If you want the Classic Trolley Experience..

I reserved a white trolley for our wedding, and I can't thank Philadelphia Trolley Works enough for their efforts and hospitality. The trolley experience was enjoyed by all (our photo/video team, bridal party, & our parents), and our driver made it even better. He was responsive by phone, incredibly helpful with loading/unloading of passengers, and he made sure no cars were coming to ensure our safety. He even went above & beyond by making an extra lap at my request to drop off our parents and grandparents at the reception while we finished pictures before coming back to get my wife and I. Highly recommend.

Easy transportation

Used for wedding transportation! They were great and super easy to work with! They shuttled people back and forth even after the after party until everyone made it back to the hotels.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party

I feel most people only write a review when it is negative. I am the opposite. I had a wonderful experience using Philadelphia Trolley Works for my son’s rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Katherine in the office was great to work with. I may have been over the top, double checking everything, but she never made me felt that way. We had a pickup at the hotel to bring the wedding party to the church for the rehearsal, wait and bring us to the Lowes Hotel for the dinner and welcome party. The drivers Vince and Tiffany, were so professional, calming to me as the MOG. The trolleys, ninety minutes later, had to start bringing our 185 guests from the hotel to the welcome party and return them after the party ended. I admit, I am a control freak and was worried with some many moving pieces someone would be left stranded. Did not happen! Everyone was well taken care of by Vince and Tiffany! The trolleys were clean too.
I was very happy with my experience!

Timely, friendly, elegant transportation experience

Philadelphia Trolley Works was great! We had a white trolley for our wedding day, and they were very easy to work with, timely on the day of, responsive, and reasonably priced. Exactly as advertised. Our driver was wonderful, so friendly and sweet!!

Who doesn't love a trolley?

It was so special to have a trolley for my wedding! They were responsive and attentive to all our transportation needs (cars, trolleys, and all), and the trolley driver took my husband and I (and our bridal party) all over the city to take amazing pictures after the ceremony. Definitely recommend!

Great Philadelphia City Transportation

Philadelphia Trolly Works was the best way to get to our location for our wedding pictures! The driver was extremely friendly, welcoming, assisted people on and off the trolley and got us to and from our locations efficiently and quickly! The wedding party that rode the trolly had great fun from the adults to the kids. We would recommend this company for anyone's transportation needs in the city of Philadelphia!

Ms.Biggs is Awesome

This place has the most wonderful people one in particular is a lady by the name of Ms.Biggs, she has been involved in many wedding evens and is highly recommend for any affair that you may have, please ask for her she give a warm and welcoming smile and service. She makes any event fun and lively and makes you want to partake in that event. Thank You trolley works for that great experience. I really love her.

They know how to run a business

While we did not end up using Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding because the logistics of our wedding day changed after rescheduling multiple times, I could not speak more highly of this company. We had the unfortunate experience of having to cancel our wedding date three times due to covid. Each and every single time, Philadelphia Trolley Works was nothing but flexible and understanding. This speaks volumes about how they operate their business given that I'm sure this period was beyond difficult for them as a business yet at no point did they let this affect how they treated us. I have already recommended them to multiple friends and they will be my first call when I need transportation in the future.

Flexible and on time!

We used PTW to shuttle the bridal party to and from the church & reception location for our wedding. First the trolley was prompt and even early for arrival, approx 1 hr before the contracted time. We changed last minute and added a trip so the guys could get to the church early. The driver was great with helping the girls on, holding flowers and even played us music on the way to reception...with everything else we completely forgot to think of this but so glad she did! She also maneuvered a small circle driveway like a pro! Really great service all around.

Perfect!!!!!

The easiest and most pleasant wedding vendor that we dealt with. I spoke with Tyrone multiple times throughout the year due to changing our date 3 times because of COVID. He was extremely helpful and accommodating. I couldn't imagine a better experience and then we met Vince, the driver. He took the time in the morning to do a dry run of the route before he picked up the groom and groomsman. He was very patient and pleasant. He arrived early and ensured that we got to all of our destinations safely. I would definitely recommend this company for any future events! Thank you!!!!!

Prompt and flexible!

We had a great experience with Philadelphia Trolley Works; our wedding day was quite chilly, and our trolley driver was able to keep the trolley nearby so that we could all warm up beween photos. We finished photographs a little earlier than expected, so she also made an additional stop at the hotel before the reception, which was much appreciated! Our driver also assisted one of my bridesmaids with some safety-pinning, which was much appreciated!

Our wedding trolley was great!

We booked our wedding trolley with Philadelphia Trolley Works and we were so happy with the service we were provided. Our trolley took our bridal party, parents, and my husband and I to our church ceremony, then around for pictures, and then to our reception. We price out several local trolley companies and Phila. Trolley Works was by far the most affordable. We worked with Ray to book our trolley and go over the locations and timing of everything on our wedding day and he was so great to work with and always got back to me very quickly. I had to make changes a few times leading up to our day for different reasons and Ray was so accommodating. Our driver was so friendly and helpful the day of our wedding! There was some confusion on one of our locations for photos between our photographer and I but our driver was so easy going and happily got us where we needed to be. The trolley was in great condition and really made our day special. I would highly recommend Philadelphia Trolley Works to anyone looking for a trolley for a special occasion, especially for their wedding.

Such a highlight of our day!

Philadelphia Trolley Works provided such a fun way to travel around our city taking pictures of various locations. Evelyn is Amazing!!!

Philadelphia Trolley Works was outstanding. I especially want to provide a recommendation and thank you to Evelyn, our trolley driver. Evelyn showed up promptly to my parents house to pick up the girls and drove us into the city safe and sound. She was friendly and helpful and knew her way around the city streets. When we arrived at the church, Evelyn waited with me on the trolley until it was time for me to enter. She helped me off the trolley, helped me walk up the church steps, and most importantly, Evelyn pinned my veil back on my head when it fell off as I began walking down the aisle!!! She truly went above and beyond, and made me feel so taken care of during a very stressful moment. I cannot recommend Evelyn and Philly Trolley Works enough! We had such a blast, and I am eternally grateful for her help!

Best Trolley & Bus Co!

I worked with Mr. Tyrone Holt for the transportation for my daughters wedding. His professionalism and courtesy were unsurpassed. We had multiple venues where we needed to move guests - from the hotel to the ceremony to the reception and back to the hotel. He made every effort to accommodate our schedule and went the extra mile to make sure all of our needs were met. I give him 5 out of 5 Stars for the job he did for me!

Loved It! Would Trolley Again!

For our wedding last April based around various places in Philadelphia, we decided that a trolley would be a good investment in moving the wedding party and immediate family from hotel to church to reception venue and back again. We are certainly glad we did! The trolley was a wonderful touch aesthetically for the old-fashioned touches we had in our wedding, and our driver was pleasant the entire time! We are pleased with what we got using them, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for transportation services for their event!

A Philly tradition!

We've heard nothing but great things about Philly Trolley Works and they did not disappoint! From first contact, Molly was helpful and informative and got us set up with a medium sized bus and trolley for our day. They arrived at the Hotel Monaco on time and proceeded to shuttle all of our guests to and from Old St. Mary's church. The trolley was perfect for our bridal party and made driving around the city for 3 hours for pictures a breeze! Would definitely recommend them to any other couples looking for transportation!!

Great transportation company

Philadelphia Trolley Company provides excellent shuttle service for our wedding guests from the hotel to the venue. They were flexible with letting us book a small shuttle for most of the day to first transport the bridal party and later shuttle the guests. Tyrone was very responsive and adjusted our schedule/contact as many times as needed to accommodate my changing mind :) Bus and shuttle were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent transportation option

We rented a trolley for the wedding party and a motor coach bus for our guests to be transported from the hotel to the venue. Everything went so smoothly. I'm so happy we got the trolley , the pics on board are some of my favorite. They even made a special sign for us that was so thoughtful. We worked with Tyrone who was very responsive and super helpful. We would recommend Philly Trolley works for your transportation needs.

We booked Philadelphia Trolley works for our 7/28 wedding. We had a large wedding and needed transportation for a lot of people. We were in communication with Tyrone, who was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process. He was able to figure out the most logical and affordable way to schedule the busses. When we needed to make last minute changes, he went above and beyond in meeting our needs. On the wedding day, everything ran extremely smoothly. Could not have asked for a better experience working with a transportation company!

We hired Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding welcome event on the night before our wedding (Friday) for a tour of the city for our out-of-town guests. We were extremely happy with their service. The tour on Friday night was great and our tour guide Bill was great as well. He was very entertaining and had wonderful knowledge and great stories of Philadelphia history. Months later, our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed the tour. We also used the Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding day (Saturday) to take us around the city to different locations for our pictures. That worked out great for use as well!

I am so happy my wife and I used Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding day! With so many trolley and bus companies in the area, I thought our search for one would be difficult. Absolutely not! As soon we spoke and met with Roe, our choice was made. Roe was so incredibly nice, and very helpful throughout the whole process. She did an amazing job of following up with any questions we had right away, and even confirming and re-confirming the pick-up and drop-off locations for our wedding day! We had a beautiful white trolley pick us up at the church and drop us off at the reception, then the trolley made three trip to and from the hotel and reception venue without any problems! I heard several compliments about how nice the trolley was from guests. Thanks again Roe, and everyone at Philadelphia Trolley Works, you were a huge part of the wedding day and everything was perfect!

We used PTW to bring our guests from the Loews Hotel in Center City to our church on Rittenhouse. They did two trips in both directions, were very punctual and quick. The cute trolley cars were sold out for the day of our wedding, but they had a white school bus available that fit more people and was less expensive. We used that and were very happy!!

We engaged Philadelphia Trolley Works bridal party and guest transportation services for our December wedding. The bridal party was transported in a trolley, which arrived at each pick-up location on time. Guests were transported in two coach buses from our hotel to the venue and back, and the buses arrived on time at both the hotel and the venue at the end of the night. All three drivers were friendly and very cordial to our guests, and the vehicles were clean. Roe from PTW was extremely helpful in assisting me with mapping out the timing of pick-up and drop-off. We set an initial timeline months before the wedding and then she followed up about a week before to confirm the timeline and make any necessary tweaks.

We recently worked with the Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding in November. Our wedding was in NJ and we priced out several trolley companies in NJ and the Philadelphia Trolley Works came in several hundred dollars cheaper for the day AND honored an online coupon for us. I worked with Shelley for booking who was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. We used the trolley for our entire bridal party and to bring our guests to the ceremony from the hotel and then back to the hotel after the reception at the end of the night... So it was a long day! Our driver Patrick was GREAT! He followed all our directions even though he was outside of Philadelphia and never got lost, was early for all pick up times and was so pleasant the entire day. I felt the quality of the trolley was fantastic and I loved the way the interior was designed versus others I have seen in the past. I would absolutely recommend going with this company over others and would 100% use them again!

Philly trolley works was fabulous for our wedding. I booked way in advance and kept in touch with our sales rep, Roe. She was awesome. They called to confirm everything the day before and go over all our details! They called my MOH the day of to finalize the time and on arrival. The drive, Chanel was also so sweet. She followed directions around town for our pictures and even helped guests on and off the trolley. The pricing was reasonable and the trolley was beautiful!

My husband was in touch with Tyrone throughout the entire process, and he was friendly and responsive. We contracted a 50+ -person charter bus to take our guests and wedding party from the hotel to the venue and our driver was great. The bus was clean, the driver was friendly and on time, and followed our schedule (which was complicated) very carefully. He even adjusted it to accommodate our guests by making extra trips at the end of the night. We'd highly recommend Philly Trolley Works.

Roe helped me from start to finish on our big day, and always tried to help me out with the scheduling of transportation for both our wedding rehearsal and the day of the wedding. The entire staff was extremely professional and helpful, and really helped to make our day run smoothly!

Just used PTW in Philadelphia to move our guests, on Activity Buses, to and from our hotel. We could not have been happier with our decision to hire Philly Trolley Works. Tyrone made the set up easy (even 1 week prior to the wedding). Buses were clean, on-time, did not need any help finding our locations, and the drivers were very friendly, understanding, and helpful. The guests thought the school buses were fun and loved the transportation. I would definitely recommend to anyone doing a city wedding.

Having a large wedding party of 30, I knew I needed a vehicle large enough to transport them around Philadelphia on my wedding day. I always had my eyes set on renting a trolley for my wedding, and PTW had the perfect white Victorian trolley to meet my needs! I worked with Tyrone from the day I booked (almost a year in advance) until the day before my wedding. He had excellent communication and customer service, and he constantly assured me that I had nothing to worry about. Not to mention, the price of a trolley was so much more reasonable than renting a limo bus!

The day of the wedding came, and Gary, the trolley driver, was on time and made all of the necessary pick-ups and drop-offs. While I only rode on the trolley for a few minutes, the wedding party said that Gary was awesome and allowed them to have an amazing time!

The trolley added some vintage flare to my wedding and it was an excellent decision! Thank you Tyrone, Gary and PTW for helping to make my day be perfect!!

Finding the right transportation company for our wedding slowly became a nightmare. We had a really hard time finding anyone who would recommend their vendor.

At first I was hesitant to contact them because I thought they would only offer trolleys, which I knew were out of our budget. After speaking to them on the phone for quite a while we learned that they offered exactly what we needed (30 passenger bus) and they seemed like a good fit.They know the city, seemed reliable and their pricing was reasonable.

The day of the wedding our driver was amazing! She was flexible, relaxed and reliable - exactly what we were looking for! I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding and looking for a reliable transportation company.

I loved using the antique (original) trolley for my bridal party and parents on my wedding day!! It looked so classy and was comfortable, clean and a great mdoe of transportation around the city. We rented buses from Philadelphia Trolley Works to transport guests to and from our wedding at the Horticulture Center. Roe was a delight to work with! Completely responsive and dedicated to finding solutions!! Even when we had to change things around at the last minute, Roe worked tirelessly to work it out. Used these trolleys for transportation to and from the hotel and the Horticultural Center in July. Air conditioning was key. Everything went very smoothly and the guests enjoyed them. I worked with Tyrone who was wonderful and very helpful.

Philadelphia Trolley Works provided the wedding shuttle for my guests. It was very easy to book with them, but do book early as in prime wedding season the vehicles go fast. I hired a 36-person shuttle and it was where it needed to be, on time, throughout the wedding day. It was very clean and comfortable. My guests were happy not having to walk, even though it wasn't far between the church, hotel, and reception venue. The person with whom I made the booking was very professional and always answered my questions; he carefully reviewed the day's schedule with me. Also, the pricing was pretty good as well. If you're having a wedding in-and-around Philadelphia, this is the go-to company.

I highly recommend Philadelphia Trolley Works. I priced most trolley companies in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Philadelphia Trolley Works was very reasonably priced and in my opinion, the best looking trolleys. From the start, the customer service representative I dealt with, Tryone, was fabulous. He answered all of my questions and was very responsive. The Trolley arrived early to pick up both the groom/groomsmen & the bride/bridesmaids! It was a totally smooth experience with no issues or problems (just what a bride needs on her wedding day). We even went a few minutes over our time and weren't charged extra. Highly recommend using Philadelphia Trolley Works for your wedding transportation!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Philadelphia Trolley Works and they provided a fantastic service. We had both a trolley and a bus scheduled throughout the day at multiple times/locations, and everything arrived ahead of schedule. Our drivers were AMAZING and our guests raved about the 'good times' they had on the trolley/bus!

I also want to mention my Sales Representative, Roe D., who was an absolute joy to work with. She guided me through the entire process and dealt with several curve balls at the last minute. Her guidance and assistance was phenomenal and greatly appreciated.

We had the best trolley driver for our transportation from our church to our venue!! Everyone had a great time and I would recommend the trolley to any bride with a larger bridal party as it was very spacious and we were able to fit some of our family on as well!! We also used a party bus for our out of town guests and though I am unsure of the driver, the people on the bus raved about their ride to church! Everyone had a great time and Philadelphia Trolley Works was amazing!

I worked with Tyrone to charter a trolley to transport my bridal party around Center City for pics, and I could not have been more pleased. Tyrone worked with my budget (I.e., I asked for a better price and he gave me one), and worked with me when I wanted to change the pickup and drop off time two days before the wedding. The trolley itself was nicely kept and looks great in pics and the driver, God bless her, was a delight.

Pickup was promp and the trolley made it down alleys I thought were impassable. All around excellent service.

Our wedding a long day, so choosing a trolly here was the best value. They accommodate long days (noon-8pm) with special deals, along with holding large wedding parties. Thank you Roe, for your wonderful service in helping me organize the transportation for our wedding! We got married on Sat 8/25/12 and my husband and I were pleased with the entire outcome. Roe, our sales consultant at Phila Trolly Works, made our reservation process very smooth and easy. They made the planning arrangements work to our needs. We had reserved a large couch bus for 52 guests and the bus they provided was beautiful and very clean. The were flexible to work with our schedule and it went off without a hitch. Although transportation in general is pricey, the prices with Phila trolley works are very reasonable and comparable to all that I have seen and searched for. I am in the event industry myself and all of our clients that I know use this company especially with the Trolleys and everyone I know is always very pleased with them. I highly recommend their services and we definitely recommend them to everyone we know! Thank you! :)

The transportation services provided by Philadelphia Trolley Works were wonderful! I got a bus for my wedding day from Philadelphia Trolley Works. Jenna booked for me and she was great! Andre was our driver and he was PERFECT. Professional and friendly. He was great. I have been recommending them to all the brides I know who are getting married. Their prices are the best. I was able to get a bus all day for cheaper than other places were doing a 4-6 passenger limo for 4 hours. I highly recommend.

We used the company for our September 2015 wedding. They were easy to book and accommodated us as we made time changes and pick up locations as the date approached. The driver was friendly and sweet as could be. We loved her! She picked us up on time and brought us to all of our photo locations around center city Philadelphia with no complains. We did have one mishap. Our of the bridesmaids dresses was stained when one of the windows leaked a brown goo on her seat. It came out quickly tho. I think it might have been from the air conditioning on the trolley. The driver told us to contact Trolley works to get a refund for the price of dry cleaning the dress. We never contacted them because in the grand scheme of things, it didn't ruin anyone's day. The dress looked fine after we cleaned it.

We booked a 24 person trolley for around 1500. It was cheaper than getting a bus from other companies that we looked at. I was happy because I really wanted a trolley anyway!

I changed the number of trolleys and schedule about 5 times and they were amazing in accomodating my requests. The trolley driver was extremely nice and supportive to me as a bride on the day of my wedding. All the trolleys I had (we had 3) had AC and were very clean. I called several other vendors but trolley works had the best price and since our wedding was downtown...and they are downtown...it seemed less risky than going with a company that could've hit traffic on the way into philly on memorial day weekend.

We brought on Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding day to shuttle our bridal party for photos around the city. Overall, the experience was great and met our expectations. The driver was very helpful and flexible when it came to visiting various sites, especially since we made some changes on the spot about where we wanted to go. The trolley was clean and the air conditioning made it very comfortable on the warm day. It's on the pricier side and there is a minimum of 3 hours, but would recommend if you're looking for a trolley in the city.

I always loved the idea of having a trolley for my Wedding for a few reasons: For one, I love the look of a Trolley and two they fit a lot more people than a limo. I went back and forth between a party bus also, but I thought the trolley had a more Wedding-like feel. I was very happy with Philadelphia Trolley Works. They were very responsive every time I called- which unfortunately I did a lot with time and location changes! They never seemed annoyed at all the changes, they would make them and email me over a copy of everything we discussed.

The day of the Wedding, not only did they show up on time... they were 30 mins early to ensure we would be on time. The driver, Manuel, was the best. He always made sure to help me in and out of the trolley and made sure I was comfortable. You can tell he was no rookie to Weddings. He was courtesy and very kind. When we arrived at our final stop he helped us unload all the coolers and other belongings (they let you leave things on the trolley in between stops and allow you to drink and celebrate on the Trolley if you want). You get more than just a driver when you book them for transportation.

Overall, I was very pleased with the whole planning process with Trolley Works and they could not be more accommodating the day of the Wedding.

Philly Trolley Works did not let me down. They were so easy to work with and made everything run smoothly on my wedding day. I worked with Ray to arrange everything before the wedding and he was always very professional on the phone. They even called me to ask if I wanted a free upgrade to the wedding trolley, which I did not expect. On my wedding day, our driver called my contact person to let her know they were there and ready to pick us up (they arrived early) and our trolley driver was polite, professional, and took us where we wanted to go (even made an unplanned stop for us when we decided to get some photos somewhere else). We hired Philadelphia Trolley Works for our wedding and it was a great addition to our day. The trolley was awesome, fit 20 of us more then comfortably and was so much fun! It made for great pictures and we were able to hire them on somewhat short notice. They were also cheaper then some other trolley companies that I contacted which was a plus however, I cant get over how expensive it is to rent a trolley for such a short amount of time. We had a total of 3 hours for our rental and spent a total of probably 20 minutes actually using it. But either way, Im so glad we did!

I was very pleased with Philadelphia Trolley Works. I was so excited that the trolley was air conditioned! I sat right under the vent because I was so hot! haha Anyway, the trolley was very prompt, the driver was courteous and kept to himself (some drivers in general can be annoying), and he was very patient when we wanted to take pictures in front of the trolley. Ray at Philly Trolley Works was very responsive and even contacted me a week before the wedding to confirm the number of riders on the trolley and to ensure that his driver's directions were correct. He was personable and professional. The driver arrived at my house 45 minutes early (without us paying for overtime) simply to ensure that he did not sit in Friday afternoon traffic. We had a great time on the trolley and it looks so nice in our photos. It was air conditioned and comfortable. Our driver was very courteous as well. I would highly recommend them. Even though it was slightly more expensive than a stretch limo SUV, it was much classier looking.

My wife and I used use Philly Trolley works for our wedding. We had one white trolley and a large coach bus to shuttle our guests back and forth.

The coach bus was perfect and the diver could not have been better. He backed out of our venue's small gates at 2am in the pitch dark with no problem. He was friendly, courteous and professional. At one point did a head count of my entire wedding to make sure everyone was going to have a seat at the end of the night.

As for the trolley I was a little disappointed. It was dirtier than expected and the driver seemed uninterested in what she was hired for. She wasn't out of the trolley letting people know which wedding she was there for, just kind of dozing off in the driver seat. At one point while heading to the venue she sat frozen at a green light because she couldn't bother looking up from her cell phone.

Otherwise everything was great. Tyrone, our sales rep, was very professional, accommodating and responsive. I'd recommend them, but I don't know if I'd choose a trolley again.

Trolley provided was clean and nice. However, I wish someone at Philadelphia Trolley Works would have pointed out to me that air conditioning was not included. I realized afterwards when I went back and re-read my contract that it does not guaruntee A/C - however - I wish someone would have said "hey your wedding is in July, do you want to pay extra for A/C?" I would have gladly paid more! It ended up not being a huge deal - even though it was 97 degrees. And the driver even took my bridal party to burger king on the way back because they were starving!

Overall, we had a good experience with Philadelphia Trolley Works. Most important: they showed up on time and got us where we needed to be on time. The trolley was in good condition, as described and made for some cute pictures. Our driver was friendly and flexible about moving times around when the party went late.

One major disappointment was the music situation. We were told that we could plug in an ipod or iphone to play music and we made a playlist for the ride. But on the day of, they didn't have the needed adaptor cord. This is something we anticipated they would provide and it was not communicated to us that we would need anything other than our ipod. That's why I can't give 5/5 stars.

The Trolley Works made transportation to and from my wedding site very easy. The decor of the trolley gave my wedding that antique touch I was really looking for! Even though our driver was not exactly what I would call "cheerful," he made no complaint about the number of times he drove to and from the hotel and the reception, and he even threw in an extra location for our bridal party photographs before the ceremony.

Working with our contact, Caroline, at The Philadelphia Trolley Works was great. She was very easy to get in touch with, very friendly and accommodating.

A little pricey, but I think worth it.

The trolley arrived an hour early and was clean and beautiful on both the inside and outside! The A/C was blasting and was perfect for our July wedding day. The driver was patient with us and all of our requested stops along the way. What a great addition to our day!

We utilized Philadelphia Trolley Works for our transportation needs, which included a Victorian Trolley for family and party as well as coach buses for guests.

The service worked out quite well, everyone arrived on time and the drivers were great. However, the cost was pretty significant for three buses plus the trolley, and maybe this is the industry norm but was a bit expensive. Overall I would recommend.

We use PTW for bridal party transportation and the guest shuttling from our hotel to venue, both in downtown Philadelphia. We received a call the night before that our trolley would not be available which is why I am giving a 4 star rating. They substituted with a charter bus, which was fine but took away from the feel that we were hoping for that day. The drivers were timely and polite.

PTW was on time with a clean and air-conditioned trolley for our ceremony. While a bit pricey when compared to the cost of a limo, the trolley does add character to the day. PTW was easy to contract with and responsive.

We chose trolleys for our wedding transportation – bridal party and guests – to add to the Philadelphia experience. Per my Mom, the company was pleasant to work with – she started calling her contact her "BFF" because of all the calls.

However they did "mess up" a bit on the day of. It didn't end up being hugely catastrophic, but there were some hiccups and we ended up getting some money back.

I think if you have a relatively simple transportation schedule and there are alternatives if something goes wrong (e.g. cabs), they're fine, but we had a very detailed (and fairly simple) schedule drawn up for them and they couldn’t make it work.

We rented a trolley and a mini bus for our wedding transportation. We were very happy with the quality of service the day of our wedding, and both drivers got our bridal party and guests where they needed to be at the right time.
After seeing on the contract a little note about not all trolleys being air conditioned, I called to check on ours and was surprised to find out ours would be open air and no one bothered to tell us- for JULY. Anyway, another air conditioned trolley became magically available, and so this worked out because of our attention to detail. Also, although we only needed the mini bus to make one trip, we were charged for 4 hours of unlimited service. I understand the opportunity cost here, however, PTW made a lot of money off of this and could have passed on a little to us.
Overall, very happy with the service, just spent a lot of time making phone calls leading up to our wedding day.

We paid a lot of money to have a white trolley and paid to have it for 12 hours so we could use it as a guest shuttle as well. The driver was not friendly and didn't really speak to anyone. He hit several potholes on the road (and not gently) while the bridal party was in there. When he was shuttling guests, they told me that he hit a road sign and continued to hit it for the entire length of the trolley. Then, when my husband asked if he could slightly move the trolley because we wanted to take a picture in front of the venue, he looked like he was being inconvenienced by the GROOM who spent a LOT of money to hire him. I was disappointed that the experience was not good especially after all of that money we spent.

The trolley was pretty but the air conditioner was broken. Being in a heavy dress in a very hot day was not fun with no relief from the trolley. The driver said he did try to get another trolley but they were all unavailable.

My dad rented a party bus to transport guests from hotel to church to venue to hotel. Half of the guests were from out of town. Bus was late - half of the guests missed half of the ceremony. Would not recommend. (Should have known when I started dealing with this company and was told that I was "trying to solve a problem" when I was trying to explain that I wasn't sure how many people/what times for pick-up, etc. Don't expect help planning your transportation from this company.) Gave us somewhat of a refund, but the damage was done.

Avoid this business at all cost. We engaged them for a wedding in Philadelphia and 1) even despite detailed instructions they sent the buses to the wrong hotels and then 2) employed faulty equipment so that one bus with a malfunctioning defroster contributed to visually incapacitating/effectively blinding the driver. Wedding guests were up front wiping down the windshield in an attempt to aid his vision. No such luck. He ran up on a median and crashed into a bike rack. The potential for physical danger to guests was very real and we were lucky that there were no reported injuries as of this review. When asked about compensation Philadelphia Trolly Works offered minimum recompense, were intractable about it, and had the stones to insist in the release that we post no reviews of the service in order to be compensated. Do NOT take a risk with these guys when it is a day that comes once in a lifetime. An epic fail.

Do not use them, especially in South Philadelphia

If you are getting married in South Philadelphia, or anywhere with a small street.. do not book Philadelphia Trolly works!

My entire experience working with them has been horrible. While they were nice on the phone, I did NOT get the service I requested OR paid for.

I got married on 1/26/24 at a Church in South Philadelphia. I was told in January of 2024 (not when I booked the vendor & paid in full) that the bus I purchased would not fit down the street of my church. I was also told that as well as all of my other bridesmaids, people coming to the wedding, etc would have to walk a half a block to my church due to the bus not being able to fit down the street. The reason though for the bus not fitting down the street is not because the street was too small.. it was because Philadelphia Trolly Works didn’t want the roof of the bus to be scratched by trees on the street. Even though this street is smaller, busses, trucks, and more can fit down here on a daily basis with no problem. They did not care that I paid for their service to take me to the door of the church and pick us back up there. I had to rent a limo company the week before my wedding just to get them to drive me to the church I was getting married at. It was an awful headache and truly the worst experience I had when planning our wedding.

I will never recommend Philadelphia Trolly Works to anyone that needs a bus in the city. They were awful to work with and truly made the last month up until my wedding the most stressful. We could never get a correct answer, their employees were rude when talking to, and they were never able to answer a simple question. I felt as if I was lied to when I booked this service almost 9 months in advance.

The only shout out I would like to give is their bus driver Shawn for being nice the day of, other than that, do not use them!

When your mother first reached out to us, we informed her at that time about our concerns going down the small narrow street that she requested, would not work for our vehicles as the street was heavily lined with trees which would damage/scratch the vehicle. She indicated she would get back to us after speaking with you. She did reach back and said she would like to proceed with the understanding that we would need to pick up everyone at the corner of the street as outlined in your contract.
We then hear from you approximately 2 days before your wedding requesting if there was any way possible that we could come down the street. In an effort to be certain we had one of the dispatchers go to the address and yes as we stated in the beginning it would not be possible. Tori please trust that we want all our customers to be pleased it is very unfortunate that we failed you, we hope that you will give us another opportunity to be service. All the best!

30 minutes late to my wedding

Don't book this company unless you're willing to be late to your own wedding. The driver (who is still employed by the company?!) was late picking up the groomsmen, drove into someone's yard and got stuck with all the groomsmen on board, couldn't pay a towing company because he had no money on him, and proceeded to pick me and my bridesmaids up 30 minutes late for my own wedding. I missed doing a "first look" with my dad, we had to pay our church a $200 late fee, and the company refused to negotiate a reasonable settlement, claiming their original offer was "fair and agreed upon". Aside from being a complete disappointment in terms of their operations on the day of the wedding, Ray was unreasonable in claiming the "only other option" we had was to raise a court case. This company has no respect for the importance of your special day and will certainly let you down.

Don't use this company. I booked a trolley for my wedding. They sent a trolley with an broken air conditioner that leaked water all over the trolley's floor. I was upset and worried that gowns would get wet while on the trolley. I filed a complaint and asked for refund of 50%. The manager "Ray" was not sympathetic to this special occasion and said he would only refund $150 because they did the job and it was just water. I also would have to sign a waiver stating I would not right negative reviews regarding the company. Don't use this company!

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! I hired Philadelphia Trolley Works (PTW) to provide shuttles for my guests between the ceremony and reception locations. Though my wedding was in downtown Philadelphia and the locations weren't more than 10 blocks apart, it rained the entire day of my wedding, so the shuttles were a prudent hire and critical to keep guests dry and safe. PTW hired to provide two buses making two rounds of shuttles from the ceremony to the reception space, with each bus holding approximately 50 guests and each round taking about 1/2 of my 200 guests. Unfortunately, each bus made only ONE trip before departing without any notice given to myself, my coordinators, or my guests. This left about half of my guests, including my family (mother, father, and brother) stranded in poor weather waiting uncertainly for the buses to return. It was about 30 minutes before we realized the buses weren't coming back and the guests committed to taking taxi's and ubers to the reception location. This delay put our reception behind schedule (given that the bride's family was not there on time) and forced many guests to shell out money for transportation when we had promised them shuttles. No one took this poorly, but I was still embarrassed by the mishap. PTW's drivers had apparently booked another engagement IMMEDIATELY after my wedding. The poor weather + regular downtown traffic caused the first loop to run so slowly that they were unable to make the second trip without missing their second engagement. So, they simply left. As the professionals in this situation, PTW should have anticipated that the window we hired them for was too short, especially given that THEY WERE THE ONES TO SUGGEST THE WINDOW IN THE FIRST PLACE! At the VERY LEAST, someone at their office could have had the courtesy to inform my coordinators of the situation sooner so that guests could have made alternative plans sooner rather than later.

I am mortified by the service that was provided for my wedding by Philadelphia Trolley Works, and hope that future Philly brides take my experience as a warning!
We had contracted PTW to transport our hotel guests from the suburbs to our Center City reception. The driver arrived in a mini bus that had a broken air conditioner on a 90 degree day. Multiple guests asked if there was anything that could be done about how hot it was on the bus. Why was this not checked before leaving the warehouse?
The driver elected to avoid the highway and take my guests through abandoned West Philadelphia. He drove entirely too fast -- so much so that two of our guests took a cab home upon arrival at our reception because they had gotten sick with motion sickness and the heat.
The worst of it was when he HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE! He got off of the bus, and began screaming obscenities at the driver of the other vehicle. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I reported this to PTW after the wedding, and they called me a liar because the driver "is a church goer." What does that have anything to do with him hitting another car and not reporting it?
At the end of the night, I had four guests elect to take UBER cars at their own expense back to the suburban hotel because they didn't get want to get back on the bus.
Word of advice: Run to another vendor.
