From start to finish, I only became more and more impressed with Petruzzo Photography. William was very responsive to our initial questions regarding both cost/package elements as well as things like being able to work with people who don't speak english. Our engagement shoot continued to prove we chose well, as William was able to generate an atmosphere my partner could relax and be properly photographed in. Meetings leading up to the big day were helpful as he helped us navigate what made the most sense for the day to meet what we were looking for in the most successful way possible. On the day it was so much fun - both William and Felipe bring a fantastic energy with them. People were laughing and smiling while being photographed and we got a lot of comments from guests on how much fun our photographers were - even before we got the photos! The photos themselves were just out of this world. Both of them paid special attention to photographing the items in the wedding that were hand made on top of stunning portraits. They caught moments that I didn't even know took place, which was a joy in and of itself. The photos also showed how much they listened to us when we talked about what we were looking for - even if certain things weren't on the official "list" which, to me, shows how thoughtful they are and how attentive to the details they can be. 10/10 would recommend them to ANYONE - but especially to anxiety-filled nerds like myself and my husband who need someone they can feel comfortable around when posing for photos isn't what we are use to doing. -

Best photography we could ever ask for!!
We had the most amazing experience working with William and Felipe. During the entire planning experience, William was extremely responsive and helpful. He made sure that he captured exactly what we had pictured our day to look like. Both William and Felipe were so warm and welcoming and made the experience 10 times more fun. Everyone at our wedding loved them! Not only did they capture beautiful photos of my husband and I, but they captured photos of all of our guests. Looking back at these photos has been a truly wonderful experience, and we would recommend them to anyone who is planning to have professional photography at their wedding!! -

William (and Felipe) are the BEST! From the beginning, William was very responsive, organized, and so easy to work with; we knew we were in good hands. Wedding day came and we had a whole plan worked out... even when that plan went a little sideways, William and Felipe were still able to capture all of the greatest shots and didn't miss a beat.
The photos turned out absolutely stunning, and the quality of his work is incredible. We’ll treasure our photos forever!!

Petruzzo Photography was not only incredibly communicative but also had a fantastic sense of humor, making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire wedding process. From the initial contact to the final delivery, they were always quick to respond to any questions we had, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.
Now, let me tell you about their dedication. They literally bent over backwards to accommodate our constantly changing schedule and the unpredictable weather. Rain or shine, they were ready with a smile and a camera, making sure every moment was perfectly captured. And as if that wasn’t enough, they cheerfully followed us to a local brewery to snap some of the most amazing photos of the day.
And let's not forget our dog! Petruzzo Photography treated her like a VIP, including her in many of the shots and capturing her playful spirit perfectly. She was as much a part of the day as we were, and the photos with her are some of our favorites.
Their ability to capture every moment, both big and small, was truly impressive. The end result? Photos that exceeded our wildest expectations.

The BEST photographer in the DMV
Petruzzo Photography absolutely exceeded our expectations. William is AMAZING at what he does. My husband and I know nothing about posing and how to make photos look good, so he gave us the best tips and coaching a long the way to make the photos look incredible. William did our engagement photos and then our wedding photos (with his associate Felipe), which absolutely blew us away. He really understands how to use natural light and incorporate natural elements in his work. -

Petruzzo Photography was AMAZING! I can’t speak highly enough. As a person who doesn’t love getting their picture taken, William immediately made me feel relaxed and excited. William and Felipe were great! We built a fairly demanding timeline for our wedding photos (i.e. we needed a lot of photos of a large wedding party in a short amount of time). We couldn’t be happier with the result. William and Felipe arrived early, scouted the venue, and prepped for a streamlined shoot. The photos turned out great! They also covered the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour with poise and professionalism. We hardly noticed them during the events, but they managed to capture everything beautifully! They even did a wonderful write up of the event and got photo proofs to us within two weeks of the ceremony! And I haven’t even mentioned the fantastic engagement photos. We can’t recommend them more! Great photographers and a great experience! -

William was recommended to us from a family friend and we got so lucky. Made us feel so special and even though we only had them both for a short time they made sure they could take as many as photos possible. Very personable and felt an instant connection like we knew each other for years. Photos came back very fast and were absolutely perfect. Captured our day so beautifully. Thank you for being so amazing! 10/10 would recommend. William is still always there when we need him and will be hiring for future photo needs! -

William and his team did an exceptional job. Literally everyone who sees our wedding photos says they should be in a magazine. I highly recommend paying for two photographers. For our first look photos, having two photographers made it possible to capture both of our reactions really well. It also allowed them to capture more of the action in greater detail throughout the day. I was able to show the pictures to my grandmother who couldn’t be at our wedding and she really felt like she got to see the whole day unfold. The photos were important to me, and I feel like I left them in good hands! I enjoyed working with William and will definitely work with him again. -

My husband and I had two engagement photo sessions (one formal and one personality) before our wedding day which helped us get to know William & Felipe more before the wedding day. These guys are truly one-of-a-kind and make you feel like you all have been friends forever. They have such fun personalities that matched ours. After our photoshoots, it basically felt like we had made fast friends with both of them! It is extremely easy to communicate and helpful to make sure the timeline went smoothly. Due to the size and time limits in our wedding, William was extremely organized and flexible on working with a timeline to get all the shots we wanted to get and we did! We are super in love with our pictures and couldn't have asked for better photographers to be there to document our marriage! I plan to go back for more pictures in the future as well as going out to get drinks with William and Felipe sometime! -

I am so happy that we hired Petruzzo Photography for our wedding! Will and Felipe were incredible to work with, especially navigating things during covid times. Will was always very responsive and helpful. He spent time getting to know us as a couple, both over the phone and during an engagement photo session, before our wedding. The pictures taken during both the engagement session and wedding were absolutely amazing! I am so, so happy with them. I had a really hard time choosing which ones to frame and put in an album since there were so many excellent pictures. I also feel like the prices offered were a great value! Some photographers are much more expensive. I would not hesitate to recommend Petruzzo Photography to everyone I know! Thank you so much! -

Pictures are the one piece of your wedding that will last forever -- William and Filipe went above and beyond to capture breathtaking photos of our wedding day. They took appropriate precautions in light of COVID to ensure the safety of us and all of our guests but this did not prevent them from taking and producing quality photos. William is extremely flexible and easy to work with. He is quick with email responses and took the time to talk through and gain an understanding of how we envisioned our wedding day and what was important to us. He is extremely organized and helped us create a wedding day timeline to coordinate all the moving parts. I honestly think our wedding day would have been extremely chaotic without his guidance!! I can't thank him and his team enough for helping make our day perfect. We plan to use him for family photos in the future and feel we have gained a new friend through the experience! -

Personable and Heartwarming!
William and Felipe were incredible at our wedding. There are a lot of stresses when having a wedding during a pandemic, but these two made our day fun and stress-free! I could tell that William was truly putting in his best effort to find the most incredible shots for my husband and I. I had many guests tell me afterwards that William and Felipe were were a blast to be around. We spoke multiple times on the phone with William to discuss timeline and our vision/style for the wedding and he was very professional by making recommendations that would help make our wedding everything we dreamed of. We also had an engagement session with him prior to the wedding and that was so much fun! William has a fun, quirky demeanor which kept us laughing and relaxed. I would highly recommend Petruzzo Photography for any wedding/engagement session/photo op! -

My husband and I used Petruzzo Photography for our wedding back in September 2019 and it was the best decision we made regarding our wedding. From my first phone call with William when he helped me put words to my vision, all the way through to when we received our wedding photos, everything was great. My husband is not very comfortable in front of the camera, but during the engagement session, William helped him really get into it and enjoy himself. Our engagement photos really capture our personalities and our love for each other.
By far, I think my wedding experience would not have been the same without William and Felipe there to guide us along. Even under a bit of a time crunch, they were able to capture every photo arrangement our hearts desired. I am a people pleaser and I was so stressed out on the day of my wedding. William and Felipe are true professionals; their experience helped keep us moving and helped me relax. They fit right into the wedding and everything felt so natural. Our guests were all big fans, even without seeing a single picture yet!
Finally, our wedding pictures are totally SPECTACULAR! They turned out better than I could have imagined. They are beautiful and fun. William and Felipe were able to capture our friends and family, the venue, and of course, us, in a way that is so natural and so wonderful. Again, hiring Petruzzo Photography was one of the best decisions we made.

William is truly the best.
I did a solo shoot years ago and remembered him when I got engaged. He did our engagement shoot and he and Felipe did our wedding. I just cannot say enough good about this wonderful team.
Punctuality: 5/5 stars.
They are always where they say they’ll be when they say they’ll be there - even a tad early. That meant a lot to me.
Communication: 5/5 stars.
Stellar. Timely. Intelligent. Awesome.
Professionalism: 5/5 stars.
They are both extremely professional while also being extremely personable. William charted out a rough timeline of events for us which was incredibly helpful, and even availed himself to providing feedback on questions I had about how to handle questionable guests at the wedding. He is also about to provide advice on other vendors he’s worked with - William was a huge asset and calming voice during both the engagement and wedding planning.
Talent: 5/5 stars
As others have said, I detest being in front of the camera and William and Felipe with their huge smiles, professionalism and warm personalities somehow magically made me comfortable - even forgetful that there was a camera... and,
Bottom line, our photos came out amazing. We will cherish them for the rest of our lives. -

We chose to have a small (less than 20) elopement-type ceremony. Even though we started our hunt 8 months before the big day, no one was available, much less for only two hours of coverage. But Petruzzo was! We worked with Greg, who was perfect and so much fun. We had a brief phone call about two weeks beforehand to go over the details. He created a plan for me to approve so we could get all the shots that were important to us. It put me completely at ease and I was able to just relax and enjoy the entire ceremony. We just got our photos back and we are beyond ecstatic with the overall quality and style. Greg did an excellent job and I wouldn't hesitate to rebook him in a second! -

Best photographer ever!
William was absolutely the best. He answered all my million questions with clarity, kindness, and professionalism. He is an expert in timelines, poses, and lighting. William is easy going, which made my wife and I feel very comfortable and at ease. He went above and beyond my expectations...even to the point of driving my wife and I to the courthouse. The best part is that we LOVED our photos, and this is coming from someone who hated their engagement photos and who hates being in front of the camera. -

Our experience with Petruzzo Photography was incredible from the time I inquired about engagement photos all the way through doing the photoshoot and receiving the photos. Our original photographer got sick before our shoot so Felipe stepped in and took our pics. My fiancé and I had so much fun with Felipe at the Kennedy Center in DC. He really went above and beyond our expectations and made us feel comfortable being ourselves. We were really impressed with the final product of photos and have already discussed working with Petruzzo in the future. I highly recommend Felipe at Petruzzo ... Beautiful work!
Petruzzo Photography was one of the easiest and best decisions we made when it came to wedding vendors. All of our questions and worries were answered by William from the start before we hired them and knew we were in good hands. Greg F and Erik H shot the photos for us and both the engagement and wedding photos were incredible. We had a very colorful wedding and every moment was captured beautifully- I couldn't be happier with how well the colors popped in our photos. I of course was pleased the day of, but it really hit me how professional they were when guests approached me after the wedding to applaud my photographers. Many of my friends who have been married or been to other weddings noticed how nonintrusive my photographers were throughout the day yet were able to get in when they needed to to do their job. I appreciate William's artistic vision and how well the team works together. Highly recommend! -

The team at Petruzzo Photography make sure that every moment is captured. They talked us through the whole thing before the wedding happened asked us about any specific kind of shots that we wanted and made sure that they were accomplished. The photos are incredible we printed some out and hung them in our living room. On canvas it looks even better. I would highly recommend using William and Felipe for your next event. They teamed up and got all the shots that we wanted. -

I've been following William's work for years, so when I started to plan my wedding I didn't even bother shopping out the photos. We had the most incredible engagement photo shoot in a historic house and theater, and William went above and beyond to make the photos so *us*. He was so easy to work with. He made sure to have all the info he needed early on so I didn't have to worry about it on the day of. During the wedding, he and Filipe were so professional and I barely noticed they were there. When William was getting our families organized for the photoshoot, you could see what a pro he was. He made everyone feel comfortable while getting things done quickly. The photos are better than I could have dreamed. I keep looking at them over and over. William and Filipe really captured the spirit of the day and the love in everyone's eyes the whole time. Thanks to them, I'll always have these incredible photos to remember my special day. If you live in the greater DC area, you will not find a better wedding photographer. I feel so lucky. -

From the beginning, William was responsive, reassuring, practical, and friendly. He worked with us to plan our timeline - he was accommodating to our ideas and informative about what usually works best. We also got engagement photos with William, which was another lovely experience - we got creative shots that weren't your run of the mill engagement poses. On the wedding day itself, William and Felipe were a blast. All of our guests loved them - we still get people saying "Those photographers of yours were such fun! Where did you find them?" They were organized but not overly strict and really embraced the fact that weddings are celebrations! Of course, the pictures themselves were stunning. I was so thrilled to see the results. Couldn't imagine a better choice of photographer - it's not possible.

Jordan Sent on 07/27/2015When I hired Petruzzo, him and his team were the most professional group of photographers I had ever spoken with. I truly believe that they absolutely love what they do. It seems to me that when they're on site, it's their mission to capture memories and not just take photos. They find ways to get unique shots by any means necessary. They use random items to reach different vantage points, to watch them is entertaining.
I wouldn't ever hire anyone else for another event. -

Will has now done the photos for two of my best friends' weddings and mine and I cannot, absolutely cannot, recommend him enough. My husband and a bunch of people in my wedding party don't like their pictures being taken, but with Will it wasn't a chore, it was just fun. For our engagement shoot, it honestly just felt like hanging out with a new friend who happened to have a camera with him and who is really freaking good with it. For our wedding, he was able to gently herd the cats so that everything kept going smoothly. He's also very good at recognizing when I hit my limit and was like "Okay, so I'll just go off and take pictures, enjoy your wedding!" I just got all my photos back for the wedding, and I'm so happy with them I can't stand it. So, yes, I cannot recommend him enough; you will not regret it. -
