The Petroleum Club helped make the wedding of my dreams come true! The entire staff was nothing but professional and personable the entire time we worked with them. They made sure that every detail was attended to so that we didn't have to stress. If you're looking for a classy, elegant, STRESS FREE wedding - this is absolutely the venue for you. They take care of food, DECORATIONS, lighting, music, etc. Nothing is missed with this group! Jordan, the Events Manager is SPECTACULAR. She listened to all my concerns, wants, anxieties and made it all work seamlessly. Without her, we wouldn't have had the event that we did. The food was great, the service was amazing, and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding venue! -

User2263980 Sent on 08/10/2015Petroleum Club helped our reception go off without any problems! All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They did all the setting up and clean up, so all we had to do was show up and have a wonderful time! The food was also delicious!!

Amanda Sent on 04/07/2008There is a reason the Petroleum Club is THE place to have your reception in Wichita. They take care of every single aspect of the reception. You don't even need to worry about extra flowers to decorate as they go all out for every season with their decor. They will also make any wedding cake you want at a great price. They were so accommodating and attentive. I couldn't have asked for anything more. -
User1599974 Sent on 04/28/2014My husband and I are soooooo relieved and happy that we booked the Petroleum Club for our reception. We booked the Petroleum Club after looking at several other venues - the other venues in town were beautiful, however, the timing of when we could set things up/decorate became an issue because we were not sure of timing for our wedding day and most places required an extra fee to set up early.
My first visit I was blown away by the professionalism of Kathy (director of events) and the gorgeous setting/layout of the Petroleum Club! One thing we were hesitant about was that it is all inclusive - meaning they do EVERYTHING for the reception..which I definitely didn't know what to expect (I already had a catering company in mind by that point!)...but we decided to book them!
I contacted the Petroleum Club several times after booking our reception - some emails did take a while to be returned, however, all questions would be answered fully. For the entryway to our reception I have envisioned this LARGE fall bouquet type thing with long tree branches and told Kathy what I had in mind. The day before the wedding we arrived with the large branches for our front entrance thing.....well, overnight my branches wilted and looked horrible. On wedding day I was informed (by the person in charge of decorating) that he took care of everything and had put something new together which would be a surprise when we showed up for the reception - well my husband and I were BLOWN away by what he had put together - straight out of a wedding magazine and an entry decoration more beautiful than we could've thought of. Everything was WONDERFUL - food delicious, music was fun, my cake was gorgeous and I didn't need to worry about it being delivered on time.
If you want a care free reception venue book the petroleum club. We still receive constant compliments on our wedding reception venue, decorations, and food.

- They handle so much of the work that you really just have to go in for a few meetings and fill in the blanks.
- They set up and take down
- they will plan the order of the events at the reception and keep them moving
- they will take your Pinterest board and (after a showing of their interpretation of the board) do all of your decorations (excluding live floral)
- Brad did a great job at our reception keeping things moving yet also staying out of the way (he even got Netflix going in the other room for my flower girls)
- the food was great
- the club was willing to be our backup ceremony and only asked for a few hours heads up
Now the negatives:
- our guests were calling us at our pictures as they were locked out of the main floor entrance
- the DJ did not have the song list. I should have realized this when we heard the last song of the night playing when we were first getting there. I then should have realized when I saw him asking my family about the song list and then asking me a few questions. I finally realized it when I went out the throw my bouquet and it was the wrong song. When I asked the DJ if he had the list, he said no. (I had sent it in and confirmed it was received by the club). This slowed things down as he had to get the songs ready that we wanted. The club offered a small discount for this issue.
- RED SOLO cups. This is a nice place. You expect a nice setting and are paying for a nice setting. So I was not happy when I saw my guests drinking out of red solo cups. There was plenty of glassware available and the crowd was not rowdy so it's not as though glasses were breaking. When I asked the club about this later, they explained that later in the evening they switch some glasses to plastic to prevent breakage and that maybe my guest poured her wine into the red cup as they would only serve water in the red cups. I don't care what's in the cups! I don't want red solo cups at this fancy event.
