My wife and I got married at the Grafton Inn this past August. We were privileged enough to book the Miles Band for our reception, with Peter Miles performing solo acoustic guitar during our ceremony. Miles was a pleasure to work with during the planning process, taking the time to understand our needs and accommodating special song requests. It is difficult to overstate the level of talent, charisma, and positive energy that he and the band displayed on our wedding day. Miles performed beautifully during our ceremony and helped create the intimate and warm atmosphere that we hoped to cultivate. During the reception, the Miles Band performed our requested first dance song with feeling and grace, and then succeeded in immediately getting all of our family and friends on the dance floor. There was not a moment that the band was playing in which people were not dancing. Miles and the band showed not only top-notch musicianship, but developed an easygoing and jovial rapport with the crowd. Of all of the aspects of our wedding, we have heard the most feedback about the music, which has been universally positive. Many of our loved ones commented that they felt they were at a concert rather than a wedding reception. The setlist was a great mix of songs from various genres and eras, proving that the band has a remarkable range and can cater to any audience. Peter and the MILES Band played for our VT wedding this summer, and having them perform was the best decision we made for our wedding. Peter was extremely communicative and a pleasure to work with, from the first email through the wedding day. He was flexible in every regard, and was a great emcee for our whole reception. They even took a special song request, learned the song and knocked it out of the park! The MILES band had our dance floor packed for the full show, and our only complaint is that the venue had a 930PM music cutoff and they couldn't keep playing longer!
Musically, the band is phenomenal - they played everything well. There were lots of musicians on our guest list who were all very impressed with the sound of the band, and most of our follow up conversations with guests in the weeks since the event have included conversations about the amazing band. We were very lucky to find Peter and the MILES band, and if we had to go back and choose a band again, we would pick the MILES band every time!

We had the absolute best night of our lives at our wedding, and that was due in large part to the fact that we hired Peter Miles & The Miles Band.
Peter was incredibly professional throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding, including helping us create the perfect versions of songs we loved for our walk down the aisle and our first dances. Peter was also an incredible emcee for the evening, keeping the night on track in a really fun way.
Most importantly, the Miles Band kept everyone on the dancefloor all night long with their incredible sound and a varied setlist that completely met the moment. We truly cannot recommend Peter Miles & The Miles Band enough!!Peter Miles and The MILES Band's reply:

Peter Miles and the MILES Band provided the music for our wedding last weekend and they were excellent! Miles provided acoustic music for our ceremony, served as the emcee during the reception, and then the band kept folks on the dance floor all night long. Miles was kind, responsive, easy to work with, and really helped to make our day special. Many of our guests commented on how great the band was. Even those who weren't big dancers enjoyed listening to the live music. We would highly recommend working with the MILES Band! -

We had Peter join us to perform solo at our welcome dinner in Grafton for ~110 guests and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. First of all Peter is awesome to work with as he is extremely nice and gracious. Second of all he is a very talented vocalist and guitarist with a comprehensive song list. Many of our guests commented on how good the music was and how it matched the vibe of our welcome dinner perfectly. We had the pleasure of hiring Peter Miles and The MILES Band for our wedding at the end of September - and they were amazing! Peter Miles played acoustic music during our ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful - and he was so flexible and easy to work with - We didn't really know what we wanted for ceremony music and Miles helped us by providing many recommendations and was very responsive to all of our wants. The ceremony music was just perfect! And then the band played for the reception and it was amazing! We asked them to learn a few songs for us and they nailed them. Other than our must play songs, we didn't have any strong feelings about specific music to play, but they had a huge song bank to pull from and when we told them we just really wanted good dance music, they had the dance floor filled for the whole reception - I loved that they were flexible and able to meet our requests, but the things we didn't know what we wanted or didn't have ideas for, they were supportive with ideas/able to just go with the flow! We LOVED working with Miles & having the Miles Band at our wedding!! The music was great and everyone was on the dancefloor the whole reception! We received countless comments from guests about how much they all enjoyed the music selection & how much fun energy they brought to the whole night.
Miles was just as great during the planning process leading up to our big day too. As big live music fans, we knew we wanted a band over a DJ and we originally considered the Miles Band because of their different pricing offers & options. Miles was flexible about allowing us to change how many band members were included (ultimately we went with the full 6 piece band!) and even added on additional options for ceremony music and the Jazz Trio for our cocktail hour! The band was able to learn & play a few of our specialty dance songs as well, which added a special touch to the night! My husband and I were married at the Grafton Inn in June. After hearing Peter Miles perform several times at the Phelps Barn pub, we asked him to sing at our welcome bonfire. What a talented musician! Our guests loved the relaxed vibe of the night and told us over and over how much they enjoyed the music, which ranged from vintage James Taylor to Ed Sheehan covers, and included some fantastic original songs as well. I've fortunately had the opportunity to work with Miles and his band many times, as I'm the Event Coordinator, for a popular Inn that regularly hosts weddings in Southern Vermont. The Miles Band is always my go-to recommendation for couples or clients who are interested in hiring either a solo acoustic guitar player (Miles himself,) duo or trio for cocktail hour, or the full band to play for their reception.
When I began to plan my own wedding, hiring Miles and his band was a no-brainer. We asked Miles to perform solo for our cocktail hour and then his band joined him for the reception. We knew they were the perfect band for our wedding since we had guests ranging from young adults to elderly folks. They had everyone dancing and we still get so many comments about how great they were! Not only are they insanely talented musicians, they are professional, organized and always so accommodating to individual requests.
Thank you Miles for everything - we had the time of our lives dancing the night away at our wedding! I will continue to recommend you to anyone looking for outstanding music at their own wedding or event - always!!Peter Miles and The MILES Band's reply:

If you are looking for incredible acoustic guitar as a background for your ceremony entrance, and an acoustic guitar / singer for a great backdrop to your cocktail hour, look no further than Miles. We actually discovered Miles when he was playing at The Grafton Inn for a Friday night entertainment. His music was beautiful, relaxing, and he covers everything from The Beatles to John Mayer to Country and full spectrums in between. He was easy to communicate with, and we received many compliments on not only the music itself, but the sound quality during the ceremony / cocktail hour.Peter Miles and The MILES Band's reply:

Miles and his band were AMAZING. Every single guest complimented the music from start to finish. Miles sang and played solo acoustic guitar for our ceremony, which set the perfect mood. For our cocktail hour, Miles offered a fantastic jazz trio. They learned an impressive list of our favorite Bossa Nova tunes, and played them beautifully. For dancing, we enjoyed the full sound of their whole ensemble, including a fantastic female vocalist. They kept us all on the dance floor, all night long!
The whole band also looked great - dressed stylishly and appropriately. I was surprised that the band only took one short break halfway through the party - just long enough for our cake cutting. Miles learned a new song at our request for our recessional, and the band expertly modified our first dance song so we could make it last longer.
Corresponding with Miles was a delight. He is responsive, impeccably professional, and courteous. He answered our every question patiently and knowledgeably, and was willing to tweak our contract to fit our needs perfectly.
The Miles Band (in all its iterations throughout our special day) was our smartest wedding investment. We couldn't be happier with every moment of their performance, and our guests echoed that compliment in spades. Daniel Sent on 08/24/2018Booking the Miles Band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From start to finish, we loved every second. Miles got a sense of the type of music we were into and kept the dance floor full of smiles the whole night. They even learned some new songs for us! To top it off they let my old band buddies and I take over their instruments and jam for a couple songs. Miles 7 piece band is highly recommended. They are all super talented and love what they do and really made our day special and unforgettable.

They totally surprised us and had learned ALL three of our personal dance songs and all sounded fantastic. For performing in a smaller area their sound was on point, volume wise and as a unit. The energy and clear talent from this group was amazing for all to watch and we got many compliments for having them! I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone looking to have the perfect live music

From booking to playing, Peter was personal, professional, and full of life! While planning Peter provided us with a list of songs he and his band loved to play, while also giving us the options of adding a few of our own choices! Peter was thrilled that my husband was so involved with picking music. My husband is VERY into music! Peter and his band truly connected with our guests! Incredibly Talented Band!
The Miles Band crushed it at our wedding!
We chose the Miles Band because we knew exactly what we were going to get - energy, talent, professionalism and the ability to keep the party engaged throughout the night was something we couldn't find in another band.
We couldn't have been happier with our decision.
