My wife and I had an incredible experience working with Peter. He was very involved in the planning experience, helping us walk through every detail of our schedule and asking us thoughtful questions about the type of vibe we were trying to go for. On the day itself he was able to fade into the background when needed or completely take charge and round up our large family for group photos. We got the finished gallery last week and I could not believe how great everything came out. Would 100% recommend hiring him, you will not regret it! -

To say that having Peter and his wife Peg as our wedding photographers was amazing would be an understatement. They were seriously the best choice that we could have made! They have a style that made us feel comfortable during all of the "day of" photos, like we were just hanging out with friends, and leading up to the wedding day, Peter was incredibly accommodating, answering our (many!) questions and even getting us a second photographer when we decided that would be useful based on our timeline a few weeks before. We were very clear that we wanted a photographer who would be an integrated part of our day, one who would not interrupt our time with friends and family to take staged photographs, and Peter and Peg were so wonderful at capturing the moments as they happened throughout the night. And the pictures we got back (just a week and a half later I might add!) are just incredible--Peter truly was able to capture the joy and love that was our wedding day, and I know that we will treasure the photos for the rest of our lives! -

Peter was a pleasure to work with. He made sure to capture all the important moments of our wedding and coordinated all the groups we needed pictures with very well. Our photos have come out great and are a perfect way to remember our day. He offers a photobooth which I highly recommend! Our friends and family loved having the option to take fun and goofy pictures all throughout the evening. I absolutely recommend working with Peter for your wedding. We were planning long distance, to make things more challenging, but Peter made this easy to coordinate. Working with Peter was one of the best decisions we made! -

What a wonderful experience it was working with Peter Demuth Photography! Peter and his wife Peg captured our special day perfectly. They were prompt, prepared and professional. When doing photo shoots, Peter was very good at directing everyone so that the best photos could be captured, and when he was shooting our ceremony and reception, he blended into the background so well, you almost forgot he was there. My husband and I asked to get some shots in nature, and between the ceremony and reception, Peter and Peg even trekked into the woods with us with all their equipment to get some fantastic shots.
Peter Demuth Photography offers one of the best photobooths I have ever seen. The backdrop selection was amazing, there were great props, and Peg personally manned the photobooth throughout the reception. This means that she was able to tell the wedding guests if one of them was outside of the range of the camera, and also to capture the image when people were actually ready. The camera was high quality, so the images were clear and crisp. They handed out a card with the link at the wedding, and the photos were available by the next day. The photos came out so fantastically, we honestly consider the photos from the photobooth to be like having a second photographer.
I would recommend Peter Demuth Photography for anyone looking for a photographer. I’m so happy that my special day will live on forever through these spectacular photos.

My wife and I could simply not have made a better choice for a photographer. Peter has so much experience and it is abundantly clear through his kind demeanor and his professionalism. At the end of the day Peter will get you the pictures you will look at with your loved ones for the rest of your life and smile with joy.
Peter could also make for a great weatherman! Jokes aside, with Peter my wife and I were able to take pictures for our engagement shoot in Central Park even with spots of rain. Of course, they turned out beautifully. It rained on my wedding day as well - but we had the secret weapon of Peter - so no sweat, our pictures look fantastic :)
Thank you Peter for capturing such fantastic moments on our big day. For anybody reading this, put your trust in Peter Demuth Photography! -
Jenna Sent on 07/12/2018Peter Demuth and his wife are a tag team duo that are down for whatever the couple has in store for them. His photography has captivated us since my husband and I first started searching for a photographer for our Mohonk wedding. His eye for detail and ability to capture the essence of the couple and the space is outstanding and unmatched. We have been blown away by Peter and his willingness to go above any beyond.
To capture our engagement photos, he joined us on an hike with our lively dog snapping pictures of us and our pup. Leading up to our wedding, Peter sent us detailed maps of where the lighting would be in certain areas of our venue so he could capture the best pictures for us on our special day. Peter truly outdid himself as he joined us for our first look and ran with us from place to place to ensure that we captured all of our favorite Mohonk views before the ceremony. We cannot stop looking through our amazing pictures from that day and are so glad that we had Peter there with us to capture it all! -

Mary Sent on 04/05/2018Peter and his wife Peg were an amazing team. Peter was incredibly easy to communicate with, and he really understood what we wanted in our wedding photos. He even visited our venue (The Kaaterskill Inn) ahead of time to check out the setting which not all photographers offered. Not only that, he got as an online album to view within a two weeks of our wedding! He was easy going, and flowed with us. We asked for a photo by the creek knowing there's not really a great path there, and he set up the perfect scene. We said we were adventurous and not afraid of walking into the forest and he made this happen! His cost was very fair, with quality images. We felt his prices were better and his photography just as good as higher priced photographers. We also ordered a few large prints from him which were beautiful in quality. It was absolutely a delight to work with Peter and Peg, Thank you!!!

Brittany Sent on 11/05/2016We absolutely loved having Peter and Peg photograph our wedding. Peter is incredibly talented and captured our day and our venue exactly as we remember it. It was important to us to have photos that captured unscripted people and venue both indoors and outdoors. Every photo does that with perfect colour, lighting, and harmony. We are blown away by the detail and care that went into each shot. Having Peter and Peg at our wedding was like having friends there. They are friendly, professional, and simultaneously everywhere and nowhere. The personalised photo website makes it easy for us, our friends, and our family to view and order the photos they’d like and Peter’s prints are both beautiful and reasonably priced. It was also wonderful to be able to do an engagement session with Peter and Peg. This allowed us to get to know them better and feel more at ease and less on display on our wedding day. -

Wedding Photographer Summer 2018
Peter was the photographer for our July wedding at Full Moon Resort in the Catskills. We chose Peter because we knew we wanted a photographer who specialized in outdoor shots, and who could capture our candid moments. We were fortunate enough in that Peter himself had been married at Full Moon Resort, having a photographer that knew the space well gave us piece of mind.
Day of the wedding, Peter arrived early to make sure there was enough time to get all of our photos. He was very professional all day. His wife Pam was also very helpful. We felt that Peter was patient and we appreciated the way he took shots in many different locations on the venue's campus.
The end result (after only 10 days!) was a collection of photos that captured the beauty of our outdoor location, including the many shades of green from the wooded areas. Additionally, Peter was able to capture some sweet moments between us and we have many candid shots with a mix of traditional photos with family and friends. We will cherish our photos for a lifetime, and that was what was most important to us. We're grateful Peter was able to provide us with these photo memories. One word of advice, we found it helpful to make a list of photo poses ahead of time, this allowed Peter and Pam to anticipate the types of photos we desired.
Overall, we love our pictures and everyone who sees them comments on just how beautiful they are.
