They were phenomenal!!

Jared did and amazing job! I asked for a lot and he was on top of everything! They did a great job helping things run smoothly! They also kept us on the timeline which was really nice!

Excellent Vendor!

We loved working with Darlene and Ed! They were super nice and easy to get in touch with throughout the whole process. Darlene gave me so many options for our ceremony that I was able to pick the perfect one for us as a couple. People thought Darlene knew us personally she did such a nice job. Ed also did a great job capturing our vision for the music for the night -- we kept getting so many complements from our guests about the soundtrack. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a DJ or officiant/or both!!!

A magical summer evening wedding!

My husband was being deployed and we decided to get married last minute before he left. Darlene at Personal Touch came through for us and gave us the most perfect, beautiful wedding in a week's time! She came up with the wedding location near her business, a charming park in Hope, RI where we were married in a lovely gazebo on an amazing summer evening. There were so many wonderful places there for pictures and the ceremony that Darlene customized for us brought me to tears. It was beyond anything I imagined. The perfect, perfect, perfect wedding and all done in a week! Darlene is hands-down the best professional in the business and anyone who wants to ensure that they have one less thing to worry about on the most important day of their lives should absolutely hire Personal Touch for their wedding ceremony.

Excellent Officiant!

We booked Darlene Schlesinger @ Personal Touch Ceremonies for our wedding. Prior to our wedding, we had an initial phone consultation with her to book, and then communicated via email until our rehearsal, which is where we met in person. While initially I was hesitant about not meeting our officiant until the day prior to our wedding, Darlene was very available to us by phone/email which eased my anxiety. She allowed us the flexibility to write our own ceremony completely, and provided us with feedback along the way. She was absolutely wonderful at our rehearsal, and is overall just a fun friendly person to be around. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, she ended up being unable to be the officiant on our actual wedding day, however kept us well informed and lined up a replacement officiant for us, Stephanie, who was able to perform the ceremony without issue!

We can’t even begin to express how amazing our wedding day was and Darlene was a huge part of that! We wanted a fun and personal ceremony and we could not be more elated with the outcome. It was absolutely beautiful and surpassed all of our expectations! Darlene had us and our guest laughing while never taking away from the true purpose or importance of the ceremony. We have received countless compliments as to how absolutely beautiful and touching the ceremony was, a few people asked us if Darlene was a personal friend of ours, and two of our vendors even told us that it was one of the best ceremonies they have ever seen! Thank you Darlene from the bottom of our hearts for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect!!!

On July 16, 2017 Darlene made our wedding such a beautiful day.
Throughout our entire process from talking to her and answering questions we had before we even made a deposit. Even after making deposit, she always communicated with us and keeping us calm. The price was very reasonable, and she was very accommodating.
My mother passed away before our wedding and she had no problem making adjustments into our memorial for our ceremony.
She was very friendly, and very funny!
We definitely had few laughs during ceremony.
All the nerves we had went away quickly because she made us feel at ease. Before ceremony she came into bridal room to see how I was doing and as nervous as I was. She kept me calm.
So for all you brides out there looking for that perfect ceremony. Darlene is who you want to perform your beautiful day.

Darlene did such a fantastic job on my ceremony! I was so nervous, but Darlene made it easy for us... she made us laugh and took the pressure off! Darlene was amazing! She made our August 2017 ceremony exactly what we were looking for. Personal Touch provided dozens of examples of vows and "flow" of the ceremony for us to choose from, and in the end, we pulled together the perfect combination of elegance, family, heritage, and even humor! Darlene was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and helpful through the entire process. Darlene and Ed are THE BEST! My poor hubby was so nervous he kept botching up his lines. Darlene was really cool about it and helped us both to relax and enjoy our ceremony. Ed was an awesome D.J. He played a variety of music, as we requested. There was something for everyone from the young kids to the hip-hop crew to the metal heads! Everyone enjoyed and completed our ceremony and reception.

We found Darlene on the Block Island Chamber of Commerce website. She was the only one who had a website so I chose to reach out to her first. But once I had a chat with her I knew she was the one I wanted to marry, Greg and I. I was a little stressed because I didn’t know what to expect. I thought I was supposed to know everything about wedding vows and how the whole process worked. Darlene did not leave us hanging. She totally simplified everything and made it super easy! She’s a lot of fun to work with and is very relatable. We loved having her perform our service and we would highly recommend her to other couples. Thank you so much Darlene! Personal Touch is just that! Darlene, was fantastic in helping us create the perfect ceremony. This was our second marriage for both of us and together we have six teenage and older children whom all were part of our ceremony. Darlene suggested a sand ceremony to make the day as special for the kids as it was for us. The sand ceremony is designed to create a unity between the whole family. It was truly amazing how much the kids loved it. Our guest all commented on how absolutely beautiful our ceremony was and how much they enjoyed it.
My wife and I were so happy that we choose Personal Touch Ceremonies for our special day!

Rev Ed performed our ceremony on Block Island in June and did an amazing job. We were a little hesitant since we were not able to meet beforehand but Darlene and Rev Ed made all the logistics from a far as seamless as possible. Rev Ed arrived on time, met with us before the rehearsal and everything went extremely smooth the day of and his delivery was great. We highly recommend!

Darlene was a perfect wedding officiant. She worked with us diligently up until our wedding day to design the perfect service to meet our needs. She offered many suggestions and did all she could to make our vision a reality. The came early the day of to make sure that everything was in order. She was incredibly professional but still warm and welcoming. Her demeanor at the alter was every brides dreams. Darlene is a wonderful woman to work with. Not only do my husband and I have wonderful things to say about her, but our guests did as well. She is the easiest person to work with from the initial email/meeting up until you walk down the alter. My husband and I did not want a traditional wedding ceremony and she gladly accommodated all of our requests and added in special touches we asked for. She brings a sense of humor to ease the nerves, but takes her job very seriously and delivers a ceremony no one will forget! She takes care of absolutely everything and we could not have asked for a better experience or person standing with us up on the alter! Thank you, Darlene!

Ed and Darlene were absolutely wonderful for our wedding. Darlene officiated it and Ed was our DJ. They made our wedding so perfect, they are the sweetest people and Darlene added such perfect personality to our ceremony. They were so down to earth it helped me so much to relax for such a big part of our wedding. I can not thank them enough for everything they did for us and would recommend them to anybody. Such wonderful people to have included in our wedding, i wouldn't go to anybody else.

Darlene was recommended to me by a friend, they had her officiate their wedding a few years ago. I contacted her about 4 or 5 weeks prior to our wedding and from that moment I knew it was a perfect fit. Her and her husband were so sweet and fun. They truley helped me be less anxious with the laughs we had during our meeting. Darlene worked with me through everything and helped make our ceremony ours.

Darlene officiated our wedding, which was at our house, and she was awesome! Had us laughing through the whole ceremony and I loved it!

Rev Darlene was the perfect touch to our wedding ceremony. We asked that the ceremony be funny yet sweet and touching. She did just that. We both got great vibes from the first phone call with Darlene. She was easy to work with and even though we did stuff last minute she was able to put stuff together and make our ceremony fun n solid. I had forgotten to ask to use both my English and Korean name prior to the ceremony, but after a quick whisper during a brief instrumental, she smoothly transitioned from using one, to both, to the other throughout the ceremony. We definitely had fun and multiple people asked how we had found her because they enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Thank you Darlene! You rock!!

We had a surprise party for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and had them renew their wedding vows. My parents are Catholic but we were unable to get a priest to come out to do the vows. Reverend Edward gave us many ceremonies with different vows to choose from. My parents were so surprised and thought the Reverend was fantastic! Thanks for everything!

I would highly recommend Darlene to anyone looking to get married. She has a wonderful personality and very easy to work with. Rev. Darlene Shlesinger is our type of person, relax, laid back, not too serious but serious enough, great personality. She was everything we were hoping for in an officiant and more. Her delivery of the ceremony was spotless, and she knew where and how to insert comedy and laughter to our ceremony. Even though we talked to her only once in person, she immediately understood my personality and my husbands and helped us tailor the ceremony to match us. Darlene was great to work with and easy to talk to. She had a good variety of ceremonies to choose from and was encouraging to cut and paste and create a ceremony that was unique for us as a couple. Darlene was very professional and found appropriate times to crack a joke to lighten up the ceremony. My husband and I would definitely recommend Rev. Darlene to friends and family.

Darlene was a great officiant! We had a small civil ceremony type wedding initially and then a bigger 'formal' wedding 8 months later - Darlene officiated both, and was perfect. She was very laid back and happy do do the ceremony exactly as we wanted. She added her own little bit of humor to the formal ceremony which was great.

Reverends Edward & Darlene Shlesinger were exactly what my husband and I were looking for in officiants. They were kind, professional and very down-to-earth, which made us feel comfortable right away. They were also very flexible and laid back, which fit the feel of our ceremony. They immediately appreciated and recognized the playful nature of our ceremony (we had the wedding party sing along to a tune they performed themselves walking down the aisle) and this was apparent to all those in attendance. Many of our guests assumed that Rev. Darlene was a family friend and that we had known her prior to our wedding adventure. We both appreciated the personalized touch and all of the attention to detail that the Shlesingers gave to our special day.

Ed and Darlene were the first officiants we sat down with when we were planning our wedding, and they were also the last! They are a great, fun, funny and loving couple and as soon as we started talking to them, we knew they were a perfect fit for us. Ed performed our ceremony, and he did a great job. He showed up on time, was professional, his appearance was neat, and he performed our ceremony beautifully and exactly how we had asked. He also has a sense of humor and infused that into things a little to put everyone at ease. Darlene was also great to work with. She was always very prompt when it came to answering emails, helpful in answering all of our questions, and provided us with plenty of help and ideas when it came to putting together our vows. Overall it was a fantastic experience working with these two, and they were such an important part of our day. We couldn't have made a better choice, and I would (and will) recommend them to anyone looking for an officiant!

Darlene Shlesinger was very delightful and personal. My husband Daniel kind of made many changes in the destination but Darlene was very cool and calm about the changes that were made. During the ceremony she was funny, kind, and very sweet. She made this day even more special.

My husband and I live in Philadelphia but were getting married in Newport, RI. This made planning the wedding a little difficult. Darlene was extremely flexible and found time to Skype with us and email me back and forth as we figured out how we wanted to do the ceremony. The ceremony Darlene put together made us laugh and helped calm our nerves, which was much appreciated. I am so glad I found Darlene and wish I had another reason to work with her. When we first met Darlene we knew right away we wanted her! She was laid back and always smiling during the consultation. She immediately made us feel at ease. Although we had been together for 29 yrs we were still stressed about marriage. Darlene basically said we could do and say whatever, that there wasn't a strict way to follow. To have that leeway relieved alot. Then the actual day of the wedding one of us was so nervous and once she detected that she did everything she could to relieve the anxiety even cracking jokes during the ceremony which was great because it lightened the moment! We will highly recommend her to everyone we know!! Once again she's great!!!! She really does relieve the stress as her sight proclaims!!!! She made our day very special!!!!

Darlene Shlesinger was wonderful! She created the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding day, lighthearted and relaxed. I was a ball of nerves the day of the wedding, and Darlene was able to make me relax and laugh during our ceremony - which added to some great candid photos!

With the aid of Darlene's sample ceremonies, we were able to choose and edit the ceremony wording to reflect both my vision and my fiance's vision for our interfaith ceremony.

Darlene was also incredibly flexible! She was able to squeeze us in for a last minute decision to have a rehearsal ceremony they day before our wedding!

Rev. Darlene was such a big help and easy to work with. We planned our wedding in pretty much a month and seeing that it was for Memorial Day weekend, concerns with availability were an issue. She met with us the very next day after we called her and went over everything in great detail. It was a pretty easy decision once we spoke with her and got to know her. She added a little humor into our ceremony which was great for us and customized the ceremony to include a couple new traditions that she hadn't done before and it all went really well. My Husband and I were engaged for 6 years and decided to have an Impromptu wedding. It was on Christmas Eve.( the day we got engaged), 2012 and Rev. Shlesinger had no problem with coming over for a few hours to Marry Ted and I. I had asked her only 2 months in advance and she was Happy to come by and make our Ceremony Very Special!

Today was absolutely the most amazing day!! And the days leading up to it Rev. Darlene made completely stress free :) She handled our last minute arrangements professionally and compassionately. I will absolutely recommend her to any couple I hear is engaged!!
