Susan was truly the only reason we made our multi-generational trip to Italy happen this Fall. She was incredibly patient and responsive with the multitude of questions we had spanning the 10 months prior to actually booking the trip. Her communication was almost instantaneous and she always hoped on the phone when it was an easier way to discuss certain questions. There was also a sense during the entire process that Susan genuinely cared about our family and the experience we had, which speaks to her as a person and how she runs her business.
As a result, we felt the overall customer service went above and beyond what we could have hoped for and this was all BEFORE we even booked a single component of the trip.
Once we had the framework built out Susan provided incredible recommendations for hotels and excursions, all of which we were thrilled with, and which was no small feat considering we had an age range from 2 to 75 years old. She also has such a depth of knowledge that she was able to tweak and guide certain parts of our trip based on what she knows is happening in the country or region during the time you're going. Some of those recommendations ended up being sanity saving for our family when we saw so many other travelers in more chaotic situations.
It's worth noting that we also had two different groups of family that had trips to Italy at the same time and for a variety of reasons they didn't really enjoy their trip, which was of course disheartening to hear. However, my husband and I fully credit Susan with how overjoyed our entire group was with the trip when we returned home. They couldn't stop raving about the excursions, the expertise of the guides, the solid recommendations about hotels and food.
I truly could go on.
My husband and I are now lifetime customers of Sue and can't wait for our next trip! -

Susan is organized and her recommendations have never let us down. The hotels are always beautiful and her recommendations on side trips are excellent. I even ask her for restaurant advice - she is the absolute best. After she planned our honeymoon (many years and kids ago) I have continued to use her for ALL our family trips. I would not plan a vacation without consulting her first. -

The best trip!
Sue helped me plan an unforgettable trip to Paris. When I wasn’t sure on day trips or activities to do she sent me a bunch to look through. We decided on a trip to Versailles and a dinner cruise on the seine and both were amazing! Booking with Personal Escape Travel always makes the trips stress free. Because of Sue the hotel made our stay extra special with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Personal Escape Travel!

Disney Parks and Cruise!
Another amazing trip planned by Sue! We started with a fabulous time in Walt Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge with a centrally located room poolside. After completing all 4 parks we headed on a 7night Disney cruise. Food and service were top notch! Can’t wait to go again. -

Susan was great to work with!
We had previously engaged (and paid a deposit) with a luxury travel agent but didn't feel like we were vibing. I read reviews online about Susan and decided to eat our deposit and work with her instead. Best decision ever. She helped us narrow down our wishlist and come up with a trip to Mallorca and the South of France (France wasn't even on our radar before). She was imaginative, easy to communicate with, and always responsive. Our return flight ended up getting cancelled and Susan jumped right in to help us troubleshoot. Thank you Susan for helping us plan the honeymoon of our dreams! Can't wait to book our next trip with you. -

Just perfect!
I booked my honeymoon through Personal Escape Travel last year and when my husband and I wanted to vacation this year we immediately knew we wanted to book with them again. Sue helped us plan a trip to Antigua and it was perfect! We had such a wonderful relaxing time. The resort was stunning and the food was excellent. When we checked in they upgraded our room to a pool room which made the trip even better. The Antigua historical tour that Sue also booked for us was great and the guide really went out of his way to show us every part of the island. We can’t thank Sue enough for putting together such a memorable vacation! -

Great experience using Personal Escape for Honeymoon
We worked with Sue for planning and booking our honeymoon to Hawaii and are so happy that we did! She was so helpful and a pleasure to work with. Sue was always available and quick to respond to questions during the planning process and was flexible when we changed our minds about our destination due to the unknowns with the pandemic. The hotel recommendations and locations were spot on and Sue was very knowledgeable and helpful with the all of the travel and transportation as well as selecting excursions. Personal Escape Travel helped us celebrate or 25th anniversary and made it a memorable one. We booked an Alaskan cruise we had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries when we arrived in room complements from the cruise line. Personal escape travel kept us up today with flights times cruise times boarding and all the necessary info. Made everything easy for us. Will never forget our experience. -

Look no further than Personal Escape Travel...
Personal Escape Travel has been our travel agent for 30+ years (and growing!) They've confidently piloted our family through trips to Switzerland, Sweden, Bahamas, Italy, India, Hawaii, England, Mexico, even the Amazon Rain Forests.
We all know what happened in 2020. Fortunately for us, Susan was on the case from the jump with updates, emails, phone calls & text messages. Not a day went by when she did not at least send a comforting message about what to expect and how it would happen. We count on her for the right travel details every time, the right trip insurance among them. We got a full refund of our trip in 2020 within 30 days, just as Susan promised, amidst frightening stories in the news daily about thousands of travelers who would likely never see a return of their money from online travel sites who relied on small print legalese to allow them to wiggle out of refunds.
So..... Personal Escape Travel was with us through all the good times and, thankfully, helped steer us through the uncertain waters that came upon us all in early 2020. We re-scheduled our 2020 Hawaii journey for 2021 when Susan's team told her it was ok and, of course, she and her agents took care of every. Single. Detail. Our 12 day trip to Hawaii went without a hitch in April '21 in no small part because of Personal Escape Travel. We're in the midst of planning our family trip for 2022 now, as well.

I worked very closely with Sue for my destination wedding – I cannot say enough positive things about my experience! First, I was always impressed by how quickly Sue replied to my emails/calls – I always had reliable answers immediately, sometimes we exchanged several emails in one day, which for a bride was an immense relief as I can imagine waiting around for answers could just add to the stress! She was also willing to work with me nights and weekends to fit around my schedule, and the weekend of the wedding she let me know that she was basically on call the entire time – as she saw to every detail well in advance of the wedding, I did not actually need her on the wedding weekend, but just knowing she was available provided me with peace of mind.
In addition, Sue guided us to our resort for our destination wedding, and it was perfect! The resort was beautiful like many others in the Caribbean, but their focus on weddings (only one wedding a day), attention to details, and personalization not only blew me away but my guests as well! In addition, Sue knew that this resort held a Bride’s Dress Rehearsal, an event where we could see the resort, meet the vendors, and make decisions well before the wedding – all of which Sue helped us arrange.
While working with Sue, I felt like no request was too large or small as she worked with me on every single detail – she ensured that certain guests did not have rooms next to each other (family drama is unavoidable), she switched flights when schedules changed and made sure to get the best prices, she was willing to work with our crazy budget (we helped pay a portion of the trip for all of our guests, of course it was on a guest by guest basis so the amount was always different, but she never complained about the additional burden of figuring out how much we owed and how much each guest owed), and she even talked me off a ledge and arranged travel last minute when two additional guests were invited by someone other than myself or the groom. Further, I appreciated that Sue was budget conscious for me – for example, when deciding on which location to have the wedding reception, she suggested a particular location that was free (as compared to $950 for the location I was considering), as it was not only free, but it also overlooked the dance floor which would be nice for our grandmother in a wheelchair to observe the action – we felt this was so thoughtful of Sue to consider her, and we were so grateful at the time of the reception to have our grandmother so close to us! And the location was just beautiful!
Finally, Sue was always available to bounce ideas off of, and she provided insightful suggestions. I sent all of the wedding design ideas to both her and my wedding coordinator so I could get her opinion, as well as other items unrelated to booking travel arrangements. Overall, working with Sue was such a pleasure, and I know that she is responsible for making the wedding process as smooth and as stress free as it was. I would recommend Sue to anyone, for any kind of travel, and definitely for destination weddings! -

My family’s favorite vacation to date!
The trip I booked through Susan Blume with Personal Escape Travel was for a graduation gift for my son. We toured Munich and the surrounding area with a large group of friends and family. The excursions we decided on based on Sue’s suggestions were beyond our expectations - we went on an unforgettable food tasting tour through the Marienplatz, road on the romantic road to Rothenburg and spent the day at King Ludwig’s castle. Our accommodations were comfortable and a convenient walking distance to the Marienplatz where we dined, shopped and drank often (not always in that order)! I would not hesitate to reach out to Sue for all of my travel needs going forward. Sue is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. No task is to great or small for her when she plans your long awaited adventure. -

Sue is amazing at what she does! I had no idea where to start when it came to planning for our honeymoon. With us getting married during “hurricane season” I felt we would be limited in choices of destinations and activities. Sue took the time to listen to my questions and concerns and put together a number of recommendations for us to look into. She was very responsive via both email and phone calls, answering the hundreds of questions I must have thrown at her. Our experience was GREAT!
We stayed at the Sonesta Ocean point resort in Saint Martin 9/20/19-9/24/19 and had a wonderful time! The resort was beautiful, and we had a great room overlooking the ocean.
The workers at St Martin were very accommodating to all our needs. From the pool to room service they were always around to get us what we wanted. We enjoyed all the restaurants as well. Food was great at each one. We especially loved the Azul restaurant, beautiful views, delicious food and great ambiance! Thank you Susan Blume from Personal escape Travel for recommending this resort to us, you did a great job at organizing our stay from start to finish!

I found Susan on the knot when I was searching for travel agents to help us plan our honeymoon. My husband and I wanted to go somewhere that was a place we wouldn't go again. Sue took what we both enjoyed and found us the perfect honeymoon. She helped us plan a trip to Australia then ending in Fiji.
