Incredible Wedding Band

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to book The Cooper River Band for our wedding at The Parsonage. David was fantastic to work with—communicative, flexible, and always responsive.

CRB offers a wide variety of music and tailored their setlist perfectly to match our vision. So many of our guests raved about the music, and we couldn’t agree more.

They did a phenomenal job and were clearly committed to making our night special. We wholeheartedly recommend The Cooper River Band to anyone looking for an unforgettable live music experience!

Wedding Band

CRB is awesome and did a great job playing at our Wedding! High energy and played a variety of songs that kept the crowd dancing all night. 10/10 would recommend!!!

The best!!

Music is so essential to an event's atmosphere, and we truly couldn't have had a more wonderful experience with Cooper River Band at our wedding reception. They were one of the most helpful and kind of our vendors from the beginning, reaching out to our reception coordinator for stage dimensions to provide a custom ensemble to fit the vibe of our wedding. We received so many compliments on the music choices, and we were blown away with the talent. If you are looking for great communication, customizable set lists, and knock out musicians, Cooper River Band is the best choice in the Charleston area.

So Much Fun!

Fun and Fabulous!

The Cooper River Band played for our son’s wedding and they were absolutely AMAZING! Starting with my initial contact with David and throughout the process, he was always responsive, kind, and easy to work with. The musicians and singers are fantastic! They have an extensive play list with a broad range of songs. David even correctly pronounced every single name when he announced the bridal party!!! They made the reception a night we will never forget and guests were dancing to every single song! I would highly recommend them over and over again!!!

Best Wedding Band Ever!

Wow!!!!! There are not enough words to put into a review about this band! The Cooper River Band is professional, experienced and knows how to get a crowd dancing and singing! They performed at our wedding and we had so many compliments how great they were. David was easy to work with from the song selection to the reception setup. He is very detailed oriented and truly wants his clients to have a blast! They are versatile and can sing Bruno Mars to Garth Brooks to David Bowie. They even learned the song “Red Red Wine” and performed it in memory of my dad. It was a very sweet moment that my family and I will never forget. Thank you for the memorable moments and dancing!!!!

Everyone will be dancing

Permanent Vacation was the best reception band I could have asked for. Having never heard them before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was definitely NOT disappointed. We had so many people dancing who normally wouldn’t dance. So many compliments on the band after the fact. They remained flexible and were receptive to the last minute changes. Above all, they allowed all of the little nieces and nephews to sing and dance with them on stage.

Permanent Vacation was the perfect choice for our wedding! My husband (then fiance) and I had been to a wedding that they performed at and had such a great time. Because of this, they were the first thing I booked when we started planning our own wedding. The music was phenomenal and they learned one of our favorite songs for our first dance! Michael is extremely responsive and accommodating! All of our guests raved about the fantastic music. I highly recommend Permanent Vacation for anyone looking for a great band!

Permanent Vacation was the perfect band for our wedding! After communicating with Michael several times we booked them and never looked back! They were accommodating and learned a not so well known song for our first dance. They played it perfectly. We had so much fun dancing to all of their music. They followed my list of songs I requested and played them in the perfect order. Overall, great value, great professionalism and we'd recommend them in a heartbeat! Thanks guys!

Permanent Vacation is absolutely amazing! We hired their four piece band, Acoustic Vacation, for our wedding and I can not say enough about how great they were. Michael was so nice, flexible and responsive prior to the wedding. The variety of music they played was perfect and they were so much fun! All of our guests can't stop talking about how great they were.

As a wedding planner in Charleston, I see my fair share of wedding bands. Permanent Vacation is one of my favorite bands, hands down! These guys are extremely talented and easy to work with! They make each event unique and truly take the clients song list to heart when they play!! If you want your dance floor packed at your wedding, hire Permanent Vacation!! Highly recommended!

Permanent Vacation was incredible to work with from the moment that we booked them. They are very responsive, professional, and organized. At the wedding they had EVERYONE on the dance floor. They are by far the best wedding band I have ever heard and I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Charleston area (or beyond)! Dan and I are SO GLAD we hired Permanent Vacation to play for us! They had all our guests dancing and laughing--we couldn't have asked for a better party, and they were very affordable! My husband and I were so excited to find a band that played lots of songs each of us liked. Michael was quick to respond to every email I sent, and helped me come up with a great timeline for the evening. Everyone in the band is super nice, fun, and loves what they do, so they were great to work with, and made the reception a memorable party for us and for all of our guests!

Permanent Vacation played our wedding in October 2016 and did a fantastic job! During the booking and planning stages, PV was responsive and flexible, giving us all of the answers we needed and working with us as we figured out what we wanted for the day of. Their performance during the reception was energetic and fun, playing a wonderful variety of songs. We got compliments from guests young and old on how good the band was! These guys are very interactive with the audience and work hard to get everyone engaged. Take advantage of the song list and do not be afraid to send them songs off of their list...they played several that we sent their way.

All I can say is amazing!! Everyone at the wedding loved them! Their music is wonderful and so great for all ages! They are entertaining and professional. Michael and Permanent Vacation are perfect. Really, there is no other word to describe them! From the time we emailed and met, Michael has been professional, kind, communicative, and helpful! Going through the process of planning a big wedding in Charleston can be scary and overwhelming with all the details but, with Permanent Vacation as your band, music and entertainment will not be a cause of stress!
After carefully planning every detail of the evening, Michael and the band ROCKED! They played every requested song in a way that our guests couldn't leave the dance floor! We danced all night and every single song! Cannot say enough great things about this band- really truly the best! Highly recommend to any bride!!

Amazing. The members of this band went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best reception. They put up with every crazy request, every last minute change or addition, and even made the entire reception sing happy birthday to my MOH. People were always on the dance floor which is exactly what I wanted. Permanent vacation is the best. One friend at the wedding has already booked them for their wedding next May! The band interacted with guests, barely took any breaks, and were just an all around pleasure to do business with. Would recommend 1 million times over!!!

I can't begin to say enough about Permanent Vacation! They played at my sister's wedding 3 years ago and everyone had so much fun that we had to have them back! The energy they bring in just amazing! From the first song to the last, they had the dance floor packed. They learned 3 songs for us for our reception and they were just perfect! The way they interact with the crowd and keep the party going is unreal. I don't think they took a break for longer than a few minutes or at least it seemed that way. Everyone is still talking about the great time they had, mostly because of the band. Michael is a great talent and very easy to work with. He always responded promptly to my mom's emails and made sure our day was PERFECT! The band is VERY reasonably priced for as talented as they are. Our family LOVES Permanent Vacation! My mom is sad there are no more daughters to marry off so we can have them play for us again!! LOL One of our guests did book them for her daughter's wedding next year so we'll be able to party with them again! If you book Permanent Vacation you will not be disappointed. They are simply the BEST WEDDING BAND EVER!!!!

Permanent Vacation is one of my favorite wedding bands ever. Not only did they do an excellent job at my wedding, but I have been to several other weddings where they performed. They keep the crowd entertained and dancing. People of all ages were on the dance floor and loving the band. My now husband's grandmother said that she could have stayed a few more hours because of the band, and it was 11 pm when she left! The list of songs that they send you is unbelievable and now husband and I had to narrow down our selections because we picked over 100 songs that we would like them to play. I had several people ask me about how I found them or how they could book them after the wedding. The group is fantastic and was so easy to work with. I never had a doubt about their willingness to accommodate me or help make my day as wonderful as possible. With a million other vendors and people that I was juggling, it was nice to know that the band would take care of themselves and put on an amazing show! I highly recommend Permanent Vacation!

It was important to me to have FUN at my wedding and Permanent Vacation made that happen! All my friends and family had a blast and danced the night away just how I had always imagined! Everyone loved them! Not only were they a talented, fun, energetic, band at my reception, Michael made the planning so easy! Michael was on point with communication and answers to all my questions! Forget the food..the flowers...the venue...it's this band that made our reception so wonderful and so much fun....! We had them at my daughters wedding on Kiawah Island and they were great to work with and made every special song even more special and got everyone up and on the dance floor...
So when my son got married 4 years later at The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation...the first thing we did was call Permenent Vacation to make sure they were available..otherwise we would have changed the date to make it work...! And they once again set the tone for a fun evening of dancing and singing....

My husband and I LOVED THESE GUYS for our wedding, and so did everyone else!

I surveyed a huge network of people asking about what wedding bands they'd seen and heard of, how they were, etc. Over and over and over again I kept hearing "Permanent Vacation"...at the rate at which they were being recommended as nonstop fun, keeps everyone on their feet but classy enough for your flower girl and your grandma to jam to, I was sure they were going to be about twice the price. I was so pleased with the price that as soon as I got one of them on the phone, I booked them.

They took my exact requests, made some recommendations that totally improved the set list, and were always kind and patient through countless neurotic emails and phonecalls from me. (Oops?) The loaded a rare song recording that I wanted to dance with my dad to and arranged to play me and my husband's "first dance" live. And these guys can go for hours. They play lots of weddings but also events around town, that's when you know they're really fun. Their live recordings on their website don't do them justice. People are still commenting on how great the music was--it was the best thing about our wedding and totally set the mood for a fun and laid-back night. They also can swap from tender, more serious moments and back in a flash, to always keep the mood right. Pick these guys I swear...you won't regret it.

Well, we pretty much had the best wedding band EVER! Permanent Vacation was incredible. They are amazingly talented, highly energetic, and enabled us to have a phenomenal reception! We have received countless compliments and rave reviews... Guests of all ages had a blast! They play classics and current hits... They get the party started and keep it going! I am beyond pleased with our decision to have Permanent Vacation as part of our day! I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a memorable and amazingly fun event!!

I would highly recommend Permanent Vacation as a Wedding Band or a Band for Any Occasion! They are professional, experienced, talented, easy to work with, friendly, fun and most importantly, they have the supreme ability to keep everyone on the dance floor!

I have been seeing this band play for over 10 years and they have always entertained. They have a wide arrangement of music that was great for people of all ages.

If you want to have a memorable wedding for you and your guests, I cannot recommend a better band. It has been almost a year since our wedding and people are still talking about how much fun the Band was.

We booked Permanent Vacation for our destination wedding over a year in advance and they came highly recommended. We just had our wedding last week and they were fabulous! Their set list was great and our guests of all ages couldn't stop raving about them. They performed our father/daughter song live which was simply beautiful. They really got the crowd up and dancing and I didn't stop dancing the whole night. They were great to work with and very quick with responses. They really tailored our wedding to our personal style which was great. We cant wait to get back down to SC to see them again, they were fantastic! The best band ever! Thanks so much guys!

BEST band EVER!! Months before our wedding, the band contacted us to ensure they had a good idea of the music type(s) we wanted them to play...as well as what we would not want to have them play. They sent us a comprehensive list of the songs they play, and asked us to look it over, cross out what we did not want played and mail it back...there were about 175 songs of all genres! So there was no chance that they would not be able to accommodate our selections.

The dance floor was full for the entire reception...our guests told us all night Permanent Vacation is a great band...and how much fun they were having!

If you are planning an event, I cannot say enough about Permanent Vacation and would highly recommend them to make your event very special!

This is our second wedding using Permanent Vacation as the band and we are so happy with them! They know how to make the party and are a real treat to work with. They worked well with the bride and groom choosing songs for those special moments and when it came to dancing and having a great time they know how to work the crowd. We have been to several events where Permanent Vacation played and at every single one the music was great and the guests clearly were having a great time as there was never enough room on the dance floor! Thank you guys for being a part of our special days, you’re the best!!

I am so happy we chose Permanant Vacation for our wedding! We had our wedding in Hilton Head and they traveled all the way there for us. All of our guests kept talking about how awesome they were the next day after the wedding. They kept the crowd engaged and the dance floor was packed the whole night! The lead singer Michael was great to work with. His voice is incredible and he was a fantastic MC. I'm picky when it comes to music and if you're considering using them look no further! They did a wonderful job! Thanks so much for making my wedding rock!!

This band rocks; everyone had such a wonderful time. The dance floor was always full, and they have such a reasonable price. You had better grab these guys before they go up in price.

P Vacation was awesome! They were so easy to work with and made for the perfect reception band. They even learned a new song not on their song list for my groom and his mother. Their set list amazing and kept the party going through the night!

They deserve 50 stars!!! They got the party started and kept the dance floor packed until the very end! They learned "Sweet Child of Mine" for me for my dance with my dad and (together with my mom) kept it a surprise until the reception! They sang it like they have been performing it for years!! They are very affordable and very responsive to emails. If you book them, you will have the time of your life at your reception!!! They are OUTSTANDING!!!

The music at our reception was AWESOME! Everyone had a great time and danced the night away. Permanent Vacation has a large variety of songs they will play, which was something that was important to my husband and I. They were able to tailor their music to our interest and it was perfect. They got the crowd involved and everyone enjoyed dancing the night away!

Michael & Paul were both awesome when it came staying in contact with us prior to the wedding. It was really easy & a lot of fun to get to choose our set list of what they would play from their song selection. They had a great variety and made for a great night. We had some different requests during their performance to personalized our wedding and they were more than accommodating. Great performers and a lot of fun!
