I found Janet on weddingwire after not being able to find someone I personally knew. I was nervous because I didn't know her, and that was by biggest worry. Right from our consult over the phone Janet was lively, funny, kind, personable. I think my favorite part of the experience was the sheer amount of customization she helps create for your ceremony. A lot of married people I spoke to said they didn't even remember what was said at their ceremony, but I couldn't ever forget, because you write it with her. Her great attitude and general love for her work makes her the "perfect" officiant. No joke, when reviewing the finalized ceremony in the days leading up to the wedding, I recall (while crying like a baby it was a very emotional experience), literally saying "this is perfect..." So, from first hand experience, "Perfect Vows" are in fact, Perfect. -

Janet is GREAT!
We chose Janet from Perfect Vows for our wedding. She was very responsive and communicative. She sent over different scripts for ceremonies and highlighted our personalities so well. All of our guests loved the ceremony. -

Our day-of-coordinator was so attentive and helpful, our wedding went off without a hitch. I would be hard pressed to find any flaws with the Barn staff, they were as amazing as the venue was beautiful. Our big day was perfect thanks to everyone there. I wouldn't change a thing! -

Janet was a joy to work with throughout our wedding planning experience. After contacting Janet through Wedding Wire we spoke on the phone to talk about how we envisioned our ceremony and to see if she would be a good fit for us. Janet made us feel comfortable and provided guidance on how the ceremony could flow while also getting to know us and our relationship. Following our phone conversation we set a time to meet in-person to plan the ceremony. Prior to our meeting, she sent examples of each part of the ceremony for us to select from or rewrite as we wished. As a unity ritual we really wanted to hold a ring warming, where our rings would be passed around to each guest prior to exchanging them. Janet was up-front about the fact that she had never participated in a ring warming ceremony, but she did some research and arrived to our meeting with a plan for how to execute it. On our wedding day it took a bit longer than we expected to pass the rings to all of our 115 guests, but never fear, Janet had a plan! She continued the ceremony with an extra reading that she had us select for just this possibility, and no one was the wiser that the third reading was added for time. I cannot recommend Janet enough if you are looking for a professional, warm, and thoughtful officiant, who is always prepared! -

I got married on 12/11/21, and Janet did an amazing ceremony. She works with you to find out who you are, and what you want. She has so many examples and ideas to help you create your perfect vows. She was so helpful and just a joy to work with. There wasn't a dry eye in our venue. We feel so lucky that Janet married us. She is absolutely amazing at what she does!!! -

We spoke with a few JPs in our search, but Janet's warmth, friendliness, and laughter helped us know she was the perfect fit. She offered us easy to follow timelines to make sure the planning portion went smoothly, had a few Zoom chats with us to get to know us, and offered a beautiful assortment of sentiments for our ceremony, which we pieced together and tweaked to create something that felt completely unique and special. She has such a calm grace about her, putting everyone else at ease - her ceremony didn't leave a dry eye in the audience, including mine! I would recommend Janet to absolutely everyone :) -

Janet was wonderful. She worked with us via face time and email to get us all set up with the ceremony which was helpful because of our distance and the overall state of 2020. We did not have a good grasp on specifically what we wanted said at the ceremony, but she walked us through step by step, giving us lots of options for each section. It had a nice pacing and felt really catered to us and what we valued as a couple. On top of the ideal setup experience, Janet is a great public speaker. We gave her a tough spot to speak to 30 people outside on a cold windy day, but she didn’t miss a beat. We would definitely recommend Janet and are thankful she was part of our special day. -

Janet was an incredible addition to our wedding day "team". Dare I say the MOST impressive "vendor" we hired? I think so! We had countless guests approach us with compliments about Janet and her genuine/comfortable ceremony delivery. My husband and I really enjoyed getting to know her as we were working towards a ceremony that felt perfectly "us". She was helpful, natural, genuine, and perfectly suited for our Squam Lake wedding! We had considered many friends to perform the ceremony, but are so glad we went with a professional. It allowed our friends to relax and us to relax as well, with the comfort of having someone whose "job" it was to perform our ceremony. There is so much that goes into crafting and delivering the perfect message and Janet doesn't miss a beat! Do NOT hesitate to hire her. -

If you're looking for a wedding officiant that will make your day extra special, look no further! Janet was professional, easy to work with, and helpful. She had great ideas for the ceremony when we had no idea where to begin. She helped us piece together a perfect ceremony based on what we told her we wanted for the day, and was flexible in offering to provide as much or as little guidance as we wanted. Janet met with us in person about a month before the big day and her kind, easygoing personality put us at ease. Everything went smoothly the day of; we were impressed and happy we chose her! -

We are so happy we found Janet! We are still amazed at the time and effort she put into our wedding: from making the initial phone call to get to know us, to meeting in person to draft our ceremony, to emailing about changes we wanted to make, to attending our rehearsal, to acting as our officiant, Janet was very professional and also thoughtful, not to mention a fantastic value. Janet officiated our tiny wedding by the lake and we couldn't have been happier. We were planning on a short timeline and she was very relaxed about us not quite knowing what we wanted and making some last-minute changes. I can't say enough wonderful things about Janet and Perfect Vows! From the first moment we met her we knew that she would be the perfect person to marry us; she was organized and professional while also being friendly and fun to talk with. At our initial meeting she asked us questions and showed us examples from different ceremonies to determine the feel and vibe that we wanted our ceremony to have, then a couple of days later she sent us a draft of what she came up with based on what we discussed.
While the first draft was virtually perfect based on what we talked about, there were a few tweaks that we wanted to make, and Janet was gracious about making them so that our ceremony was everything we wanted it to be. We LOVED the finished product and even received many compliments on our ceremony from our guests- when does that ever happen!?!
I HIGHLY recommend choosing Janet and Perfect Vows if you are looking for an exceptional Wedding Officiant in the Lakes Region! We are so happy she was a part of our day and that we'll have wonderful memories of her involvement for years to come! -
