I can not recommend Perfect Honeymoons enough. My husband and I worked with Jim to plan our honeymoon to Hawaii. Planning a honeymoon while also planning your wedding is stressful enough, but the pandemic added another layer. Jim never missed a beat.
He made himself available to us completely — with constant communication, troubleshooting, and clarity. Not to mention that he was learning about the ever changing rules & guidelines himself! He was kind, patient, and supportive, answering our endless questions while also being a wonderful source of ideas and agenda items to keep us excited about our trip.
Especially now, you cannot put a value on vendors that truly care about your well-being and want what’s best for you. Jim and Perfect Honeymoons is the epitome of a vendor that has your best interest at heart, and is more of a partner in your wedding planning process than anything. I highly recommend, and am already excited to utilize this team for our next trip. -

Experiences to Treasure!
For 16+ years my husband and I have had the pleasure of planning our lifetime dream vacations with Gretchen McKnight which have included our latest to French Polynesia. We have depended on Gretchen’s knowledge, experience, dedication, efficiency, and talent to help us create unforgettable memories of incredible destinations. We hold her in such high esteem, that our adult children also seek her expertise. We worked with Gretchen for our honeymoon in 2014, then again in 2019 when we wanted to plan a trip to Europe. Now that our 10-year anniversary is approaching, we are working with her again to plan an anniversary cruise! Our honeymoon in St. Lucia was incredible - we went to Sandals and she made sure everything felt special for us while we were there! When we went to Europe, she took a lot of time to listen to our wants and needs, and blew us away by mapping out an absolutely flawless itinerary that ensured we did everything we wanted to do while we were there (not a small feat AT ALL)! We visited England, Belgium, and France, and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! We only came across one hiccup the entire time - while we were in France, the hotel had a minor mix-up with our registration. Thankfully, we were able to keep in touch with Gretchen while we were there, so when we told her about the issue, she immediately took the stress off of us by contacting the hotel and sorting things out for us (while ensuring we were out exploring/enjoying the city instead)! We recently started planning our 10-year anniversary trip, so OF COURSE we reached out to Gretchen again! As always, she helped us think about things we might not have considered otherwise, so we could make the best decision possible. After pinpointing what we were looking for, she was able to find an Alaskan cruise that we feel will be perfect for us! I have no doubt in my mind that she will help us make it incredibly special and memorable. I can't wait!! -

This is the first time I have worked with Gretchen and perfect honeymoons. Gretchen’s professionalism and knowledge exceeded my expectations. It was the first time we have traveled to Italy. For 2 1/2 weeks we were in Rome, the Amalfi coast, and Tuscany. Gretchen made sure the hotels and transportation were specific due to the fact, my husband had knee surgery two weeks before our trip. The only thing I would do different is spend more time in Florence and Rome and less time in the Amalfi coast. We stayed in Positano for six days. If I could do it over again I would stay in Sorrento ( as this was Gretchen‘s recommendation during the planning process of our trip, but I was dead set on Positano )and take the ferry to Positano for a day or two. I am so thankful Gretchen took care of all the details that never would occur to me. One example is we arrived in Rome at 8 o’clock in the morning and check in for our hotel wasn’t until four. It never occurred to me to reserve the room for the night before so I could actually get cleaned up take a nap and start my vacation. -

We have used Gretchen to plan several of our trips, most recently a 3-week trip across Greece and Europe. She seamlessly organized stays in 10 different cities/hotels, transportation, private drivers between hotels and airports, tours/tour guides, reservations, the list goes on. Every detail was planned out perfectly. She also had great recommendations of how long to stay in different places, where to stay, what to do, and hooked it up in some faaabulous hotels. We felt like she had maximized our budget and booked incredible options, stays, and experiences for the budget she worked with. We felt the same with trips she booked for us in the past, as well. We have recommended Gretchen to many friends and family and plan to continue using her in the future when we're ready to plan our next trip! -

lifelong business!!!!
My fiancé and I contacted Gretchen about a semi-last minute honeymoon to Africa. She was so quick to respond and incredibly
enthusiastic throughout our entire planning process! After postponing twice, our “last minute honeymoon” turned into a one year anniversary trip - a trip that was more incredible than we could have ever imagined. Gretchen’s genuine enthusiasm for our trip made my husband and I even more excited, and the trip exceeded our already very high expectations. She did literally everything, and took care of every last detail. Thankfully we didn’t have any huge hiccups, however Gretchen was available 24/7 throughout our trip if needed! When we got back, i felt like I was telling my best friend about our trip! It’s so obvious that she passionately loves her job, and her clients turn into lifelong friends. I have already recommended Gretchen to a few people, including my friend who is currently planning her honeymoon! We can’t wait to use Gretchen’s expertise again in the future :)

Our honeymoon was SO wonderful! Thank you soo much for your help on this!! The hotel was perfect and the whole week turned out dreamy. Daniel and I both LOVED the island and it was the perfect getaway we wanted and needed!

We worked with Gretchen for our honeymoon last year, and she was FANTASTIC. Total pro. We had the vacation of a lifetime. More importantly, Gretchen knew exactly what we were looking for and found us two amazing resorts around Cancun that were better than we could have imagined. She took care of every detail, so all we needed to do was pack and get to the airport! Despite the fact that we had to reschedule multiple times during COVID, Gretchen took it in stride and took care of everything. I had never expected to use a travel agent until last year, but I will absolutely be working with Gretchen and Perfect Honeymoons again. Their rate is affordable and I'm sure we saved far more than we paid -- they're worth every penny. -

We can't say enough how valuable Gretchen has been to our honeymoon planning. We started planning our honeymoon a year before we went, and had frequent hour long discussions with Gretchen until she helped us put together our perfect honeymoon. Unfortunately as everyone knows, covid came. Yet that didn't deter Gretchen. Her mission was to give us a PERFECT honeymoon. She helped us replan multiple scenarios, never getting weary. Despite the multiple restrictions in place, we finally found an even better honeymoon for us. What makes Gretchen even more special is that she doesn't just stop helping you once your booked. She stayed in touch with us till the flight, on the trip, through several complications that we faced, and even after our honeymoon. She's even just great to talk to on the phone -- we learned a lot! She has not only planned our perfect honeymoon, but she plans our perfect vacations too. We could not recommend Gretchen more highly and can't wait for our friendship to continue into the future. -

Professionalism and Service at its finest!
Perfect Honeymoons is phenomenal! My husband and I have worked with this company for over 10 years for our travel needs. From our honeymoon, to birthday trips to anniversary getaways, they have helped us create lasting memories with such professionalism and ease. Gretchen, in particular, has been amazing! She is very knowledgeable about just about any travel destination you can think of! She can give you personal experiences from her our travels and share experience from other clients to help you decide on the perfect getaway. Even in the times of uncertainty with Covid, Gretchen has proven to be someone we can count on for our travel needs. We had originally booked an anniversary trip to Hawaii through Perfect Honeymoons and had to make last minute changes due to Covid. She was able to keep us calm through the process. She reassured us that we would still have a perfect getaway and she delivered! She changed everything around without us having to lift a finger and we were able to move our trip to St Lucia which was everything we wanted and more! The amazing Gretchen helped us put our honeymoon together and we couldn't be happier about it! My husband and I got married in May but we couldn't go on our honeymoon until late October. Due to work, we a had relatively short time to put together our honeymoon. We contacted Gretchen in early September and our honeymoon was in late October and early November, so we were very impressed how she was able to put such an amazing honeymoon so quickly. From the very first conversation we had with Gretchen, we realized right off the bat how good of a listener, responsive, kind and attentive she was. She hired her on the spot. We wanted to go to the French Riviera, Monaco and Portugal. The very next day, Gretchen came to us with a preliminary plan and the next days we were in constant (but efficient) communication about what we wanted/didn't want/enjoyed/places we wanted to visit/restaurants/tours, etc. Despite the fact that she is in the West Coast and we are in the East Coast, communication was incredibly easy and fluid. We finalized all preparations in about a week and a half! When we arrived, all hotels were absolutely fantastic, and the restaurants and tours exceeded our expectations. The logistics were seamless, well organized and without any eventualities. We got several upgrades in the hotels and we received extra special treatment! We even got a very sweet gift from Gretchen in one of our hotels (champagne and sweets). As someone who travels a lot for work, I can tell how valuable Gretchen's skills are at organizing, putting together logistics and listening what is being requested. We had the best time of our lives, and we are incredibly grateful to Gretchen for it! -

Beautiful and Absolutely Magnificent!
I found Perfect Honeymoons on the Internet and immediately took interest due to their high recommendations. I reached out and received a quick response from Steve. He was very helpful and provided a lot of information from the get-go. Steve was very helpful and detailed throughout the booking process. Even when we were unsure where to travel to, he gave his best and honest assessment of the destinations that he had on hand and it gave us a better view of what was best for us. We ended up with Fiji and we’re definitely not disappointed. Steve does his homework because everything that he described before we went was exactly as talked about. Nanuku resort was a blast. All of the activities and people were so wonderful. We definitely recommend Perfect Honeymoons for destination vacations. We’ll do it again once we’re ready! -

Fijian Paradise
My wife and I were beyond pleased with our honeymoon. Steve was professional and worked with us to find the best honeymoon package. This was the first time either of us had worked with a travel agent before and I doubt we will ever plan a vacation again without Steve’s help. Considering all the work that goes into getting the wedding prepared, the last thing we wanted to do was plan a honeymoon on top of it.
One of the best parts of the trip was our upgrade to the honeymoon suite at Qamea in Fiji. Steve has personal relationships with all of the hotel managers that he recommends, so he reached out on our behalf and was able to leverage an upgrade. Another couple had purchased the same package as us from Costco, and not surprisingly Costco didn’t call on there behalf to see about an upgrade!
Thanks for everything! You won’t go wrong with Perfect Honeymoons. -

As a D.C. consultant, my husband knows a "high-touch" client when he sees one.
Well, he was the worst of the worst when it came to our honeymoon: flip-floppy, demanding, hyper-communicative -- you name it!
(It didn't help that he was trying -- successfully! -- to keep it a surprise until the moment he handed me my ticket at the airport.)
Through all my ups and downs and questions and worries and emails and emails and emails... Gretchen was never phased, always responsive, and gave excellent advice.
Even when he got cold feet after lots of second thoughts about our initial resort just weeks before the big day, she had the perfect alternate solution ready to go and handled the transition seamlessly.
It says it right there in their name -- Perfect Honeymoons. Ours was just that, because we had Gretchen in our corner.
Now, we wouldn't trust anyone else for once-in-a-lifetime trips like ours. Book these folks the next time you plan yours! -

We owe the trip of a lifetime to Jim at Perfect Honeymoons! We planned our whole wedding ourselves so when it came to planning our honeymoon we really needed help. We wanted it to be a relaxing adventure to kick off our married life together rather than be a stress or burden for one of us to plan. Jim did not disappoint us! Everything was wonderful. From the very first planning meeting, to the coordinating closer to the trip, to communication during the trip was executed to perfection. It was my husband's first time traveling so far out of the country and I think he finally will be willing to travel more with me because of the wonderful time we had on our honeymoon. Jim planned multiple destinations with all of our favorite things. We went to Sydney, Port Douglas, Melbourne, and Queenstown. We loved every minute of our two week trip! Please, please put your trust in Jim. Our honeymoon was indeed perfect. -

I usually love planning trips as my husband and I travel a ton! But when I started looking into Bora Bora I was quickly overwhelmed and discouraged. In fear of ruining my own honeymoon I looked into several travel agents and loved Steve at Perfect Honeymoons the most! He definitely took the stress away. In the midst of planning a wedding, planning a honeymoon would have been put on the back burner.
Steve was great at helping us figure out where exactly to go in Tahiti. We originally wanted to spend all 10 days in Bora Bora but he advised that we split the trip in MO’OREA and Bora Bora which ended up being incredible and we wouldn’t have done it any other way!
We planned our honeymoon about 6 months prior to our wedding (we went right after the wedding!) During this planning process Steve was great at taking our budget and preparing the “perfect honeymoon” for us. He asked what was important to us, things we liked to do while vacationing and overall just got to know us. He was very prompt when putting together a package, which we loved and booked soon after!
As the honeymoon approached Steve worked closely with us on activities we wanted to do. He knew all the right people to go to and had great recommendations for both activities and food! We did Skydiving, deep sea fishing and took an ATV tour of the island (per his recommendation!) all were incredible with breathtaking views of Mo’orea. We had the time of our lives!
In terms of travel it was all effortless with the app that we downloaded. Steve had inputted everything that we needed so no papers were needed the whole time! This was a nice way to travel!
We were also treated so well throughout the honeymoon due to Steve’s great connections.
Steve cares about his couples, their happiness and making sure the honeymoon is within their budget.
You are in great hands with Steve and I would highly recommend him if you’re thinking of planning your honeymoon (or vacation) to Bora Bora (and other destinations!)

Finding Perfect Honeymoons was a lifesaver! We spent all of our time and efforts on our big day and let Jim figure out our honeymoon. He walked us through every single detail and made sure that our honeymoon was the trip of a lifetime. As a couple that travels often, we didn't know how he would be able to blow our mind, but he did it!

Our first time, we used them for our honeymoon and had such a great experience and we used them for our 3rd anniversary. Steve helped us plan an amazing trip to Thailand. We were there 2 weeks. We first stayed in Bangkok at the Como Metropolitan, which was right downtown and next door to Banyan Tree roof top bar that overlooks the whole city. It was the perfect location for everything in Bangkok. We then went to Chiang Mai and stayed 5 days at the Ratilanna Riverside Spa Resort. It overlooks the river and close to downtown. While in Chiang Mai Perfect Honeymoons helped book us a cooking class, a day to have fun with Elephants and a day to see temples and hike. Our last part of our trip was on the islands, on Koh Lanta, we stayed at Pimalai Resort and Spa, this was out of this world amazing. Steve recommended it and we are beyond happy. It couldn't have been more perfect end to an amazing trip. We will most definitely be using perfect Honeymoons for trips going forward. Thank you!

Our ten-day trip was packed with both relaxing and fun-filled adventures to help us see the best of each Hawaiian island we stopped at. The process was easy and removed all worry of our trip - including last minute changes. Jim is top-notch and planned the best itinerary for a newlywed couple just two days post-wedding. After talking with Steve and Gretchen we immediately decided to go with them and Perfect Honeymoons. This was one of the best decisions we made. Steve was amazingly patient in helping us choose a destination, and he was externally knowledgeable on all the locations we were interested in traveling to for our honeymoon. My wife and I will absolutely be using Perfect Honeymoons to plan our next vacation, and highly recommend them to anyone who wants there honeymoon to be completely stress feee!

Myca Sent on 10/11/2017We decided to save up for a year after the wedding before taking a honeymoon and used Perfect Honeymoons as they were recommended by a co-worker. Steve and Gretchen were so wonderful to work with. I'd never used a travel agency before and found the whole process to be of ease, which speaks volumes to Perfect Honeymoons, their staff, and knowledge of tourism. My husband and I had several locations in mind and Steve graciously looked up and provided details on each location. He was incredibly patient with us as we switched destinations due to the Zika virus and once we selected our final destination Steve was able to make some wonderful recommendations. He also put us in touch with Gretchen, who'd recently returned from visiting Greece. Both Steve and Gretchen were available to us before and during our honeymoon which was a huge plus. Knowing we had communication with our travel agents made the trip even more enjoyable as we could ask questions, voice concerns, ask for recommendations and more.
I can say we will absolutely be using Perfect Honeymoons again and again! -

He was easy to talk to, understood with first meeting what kind of trip we were looking for and had great advice as he has been pretty much everywhere, at least it seems. He gave us options to choose from to meet our price range and let us know in detail what would be included in our reservation. He also booked not only our hotels and some excursions but our airfare too which was a huge help as he made sure to give us enough time in between flights. We really lucked out by finding Steve. Since returning from our honeymoon in Moorea and Bora Bora, I have recommended Steve and the company to two different couples I know of that will be getting married next year. With everything that goes into planning a wedding, we made the decision to let someone else work out the details when it came to planning our honeymoon, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. He was wonderful at helping us figure out what type of honeymoon we wanted. We recently returned from our trip to Belize and every moment was wonderful! We spent 3 nights at a Jungle lodge and 4 nights at the Beach.
