I can not recommend Perfect Honeymoons enough. My husband and I worked with Jim to plan our honeymoon to Hawaii. Planning a honeymoon while also planning your wedding is stressful enough, but the pandemic added another layer. Jim never missed a beat.

He made himself available to us completely — with constant communication, troubleshooting, and clarity. Not to mention that he was learning about the ever changing rules & guidelines himself! He was kind, patient, and supportive, answering our endless questions while also being a wonderful source of ideas and agenda items to keep us excited about our trip.

Especially now, you cannot put a value on vendors that truly care about your well-being and want what’s best for you. Jim and Perfect Honeymoons is the epitome of a vendor that has your best interest at heart, and is more of a partner in your wedding planning process than anything. I highly recommend, and am already excited to utilize this team for our next trip.

We have used Gretchen to plan several of our trips, most recently a 3-week trip across Greece and Europe. She seamlessly organized stays in 10 different cities/hotels, transportation, private drivers between hotels and airports, tours/tour guides, reservations, the list goes on. Every detail was planned out perfectly. She also had great recommendations of how long to stay in different places, where to stay, what to do, and hooked it up in some faaabulous hotels. We felt like she had maximized our budget and booked incredible options, stays, and experiences for the budget she worked with. We felt the same with trips she booked for us in the past, as well. We have recommended Gretchen to many friends and family and plan to continue using her in the future when we're ready to plan our next trip!

My wife and I recently returned from the most wonderful, unforgettable, and moving trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe, and none of it would have been possible if it wasn’t for Perfect Honeymoons, Gretchen and a whole lotta of her patience.

When we got married in 2019, I convinced my then-fiancée, now-wife that waiting a year to do the honeymoon was obviously the most logical thing to do. In hindsight, probably some of the worst decision making I have made in our marriage (so far).

After emerging from the spring of 2020 with a newfound appreciation for hand sanitizer and disdain for video conferences, we decided we now definitely needed something to look forward to. We reached out to a few different travel agents, one of which was Gretchen and right off the bat, we knew Gretchen was the perfect fit for us. She took the time to understand what we like to do, were interested in, etc. rather than telling us what she would do - something common from others

Gretchen truly made us feel safe, another thing that felt particularly unique given everything else going on. We felt safe that we could ask any questions no matter how silly, safe that she would set up a trip that was exactly what we wanted without going outside of our budget, and safe that our trip was going to be one we never forgot. In fact, I think the only time that Gretchen rocked the boat was when she talked about her prior trips to Africa which led us to abandon our plans to go to Italy and instead go there – something I am so glad we decided to do.

In the lead up to the trip, Gretchen meticulously worked through our itinerary and nit-picky feedback to develop a fine-tuned trip that allowed us to do everything we knew we wanted to do, plus many things we hadn’t yet realized we would love, but that Gretchen already knew we would. We were then briefed thoroughly on logistical expectations (i.e., what to pack, what not to pack, what forms would be needed, etc.) but also on little snippets that she had picked up from all of her trips previously that we remembered when we were there – her recommendation to try biltong has now led to a full on addiction on my end.

When we finally headed out on the trip, some two years after we had originally contacted Gretchen, we were able to be free from any questions related to planning, and instead able to focus purely on being present in the moment and taking in all that Africa had to offer us. We had a handy little booklet that Gretchen had put together that told us exactly where we needed to be and at what time, but still had so much flexibility built in so that we could still feel freedom to do whatever we wanted.

To be clear, the fact that it took two years was not down to Gretchen, but down to us. We waited to ensure the timing was right on our end, and Gretchen never was upset or pushy about that. In fact, while we weren’t ready for that trip just yet, she actually planned a trip for us to go to Mexico for a week; a very different trip, but also very enjoyable.

When it came to our honeymoon, we felt pressure to ensure that we were going to have this once in a lifetime experience, and that no matter how much online research we did, we were going to fall short. By reaching out to Perfect Honeymoons and Gretchen, the only reason we didn’t get a once in a lifetime experience is because the trip was so perfect that we know we will have to go and do it all again.
