Emily went above and beyond for my wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough. My makeup (and all of my bridesmaid's makeup) looked absolutely stunning. She was so responsive to my vision and I felt beautiful all day. The makeup also lasted like no other. We got married in July in NC, outside. The makeup outlasted heat, humidity, and even rain. She is incredibly talented and easy to work with. She was even flexible enough to stick around for touch ups (which honestly we barely needed because the first application was flawless), provided wonderful hairstylists, and set up right at our hotel AND wedding venue. Seriously I can't thank Emily enough and would recommend her to everyone. I'd give her 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Plus she's affordable. Perfection all around. -

Emily did such a wonderful job for my wedding day! When I did my trial my face was in a major rosacea and dermatitis flare and she was still able to make me look and feel beautiful! She was incredible to work with! -

Emily was the perfect makeup artist. She was so kind and communicative. She placed focused on skin prep which I think made us look so much better. She connected us with Angel for our hair who was also great. They did H&M for me, my mom, bridesmaids, and my husband's mom. Everyone looked amazing and our looks lasted the entire night. I couldn't recommend them enough. -

Emily is simply amazing!
Emily is hands down the best!! She was punctual for my trial and my wedding day. Emily made me feel so at ease and provided great feedback when we were discussing my wedding day makeup vision. Emily even did my makeup for my engagement shoot! Both days I felt absolutely stunning. She gave me a natural look that made me feel like I was barely wearing any makeup! Emily is an absolute dream, and she brought my bridal look from Pinterest pins to reality! From booking to the day-of, Emily provided speedy, detailed communication, easy of scheduling, and flexibility beyond words. Emily provided make-up for myself, the mother of the bride, the mother in law, and 3 of my 4 bridesmaids without even breaking a sweat!
In particular, Emily excelled at listening to each of us and delivering flawless looks that matched exactly what we each had imagined--even across diverse clientele in terms of skin color, types, and age. Emily ensured my bridal look was exactly what I wanted: a wintry, magical goddess. Emily made sure we got to exactly the right final look by offering a make-up trial as well as bridal portraits ahead of the big day to get everything *just* right!
Emily also kept her cool when the second artist scheduled for the wedding day backed out in less than 24 hours notice. Emily communicated promptly to develop a back-up plan, to accommodate everyone ahead of the wedding, and to still deliver flawless make-up. Finally, Emily made a custom lip color for my ceremony that I now get to use forever!
I truly, truly cannot recommend Emily highly enough for your make-up needs! -

Love n glow is simply my favorite make up artist. When I contracted her, I wasn`t sure of what I was getting, but girrl when she was done, my face was beautifully transformed. I was glowing for 5 days because I refused to wash it off. She looked at my face and knew what combinations to use. I left it to her judgement and I was overjoyed at the result. She ended up making my adult daughters up too. Don`t look further. She is the bomb. -

Love n' Glow made me glow!
Wow, what can I say? Emily was the best! She made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I was nervous because I had never had a makeover before, so when she did the trial I was so pleased with everything! I totally recommend her as she was flexible, prepared and knowledgeable about her products and was very open to the wishes of the client. I'm so glad I found her! You'll be in excellent hands with Emily, I promise! -

I loved Emily from the moment I met her! She's such an easy going and talented person. Not only did she listen carefully to how I envisioned looking on my wedding day, she was spot on with her execution. On top of that, if I wasn't a fan of an application or color during our trial, Emily pleasantly continued to make sure I was happy with everything. She did such an amazing job on the day of my wedding! She definitely took note of what I liked and didn't and was able to give me the natural look I was going for. Emily was punctual and has reasonable pricing that fit my budget perfectly. She also has an array of quality brands, as well as a surplus of colors, that you know will last throughout your entire wedding day. I would definitely recommend her for any of your special events, and I would surely hire her for any upcoming events of my own. Thank you, Emily! -

I would recommend using Emily based on her makeup skills. I loved the way my makeup came out on my wedding day and so did all of my bridesmaids! Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience with Love n' Glow as a whole.
TRIAL: My hair & makeup trial was cancelled multiple times. The first time was completely understandable, a family emergency popped up. The second time, the date no longer worked because the hairstylist was no longer available. When we finally had a new trial on the books, just 5 weeks before my wedding, Love n' Glow cancelled less than 45 minutes before they were supposed to arrive.
Finally, trial day comes along, Emily (makeup artist and owner of Love N Glow) showed up on time and was super sweet and easy to work with.
Maria, the hairstylist, was 30 minutes late. She did not ask what I wanted to do with my hair, just started curling away. I showed her a photo and hoped to discuss, she quickly glanced at it and said no problem.
Maria showed a severe lack of professionalism, and even told a story about how in the past she forgot to set an alarm and was late to a wedding! Not what a bride wants to hear.
RETRIAL: After the trial was completed, I was not at all confident in the style done, my hair was literally pinstraight 15 minutes after the girls left. I sent Emily a photo and told her this was not going to work. She suggested I pay for a retrial. I paid a additional $95 for a retrial on my hair.
Maria showed up almost an HOUR late. She did not even apologize, just said that she misjudged how long it'd take to get there. But, I liked my hair at this retrial and I was happy and excited going in to wedding day. It is a simple half up hairdo with curls.
WEDDING DAY: I took about a month to write this post because I did not want to fly off the handle when discussing how horribly the wedding day went in regards to Love N' Glow.
Again , Emily & assistant makeup artist show up promptly, ready to work, sweet as ever. I immediately notice Maria is not there and ask what is going on. Maria finally shows up 35 minutes late.
Within the first 10 minutes of starting my hair, Maria burned the hell out of my ear. The scab lasted three weeks. She was distracted talking to one of my bridesmaids and literally did not even notice the curler sitting on my ear.
If my hair came out fine on the day of, I seriously would be fine looking past this whole thing and not even leaving a review. Here is the most mindblowing part in all of this:
Maria FREESTYLED my hairdo on my wedding day..... like she literally did a whole different hairstyle than what we did in my trials. WTF?! I had a half up with a BUN. Never in my life have I worn a bun. It looked great from the front. I didn't get to double check what the back looked like before Maria realized her car was getting towed and literally sprinted out the door with all her things. She couldn't have been gone more than 5 minutes when I realized that she had totally changed my wedding hairstyle to something I truly hated. It looked like a birds nest.
I felt so defeated and I was truly just sad that I didn't fire Love N' Glow and let them have my deposit when I saw the red flags.
Bless my lucky stars, my photographer saved the day and ended up completely redoing my hairstyle to something I was okay with. I am truly APPALLED when I look back at how my experience was on my wedding day in regards to hairstyling.
Work with Emily for makeup, but please please please do not get your bridal hair done through this company.

Hey Carly,
I just wanted to (first) personally apologize for the emotional burden and hair issues you went through! I just issued you a $130 refund, and wanted you to know how regretful I am for the experience you had with Maria. It makes me sick to think that she caused that many issues, and although I had a feeling it was going downhill when you reached out about her being late (and I extended an offer to replace her, but I understand why you opted out seeing as it being so close to the wedding) I kept wondering maybe if she was going through something at home and having a bad couple days (because she's worked multiple weddings with me successfully) and only started acting unprofessional at the time of your trials. I Had no idea she didn't give you the right style on the wedding day, though, and I'm SO sorry about that! There's no excuse for the lack of attention she gave to your hairstyle request, and style itself. Your feelings are 100% valid, and it makes me so sad that I ended up letting you down by misjudging the red flags. I do understand where you were coming from with the review, and I will take your experience, and thoughts into consideration to better manage Love n' Glow stylists or artists - to make sure it NEVER affects one of my brides so badly again! I wish you and your husband the best!! -
