Julie was wonderful to work with. She had so many dresses to choose from and allowed my mom and I to walk around the store and pull dresses ourselves. I had tried lots of dresses on and wasn't feeling them, so redressed. I walked the store one more time and a dress I hadn't seen before caught my eye. It ended up being the one! Dress came in on time and payment and pickup was easy.

I love this bridal shop! They hang around just the right amount of time. They help cinch you in to your next dress and make sure you're comfortable before they leave to give you time to discuss with the group. I found my dress on sale here and went to a family friend for alterations so all in all my dress was far less than $1000, which was my original budget. Because my dress was a sales rack dress there were stones missing and lots of visible wear. Even though it was a sale dress the shop did a wonderful job of replacing broken and missing stones and repairing any visible wear and tear, which I wasn't really expecting them to do on a sale dress. I was ecstatic with the result! You couldn't even tell the stones were at one point broken!

Pearls and Lace is a wonderful dress shop! No strict appointments or limits to how many dresses you can try on. TONS of options and dresses in many different price ranges. The ladies who work there are kind and helpful. Both my sister and I found our dream wedding dresses there at great prices! I would definitely recommend the store to any bride-to-be :)

I went to many bridal stores looking for that perfect dress. This was by far my favorite and of course where I purchased. I fell in love with it. The store has this family boutique kind of feel and the staff is so great at attending to each customer. Customer service is top notch here. They sent my dress off to be altered to my exact measurements and it came back to the store flawless, they even sent me a thank you for my purchase in the mail...such a sweet gesture. I wish this business much continued success; they deserve it!

I was pretty discouraged by the time I came to Pearls & Lace. I really didn't want to spend that much money on my wedding dress as it is a one-time wear dress and anything over $1000 just seemed excessive. I had gone to 4 different stores before I came to Pearls and Lace and any dresses that were under $600 were just more like a bridesmaid dress or not flattering at all.

However, I walked into Pearls & Lace about 15 minutes before they were closed just to see, and they were able to pull 4 dresses off of the rack for me that were in my price range. I saw one dress that I asked them to write down the name for and I later came back and tried it on and loved it.

1. Pearls & Lace is a pretty good sized boutique. They have both Bridesmaids and Wedding dresses. I bought all of my bridesmaid dresses there as well as my wedding dress.

2. They can find anything within your price range. I ended up getting a dress for $700, that wasn't on the sample/sales rack! In case you're wondering, I got an Allure 2716 dress.

3. I haven't gotten my dress yet, but they order as close to your size as possible. They don't do alterations so they're not trying to jack up the size so that they could get money from you for alterations. They refer out for alterations and the prices they gave me for alterations were reasonable for bustling and hemming.

4. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE AN APPT and be restricted to the one hour that's usually given to you for appts. And I personally really enjoyed that they didn't have a personal shopper following me around. That puts more pressure on. When you walk in, they'll ask for your criteria and then pull dresses off for you and help you put the dress on but they give you space to talk to your party.

Overall, if you were as practical as I am about dresses and are looking to not spend that much money and you're getting pretty discouraged, I'd say try Pearls & Lace. They're amazing people.

I did my research before I chose a place to shop for dresses; especially since I am around a size 14-16, I wanted to be able to feel comfortable trying on dresses and not just stuck with the smaller sizes. I was not disappointed! The moment I walked in they took great care of me, asking questions about what style I was looking for, when my wedding was, etc., and letting me know where the sale dresses were. But then I got the chance to look around myself which was such a relief. There was no pressure, no one trying to force a sale, etc. Just me, my maid of honor, and my mom looking through wedding dresses! The atmosphere is very relaxed but classy, and then had plenty of different styles and designers in my size. I chose a beautiful Allure ballgown and a veil that were both well within my price range. They give out recommendations on tailors as well! I drove down from Bellingham, and my wedding was in Mt. Vernon so I used a tailor in Bellingham, but it was a lovely addition at any rate. Thank you Pearls and Lace!!

Purchased my wedding dress at Pearls and Lace in February. I shopped at multiple dress stores/salons, but Pearls and Lace was hands down my favorite store. They do things a little differently, you don't have to make an appointment, they don't always have someone to help you in and out of dresses and since there's no appointment you can stay as long as you like and try on as many dresses as you like. The staff is very friendly! On my first visit to the store I didn't know the store hours and didn't realize until after I left that the store should have closed 30 minutes ago. I was never rushed or told to leave, she was extremely polite and didn't even mention it. They also have a very large selection of dresses at a lot of different price points. My two suggestions are to bring someone with you to help you in and our of gowns, and to try on lots of dresses. I didn't love my dress on the hanger but once it was on me it was perfect! If you want help they will offer it, if not they will let you be, it's the best of both worlds.

I found the perfect dress here. It had all the elements I wanted, ended up being more than I wanted to spend, but I was very confident with my final decision. I liked that they had lots of dresses to choose from, at several price points. Lighting and mirrors were well placed. I'd recommend bringing an able friend to help, because it can be overwhelming.

When I looked for my wedding dress I wanted to be able to look through the dresses myself and not feel pressured by a consultant to make a decision or go with a certain style. Pearls & Lace was the perfect fit for me! You are able to walk around the entire store as much as you want and pull any dresses that interest you. The women who work there are wonderful and were always there to help lace me into a dress or help me out of one whenever I needed it. There was no pressure, they let you take pictures, and they even write down the styles that you like for you to take so that you know exactly which ones you were looking at. I found an amazing dress that everyone loved and can't recommend this place enough!

If I could give them more stars I would. I got a beautiful Allure fit and flare gown for $700! The selection at Pearls and Lace is amazing, room after room of every style you could be looking for. I had fun trying dresses at other salons, but I always felt I wasn't getting to see and try dresses I might like. Here I was able to look through all the dresses and pull ones to try with my friends until I found the one. I'm also a size 12 in normal clothes and at pearls and lace they had plenty of dresses in sizes I could try, unlike some other shops with smaller collections. The dresses are great, the staff is wonderful and the price is right!

Pearls and Lace is an amazing place to find a dress! I love that they don't bother you and try to get you to try on dresses. You walk into the store and roam around on your own and look at dresses and pick some up that you want to try on. It was so nice to have the freedom after trying on dresses at other stores and not being able to search on your own. They have lots of beautiful dresses to choose from. Another really awesome thing about Pearls and Lace is that they allow you to take pictures of yourself in dresses unlike any other wedding dress store I've ever been to. I ended up leaving the store with two dresses. They were so cool and flexible; they allowed me to buy both and gave me the option to return one within the week if I decided I only wanted to keep one. This kind of customer service is impossible to find anywhere else. I decided to keep both and used one in a photo shoot. I absolutely loved them both. I am so glad I went to Pearls and Lace!!

This place is great. You don't need to make an appointment, you're not harassed by sales associates and you get to choose your dress on your own time. If you're looking for the "say yes to the dress" experience where someone follows you around with champagne and says you look gorgeous in anything that's way overpriced and makes you look like a cow, then don't come here. If you want helpful associates, a huge selection and not feel like you have to prearrange your whole day just to make it in the store, than this is your spot. I got an amazing deal on an off the rack dress and it was cheaper than what I saw at David's and the quality is world's apart. They recommended two different seamstresses so you're not convinced to use an in house lady that's overpriced, or you could use your own mom if you wanted to. I recommend this place to all my friends!

I went to Pearls & Lace with my mother and sister in July of 2012. After trying on 6 or so gowns, I found THE ONE. When I ordered it, the owner told me it would be ready for pickup in October, but it arrived early in August. I also ordered a belt to go along with the dress, and it really made my look complete. I would recommend Pearls & Lace to any brides looking for a wide selection of dresses and great customer service.

I went to at least 15 wedding dress stores and none of them compared to pearls and lace. The store is beautiful, and the ambience really adds to the magic of trying on wedding dresses. I loved my dress and pearls and lace!

Pearls and Lace has an excellent selection. I went to many dress shops before I found the perfect dress at Pearls and Lace. The customer service is great. All of the women in the shop are very friendly. Best of all, they are not pushy. I felt like they were more interested in making sure I chose the dress I wanted instead of just trying to get a sale. As an added bonus, they made a custom veil to match my dress and sold me the perfect sash to complement my dress. Ladies, do yourself a favor. Save yourself some time and go to Pearls and Lace first. ; )

P.S. If you need a seamstress to alter your dress, I would highly recommend Svetlana at American Freestyle Alterations in downtown Seattle.

Loved peats and lace! What meant so much to me was there was no pressure. Every other bridal shop I felt like I was being herded in and out. You couldn't really take your time. They have all of the big name bridal gowns- mori lee, allure, etc. You don't need an appointment and you could stay as long as you needed. The owner and sales girl were super nice and knowledgable.

Julie was awesome- so supportive and helpful! I've recommended many to go to her. I went to a ton of places that really forced decisions on me but Julie was authentic and genuine. She has great selection and was very relaxed about the whole process. Employees are not paid on commission so it's more about the experience and finding a perfect dress than making a sale. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience!!

I bought my wedding dress there. They are very helpful and let you try all the dresses you want. You don't need an appointment and there is no time limit. They do help you when you need to be zipped up and with dress selection. Great place.

Located in Burien on 152nd. This place is a gem. I am so glad I found it. No pushy sales people. It is a very hands on shop. Don't expect the consultant thing like at DB or AA. You can pull your own dresses, try on as many as you like, stay as long as you like etc. They are very responsive to emails. Also the person they recommend for alterations Donna is fantastic.

Pearls and Lace was my first stop to look for a wedding dress. My sister in law bought hers here, and I am so glad she brought me. I went to 2 other stores after this one, but ultimately came back.

The staff is helpful and friendly and makes you feel special! The quality of their dresses is fantastic, and they have options for every budget. They didn't even mind that I kept picking dresses from the as-is rack to try, and when I did come back they let me sit there deciding between 2 dresses for a half hour and never bothered me.

It's a cute little location, and worth it to have the amazing staff help that I didn't experience at any other bridal store.

I absolutely love this store. The service is helpful without being too invasive. They have many beautiful dresses and accessories. They even played with and kept an eye on my son while I tried on dresses.

LOVED this wedding bridal shop. I went to a few other places in Seattle area and all felt a little stiff. Then we came to Pearls and Lace and were greeted by the two ladies who run the shop. They are SO helpful, sweet, don't mind if you have a lower budget and don't care if you bring lots of friends and cameras. They were so sweet and the atmosphere of the shop just made my wedding dress shopping experience so wonderful!

If you haven't been here to try on dresses then you are missing out. They have a huge selection, friendly people and it is very spaced out. I felt crammed in other shops with limited room for my family to see me try on dresses. The wonderful ladies here were very kind and patient and I would reccomend their service to anyone.

Wonderful! This was the first bridal store I visited and the last, with a few stops in between. You cannot beat the selection OR the customer service. Pearls and Lace truly goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for their perfect dress.

Great selection of dresses, and very good deals for off-the-rack dresses. I found my perfect wedding dress here, and it was a better price than I could have hoped for. The staff there was very helpful and patient when I came in by myself to look at dresses, and I feel like they gave honest advice on what looked good and what didn't. They even gave suggestions for accessories that were not just the accessories they sold, which to me means they actually care about what they do.

I even picked up a clearance bridesmaid sample dress while I was there, to wear for an upcoming formal event. Score!

Pearls & Lace is an amazing place to go dress shopping. We started that day off with 3 appointments, Pearls & Lace being the first one. I was told about this boutique by several friends who had recently gotten married and was told I had to go there. The staff is so friendly, and the store is really comfortable. You get a different feel by going here, it is extra special. I ended up cancelling the other 2 appointments, found my dress the first stop and was sooo happy with it! The prices are great, and the dresses are top quality. I have recommended this shop to other friends who have had the same great experience!

This was the first wedding dress store I went to - and I LOVE this place! Even though you don't need to make appointments, the employees are so helpful and nice! Plus, they let you take pictures!

I actually didn't end up getting my dress here - i had gone to another location to see other dresses, but I still have nothing but good things to say about Pearls and Lace. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for a dress!

We got our bridesmaids dresses here and I would have bought my dress here but the designer did not make it anymore. Julie is amazing and she makes you feel so wonderful when you are trying on dresses!! They do not have a no picture policy so you can take pics and then do home and think about it with no pressure! She is really good at helping you pick out styles that you like, and she knows her stock up and down! If you want a special experience that you will remember then go here you will not be let down!!!

I loved everything about Pearls and Lace. They really did give me such needed one on one time and helped me weed thorough a bunch of hard choices. The selection was great at all that ladies at the shop are super nice. Most importantly though I found the perfect dress and the price was so affordable. Even if you don't find your dress at this shop I recommend going and looking because they are so helpful and sweet.

Pearls and Lace was my dream wedding place. From the moment that I walked in the door to the day i picked up my dress the service and atmosphere was great. I purchased both my dress and my bridesmaid dresses here and the order was taken care of perfectly. The store is very relaxed, clean, and professional. They do not take appointments which i found to be a huge plus, i was not pressured at all, but instead got to roam and look at all the sample dresses with my mom and maid of honor. We went on a wednesday which was perfect because we had the store to ourselves. We also went on a saturday to pick up the bridesmaid dresses and it was much busier. I recomend the week days for sure. This store is a gem and perfect for any bride who wants a pressure free expierence at the cutest little store in the seattle area.

I was so happy that I had an experience with Pearls ans Lace.The boutique was specious and carry all kinds of gorgeous pieces. And I loved atmosphere in it - very relaxing and stuff is very helpful.

Great experience! I had a short time line, so I bought a dress off the rack, Julie was quick to do the alterations, and it came out perfect. A fun, relaxed experince. I had it cleaned and preserved through them also, and that came out great. Five stars!

Pearls and Lace was just the kind of bridal shop I was looking for, very low key! Julie, the owner, encouraged people to bring cameras and to look around to find the perfect dress. The order time was much quicker than I had anticipated (only 2 months) which was a relief.

This place is wonderful! It looks small from the outside and is easy to miss, but inside is gorgeous and super spacious! They have tons of gowns, veils, bridesmaid dresses, headpieces, etc. to choose from. The women that work there are so nice and helpful. They have a huge area with chairs and big mirrors, so there is plenty of room and viewing space for your friends and family that want to come. The dressing rooms are really spacious as well and the entire store lets in a lot of light. I can't say enough good things about this place. I loved it! Many other places I went to try on dresses were cramped and crowded. Granted I went right when this store opened in the morning....but it is very spacious so you don't feel like you are cramped and competing with other brides.

This is a wonderful store. I shopped here for bridesmaid dresses. I was about to give up on the whole idea of matching dresses before I came to this store, because dresses I found barely tolerable cost $300.00, and I was not about to ask my friends to spend that. Julie had a selection of very elegant dresses, all of which came in about 12 different colors, at very reasonable prices. They were the kind of tasteful dresses you could actually wear again, not the stiff tafetta hello-I'm-a-bridesmaid kind of dresses. She was also nice, helpful, and seemed as excited about my wedding (or more so, even) than I was. She had really nice wedding dresses too but I already had mine when I discovered this place.

The only downside was I asked her for a seamstress referral for my wedding dress (I liked Julie so much, I figured her seamstress was great), some lady in burien who worked out of her home. She did a terrible job, I had to get someone else to redo it. If you buy from Julie and she still has the same seamstress she had in 2001, I recommend you find a different seamstress.

I originally found my dress at Demetrios in Tacoma, WA, but after being jerked around quite a bit... I took my search for the same dress elsewhere. I ended up going to Pearls and Lace in Burien because my sister-in-law recommended it. Julie was so great in getting me into my dress and she was great in giving a discount on the bridesmaid dresses. She was fabulous to work with and I got a much better deal than I would have Demetrios.

I was able to find a perfect wedding dress for me...at a price I could afford. The ladies were wonderful and patient...and I had no worries, everything was ordered perfectly and came in without a hitch.

I fell in love with a dress at another store, but kept shopping because of course you have to make sure there's nothing else out there that's better. I went into Pearls and Lace and found the same dress for about $100 less than at the other store. Julie is friendly and helpful and the store has been beautifully remodeled. Tons of dresses. So much fun to shop there.

The ladies at Pearls and Lace were just awesome to work with! They had the best prices for top quality dresses I could find. They allowed us to take pictures (that NEVER happens in the wedding industry) because they stood by their materials and knew they couldn't be undersold. This was crucial to me in helping me decide on a dress - pictures of me in them. I just adored working with them and wish I could plan another wedding just so I could go back and shop there.

WONDERFUL SHOP! they ordered my dress even though they didnt carry it. she also had made my veil for me even using a tiara i bought somewhere else. was the most friendly person we dealt with, just wonderful!!! highly recommend!

Don't be fulled by the green carpet and lack of a runway. Pearls & Lace is a bridal boutique run by a mother and daughter with a personal touch. Pearl & Lace has tons of dresses for you to pull from. They allow you to wander the store unattended and pull dresses on your own. No pushy sales person following you. After finding a dress I loved in another boutique downtown I found the same dress at Pearls & Lace. The dress was about $25 dollars more here but I rather my money go to a small family owned store then a big store in the city. When I asked about alterations in the big store in the city they informed me altering the neckline would cost my a minimum of $200 at their store. Pearls and Lace referred me to their seamstress who works out of her house. She altered my neckline, added buttons, and hemmed it all for $75. Definitely worth it.

This is the most magical store! I walked in, found a dress within 45 minutes and was out with a smile. They provided excellent alteration recommendations, were genuinely excited about my big day and left me and my bridesmaids to enjoy the experience.

They were there when we needed them but allowed us to tailor our experience--it was wonderful!

I got my wedding dress here and it was a very positive experience. They don't require an appointment which is nice, I just walked in and they let me try on dresses. Great selection and a good selection of sale dresses too for those on a budget. They are so nice and friendly in there! They were helpful and willing to answer any questions.

I decided to purchase my dress at this shop, because the customer service was so great! Julie, who works there, is so nice! She called me back right away and helped me with any questions I had. You don't have to make an appointment and you can take pictures! I had such a great time trying on wedding dresses with my friends at Pearls and Lace.
The only bad thing that happened was; my dress came in and they ended up sending the wrong length, so I had to re-order it. Luckily I had ordered my dress like 8 months ahead, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it the 2nd order.

This wedding dress store had a varied and organized selection of wedding dresses and a laid back, classy atmosphere. They don't take appointments and you won't have a consultant with you, but you look through the dresses, change in the roomy changing rooms, and then come out to the front area where you are surrounded on three sides by mirrors.

In addition to the gal working behind the counter, there was a seamstress/consultant with an apron of clamps and pins offering help. The bathroom was carpetted and furnished with a comfortable and elegant style. They also had plenty of veils and belts they happily offered to bring me when they heard that I wished the dress I was trying on had more sparkle.

They were kind and helpful, but not overbearing or pushy. The pricess ranged from $600 to $3000 approximately.

Pearls and Lace has such a wonderful variety of beautiful dresses! They are all reasonably priced as well. It was an easy place to shop with no appointments, waiting or time limits. The hardest part was choosing which pretty dress to go with!

I worked with the fabulous women at Pearls and Lace in Burien. After finding THE dress online via Maggie Sottero, I was dismayed to learn that almost NO bridal salons carried the gown anymore. I called at least 20 shops up and down the Puget Sound until I finally reached Pearls and Lace. I was a bit skeptical about going to Burien of all places to buy my dress - but let me tell you, it was SO worth it! Not only did I NOT have to make an appointment, they let you wander the shop and see the dresses yourself. You can pull them out, examine them and load your room up with as many as you want until you find the perfect one. I knew Juliette was my gown from the moment I saw her- but I tried on a few others just to be sure! From the day I placed the order, to the day it arrived in the shop, it only took about 2 and a half months. When it arrived, it fit like a dream! The only alteration I needed was in length! The ladies here are wonderful and I couldn't say enough good things about them! The prices are great and the selection is awesome!

Pearls and Lace was BY FAR my favorite bridal dress boutique!!
So personal, peaceful, relaxed, and a very pleasurable experience.
I purchased a beautiful, unique, vintage bridal gown - Saige by Maggie Sottero.
Their selection is beautiful, store is well lighted with stages and lots of "spotlight" space, there's a 50% sale rack, and the staff is so sweet and helpful!

Very nice woman who runs the store. Lets you try on as many dresses as you want and lets you take pictures. She doesn't hover over you and will help you when you need it. Makes a lot of great suggestions. I got my dress from here and my veil. We had a minor emergency with my veil from another place and we called her and she had a veil ready the next day, and she makes them herself.

They had the least pushy, most honest salespeople I met while shopping for my dress. I loved that they understood that not every bride can spend thousands on a wedding dress and actually encouraged buying clearance. They also had some of the best selection I saw.

The shop makes you feel like royalty... it is beautiful and girlee and warm hearted...
My mom made her own wedding dress 30 years ago and never tried one on at a store... I asked the manager if my mom could try some on for fun... not only did they let her but the gal joined in the fun!!
The only drawback to ordering your dress from here is that it takes about 3 months for it to come in. It is TOTALLY worth the wait but order right away to get your dress in time... including any alterations needed after it comes in.
You will be treated beautifully!

Fun shop - decent amount of dresses and organized my style! Didn't find my dress there but it was nice to visit. They had a nice selection of accessories. Limited sales staff so bring a friend!

Firstly, I recognize I will be one of the first women to write a not so positive review but I am living off the honesty system.
I went in on a saturday, which would be a likely mistake, but this place is walk in only, and saturday is the only day that worked for all my bridal party.

We walk in, and there were 4 other bridal parties in there, so there were no viewing spaces for my party (which was fine). I sign in and a sales clerk walks by us and toward the other party and assists them quite lovingly. She then looks at our party and says "Oh yeah, you guys can just follow them". Rude.

So we follow, I am not trying to make this a horrible experience. She spends time telling the other bride what was what, then looks over to me and says "The green tags are the sale dresses" and walks away!! Made me feel like my party and myself didn't look like we had the money to spend at this place.

I walk the store and there is nothing over a size 20 (Which is a street size 12). I find 2 dresses, one in a 20 and one in an 18. I ask them what the next step is, and she points to my dressing room and says "Knock yourself out!" while she helps the other party with trying on and clipping in the dresses.

I walked out.

I felt disrespected and unappreciated. My money is good enough, my time is worth as much as the other womens and we deserved as much attention as anyone else.
