Pearl Boutique is a quaint, lovely spot for an intimate shopping experience. Ryan is responsive, super friendly and optimistic and very organized. The price points for the dresses are very on par with dresses with beading, lace, and/or tulle. The jewelry collection is small but with a large range. I would definitely recommend this business for any brides looking for the perfect dress for their special day! -

Pearl Bridal helped me choose the most perfect wedding gown! I went in with pictures and an idea in mind, which was helpful. The dress I chose was classy and elegant but definitely not what I would have chosen on my own. I am so thankful for Ryan as she pushed me out of my comfort zone and found me the most perfect dress and veil that fit my style, look and personality! -

I had a fun and seamless experience working with Pearl Bridal Boutique. From my first try on, to selecting accessories and my fittings everything went perfectly. The staff is so patient and accommodating, they walk you through everything and you’ll feel very taken care of. Athan fitted my dress and with the alterations he made my dress looked like it was custom made for me and my body type. I couldn’t recommend this boutique more highly! -

Pearl Bridal was an incredible experience. They were kind and accommodating, making sure I had the best experience through the pandemic restrictions! The ladies were my biggest hype ladies, making me feel so positive about myself and giving me the best experience from beginning to end! The alterations were easy and painless, and I was confident in the whole process! They eased all my nerves, and my dress was perfect day of! -

Pearl Bridal was the 3rd Bridal Shop I went to and I wish I had started there first! Ryan is extremely professional and she did a great job picking out dresses that matched what I was looking for. At other bridal shops I went to I felt pushed to make a decision. Ryan asked consultative questions and did not rush me to make a decision. She made the dress shopping process enjoyable and I felt extremely comfortable with my purchase. She then later picked out a veil for me, also without pushing me to buy one when I was originally hesitant, and it matched the dress perfectly.
My dress was also altered at Pearl Bridal and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the work. The bustle was intricate and I'm glad I stayed there for alterations rather than going somewhere else.
Overall, I had a great experience shopping here and would highly recommend it to other brides! -

Ryan and the team at Pearl are amazing! I was nervous about trying on dresses as a plus size bride, but Ryan made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire visit. I gave her ideas of styles and details I like, and she absolutely nailed it. The third dress I tried on was the one! Ryan's expertise is on point, and her eye for detail is wonderful. The quality and selection of gowns is stunning. We ended up getting our bridesmaid dresses there as well. Ryan was always quick to respond to emails and any and all questions I had. Covid hit right as my dress arrived in the shop, but she was in constant communication with me on where things stood. They were quick to adapt to COVID safety procedures once things started to open up again. Athan in alterations is phenomenal; he worked wonders on my dress after I lost 70 pounds! He is a true miracle worker (thank you!). Everyone at Pearl is such a delight to work with, I highly recommend them! -

I found my perfect gown at Pearl! The shop is cozy and pretty, the staff was sweet, and the selection was amazing. I came in with a budget, and Brittany found everything I was looking for in one dress, UNDER budget. My wedding was last week and I’ve been getting endless compliments on my dream dress! -

I had a wonderful experience with Pearl Bridal for finding my perfect wedding dress. Ryan was very patient and accommodating throughout the whole process. I went there with the frail hope of finding a dress at the first boutique I went to and I ended up going with the first dress I tried on! It was literally the only detail of the entire wedding planning journey that I did not second guess or doubt for a second. The follow up of fittings and alterations went very smoothly- everything came out perfect! Thank you again Pearl! -

Working with Pearl Bridal was a great experience. Everyone was super nice and they worked hard to find a dress that I loved that was in my budget. Every fitting was a stress-free and exciting appointment. They didn't seem to mind when I came in to try it on in between fittings to see how the dress would go with various accessories/veil. The only downside was the alterations - the guy was very nice but my bustle broke less than an hour into the reception. He's an independent contractor, not an actual employee of Pearl, but it still was a disappointment. Overall, awesome bridal shop, I would definitely recommend! -
Jen Sent on 07/27/2018My experience with Pearl Bridal still seems like a fairy tale. The communication leading up to my first, private appointment was super clear and easy. When we got there, the space was so unique and classy; it really helped shape the experience. Ryan helped me find a dream dress within 20 minutes which was not the goal, but I’m positive that her expertise on bridal gowns and styles and the way they fit certain bodies helped the process feel seamless! The prices were surprisingly all under my budget, and I didn't have to think twice when searching for a veil at the same place. I didn't know I would end up with a blush dress, but they somehow knew I would eventually end up with one!
Every time I visited Pearl Bridal for a fitting or when searching for accessories, it just all felt so easy and fun. I don’t think this happens everywhere, and I’ve already recommended this boutique to so many friends, family members, and clients. Once I found the dress at Pearl Bridal, everything else fell into place. It was a dream experience that I’ll never forget! -

Chelsea Sent on 01/25/2018I visited many bridal shops before going to Pearl Bridal and have to emphasize that all the negative parts of every other store (especially, that big-box store where everyone goes...) were non-existent at Pearl. Other shops were dirty, crowded, pushy, and made me feel bad about my size. I never once felt that way at Pearl. It is small, so you don't have to worry about trying on dresses in front of a ton of strangers. They offer plus sizes, they are kind and patient, and the employees have great senses of humor. You will pay a little more here because the dresses are top-notch, but it is totally worth it. I found a dress that fit my personality to a T and made me feel beautiful on my wedding day. Luckily my schedule allowed for me to have a weekday appointment, so it was just the owner Ryan, me, and one of my bridesmaids who could make it. It was a relaxing experience and after showing Ryan my Pinterest, she knew exactly what dresses for me to try. Anything I asked, she was more than happy to find for me and answer any question. I was comfortable in the shop and with Ryan pretty much seeing everything I have, lol and that is saying a lot. One dress in particular stood out to me on display in the front window and was not anything I thought would look that great on me, but I fell in love and I just knew it was the right dress. Ryan was not pushy or providing opinions, other than simply agreeing with my thoughts and affirming how I felt about the dresses, as well as what alterations will be best, along with making sure the gowns supported my chest and were flattering on my shape. I remember gown shopping for prom and other formal events and feeling like the staff were a bit overbearing and telling me what I should go with. Ryan was far from that and also stayed right within my budget too. Also- the boutique itself is gorgeous and I really enjoyed the ambiance, as did my bridesmaid. My little ring bearer even came for the fun! I am so glad I chose to go to Pearl Bridal first (such smooth sailing), and am excited for when it comes in and to have it altered for the big day- what an amazing wedding gown! Thank you Ryan! -

Pearl was the first and only bridal shop I went to. I wanted to go there because some friends had found great dresses and enjoyed their experiences, and also their website was super transparent about dress prices. The most expensive dress they have is about $2500 so I knew I wasn’t risking trying on something outrageous. I worked with the owner Ryan, told her want look I was going for, and she pulled dressed that were perfect. I tried on everything but I bought the second dress she had me try on. Never looked back it was great! I also did alterations at the store. The shop has a guy come in (I wish I could remember his name) and he was super fun and also very fair in price. I spent around $400 on alterations and I’ve heard some people spend closer to $800 so I was ok with that. Thanks for all your help Pearl! -

However, I deducted a little bit off the score because the seamstress was quite rude to my friend during one of my fittings . Although the dress fit very well, the bustle kept coming undone. I would echo what some of the other reviewers have said and hear about having alterations done elsewhere. Otherwise, I would absolutely recommend this boutique for all shapes and sizes

It looked like it was made for me after alterations were done. They also offered me accessories and jelwery. They are a full service boutique that also has MOB and bridesmaid dresses. I would recommend them to anyone whose looking for a more personal experience during their dress shopping process! -

Now, I’ve read throughly through all of these reviews. So I am not alone. Boutique? 5/5, Service? 5/5 for the most part. I had a wonderful experience with this boutique and found the most outstanding dress beyond what I imagined for my wedding day. May I add the size I tried, fit almost perfectly, I’m short so that’s where it didn’t haha!
When I tell you to take your dress elsewhere to be altered, along with all of these other brides who have mentioned it. DO IT!!! My $1400 dress was ruined & I am so blessed for a woman who saved it as best she could, just two days before my wedding. Anyone who knows even the slightest of brides dresses, your feet should not be showing completely, toes when you walk? Sure! But completely my feet???? Absolutely not. The excuses I received were I am short and the material underneath. Lousy. If you know a bride is short, if you know a material that is stretchy will spring up when you cut it…why cut it that much….? If you want your curly hair up to your shoulders, a hair stylist should know better to cut your hair a little Longer when wet right? Let me add, these alterations were $445. A tailor should know correctly how to do these things, and if you can’t…please just stop doing gowns, especially ones people wait their whole life for a beautiful moment in. I’ve attached two photos, one of first time I tried on the dress, and one just two days before my wedding, trying to fix what was ruined. -

Ryan is amazing and helped me find my perfect dress, I even had to go back a few times before I could commit. My only semi-negative experience was with the seamstress during my fitting. I felt my dress was too big and he tried to convince me otherwise and told me I wouldn't care on the day of my wedding. I called back a few days later and told them I couldn't get it off my mind. I went back and they took it in as I asked against their advice, but I am so happy I stuck with my gut. My dress fit like a glove on my wedding day and I felt beautiful and confident, as every bride should feel!! -

Darcy Sent on 05/19/2015We went with Pearl because it is near where my parents live, so even though we live in Georgia, they would be able to drive the gown to our destination wedding in Montreal. My budget was between 1K with some flexibility to 1.5K, I described the type of dress I thought I liked, and so we began. The first few dresses I tried on were very pretty, however higher than my estimated price range (which, by the way, I hadn't even considered tailoring costs at that point!), until my ultimate choice came out, which was perfectly what I wanted both in style and price. Great!
I flew back north for my tailoring twice, once with my sister (my MoH). The tailor was professional but we joked around too. The second time I came back for my final fitting, I tried on both my sister's (we're twins) dress as well as my own, since she lives in Hungary and couldn't be back herself. Her dress was way too long - probably about an inch and a half off. So that needed to be fixed, which I think we might have paid twice for, even though it wasn't done right the first time..? I'm not sure. My dress also needed some of the layers added into the bustle, so I think I paid for that work twice as well? Again, I'm not sure since I didn't receive an itemized copy of the services, just some numbers scribbled on a piece of paper.
During the wedding, my dress kept coming unbustled. Maybe we should have been pinching the eye hooks closed, but that was definitely a point of frustration. Sitting down was when they would come undone, so we would have to fix them intermittently throughout the night.
Overall, I'm pleased with the work done at Pearl Bridal, but I wish the tailoring costs were a bit more transparent. Were we paying for errors/oversights to be fixed, in addition to the original cost of the tailoring? I'm not sure. Ultimately I paid roughly $350 for my dress to be tailored and $110 for my MoH's dress to be tailored. -

It did help that I made my appointment first thing in the morning, on a friday (ladies take note!) but because of this, it was just me and my group in the store. I tried on numerous styles, and they zoned in very quickly on what I liked and kept me within my budget area. Within my appointment, I found "the one!"
I do suggest that if you're like me and you are not local, do not get your dress altered here. I'm a 9 hour drive and on a good day, a 200 dollar round trip flight back to the Holyoke area. I went in for my first dress alteration a little bloated and puffy from a recent vacation and the dress was much more snug. I insisted on not "relaxing the hips" but after much back and forth, i went with what the seamstress insisted. I also had the chest taken in and opted not for the added cups as I wanted the dress to fit snug against me, naturally without added padding. I went in for the second fitting and the shape of the dress was now altered, now extenuating my already large hips i was attempting to hide. The bust was still very lose, they suggested adding a second hook rather than taking it in more. Day of, the dress was big in all the places i said not to let it out, the chest was still not very snug and the second hook was never put in. They did however reverse the side of my sash which had been pinned on the wrong side just by me sending pictures which saved me another very expensive trip back to Holyoke. I think if I had opted to take it somewhere were I currently lived, I would have been able to go back more often for the fitting portion. The cost of the fitting was extremely reasonable. -

I hope this review will help a bride in the future...my experience at Pearl Bridal was the best experience I had at any of the bridal shops I visited as far as choosing my gown. They were not pushy and actually encouraged me to take photos, go home, look at them again etc. The staff there was also very welcoming, friendly, and kind. The trouble I had was when it came to my actual dress. I trusted the staff at Pearl to take my measurements and order what they thought was the correct size. Looking back, I wish I wasn't so trusting because my dress ended up being about 2 sizes too big and needing a ton of alterations. We again, trusted that the alterations would make it fit better. The bust area was huge and on my last fitting they said there was not much else they could do other than sell us some fabric tape to tape the top of the dress into place. I again, trusted them but left that day with not the best feeling in my gut. I should have been over the moon excited! Day of the wedding, the tape they sold me did not work and I was frustrated and sad. Luckily I had some cheap fabric tape from CVS that I also brought with me that seemed to work better. It took me 30 minutes+ to get my dress set. My wedding planner had to adjust and safety pin my straps in the back because the bust of the dress was just so heavy. My dress not fitting correctly is the only thing I would change about my wedding day. To any future brides- don't hesitate to question or ask for something to be changed.
