Amazing Experience

Paula and David should have written the book on “How many ways to be an amazing photographer and videographer” Paula and David are one of THE best photographers/videographers in Myrtle Beach, SC. Paul and I cannot express enough our gratitude for Paula and David. First, they were hired by Paul for the surprise engagement and were incredible at pretending to be doing a social media shoot so I wouldn’t figure things out. Not only are Paula, David and their team so friendly and fun, they made us feel “at home with family” when we would meet and while they took photographs. They exceeded our expectations, and our engagement photographs and video were so remarkably special that they came along for the journey and captured our wedding at Atalaya Castle. They know how to capture precious moments without disruption and the quality of their work is outstanding. When we or family and friends look at our wedding videos and photographs, we are moved beyond words. Every moment comes alive again for us.

The BEST ever!

Where to even start?! Paula is an absolutely incredible photographer! She photographed my engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding day. Of course my husband and I were both a little nervous before the engagement session but Paula made the photoshoot SO fun and made us feel so comfortable. And it shows in the pictures! We were not afraid to be ourselves around Paula which is exactly what I wanted in a wedding photographer. We brought our dog Henry to the engagement session and Paula got the best pictures of us with our pup! (she even took portraits of just Henry!!!) The bridal portrait session will always be one of my favorite wedding related memories! The time spent with my Mom, Paula, and her mom was priceless. We had SO much fun and Paula kept me laughing and made me feel like a queen. She is truly the best cheerleader ever!
She is honest and I could tell that she truly wanted me to look my very best in every single picture. She would run up to me before taking a photo to move one teeny hair, would tell me when I looked stiff, or needed to lift my chin up, etc. She took her time in making sure I was comfortable and relaxed which I appreciate SO much because getting a digital album with hundreds of photos of just you is a little terrifying.. but I am not lying when I say I loved every single one.
The wedding day was no different. Paula had the entire wedding party laughing all day long. I never got tired of taking photos on the wedding day because it didn't feel forced or too formal, it was actually so fun! We are SO excited to get the wedding day photos back because the sneak peeks we have seen are to die for.
Most importantly Paula is such an amazing person and I am SO thankful that we chose her as our wedding photographer. I loved every second spent with Paula and cannot thank her enough for being so kind, fun, comforting, encouraging and for being such a memorable part of the best day of my life! I will be reaching out to Paula for all future photography needs and am so happy to have her as a friend! I truly cannot recommend her enough. I LOVE YOU TONS PAULA! xoxo

Paula Makes Dreams A Reality

I will never be able to thank Paula and her team enough! The moment she arrived, she was the calm to our storm. Paula kept us on schedule, dealt with every mishap we had our wedding day with grace, and made us feel so at ease. Her direction for posing to creating the best images were impeccable and so appreciated. We also had them take photos for a take away gift for our guests and everyone raves about how wonderful it was to have. Her team worked so hard to make that dream a reality and was a hit!! I would drive down to Myrtle Beach all over again just to be photographed by her and her amazing team. We are forever grateful for her amazing talents!

Wonderful Experience!

This is the second time our family has hired Paula to do photos. We were so impressed with her and with our family photos from several years ago that she was first and only person we thought of to do wedding photos and new family photos. Videography of our daughter's wedding

Paula Player did the videography of our daughter's December wedding. We love the creativity, the different views and the story she captured. One word: AMAZING!! Paula, David, and their team recently worked with us for our October 8th wedding in Charleston. Paula also shot my bridal portraits over the summer at Middleton Place. Fantastic Photographer!!

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Paula and Pablo on our wedding day. We found Paula Player Photography when researching photographers in the Myrtle Beach area and when we saw their Instagram page, we immediately fell in love. We had a chance to meet with Paula and Pablo prior to our wedding, and they did a great job getting to know us. On our wedding day, they both went out of their way to make sure our day was special and captured all the moments that were important to us. They were great about sharing ideas for different shots at our venue. They both have a great sense of humor which helped me, my husband, and our bridal party to relax, which led to some of my favorite photos of the day. We ended up with so many beautiful pictures and will cherish them forever. The quality of our photos is stunning, and they did a fantastic job capturing the day. Stunning and amazing!

We cannot say enough good things about Paula and Pablo! They shot our wedding at the Dunes Club on March 19, 2022. We cannot thank them enough for being a part of our special day! All around Amazing

Paula,Pablo and David shot our wedding on December 17th at the Dunes Club. These fine individuals are top shelf in all aspects. Loved working with Paula and her team!

We absolutely loved working with Paula! We found Paula and her team through Charlene at Brookgreen Gardens, which was our wedding venue. We did our engagement session with Paula, which was so much fun! We had never done professional photos as a couple before, and Paula made it so easy to relax and enjoy the session. We loved how those photos came out!
David and Grace did our wedding, and they were also great to work with! The photos were absolutely beautiful and I love how they took their time to get all of our friends and family as well. We received so many photos back from the wedding, and going through them really felt like reliving the day over again.
I would absolutely recommend Paula and her team to anyone for professional, beautiful photos!

Amazing South Carolina Coastal Wedding

Paula and her team photographed my engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. My husband and family and I are blown away at the photos from that weekend! When I was searching for a photographer, Paula was quick to respond to my inquiry and I could tell right away that she would be a good fit. She made every event very fun and kept me and my bridesmaids belly-laughing all day. She is very creative and artistic, which shows in her photos - they are truly gorgeous. She truly listens to you and wants to make your vision come to life, and she is always ready to provide direction and expertise. Her team is amazing as well. Her husband David videographed the weekend for us, and we absolutely love the product - check out Player Films. She also brought multiple other shooters to the wedding in order to make sure we got the most out of our time with her. They captured the beauty of both my venues, the joy that my guests had while mingling and dancing, and the love that surrounded us on our beautiful wedding day. I seriously had a "dream team" beside me on my most special weekend, and Paula was a huge piece of that! She is extremely efficient and professional, and had our final pictures to us within 4 weeks after the wedding. She is worth every penny and I can't recommend her enough!!! We

Amazing experience!!

Where do I even begin? Paula and her team are absolutely incredible. First, I want to commend Paula on her kindness and empathy towards us when we had to postpone our wedding due to covid shutdowns. Paula was very accommodating and handled our rescheduling with ease. When we first started looking for photographers back in 2019, I had seen some of Paula’s work from a friend’s wedding and instantly fell in love! Paula goes for the natural, candid shots that show the raw emotion, which is exactly the style we were looking for. Prior to our wedding, I did a bridal portrait session with Paula. Paula traveled to my grandmother’s house for the shoot with no hesitation. Paula made me feel comfortable and beautiful the entire shoot – seriously, she is the best hype-woman! The photos she captured are breathtaking. After the shoot, Paula stayed and shared conversation and so many laughs with me and my family. It was so special and meant so much to build our relationship!
For the wedding, we had Paula and her assistant, Grace, photograph our wedding, and David was our videographer. They were all professional, organized, and so fun! Between the three of them, they captured everything. The photos are just stunning and bring back all of our wedding emotions. Paula and Grace captured all aspects of our wedding day perfectly. Paula was so bubbly and fun the whole time and kept the atmosphere relaxed. We have only seen a sneak peek of our wedding video, but let me tell you, I cry every time I watch it. David also set up and perfectly executed a livestream for us. We received so many compliments from those who tuned in! David had the camera set up at the perfect angle and had microphones on our officiant and the groom to ensure great sound quality. Throughout the ceremony and reception, we barely even noticed Paula, Grace, and David were around! Not once were any of them invasive.
Paula and David are very personable, which made us comfortable throughout our entire experience with the both of them. We cannot recommend Paula for photography and David for videography enough for weddings! If I could, I would give 100 stars! Thank you for absolutely everything! xoxo

Dream team

Paula and her husband David are hands down the best wedding photographers. The two of them are so professional but FUN at the same time. Our entire bridal party and both of our families loved them both. Everyone was laughing the entire time. These guys seriously are the best people to work with. Paula is the best hypewoman you could ever ask for. We would work with them over and over and over again. And not to mention the photos turn out absolutely perfectly!! Paula is Wonderful!

Paula is absolutely amazing! She photographed our wedding and made the entire process so easy and fun. From our first meeting we knew she was perfect for us. You can tell she genuinely cares about capturing the perfect photos for you. Being photographed can be awkward and weird but with her, we laughed and smiled and just had a great time. Amazing Detail Oriented Photographer

Paula Player is an amazing photographer and puts her heart into everything she does. I knew that I didn't have to worry about any photos and that she would capture all of the best moments. So Wonderful!

Paula and her crew are amazing! She made the process leading up to the day so easy and made sure to make the timeline exactly how we envisioned! She also knew all the vendors we were using, which was great for coordinating purposes. On the day of, she was so upbeat and happy...it spread to the crowd. My now husband is not a picture person but she was able to make him comfortable and get great shots. Not only is she amazing to work with, her pictures speak for themselves. Paula is amazing!!

Thrilled to have the opportunity to write my second review for Paula Player Photography. Paula and her assistants photographed my daughter's wedding at DeBordieu Club on March 2nd, 2019. They managed to capture photos of the wedding day lunch for our guests, the groom and his groomsmen at the house where they were getting ready, the bride and her bridesmaids at the house where they were getting ready, and then of course pictures of the First Look, family pictures, amazing pictures of the ceremony and then the reception. They got it all! And the pictures are amazing!! Paula spent a lot of time prior to the wedding talking with my daughter about the pictures she wanted, where she wanted the pictures to be, etc. And the day went flawlessly! Paula photographed our older daugher's wedding in December of 2017, so we knew we wanted to hire her again. One of the best decisions we made for the wedding! Paula is easy to work with, yet knows how to move things along, which can be tough when you have a large wedding party and large families. She made my daughter and her husband feel completely at ease so that the pictures of them really capture their personality. Plus, she is just so talented and was able to take advantage of all the beautiful nature around DeBordieu as well as the amazing, romantic fog that rolled in just as the ceremony began. Best Photographer Around!

Paula and her team are absolutely fabulous!!! Their energy is so uplifting and positive and they deliver magazine worthy results. They made our whole wedding experience so comfortable and fun for everyone. They captured all of our best, genuine moments. Every time I look back at our pictures, I feel like I'm living in the moment all over again. We received our photos a month after our wedding and I could not be more pleased. Paula is truly incredible! From the first phone call my fiancé and I had with Paula, we immediately knew she was the right fit for us and everything we were looking for in a photographer. She is extremely passionate about her work and such a talented photographer. Paula makes an effort to get to know the couple so the experience feels very personalized. Leading up to the wedding, Paula was very responsive with any questions we had and worked with us to ensure we captured the family photos we were really focused on getting.

Paula and her brother, Pablo, create a fantastic duo and make the entire process enjoyable and fun. When we met Paula for our Rehearsal Dinner (she did the photos for both our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding), we immediately felt like we had known her for years. My fiancé and I had never taken professional photos together, but Paula helped put us at ease and made the whole process feel very natural. Our whole bridal party raved about how well Paula was able to keep the group organized and on schedule, all while making sure everyone was laughing and smiling the whole day.

We received our photos about a month after our wedding and they are absolutely stunning! We have already received so many compliments on how beautiful the photos are - Paula is truly an artist. Overall, I highly recommend Paula for your wedding or any professional photos you may want done. The entire process from the first call through the wedding weekend and receiving the photos after was incredible!

Do you want breathtaking photos? Do you want to enjoy working with a vendor? Do you want to feel relaxed and 10/10 attractive while taking photos for your wedding? Then stop your search right now because you've found your dream photographer. No really, you've arrived. I could not recommend Paula and Pablo more - they're the absolute best!! Their work honestly speaks for itself - they take incredibly beautiful photographs and I can truly say there almost isn't a bad pic in the many hundreds from our wedding. Paula knew the best spots to take our stunning engagement photos (which was important because we live in NY!) and totally nailed the outdoor lighting for our beach ceremony. But what was so amazing and unique about Paula and Pablo was how FUN they are and how easy they make being the subject of all the photos feel!! Not being professional models ourselves, posing for photos felt a little unnatural for us at first. But within literally minutes of our engagement photos, Paula had us cracking up, whispering non-sense to each other, and thoroughly enjoying the experience more than we could have anticipated. And that was just the prelude to the wedding day itself. Paula and Pablo were professional, punctual, organized, and totally adaptable to our wishes and wants. They kept things light and easy but also kept us on track to make sure we got all the shots we requested. They are the perfect mix of being a fly on the wall and capturing the natural moments without you noticing and giving just the right amount of direction to get those money shots. We honestly can't stop looking at our photos and reliving the most magical weekend of our lives and we 100% have Paula and Pablo to thank for that. Paula and Pablo did an excellent job with our wedding photography. They were fun and very professional. They were very organized which helped us get through the standard set of pictures in a short amount of time which allowed us to enjoy more of our wedding day. During the reception they seemed invisible. They were never in the way, but captured amazing photos at the same time and every time I wanted to get a photo I would look up and either Paula or Pablo were right there like they knew I wanted to capture that moment. Paula and Pablo were amazing during our wedding! So accommodating and nice! Our photos are the BEST! We unfortunately ran into rain, but they made the best of it and were able to get amazing shots and even during golden hour the sunset came through! One of my best wedding planning decisions! I would give Paula 10 stars if I could. If you're looking for an intimate and personalized depiction of your wedding day, Paula (and her team) is your girl! I can't tell you how grateful I am for her professionalism, calm demeanor, ability to think on her feet and still capture all the shots I envisioned to capture on my wedding day. In Paula's eyes, each client is different with a different set of needs. She listened so carefully to my wants and needs and made sure they were exceeded on my wedding day. There's no pushiness with Paula that comes along with the stereotypical photographer. If you're done with photos and want to enjoy your reception, works with her. If you want more sunset shots, Paula is ready. Everything flowed so seamlessly and Paula played a huge factor in that. She reads her clients and knows when to give and let go. On one of the biggest days of your life, it's the little things that make all the difference, and you'll be so thankful you chose Paula Player Photography. Paula is amazing! From the first day we started working with her she listened to everything we wanted and had so much patience. She and Pablo were so fun! On the day of we danced, sang and laughed all day with them. You can tell how much this means to them.. they have true talent and you can see their love for photography. Can’t say enough great things about Paula and Pablo and Paula Player Photography. First, they are both so gracious and easy to get along with. Our groom is not exactly a fan of being photographed, but Pablo made it fun for him (and all the groomsmen). Paula is lovely and so nice to be around. But, most importantly, the pictures of my daughter’s wedding day are absolutely gorgeous. Stunning. I’m the mother of the bride and I know I’m biased, but I honestly think every single picture should be in a bride’s magazine. Paula is an artist! We hired Paula for our wedding in Charleston. She is passionate about her work, creative, and so professional! I've worked with Paula before on some headshots and engagement photos and loved her work already. On the day of the wedding though, I was even more impressed than ever! She and her talented brother Pablo took care of everything. Before the wedding, she set up a timeline and led us all through the shoot effortlessly. Paula & Pablo of Paula Player Photography were one of the best investments of our wedding. I instantly knew when walking through Paula's studio doors that her and her brother Pablo were the perfect fit for us. Paula is personable, fun, friendly, and has such a distinct and gorgeous photography style. She was easy to work with and responsive leading up to the wedding. We worked with Paula first for our engagement photos. We had an idea to do our photos at the state park with our dog. She went to so many great lengths trekking through the woods with us to get gorgeous camp fire shots and was so good with our dog, getting his attention! On our wedding day Paula & Pablo were punctual and worked so hard! One of the biggest comments from our guests was how great Paula and her brother Pablo were and how dedicated to getting the perfect shots they were. Paula also ensured that we got all the shots in but were fully present and enjoying our wedding. Once we took our few shots after the ceremony we barely noticed she was there the rest of the night. Not only did both our engagement and wedding photos come back in less than a month our photos are so special and we have one of kind shots to remember our perfect day for a lifetime and we have Paula to thank! I used Paula for my bridal portraits and Pablo and 2 assistants for my wedding day in May. My bridal portraits turned out to be EXACTLY what I wanted! I asked Paula if we could do film for those and I'm so glad we did.
For the wedding day, we had 300 guests and Pablo and crew handled everything so well. There are plenty of photos of me and my husband, our families and guests. We got our wedding photos back promptly in about a months time. If you're thinking about using them, just go ahead and do it because you won't regret it! They are so kind, fun and talented.

Paula Player is the best!

My husband is into photography and was super picky when we were looking for a wedding photographer. We looked at dozens of photographers’ websites when searching for a wedding photographer but stopped when we saw Paula’s site. Her photos were fantastic, not your typical stale wedding pics. Within five minutes of talking to Paula, we knew we had found the right person. She was warm and genuine and passionate about using photography to capture life’s special moments.

Paula and her brother Pablo are fantastic to work with. I usually hate how I look in pictures and am really uncomfortable getting my picture taken. But they are both so personable and make you feel at ease. We loved having Paula and Pablo at our wedding — they were so fun. Paula even helped us cut our wedding cake after watching us struggle (of course, I wish I had a picture of that!).

And our engagement pics and wedding photos are amazing! The photos look like something in bridal magazine. Everyone looks amazing. Paula captured so many great photos of our wedding guests that we’ve given the pics as gifts to our friends and family. The wedding album that Paula and Pablo designed looks like a bridal magazine spread. The hardest part was trying to select a few dozen pics for the album, out of over a thousand pictures that all looked fantastic.

I wholeheartedly recommend Paula Player Photography.

Just by browsing Paula's photographs on social media I knew I wanted to meet her about taking our wedding pictures. Everything about her images is so unique, different, and beautiful! I didn't want just your average cookie cutter wedding pictures! When I met with her for the first time she was so friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. Paula documented every angle of our unusual rehearsal dinner and wedding. She captured moments that represented our special weekend perfectly. My husband and I chose Paula Player Photography before we even sat down to meet with her. I requested a quote for our wedding day and bridals and was a little nervous about the cost. I spoke with Paula via email and she assured me that she could make it happen within our budget.
For a year I planned our wedding day and Paula was there to answer all the questions I had. A few months prior to the wedding I had bridal portraits done. This was scheduled the week of the flooding and of course, I had requested downtown Charlestion as our venue. Again Paula was there to offer suggestions of locations just as beautiful locally. It was at the bridal session where I finally got to work with Paula and Pablo. This duo is nothing short of amazing. They guided me through my ackward faces and uncomfortable stances, capturing the most beautiful pictures of my dress and I.
Now THE WEDDING DAY! When the day finally came both brother and sister showed up with smiling faces and went to work capturing every moment of our special day. For us they were more than our photographers they were at part of the party at that point. It was something I hadn't considered at first but when you plan a wedding, it is a celebration. You invite the people who mean the most to you in your life and having outsiders there can diminish some of the magic. But not these two, between Paula cracking jokes on my grandfather to get a good smile or Pablo scooting around the dance floor to ensure we could preserve the smiles on our flower girls faces. Paula was absolutely amazing! Her ability to capture the feel of the moment on film is stunning. The angles, the lighting, the shots all far superior to anything we could have imagined. What a wonderful blessing to have had Paula as our photographer! Paula is not only an amazing professional, she is also a great friend of mine, so to know the she could make it to my big day meant the world to me. Every single picture that she took has a special meaning, and you can actually tell our story by just looking at the pictures. She went all the way to Colombia to capture those special moments, and I would recommend her to anybody who would like to have such a wonderful memory. What a great experience! I was so thankful to have Paula by my side through the wedding planning and through to the big day. You cannot go wrong with this girl! It is not often that a bride comes back 2 years after her wedding to continue to rave about her photographer... except for when her photographer is Paula Player. Paula's team are true professionals and so much fun to work with. As a Corporate Event Planner in the area, I am able to incorporate Paula's creativity and eye for photography into many other event settings. From weddings to corporate special events to headshots to everything!!!... Paula is wonderful to work with and one-of-a-kind getting all the shots that capture the beauty of the moment through each detail and emotion. Paula Player Photography is AWESOME. Paula did our engagement pictures, bridal portrait, and wedding day photography. I am so thrilled that we chose Paula Player Photography for our April 2015 wedding! Paula is so talented and her work is absolutely beautiful! She is wonderful to work with, and knows how to make you feel both relaxed and confident in front of the camera. Pablo also came for my bridal photos and wedding day- he does an amazing job as well and he is so much fun to work with, too! After my bridal session, my parents were so impressed with Paula and Pablo's attention to lighting and details and their level of professionalism and expertise that my father said that their photography is "worth every penny"! I loved my bridals so much, I couldn't choose just one to display at the wedding- so I actually selected three portraits! Paula and Pablo were fantastic on our wedding day and they got pictures of every important moment and more! They captured our special day so beautifully and our bridal party had so much fun with them! My new husband was even so impressed after seeing our wedding photos that he decided he wanted to do another photo shoot! So we did a fun, relaxed, post-wedding photo shoot and even included our two fur-babies in some pictures! Paula worked her magic and actually got both puppies to look at the camera! Paula did and amazing job capturing the moments of our wedding that we will look back on and treasure for the rest of our lives. What could I possibly say about Paula that would adequately describe how much I love her and her photography skills? My entire family and bridal party absolutely RAVED about Paula and her brother Pablo after our wedding! Mu now-husband and I each had 12 attendants (I know...) and Paula handled our crazy crew effortlessly. She made my then-fiance and I so comfortable at our engagement pictures, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her for my bridal portraits (which I never thought I could enjoy!). Her prices are MORE than reasonable (no one believes me when I tell them what we paid) and she delivered more than I could have ever dreamed of! The second we have a baby (in a few years) she is taking newborn shots too, if I have anything to say about it ;) We love you, Paula!

Where, oh where do I start? I am obsessed with Paula and her work. We had the most fun during my bridal shoot and during the wedding. My bridal shoot pictures are so stunning I can't wait to see the finished product for the wedding. Paula is super energetic, friendly, and welcoming - I felt at ease immediately and that's especially important for bridal photos (to make you look natural) and wedding photos (when you might be nervous!). She and her brother Pablo are absolutely fantastic. Do yourself a favor and book either of them (or both!), you will be so pleased.

I chose Paula Player Photography to capture our wedding day. I chose her mainly because her packages offered the best value for the money and her work was beautiful. When I first reached out to her, she was happy to provide log-in info so I could view full previews of her past weddings. Planning a wedding is obviously stressful, but she was available and organized and left me with no doubt that she would keep us on track that day. Her turn-around time was much faster than I anticipated. Our wedding book that was included in my package turned out beautifully. I also appreciated the fact that she kept me informed on status almost daily after my wedding, she never left me wondering! I would recommend her 10 times over!

Paula was all around great to work with; not only were the pictures amazing but she was patient and fun while taking pictures which made a big difference since a) my husband hates getting his picture taken and b) we had a very large wedding party so getting them organized was tough. I would definitely recommend Paula to anyone getting married!

Paula and her team were amazing! She is wonderful with catching the right light, background, and overall directing of families for the event. She not only is wonderful with the photos, but adds a personal touch. She became a bit of a hairdresser for me and pinned stray hairs back before the photo shoot :) Really fun gal to work with and very much appreciated her hard work!

Pablo and Paula's extra effort was very obvious and it felt great to feel important. I shared some ideas and themes with them and Pablo captured them beautifully, in addition to so many beautiful ideas I never could have thought of. His photos were a perfect combination of the concepts I proposed and his own professional and artistic excellence! Paula exceeded our expectations of what a wedding photographer could be. From the engagement photos to the actual day of the wedding, Paula was so much fun to work with and such a pleasure to get to know. We felt so comfortable with her immediately and our photos are incredible. She even put some up at the reception on her computer for guests to see, which was such a fun treat!
