Tasty and Cute

This review may sound bias (I know the baker and family). But, Pat is phenomenal, she is extremely talented at what she does. Her cakes never fail in how they look, taste, or how she prices them. My husband never had it until we did tasting there. Now that he has, it is the only place he wants cake from. We drive from Belleville all the way to her bakery just to have their daily cupcakes. It is worth the trip, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

From the first call to the end process of receiving my cake Patty and her team were very professional. At our cake tasting Patty took her time to explain what she offers and draws out a plan of exactly what your cake is to look like. The cake is was very good and pretty. Everyone at our reception loved the cake. I truly recommend her services. Also, the different flavor cupcakes are the best!!

Patty Cakes was wonderful! We first met them at a bridal show so I called to schedule a tasting with them (because I loved the Amaretto cake I tried at the show). We got a time so myself, fiance and mom went. They give you slices of cake of their most popular, but if you have others you want to try request ahead of time, as well as samples of all the fillings so you can mix and match and try as you wish. Everything was excellent. Then we had an idea what we wanted it to look like and combined it with the look of a sample they had on display in the shop. We got a 4-tier cake and had each layer as a different cake and filling. They were great to work with and followed up with you before the event to make sure everything was good. They travelled from Highland to Soulard for us for a reasonable fee and it looked marvelous! We also had a lot of compliments on the cake itself. They were very reasonable price wise and totally worth it. The only down side is I was so caught up that night I never got to have a piece myself!

If you are considering Patty Cakes, look no further!! Schedule a tasting and you will see for yourself; Pat and her team are incredible! She worked so hard to help us make our vision come to life and was so responsive to our messages and wants. Our guests raved about our cake throughout the night. We got white with white icing and amaretto with raspberry filling (my favorite!). The price for the customization, care, and friendliness you get at Patty Cakes cannot be matched anywhere else (that we looked) near St. Louis.

From the initial sit down wTo the final delivery Patty Cakes went above and beyond. She listened to my every request and even gave me her professional opinion when asked. My cake turned out beautiful and tasted fantastic. We bought 20% more than needed because we wanted to have some left overs. No such luck, everyone raved how great the cake was and there wasn't a single piece left! Thank you Patty-Cakes!

Leah was great to work with throughout the whole process and made sure we got everything we wanted for our wedding cake. It turned out absolutely beautiful and of course it tasted great too! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to do their wedding cake or even other events.

Patty Cakes definitely cares about their customers and treats you like you are family. Sitting through the consultation was comfortable and relaxed with zero pressure. While looking through ideas that we saw on the internet they aren't afraid of going outside the box and trying something new! Absolutely everyone at the reception was blown away by the cake! It was designed to look like a record player and most people thought it was real. It not only looked great, but tasted great. I would definitely recommend doing going with Patty Cakes.

Patty Cakes made my wedding cake three weeks before my wedding after my other cake vendor fell through. I am so glad I choose them. They were easy to work with, delivered to my venue which was over an hour away from their shop, and made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake. I chose four flavors with different fillings, and they were all moist and tasty. We didn't even have any leftover because everyone ate it up!

Patty Cakes was one of my first vendors booked after I tried their cake at a bridal show. I am a certified chocoholic and when her french vanilla/strawberries & cream cake won me over I knew I had to have it! Their cake is amazing, they go over every detail with you and made my dream cake a reality! I ordered enough cake to have about 10 servings more than guests and only came home with one slice! They couldn't cut it fast enough and it was gone in minutes!

We loved the cake and had lots of out of town family comment on the taste and decorations. I had hoped to use the leftover to supplement lunch on the Sunday after the wedding. It was gone! Even the topper. That was an error on the waite staff. Delivered on time and exactly what we expected. No disappointments.

have an idea of the kind of cake you want....shape, colors, cake topper, how many guests you will have. it will make picking the cake more enjoyable, there are a lot of options!

They were wonderful. Traveled to accommodate where my reception was and the cake was phenomenal and tasted wonderful. We got many compliments on the way it looked and tasted. They have cupcakes now and those are just as wonderful!

I love Pattycakes. My girls parties are hits with these case. Anything I ask they can bring it to life. The cakes looks fantastic and are tasty. I drive from stl to highland 40min ride there and back and the cakes always wow my guests. Two years strong with Pattycakes!!!!!!

We got our wedding cake from Patty-Cakes and it was amazing to say the least!!
We had tasting at 6 different places in the St. Louis area, and they are by far the most professional. The shop is clean, the staff is dressed professionally with chefs uniforms, and the service is great! From the minute you walk in the door to taste, until your cake is delivered, it is like you are the only one they are working for! The prices are the best in the area! We LOVED our cake, and will never go anywhere else! Most of our friends have gotten their cakes at Patty-Cakes, and everyone has been more than pleased!!

Our cake was AMAZING!! It literally, was a castle, as Cinderella was the theme of the wedding. Patty did an unbelievable job...it was like nothing I had ever seen in my life! Also, her cake tasted SO good and she has SO many flavors and fillings to choose from. It was fabulous. People are STILL talking about the cake!

Patty and her crew are amazing! Very flexible with how I wanted the cake to look, and very helpful with the advice on how to make it different from the picture in the magazine. On the day of the wedding, they delivered the cake and realized that I didn't order any flowers for the cake to be decorated with, but no problem...they had some spare fresh flowers and baby's breath from another wedding cake, and they decorated it beautifully! Would always recommend.

My wife's best friend ordered a cake from Patty-Cakes for her wedding and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. So when it was our turn, we immediately booked a tasting to try out this "delicious" cake. We decided ahead of time what flavors we wanted to try and they were more than accommodating with our request. From the first bite it was an explosion of ecstasy. We took our sweet time trying each different piece. I was a very hard decision on what we wanted so we ended up with 3 different flavors and and 3 different fillers. It was delivered on time and looked beautiful. Everyone loved it and I am excited to eat the piece we are saving for our anniversary. The only issue we had is that the ribbon that was on the cake was not the same color as the ribbon we dropped off which was weird. One easy fix to this is to maybe ask them to text or email you a picture of the cake ahead of time so you know everything is in order. But the long and the short of it is that I would definitely recommend Patty-Cakes to anyone within the area of their delivery!

Patty Cakes was a great option for my wedding. After cake tasting and selecting the design of the cake I never even had to think about the cake again. The cake was set-up at the reception well ahead of schedule and looked flawless. It also tasted great!

We got SO many compliments on our wedding cake. It tasted amazing, it looked beautiful, and we were even approached about having our cake featured in a wedding magazine. Patty was nice to work with, a little cold, but she is a busy lady so it's understandable.

Our cake was beautiful. It seemed smaller that the one we saw at our initial consultation. It tasted great. I had a saying written on the front of the cake, it was one word different than the one I had said to use, but it still worked well.

We looked and looked for the perfect wedding cake. We ended up calling Patty Cakes and setting up and appointment to look at their selection. we used our wedding colors in the cake and they made it exactlly how we asked. Great services.

Patty Cakes is a great place to buy your cake. We looked around for prices and taste; we selected Patty Cakes because of the value. They worked with us and designed a cake that was beautiful. A number of our guest commented on how wonderful the cake tasted. We had some leftovers so I put it in the freezer the day after the wedding. I have tasted it even after it has been in the freezer for a week and it is still good. We have packed away the top layer for our 1 year anniversary...well see how it tastes then :)

50th Anniversary Cake

Cake was beautiful, but was crumbly and dry. Fondant icing was like concrete and tasteless. Very disappointed.Ruffles on sides were so pretty, but cracked and was really hard to serve. No one ate icing.

They are pretty expensive for being in a small town. They are very proud of their work though! I've seen some good stuff but just because you see something you like that they've already done, don't expect them to duplicate it. You'll do best if you have an imagination. I can't imagine there is anything they can't do! They will definitely make you a cake you'll never forget (or your guests)!!

I had heard good things about Patty Cakes from friends and family, and I was expecting a great cake. I found my dream cake on Martha Stewart's website, and printed pictures. It was a very simple cake - three layers, all white. The beauty of the cake was the flowers that would be on top, but that would be taken care of by the florist. There were no intricate details at all. We purchased three small sample cakes and were impressed by the flavors. We decided each layer would be a different flavor with a different filling. We met on three separate occasions to discuss the cake, and it seemed that all would go according to plan. I cannot even explain how disappointed I was when I saw my cake. It looked amateur, the icing was crusty and when it was sliced we found out that none of the fillings that we had paid for were included. I could not believe that this was the cake we had previously discussed. Afterward, we found out that the owner was out of town, and someone else was left in charge of the cake, and apparently they were not well prepped on what to do. We were disappointed that we were not told the owner would not be doing the cake, as we were led to believe she would be making the cake for the wedding. They were easy to book, however, when we met with them they always appeared to be distracted and uninterested. They did give us a small refund for not including the fillings, but it in no way made up for the appearance of the cake.
