So great to work with and beautiful finished product!

Patty was such a joy to work with. She was very communicative, flexible on scheduling, provided great tips/advice on the whole process, and best of all did such an amazing job on all of our hair. Would 10/10 recommend Patty!

Beautiful and lasting styles for all; fantastic!

Patty was super accommodating, highly responsive, good value, timely, cheerful. Really couldn't have wanted more. She did two different styles for the bride for two separate events, both absolutely gorgeous, and suited to her; all the bridesmaids looked fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend!

A total delight to work with! I enlisted Patty’s hair styling services for my wedding in August 2022 on the recommendation of my makeup artist. Patty’s kind and calm demeanor put me completely at ease from the hair trial to the wedding day. When I adjusted my hair style vision slightly on the morning of the wedding, Patty took it completely in stride and nailed the style I hoped for. She deftly handled everyone’s styling whims and helped to make the getting-ready process as relaxed as possible. Best of all, my hair still looked amazing the next morning for the post wedding brunch - couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Cannot Recommend Patty Enough!

Patty was THE BEST choice for my wedding day hair!! My schedule leading up to the wedding was packed with work, and Patty and her team were extremely flexible with scheduling my trial and preparing me for my big day. For my trial I showed up with a single inspo photo, which Patty was able to replicate perfectly in under an hour. She did it again on my wedding day, and helped all of my bridesmaids look and feel their best as well! Most importantly, her energy was calm, fun, and professional...she was a joy to work with throughout my entire wedding process and I highly highly recommend her to any Vermont (and New England) brides :D

Flexible & Professional

My partner and I decided to elope after getting engaged last fall. It was semi-planned, and I decided I wanted to have my hair done a couple weeks before the date. The last time I curled my hair it took me 2 hours because sometimes my hair just doesn’t want to work with you. Thankfully MakeMeFab had availability on my date for on-site styling. Lilly met me at my room and was able to give me a beautiful half-up/half-down look with my flower crown; she was friendly and kind to boot!

Willingness to Work With You

Patty was wonderful to work with. My wedding was a bit odd, it had a very small wedding party and was on a Tuesday. Both of these were turn-offs for other vendors but Patty was willing to flex so that I could have the wedding I wanted!

Patty is Magic!

I am so happy that I got to work with Patty for our wedding! I had done a lot of research on different hair stylists in the surrounding area, and from the moment I met Patty I knew I had made the right decision. Not only is she a fantastic stylist, but she is also such a kind person with such a great energy, and that was really wonderful to have around on the morning of the wedding when everyone is a little nervous and high stress! I went from having one look, to changing my mind completely and adding in hair extensions, and she rolled through all of my crazy changes with such patience and always made me feel comfortable with voicing my thoughts and opinions. Everyone’s hair looked beautiful on the wedding day, and it all looked styled and stayed in place without having the look of too much hair spray or bobby pins. Patty really works some kind of magic on hair, and I am so thankful that she was part of our big day!

Lovely wedding hair!

Not only is Patty an incredibly talented stylist, she’s lovely to be around—a wonderful presence to have in your bridal suite as you prepare for your big day. Patty styled 7 girls total for my wedding, and she was professional, kept to our schedule, gave everyone looks they loved, and stayed to make sure everyone’s hair was touched up right before photos. When inclement weather and power outages almost got in the way of the trial we had scheduled, Patty was super flexible and drove out of her way to do my trial in my makeup artist’s home studio so that I wouldn’t have to make another trip to VT just for my hair trial. Very happy with my decision to work with Patty, and loved having her as a part of our special day!

Amazing Wedding Hair!

I recently got married in Manchester, VT and was looking for a local hair stylist. I feel so fortunate to have found Patty and cannot recommend her enough! Patty did such a great job with not just my hair, but also my mother's, mother-in-law's, and my five bridesmaids'. She is personable, professional, and very talented. Patty also has a lovely, calm presence that was much appreciated the morning of my wedding.

Wonderful!

Patty was amazing the day of, she and the 2nd stylist, Liz both were able to get 9 bridesmaids and myself done earlier than expected. Liz even had time to help my mom just spruce up her short hair quickly.

I didn't do a trial with Patty because I live in another state however as soon as I showed Patty some pictures and told her what I do and don't like, she ran with it and the results were perfect!

All the girls looked stunning and were happy with how there hair looked. And happy to report we all looked the same at the end of a long night of dancing!!

Great experience!

Patty was an absolute pleasure to work with! I was planning my wedding from out of state and Patty worked with me to schedule my preview on a weekend when I would be in town. She was so organized and did a great job creating a schedule for my bridal party and everyone was so happy with her hair. I would recommend Patty to anyone getting married in Manchester or nearby!

Would 100% recommend for any event!

Patty was so easy to work with- she took care during our trial to make sure we arrived at my ideal wedding day look. She was patient and extremely professional listening to what I wanted (as terrible as I was at explaining my dream look, Patty knew exactly what I meant and what I was hoping for- she was able to decipher what I wanted through two dozen photos of bridal buns all with the slightest differences that an untrained eye would never pick up on). The day of our wedding Patty exceeded all expectations- she arrived, was set up, and underway styling even before (I) the bride was up- a testament to the fact that once you decide to hire Patty and decide on a start time you can rest assured your job is done and she handles everything. My bridal party ran the gamut in terms of hair types and desired looks and Patty nailed each one. Patty was a calming source the day of, working meticulously and swiftly. She finished well ahead of schedule and stuck around to add flowers to some of the girls hair (an afterthought for some of my bridesmaids), set hairs that went astray, and make other final adjustments. It felt like Patty was a member of our wedding party by the end of the morning and she was by far one of the best vendors we worked with. If you want your dream wedding hair and enjoy working with someone who is very responsive, professional, and a calming source during what can be a somewhat stressful time- look no further than Patty! I would 100% recommended hiring her for any event!

Patty is Absolutely Amazing!

Patty was absolutely amazing to work with. She is a true professional, takes direction and feedback well, and works wonders with all hair types. She did the hair styles for me, my sisters, mother, and mother-in-law on my wedding day and everyone looked amazing. I have thin hair to begin with, so it was important for me to have a hair stylist that could work with different hair types and who could also ensure my hair would stay secure during my outdoor ceremony and through the night at the reception. Patty made all of that come true and I was thrilled with the way everything turned out. I could not have asked for a better hair stylist! Highly recommend!!

Patty's an INCREDIBLE stylist - Book Now!!!

Patty did such an amazing job on my, my bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law's hair. Living in NYC and planning a VT wedding was stressful. I had several hair trials with other vendors who did not live up to my wedding day hair expectations. I finally found Patty and she was everything and more i hoped for in a hair stylist! Patty listened and executed the style exactly how i wanted it. She was on time, professional, and a pleasure to hang out with for the 6 hours of prep time for me and our 10 other attendees. I can not say enough positive things about my experience with her, without Patty I would have never felt as comfortable or glamorous on my wedding day!

Take a seat, humidity!

Patty was amazing! She styled hair at my wedding for me, my three bridesmaids, two flower girls, my mom, and my new mother-in-law. She worked with many different hair types and textures to create looks that made us all feel beautiful. Patty was receptive to everyone's input while still sharing her professional opinions, and was extremely flexible in making sure everyone was happy with their hairstyles. My wedding day was extremely humid, and it even ended up pouring rain later in the afternoon. Despite all the crazy weather, my hairstyle continued to hold well into a sweaty night of dancing and festivities. I can't recommend Patty enough!

Patty is Great!

Patty is so easy to work with. She was so receptive to ideas and details during the trial process for my hair for the wedding and I was confident from the point that I booked her on that my hair was going to be better than I could imagine. She was professional and relaxed on the day of the wedding. My bridesmaid who had been in a few weddings prior to mine said she had never been happier with her hair. Patty even came to the rescue trimming and essentially doing a trial with my husband’s hair the day before the wedding. It’s clear that Patty loves her job and is dedicated to making you feel like you on your wedding day while making your hair stunning. She produces gorgeous hair styling and is a pleasure to work with.

Awesome hairstylist

Patty is a fantastic hairstylist. She did a variety of hairstyles on our wedding party - half updos, blowouts and updos, and they came out awesome. On top of that, she is very quick, calm, and punctual. She also did amazing in the preview - letting me try a number of different styles until it felt right. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I met Patty! My hair trial went really well - she really listened to me and understood what I was looking for. The first professional hair style I actually liked!

I have very curly hair that can be difficult to style nevermind tame. Patty was able to not only give me a hair style that I loved but it stayed all night and didn't get frizzy! The best part was that I still looked like myself with my hair styled. Typically hair stylists try to change my hair to be straighter but Patty embraced my curls and made them a enhanced look. All my bridesmaids, MoG and MOB all looked great and loved their experience as well.

The Best Hairstylist

I cannot say enough nice things about Patty. I feel so fortunate that I got the chance to work with her. She is easy to talk to and is incredibly talented. After showing her photos of what style I was aiming for and what styles I definitely did not like, she was able to create the perfect wedding hairstyle for me. We tried two hairstyles during the trial, both of which were gorgeous so it was hard to choose!

On the day of, she and her assistant, Liz, did a fantastic job catering to each person's desires. There were a lot of different hairstyle requests and they delivered on all fronts. One of my bridesmaid's had an undercut and they were able to work with her to give her the hairstyle she wanted (and she looked like a rockstar).

Bottom line: Patty is fantastic. She can do any hairstyle and she will make you feel calm and collected on your wedding day!

Everything was Great!

Patty was super responsive from the very beginning! She was also very receptive to tweaking my hairstyle from the trial to the wedding day. Everyone LOVED their hair and all styles stayed "put" throughout the day and late into the night. Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend Patty!

Patty is amazing and she is excellent at what she does! I decided a few weeks before the wedding that I wanted a different style than what we had previously decided on (at my trail). Patty was SO flexible and gave me exactly what I was looking for. She is so sweet, easy to talk to, professional and super quick! Patty is incredible! I walked into my getting ready house to see half of my bridesmaids already with impeccable hair that captured what they each wanted themselves and also captured the feel of my relaxed outdoor wedding. As for my hair, Patty was absolutely perfect. She took time to build the exact bun I wanted and made it work with my two looks--a veil and a flower crown. It stayed in place all night and the complements on how great it looked never stopped! Thank you, Patty!

I can't say enough great things about Patty. From start to finish, she was very professional and easy to work with. A few months after signing the contract, we were one person down. She was very understanding and was kind enough to let us modify the contract. Going into the hair trial, I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do but did not have a set vision. Patty was very patient and after looking at some photos I found on Pinterest and some trial and error, she knew exactly what to do and we landed on a beautiful up-do. I also decided instead of doing a veil, I was going to do a hair piece. I am rather indecisive and after finding several I liked, I emailed them over to her and she spent time helping me choose one, which was totally above and beyond her call of duty. Fast forward to the wedding. Patty was such a pleasure to have in the bridesmaid suite. She has a very relaxed and calming presence about her which helped put my mind at ease, as well as the other ladies. She did such an amazing job with everyone's hair - they all looked beautiful and received compliments left and right. One of my bridesmaids told Patty she wanted her to channel Jennifer Lawrence, and Patty did not step down from the challenge and succeeded in doing just that. My mom and MIL were hesitant about having their hair done (both have very curly hair), and could not stop gushing about how much they loved what Patty had done (my mom's been known to wash her hair out after having it professionally done, so this speaks volumes)! My only gripe is that she can't be my regular hair dresser as I live out in Boston. She is amazing, look no further!

Patty was a big part of our wedding weekend! She did hair for the bride, her mom and three sisters for the Friday rehearsal dinner, and then the full bridal party for the Saturday wedding. She is extremely talented and very responsive to individual taste and ideas. She did blow-outs, partial and full up-do’s, added hair extensions and curls. She works quickly but effectively and basically never took a break for 5 hours! She also has a lovely personality and is youthful and fun to be with. I recommend her highly!

Patty did an amazing job at my december wedding. She kept everyone on schedule and brought in the help she needed so that no-one needed to stress. Patty did a fantastic job with my hair and was so easy to work with. Patty was wonderful!! It was just me as the bride getting my hair done for my wedding, and she was able to accommodate me on the day of the wedding in her studio. Before the wedding, she took the time to do two different hair trials with me to make sure things were exactly how I wanted them, which I really appreciated. I was traveling from a few states away to be in VT, and Patty was always flexible and communicated well. The day of, I went to her salon with my maid of honor, was super relaxed, and she made me look fantastic!! My hair was ready to go at 2pm and it held up and looked fabulous until I went to bed at midnight. Patty, thank you SO MUCH for working with me and making me feel so beautiful on an important day. I would recommend her to anyone needing hair services in the Manchester, VT area!

Patricia is the best! I had very high expectations coming from NYC to VT for my wedding. My hair was certainly my biggest wedding-day concern. She did wonders with my hair -- despite the fact that I added in clip-in extensions and changed my preview style up quite a bit at the near-last minute. Patricia was also happy to do my hair for my rehearsal dinner in her studio and even squeezed my sister in last minute. I loved my hair on both evenings, and never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day! On top of everything, she's hilarious and a pleasure to talk to! Thank you for your spectacular service. Patty was amazing to work with. Not only is she a highly skilled hair professional, but she is also just a great person. For me, that made my wedding day experience that much better! Patty made my wedding morning an absolute delight! Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, she was always in communication with me and checking in as needed. I live in Califonia, so we were unable to schedule a hair trial, but Patty paid extra attention to understand what I was looking for for my wedding day. The morning of, she was on time, flexible with our hectic schedule, and just super fun to be around. Patty Basset was such a joy to work with leading up to and on my wedding day. She was so laid back and easy to talk to while also being extremely organized and on top of the details. I always felt at ease. She arrived early to set up and kept us on pace. We finished early even though there were 10 people who needed their hair done. When I was booking vendors I knew I needed a reasonable price, flexibility, and responsiveness and Patty hit the mark across the board. My favourite part about working with Patty was that she left NOTHING to chance - she checked in regularly to make sure I had sent her all the details she needed (such as idea photos and details about by girls' hair), she accommodated a late hair trial during wedding season, and confirmed everything. Looking back, as a bride, this is the most important thing for a vendor to do. I had 10 million other things going through my head and to know that Patty was taking total control of her piece of our wedding puzzle was so comforting and, I believe, the reason we were ultimately so happy with her services. When I did my hair trial we tried out my ideas and Patty took notes on what we liked and didn't like so that we could make improvements on the big day. My mother-in-law said that it was the best professional up-do she had ever had and even took pictures at the end of the night to send me saying "can you believe it still looks so great?!". All of my bridesmaids looks were personalised to their hair and style but still cohesive (we had a whimsical, romantic look - lots of loose curls with the updos). I truly felt like a princess on my weddings day.. my look came together perfectly and I can't thank Patty enough for her part in that. We would highly recommend Patty to any bride looking for a talented, friendly, and thoughtful hair stylist.

Patty and her assistant Liz both were absolutely amazing for our wedding day. My 8 bridesmaids, my mother, and Jay's mother (grooms mom) all got their hair done the day of the wedding and the entire process was relaxed and seamless. Oh! I got my hair done too, and it came out absolutely beautiful, I couldn't have loved it more. Patty is understanding, calm, and listened to exactly what I was hoping for. Patty implemented the beautiful flower hair piece made by Cara Boshart from Flowers by Cara in Vermont into my hair style having only seen the piece seconds before I was up for my hair to be done. She and Liz were amazing people to share the bridal suite with as we ate, laughed, danced, and got ready for the wedding. Patty was kind, talented, timely, and extremely professional. I cannot praise Patty enough!!! Not only were myself and my bridal party thrilled with the work she did on our hair, but she was also such a pleasure to work with. For my hair trial I gave Patty a ball-park idea of what I wanted to do for my wedding day and she styled my hair above and beyond my expectations. I though it could not get any more beautiful than my trial but she actually perfected what we did for the wedding day. Patty was recommended by my wedding coordinator and I'm so glad I chose her!! She was professional and responsive from my first point of contact to the wedding day. I did a trial with Patty but on the day of the wedding I ended up using extensions and doing a different hairstyle (which came out awesome and was no problem at all!). Patty did an amazing job. Not only did I love my hair, but i loved how smoothly getting ready went. Patty did my hair, my maid of honor's hair, my flower girls and my mom's hair. Patty was absolutely amazing! Patty took the time to meet with me three times before my big day. She also did two hair trials for me as I decided after the first one to change my mind on what exactly I wanted/liked. She was so understanding of this and made me feel so comfortable and confident. Day of, Patty was again so calm and understanding of us girls when we would change our minds or prefer a slightly different look. If you want a great wedding, you must, first and foremost, work with great people. Patty has the perfect combination of easy going personality and smashing hairstyling skills. She worked with me during the hair trial to get exactly the look that worked best for my hair accessories and style of dress. Being from Boston finding a hair stylist was one of the most stressful parts of planning a destination wedding. After going to a few trials and stirking out I found Patty. Patty is amazing. She helped calm my mind and her skill was apparent from the trial. Patty was able to accomodate my large bridal party by bringing Liz who was also fantastic. Patty Bassett made my day so special. She was able to come to me and spent the whole morning making me feel like the bride I have dreamed about since I was a little girl. Patty and Paige did an amazing job doing hair for my wedding. Patty worked with me on every detail along the way. We also did a trial in advance. By the time my wedding day arrived I was stress-free because all factors had been considered. Patty ended up running AHEAD of schedule which gave my bridesmaids and me some extra time for photos. I have never heard of someone running ahead of schedule and I was so happy! The hairstyles came out gorgeous on everyone. I was also very happy that Patty and Paige came on site to my venue even though it was an hour away for them. I cannot say enough great things about Patty! Book her and you won't regret it!!

Patty was AMAZING on my wedding day. She brought another hair dresser with her and they both did a fantastic job. I had 7 bridesmaids all wanting a little something different and each design was flawless. Patty listened to what I wanted and was extremely creative and thoughtful. No one ever talks about how stressful the morning of your wedding is and the one time I felt stress relief was sitting in the chair and talking with Patty and having her do my hair. She was calm and offered great advice! I would recommend her to ANYONE having their wedding in the Manchester, VT area. Also for the record I previously had my hair booked at the Green Door Spa and they were rude and unresponsive and cancelled them last minute- Patty was a breath of fresh air.

Patty was wonderful to work with and my hair looked beautiful. I came in from out of state for my trial plus Patty tried a few extra looks on her mannequin for me. In addition to being incredibly skilled and fast, she has the most pleasant and calming demeanor. Her pricing was transparent, and she was accommodating in on setting up a trial appointment for me as I was coming in from out of state. She is one of the local vendors everyone in the area knows and loves to work with. That’s real what you want on your wedding day - a team of people working with you that all respect each other and know how to work together.

Patty was great to work with! She helped translate what I was looking for into reality during our trial session. She was super flexible as I added in a few more people closer to the date and on the day of, she was stellar. She had an organized timeline, but was still flexible. She was also really great with my little flower girls - they all loved getting their hair done and she was so sweet and patient with them! I highly recommend using Patty for any wedding or event!

I am so glad that I booked Patty to do my hair for my wedding. My hair was gorgeous, and I got so many compliments on it! Patty is extremely warm and friendly. She really put me at ease, both when I came for my trial and during the actual wedding prep. She was also was super responsive, accommodating, and flexible throughout the whole process. When my mom was initially unhappy with how her hair turned out, Patty was really nice about it and worked with my mom to make sure that it was the way she wanted it and was happy.

Lovely Experience with Patty

Patty was wonderful to work with- keeping on track and role calling as soon as each lady was finished. I came to realize this was a very important trait of our favorite wedding partners- making the day less stressful overall. Prior to leaving, she offered touch ups to make sure all of us were set. The styles lasted all evening through the windy ceremony and dancing. We'd recommend Patty to those getting married at Hildene. Thanks again Patty!

Patty was wonderful! She is attentive, thorough and collaborative. My whole wedding party was happy with their hair. Should I ever be in southern Vermont for a wedding or event, I would definitely contact Patty to do my hair again.

If you want a hair stylist who is down to earth, friendly and extremely good at what she does, book with Patty. She listened to what we all wanted and was able to come through perfectly. She also was super flexible with planning my trial as I was an out-of-state bride. Couldn't be happier with her work!

Patty was great to work with. She was easy going, personable but very professional. She did a fantastic job on my hair for the wedding day as well as the other bridal party members and my little nieces. Highly recommend her!
