Choosing wedding vendors is a tough decision. Choosing Doug and Patken Photographer was probably the best choice we made.
1st and foremost things were done efficiently. When its your big day the last thing you want to do is spend extended time away from your guests to get in all of the shots you need. Doug and his team made sure we got all the shots my wife wanted while minimizing the amount of time we need to get them all done. Doug and team were fun to work with and had us laughing through most of our engagement with them while ensuring we got the absolute best shots imaginable.

My fiance and I just had our engagement shoot with David from Patken this past weekend. It was clear to us very early on that he knew what he was doing; he came with numerous posing ideas for us as well as spots within the selected park that would make for great shots. When we mentioned a pose or two we wanted to include he provided amazing cues to make those poses look amazing and it showed in the photos we got back. Extremely excited to see what shots we get on our wedding day. -

I just got married this past Saturday and used Patken as my photographer, per a recommendation from a close friend whose family is in the business. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Patken, from very first conversations through wedding day. Vinnie and David were our photographers and Mike was our videographer and all were AMAZING. Everything was seamless, especially with both mine and my fiances' big and blended families. Vinnie is an absolute pro at making the whole day go smoothly and making you feel so comfortable through it all. We can't wait to see how our pics and videos turn out! We first reached out to Patken Photography in October 2023 for our elopement photos in Long Island, and from that very first shoot, we knew we had found the right photographers for all our wedding events. They were professional, creative, and genuinely kind, making the entire process so much easier and more enjoyable. They ended up capturing so many important moments for us—our engagement photos in Orlando, my bridal shower in Long Island, our Madhuram Veppu ceremony (a South Indian blessing), and finally, our two-day wedding in Orlando on 11/1/24. Every single event was beautifully photographed, and we’re so thankful we chose them to preserve these memories. Doug, Kevin, and Kenneth were incredible to work with. They struck the perfect balance between directing us for stunning posed photos and blending into the background to catch those natural, candid moments. You could tell they truly cared about capturing the joy, love, and little details that made each event special. We also decided to include their photo booth at our wedding, and it was a huge hit! Our guests had so much fun, and we loved looking through all the photos afterward. It added such a fun, interactive touch to the day, and the quality of the prints was top-notch. What really stood out to us about Patken Photography was how comfortable they made everyone feel. Whether it was just the two of us or a big family group, they created an atmosphere where we could relax and just be ourselves—and it showed in the photos. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Patken Photography! Doug took my parents’ wedding photos 30 years ago, so having him capture my wedding felt incredibly special. From start to finish, Doug and his team were professional, warm, and made the whole experience so enjoyable.

We worked with photographers Vinnie & Kevin. Our videographer was Micheal. These gentlemen were gems. They knew the grounds we secured for pictures and the layout of the venue.

I just got married and Doug's team shot all of my big events - my engagement, my shower, and my wedding! I couldn't be happier with the output ... the photos that we've received have been absolutely beautiful. What I loved most about working with the Patken team is that everything was efficient...my husband and I come from big families / friend groups, and they covered so much ground without dragging out photo sessions so we can get back to what really mattered at our events...celebrating! From our initial booking to getting our photos back, Doug and his team have been incredible to work with and have truly listened to what I like and dislike to be sure the end result was tailored to my taste. I found Doug at a Wedding expo. My big selling point was being able to have a photographer that has done diverse couples/families for weddings. My husband and I never seem to be able to get photos since our skin tones are so different and our wedding was going to have a wide array of skin toes so we needed a person who would be able to handle that. Doug went above and beyond our wildest dreams! While I love having my picture taken my husband is a bit more shy but Doug made it so fun! He is patient, absolutely hilarious, for a lack of better word; perfect.
His attention to detail is absolutely amazing! All of my guests came up and told me how amazing he was and so did my wedding coordinator for my venue. He was able to to both photo and video for us, and hen I say you could see him running around everywhere I mean it!
As a event coordinator myself I found having him onsite truly gave us a peace of mind and we where able really able to enjoy our day. -

Patken photography was such a blessing and was everything we hoped for on our wedding day. Kevin was outstanding and extremely professional. We received so many compliments of Kevin from our guest. Our entire bridal party kept saying that they felt that Kevin was one of the friends. Initially, when my husband and I were looking into photographers for our wedding, we were very overwhelmed. We originally went with a company for our engagement photo shoot that turned out to be horrible and very disappointing. We were very hesitant in selecting a photographer for our wedding because of the horrible experience we had for our engagement photo shoot. I initially found Patkin photography on Instagram and saw the beautiful pictures so I decided to reach out to them. We scheduled a zoom meeting call with Doug and we instantly clicked. my husband and I are very laid-back and we wanted more of a photographer that would focus on candid pictures. We felt so comfortable with the Doug on the phone. He was so relatable and explained everything to us. We didn’t feel left in the dark or felt like there was going to be any surprises at the end. Everything was so transparent and so organized, Doug told us once we got off the phone that we can take our time and contact him with any questions or concerns. Me and my husband got off the zoom phone call and knew right away that we wanted to hire Patken photographer. We call them back within minutes and hired them. Leading up to our wedding day November 5. We received a phone call from Kevin to discuss the day, and what pictures would be important to us, and how things would be laid out. We clicked so well with Kevin on the phone and was so excited to meet him on the day of the wedding. Kevin was absolutely outstanding. He knew exactly when to pull in and put people into photos to make things so comfortable especially with family members who are distant, but we knew we wanted them in the photo for memories. when we arrived at our venue, Kevin was there to take quick photos with us, and knew that we wanted to get the party started. Looking at my photos brings me and my husband so much happiness and we were so thankful to have Kevin there on our day to take our pictures. Kevin made everything so smooth and effortless. I highly recommend Patken photographer you for your wedding. They are outstanding and will meet your expectations. We also went with the photo booth kiosk, which was amazing and I highly recommend hiring the Photo Booth as well. -

Words cannot express just how good Patken Photography is. From start to finish, the process with them was seamless and so easy. Do NOT go anywhere else.
First, Doug is a fantastic owner. He is easy to talk with, works with you on what you need, makes adjustments as needed, is always open to suggestions and is overall, just one of the kindest men you will meet. Doug treats every customer like they are family.
Cindy is the best. She keeps you posted on when payments are due but doesn't hound you. She is flexible and helps make sure you have what you need. She confirms appointments and double checks everything with a smile on her face the whole time. She is one of the most professional individuals my wife and I have ever come across.
And our photographer, Vinnie? Amazing. He is beyond a pro. Words cannot express how lucky we are to have had him. He is the best. It was like a close family member taking photos. We had two days full of festivities and he was on point the whole time. Always knew what to do, was talking with us the whole time, was placing us in the right spots and just lives his job. In all the right ways. Vinnie is perfect. You cannot find someone who is better than Vinnie, I promise.
The video team is amazing as well. They blend in and are so fun. All three of them make an effort to work side by side with Vinnie and make the experience perfect. They are some of the kindest people you will come across.
Overall, go with Patken. You literally cannot find a better company. You can try but you won't succeed. You will love going with Patken and won't regret a single second of it. -

I feel like we became family with Doug and Kevin (our photographers) by the time our wedding finally came (after multiple delays due to COVID). They worked with us through the reschedules and they definitely delivered and captured some amazing photos. I don’t have words to express how pleased we are with them, but I think the attached photos speak for themselves. They even captured so many great spontaneous moments during our event. We got our questions answered quickly, even after office hours sometimes. Our photos were delivered in 3 weeks from our wedding date! They were professional, timely, fun (which helps keep your energy up and it reflects in your photos), and very efficient at getting through the family photos during our wedding events. My photographer was Sabrina. She really listened to my wants and tried to replicate all the inspirational pictures that I sent. She asked me who I wanted pictures with and came prepared with a list the day of. Her shots were really good and so were her edits! She also kept me on track with my timetable. She provided tips from her experiences and tried her best to capture all our beautiful moments while keeping the energy light.
Our videographer was Michael who worked at record speed. He gave us our video within 2 days of the wedding and was very flexible when we made requests. He was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend extending your contract to keep them until the absolute ending of the night. I booked them until 30 minutes before the night ended.
My engagement shoot was shot by Beatrice. Due to Covid, it was done outside of Patken studio which was just a patch of grass and trees. I must admit I’m very surprised at how beautiful they came out.
Doug (the owner) also deserves a medal for his record speed in answering emails. He was hilarious in person, but we can tell he does not play with his work! -

Beyond Any Expectation
Words can't begin to express how happy we are with how Patken Photographer handled our wedding, but I will give it a go.
We had the fortune of meeting Doug at a wedding expo. Immediately, we were impressed with his track record and congeniality, and knew we could trust him with capturing our day. This was no small feat as we both are working students with a set budget who started planning nearly a year-and-a-half in advance so there was no shortage of research and vetting when it came to selecting our vendors. Doug was, and is, that good because we did not even make it out the door before deciding that he was our photographer.
Doug was always punctual, and he and his team always reachable. On the wedding day, he wasn't just any old vendor (and we had several great vendors). It was like having your favorite uncle from New York taking the pictures, and I couldn't help but smile as he interacted with my family. The pictures came in quick, and they were wonderful!
I strongly recommend Doug and Patken Photographer to anyone looking for photography, and I know he will be the first person I call in the future the next time I'm looking to capture valued memories. -

We just received our high def edited final photos from Doug and we are obsessed. You can tell after spending 5 minutes with him that he is a complete professional; he knows what looks good and how to achieve it. He’ll ask you to move around and hold hands in weird spots but TRUST HIM! He included every family member we had and wanted pics with (even ones we forgot, sorry grandma) and they came out amazing. My FIL was in a wheelchair, you can barely tell in the photos. I’ve since posted a couple pics on FB and other socials and have been told by multiple married people that these are the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen. There is a reason why he’s so highly recommended.
Im also a little self conscious about my weight and my teeth. His editing was realistic (didn’t make me look like a supermodel) but made me feel extremely beautiful and confident and he whitened all of our teeth.
I have probably the most laid back, beach bum attitude of anyone and he is a stereotypical NY A-type personality... but we meshed and we achieved amazing results. He’s patient, funny, and just a really good person. We have several veterans in our family and he was truly respectful and honored. I can’t say enough about him.

Doug was our photographer for our wedding and engagement photos. He did such a wonderful job of capturing the emotion of the day, which is very hard to do. Anyone can pose you and make you look pretty. But, to feel the love in the photographs is a great talent. I would definitely recommend Patken Photography for all your special life events!

An unforgettable experience!
My experience with Paken has been absolutely amazing! I initially spoke to Doug in July about my wedding on 10/10/20 and he provided details about the business and the way they work. Sabrina was my photographer for my engagement shoot and wedding, and Mike was my videographer for my wedding. They calmly adjusted to our last minute changes due to COVID and managed to capture every moment of our special day with so much perfection! My family and friends were very impressed with the pictures and videos because they did an outstanding job! I also dealt with Cindy, she helped me set up the engagement shoot and made sure I had everything set up for my big day. Doug, Sabrina, Mike, and Cindy are great to work with, very friendly, and very responsive! Any time I had a question they would respond within an hour, which is very impressive! I am overall very satisfied with them and will be committed to their service for future events! -

My husband and I got engaged back in 2018, and we began planning our 10/10/2020 wedding right away. As the pandemic raged on this year, our plans that were in the works for years had been almost completely turned upside down. Our original wedding photographer offered a refund after informing us that they were no longer 100% comfortable shooting our wedding and that there would need to be cuts to our package - 30 days before the big day! We were scrambling. A family friend recommended Patken and the rest is history! We wish we booked with them sooner! Patken was so reassuring, accommodating, and really put our nerves at ease during such thing times. The flexibility in their packages was super budget friendly and they cut out all the fluff that other companies will try to squeeze from you. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Beatrice for wedding photography and Jimmy for wedding videographer. These people know what they are doing! So terrifically professional, talented, kind, and funny. Their stunning personalities made the day that much more special. My husband and I are just gushing over our wedding video and photos! We cannot wait to use Patken for all of our photography and videography needs in the future!!!! We recommend Patken for you too.

I had a friend who made the mistake in not investing in a good photographer the day of her wedding, and I knew I could not make the same mistake. I went to a wedding show and looked at some of their photos and was chatting up with a girl whose name I believe was Bianca, and she was GREAT. We booked with them right then and there. They were a good price and well worth the money and their pictures showed it! We had Doug as our photographer for our engament session and he was amazing. He was cracking us up, and made it feel like a comfortable environment. We knew then and there we had to have him for our wedding and we did. He had everyone laughing and knew exactly what he was doing, which is what we needed because none of us would have known how to pose or where to stand without him. They are based out of New York which was confusing at first but our Florida wedding had one of the best photographers around. Its gonna take everything in me to not post every single picture from the wedding they came out that beautiful. -

I had many vendors to choose from but Patken stood out in the crowd. They explained everything they could do and explain their prices thoroughly and gave it to me in writing. Amazing experience!
We used Patken for our wedding and had the most incredible experience! Sabrina was with me for the entire day leading up to the ceremony and captured more than I could have imagined. She went above and beyond to make everyone feel very comfortable and even helped carry the train on my dress when moving locations! During the reception, she was able to get beautiful pictures of all of our guests dancing and celebrating while still being very attentive to us. Patken's owner, Doug, is one of the most professional, honest, and down to earth business owners. He's phenomenal to work with and true to his word. Amazing and well worth it!
Steve was amazing! He wasn’t the type to pressure us to do poses that we didn’t like. He allowed us to be us which we loved. I also liked that he met with us before hand to talk about pictures and family dynamic because that was a big thing with my family! I loved working with him and the pictures came out amazing. We can’t wait to select which ones we want! He really did an amazing editing job and took the time to make sure the poses we wanted were included. This will be a day we couldn’t forget! -

Where do I even begin? The entire Patken crew treated my husband and I like family. From the front desk to the photographer and videographer. Kevin was nothing but patient, kind, and enthusiastic. He did an amazing job on our engagement photo shoot. Mike captured all the precious moments on our wedding day. These 2 gentlemen went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly and even followed through with some pictures/poses I came across online that I wanted to have on our day. My husband and I had a fantastic experience working with PATKEN. We worked with Kevin, our photographer, and John, our videographer. Kevin was very meticulous when it came to planning out the day. I wanted pictures at my childhood house, the church, and Sand’ s Point Preserve, and at the Mansion at Oyster Bay. Kevin did everything I asked. Kevin took every combination of people that I wanted to take and took every angle/shot throughout the grounds of Sand’s Point as well as the Mansion of Oyster Bay. He took a good balance of staged pictures and candid shots.He was assertive but profession when it came to moving the family along to go to Sand’s Point right after the church in order for us to have sunset pictures at the Sand’ s Point Preserve. The editing team at PATKEN were great! We literally emailed them back and forth with things to photoshop multiple times until we were happy with the final product. All my pictures came out fabulous, and I would highly recommend using PATKEN for your wedding pictures! -

Beautiful photographs and absolutely amazing photographer
I can’t even begin to say how happy and grateful we are to have booked Patken photography and even more so our photographer Vinnie. He was simply amazing!! He is so personable and made me and my husband feel so comfortable. He send us absolutely gorgeous sneak peek photos less then a week after our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with them. Even before seeing our photos we couldn’t wait to rave about Vinnie because he went above and beyond for me and my husband and our bridal parties the day of our wedding. He was there to help with anything we needed! He was funny, sweet, an amazing photographer and amazing person and I can’t recommend him enough. Not only did he make all the photos painless, he made it fun! If you are on the fence about Patken at all, don’t be! Book them! And pick Vinnie as your photographer!! -

My husband and I used Patken for our wedding photographer and videographer at Bourne Mansion in March and we could not be happier! From the very first meeting, Doug was professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. We spoke with Vinnie (our photographer—who both my sisters used for their wedding, as well!) and Kenny (videographer) prior to the wedding who answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease.. and kept us at ease the day of! They both did an incredible job and got some really great shots – everything from the scenery to all of the ‘staple’ family photos to candids throughout the night. Our video trailer and photos came within a few weeks of the wedding and they made us want to relive the day all over again. Overall, excellent service and great quality at a reasonable price – highly recommend! -

Never a better experience 100% perfect
Since the first time i met the staff at Patkan they have been nothing short of amazing. Initial meeting was so smooth, and meeting with Doug was phenomenal! Not only did he make my husband and i feel comfortable , he was funny and entertaining which is what we were looking for. There was no stiffness in the room. My husband and i were assigned to Vinnie for our photographer and Mike as our videographer , let me tell you i met with vinnie about 28377337 times and e mailed him at 2 am on a regular basis . His poor wife :/ lol vinnie was so responsive and took to everything i said. I sent him every picture i had on Pinterest and he sat with me and my husband and listened to what we wanted. He was so patient and understanding and also funny! Now mike who did our video was amazing he went above and beyond to capture every beautiful moment possible our trailer came to us ASAP, and my husband and i cried our eyes out. I am so happy with choosing Patkan and working with there team. I also have to give a shout out to Mary who i e mailed every day , she was so wonderful and i really am so thankful i went with my gut !!! Thank you guys for making our day so wonderful!!! Thank you to the Doug and his team at Patken Photography. My husband and I had the pleasure to work with this wonderful team for our wedding. Doug was very relatable and realistic. We knew we were hiring him on our first meeting. Vinnay was very patient with us a d working with a bridal team of 0ver 20 can be frustrating but he was very patient and gentle to us. After being referred by my brother as well as our venue, Patken was the first vendor we booked during our wedding planning process. I was beyond impressed with the brilliant photos taken at my brother’s wedding, I knew they were the best vendor for our wedding planning team. We were given Jarred for our special day and let me tell you he is a GEM! He has a brilliant eye for detail, knows when to keep everyone in line (and he did ten-fold on my wedding day) and he kept me at ease during the whole process. Some photographers get in the way during those major moments, not Patken and especially not Jarred, they know when to get those shots and they are spectacular photos to be had. From the moment I met him before my wedding to the day he arrived at Viana, he was on point with everything. He was also amazed how I got everyone done and ready, out of my room, so he can take those special getting ready photos. We were able to cover all the key points for the day without getting interrupted, which we both loved. He also was able to get a ton of photos of my husband when he arrived at Viana, not many can get those speciality photos, but Jarred got them all. And when we got the venue, he was diligent, prompt and kept everyone in line to get every single shot we wanted done in record time. We were determined to make our cocktail hour and he made it happen. He is a perfect photographer and definitely highly recommended. I haven’t gotten my album yet but I can count on every photo being absolutely perfect. Highly recommend Patken photography and it’s entire team. The owner Doug is a sweetheart and always listens to what you need and I can’t say enough positive things about Jarred. I hope work with him again in the future! Request him if you can, you won’t regret it. -

Patken has been absolutely amazing. When we first booked them we sat with Doug. He listened to what we wanted and set up the perfect package for us. After our instudio shoot, we were matched with Steve for photography and a Michael for videography. I recommend you are clear about your thoughts of the studio session as it is really used to match you to the team that would work best for your style.
Steve was AMAZING. He dealt with all the day of chaos including crazy families, bridal party running behind schedule, and the rainy weather forecast. He was quick yet got the great shots we wanted. I gave him a list of “must have” photos and he got them all! After the wedding, I asked for certain pictures to be photoshopped. He exceeded my expectations. I was blown away with what he was able to do (i.e., open all the bridal parties eyes in a picture when most were closed and fix hairs blowing in the window, get rid of unwanted double chins, and edit out background objects).
Michael did an excellent job as well on both our video and trailer.
When I finally got around to finalize our album, the girl I met with was EXTREMELY helpful and patient to say the very least. She sat with me for over an hour to ensure it was all perfect. She even stayed late! It was nice to see that the excellent service continued well past our wedding day. If you’re planning a wedding/ family photo shoot I 10/10 recommend Patken! -

My wife and I were thrilled with our experience with Patken. Doug was always very responsive and helpful, and our engagement photoshoot turned out great. Jessie did an incredible job with the photography for the wedding, capturing every moment we could want and sending us the picture samples in a very quick timeframe. We saw John taping the room and capturing great moments throughout the night as well, and we can't wait to see the finished video and trailer! We are very excited to receive our album and all the beautiful prints that we chose. We would definitely recommend Patken - they gave us the easy and smooth experience that we hoped for and beyond!
