So many compliments on our dessert table!

I couldn't be more happy and impressed about how our dessert table turned out. Even our venue said it was the best table they have ever seen and they have weddings there every weekend 🤩

The best cake ever!

Pastries by design not only professional, accommodating but also make the best tasting fresh cakes. Maria and Alex are the best! Chocolate peanut butter, carrot and they icing are to die for! Great design too!

Alex was so much fun to work with - we had scheduled a last minute tasting (just about 4 weeks before the wedding) because we had been indecisive on our cake. She assisted us right away and gave us her recommendations based on our tastes and wishes for a design. We worked with our florist to coordinate bringing fresh flowers to the reception and her team arranged them beautifully on the cake. The cake was quite possibly the most amazing cake I had ever tasted! Not to mention it was absolutely beautiful. She gladly accommodated our guests who are gluten free, and some who were both gluten and sugar-free with delicious cupcakes. That was something we had a hard time finding elsewhere and we were extremely pleased when she was so happy to assist!

After doing some research into a cake for my wedding, I made an appointment with Alex for a cake tasting for my husband and I. There are SO many different flavors to choose from, both regular and premium flavors. We picked out a handful of combinations we thought would be good and sent them to her. She had everything ready when we got to the appointment and her cakes are out of this world good!!! When we agreed she would be the one and were talking about prices, she was super straight forward with us. We wanted flowers on our cake and she told us up front "I can do the flowers in icing, but it would be cheaper to go through a florist and have real flowers" We wanted ribbon on the cake as well and she told us she could use hers or we could get it from wal mart for like .98 and just drop it off. We also had the option of renting one of her cake stands or using our own. She wasn't trying to nickel and dime us on everything, she was straight forward and after paying so much for everything else in the wedding, we really appreciated someone trying to help us save some money. That was the one of the main reasons we chose her. She also let us change stuff a few days before the wedding. I told her I wanted a cake topper that I received as a gift and she told us it was no problem. I brought the cake stand and topper to the wedding, Alex coordinated with my day of coordinator and florist to get the cake there with everything on it and it was absolutely gorgeous!!!! It looked and tasted better than I could have ever imagined and we are still getting compliments on it 2 months later. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND pasties by design for weddings and everything else!!!

I worked with Alex to make my cake for our wedding on September 3rd. The theme was Beauty and the Beast. As soon as I showed her the cake I wanted to started with ideas on how to make my dream cake, make it tasty, but still affordable! Everyone LOVED the cake and I would absolutely go there again for other events! Thank you Alex for your awesome work!

These ladies did an amazing job on my wedding cake! I ordered 1 month in advance since it was a simple cake. As a former wedding cake maker/decorator I know the time and hard work it takes even for the most simplest cakes and these ladies are spot on! Pricing is right and quality is 100% there. My (now husband) picked up the cake the day prior. They had it perfectly packaged for him to transport easily! I highly recommend using Pastries by Design as your wedding cake one stop shop!

Our wedding cake as gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. Everyone raved about how delicious the cake was. We also order mini apple and pecan tarts which were a hit! Great value for the quality. Alex was a pleasure to work with!

Working with Pastries by Design was a great experience from start to finish. Our tasting was a really fun experience with delicious cakes, icings and fillings to try, and the end result was beautiful. We wanted a half naked cake and various flavors, and they helped us find a compromise to ensure we got the types of cake we wanted without risking the structural integrity of the design we had selected by having a side cake for a certain flavor. We were so happy with how our cake turned out, and our guests loved it!

Pastries By Design created THE most stunning cake for my wedding this past Friday. It was delicious and so beautiful!! I also have a gluten allergy and this bakery catered to it, so my whole cake was gluten free and irresistibly delicious!! I highly recommend this bakery for all your dessert needs and wedding cake!!

Wow! We were so blown over by our cake! Alex worked so hard to understand what we were looking for in our cake design. She nailed it! Our consultation was great and the cake tasting was a blast! The final design was perfect. The cake was delicious! Our guests are still raving about it!

Alex at Pastries by Design is amazing! She and her team made my wedding cake dreams come to life! Every other baker I called turned my ideas down or were outrageously priced. She not only made my cake, she made it better than I had imagined and it was affordable! We had 2 flavors and both were so yummy and moist. We don't live in the area, but every time we come to town, we stop in for cupcakes. Book her and you won't be disappointed!

Pastries by Design made mini cupcakes for my intimate destination wedding. Everyone LOVED them, only wish I had ordered more as we ran out! Alex, the owner, was great to work with. My father and I have Celiac disease, and Alex was able to provide gluten free choices so we could enjoy along with the rest of our guests. There are so many great flavors, but I highly recommend the White Chocolate Raspberry and the Key Lime!

Alex was extremely helpful and responsive to our cake design ideas. She took the time to discuss different styling options during our tasting since we were unsure of what would be best given our wedding size. It was very difficult to narrow down but we ended up with a 4 tier cake with 4 different flavors. The cake turned out absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. We had guests comment on how awesome the cake was. Highly recommended!!!

I asked for a naked cake and sent a picture (just expecting something similar). They got it on point!!!!! It was perfect just like the picture! And it was delicious!!! Super exceeded my expectations!! They were also wonderful to work with, very nice and professional. Definitely recommend!!!

When I went for a tasting I KNEW I just had to use this bakery. I used them for both the grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding cake. We got the "espresso machine" flavor (chocolate cake soaked with espresso and espresso buttercream) for the rehearsal dinner and they did a 2 tier camoflauge Bass Pro Shop cake. The details in the camo, deer, flounder, bass, turkey, and bow and arrow were absolutely amazing. I could not believe it when I saw it. For our wedding cake we got the "Key Lime" flavor (vanilla cake and cream cheese filling with key lime curd). It had white buttercream outside (so smooth and not a flaw in the outside icing), 3 tiers, with silver edible sequins going in a burst design with fresh flowers. It was gorgeous. I could not have imagined anything more perfect. Alex was amazing to work with and so helpful as counts changed. I would recommend this bakery to any bride who wants quality. freshness, detail oriented bakers.

We LOVED how our cake turned out for our beach wedding. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. We were never able to go in for a tasting because we were coming from Chicago but we were AMAZED with how great it tasted. We're both chocoholics so we had the dark chocolate raspberry and death by chocolate. It was ridiculous...we've never had better tasting wedding cake in our lives.

I had my wedding cake and groom's cake made by this bakery and the groom's cake was basically a cake sculpture- all you have to do is look at their gallery to see that they make pieces of art, not just cakes. No only were they beautiful, they were so delicious that there was almost nothing left to take home!!

Everything from Pastries by Design was amazing!

We loved our wedding cake and the grooms cake was so so cool looking! Fortunately, by word of mouth, we found pastries by design early in our wedding planning. I was looking for someone that could do a fully gluten free cake without it tasting dry, grainy, or like cardboard. My florist recommended them, and after the cake tasting, we were blown away by the flavors and the good consistency of GF cake! We had an outdoor wedding and she was really good about warning us that the buttercream frosting (we did not want fondant at all) could potentially melt or the cake could do funny things, but thankfully none of that happened and the integrity and beauty of the cakes remained the entire night until we ate it.

Sandy is awesome to work with and the cakes were so beautiful. I showed her a couple of photos i wanted her to combine for our main wedding cake (hexagon shaped 3 tirer mint and white with edible gold flecks) and she nailed it. I also looked through a couple of her photos and she came up with some ideas for my husbands grooms cake- UF, football, gold and landscape all came together in a super cool cake that she designed. And the flavors-- for the big cake we had carrot with chocolate ganache, dulce de leche, and lemon with lemon curd. For the grooms cake we had death by chocolate-- holy cow!! SO good!! We had so many compliments on how good the cake was..... my husband now sometimes purposely swings by that are of LWR to pick up a cupcake or two. :)

Fortunately, by word of mouth, we found pastries by design. My daughter the bride, lives in Illinois and me being a new resident of Florida was tasked to find a bakery. We were blown away with the "tasting" experience. But we felt we owed it to ourselves to check other vendors......well needless to say, after the second baker, it was a no brainer....we went back to pastries by design. Sandy is awesome to work with, her ideas are great and the cake was so beautiful. The cake flavors were chocolate, lemon and carrot. We had so many compliments on how good the cake was......don't waste your time, go directly to pastries by design you will love them....ps my husband get cupcakes every now and then and enjoy those and the cookies as well.

Pastries by Design did everything I had asked for, for our wedding cake. It looked beautiful. There attention to detail and skill is amazing. Instead of a grooms cake, I surprised my husband with a mini sculpture of our beloved dog on the back of our cake. He looked exactly like our dog and my husband loved it. The cake tastes amazing as well, which is always important. The staff had great communication, which was awesome since we were planning a destination wedding and could not meet with anyone in person prior to the wedding. You can't go wrong with Pastries by Design.

We were so happy with our wedding cake from Pastries By Design. Not only did it look exactly how we envisioned it, but it tasted AMAZING! We chose alternating layers of chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and carrot cake with buttercream frosting. Both were incredible and we had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted!

A friend of mine recommended Pastries by Design to do our wedding cake for our wedding 05/17/14. My fiance and I went there and tasted their cupcakes and decided right then and there we wanted them to do our wedding cake.Everybody at our wedding just raved about our wedding cake.How absolutely DELICIOUS it was!!!! I could not have been happier with the cupcake tower and cake that Pastries by Design made for our wedding. It turned out even prettier than I imagined it would. Even though it was a relatively simple order, it was clear that Lindsey and her staff took special care with every detail and really cared about making sure we got what we wanted. Oh, and not to mention the fact that the cupcakes themselves tasted phenomenal. So delicious -- all the guests were raving about them! Everyone at the bakery was a delight to work with. I can't say enough good things! I'd definitely recommend Pastries by Design to others in the area; they really can't be beat in terms of taste, appearance, or customer service.

Great initial tasting and consultation experience, although difficult to decide on favors because they were all so wonderful! I was able to combine elements I liked of various cakes from their portfolio and add elements of my own to achieve the look I was going for. After the sketch was done and I dropped off my topper, I didn't have to worry about a thing! My cake was delivered on time, topper in place and looked beautiful! A month after the wedding, I'm still getting compliments about how great it tasted. My mom also used Pastries by Design for my shower cupcakes which were amazing also! They have a huge variety of flavors and fillings and will customize anything you could ever want.

I could not have been more pleased with my wedding cake from Pastries by Design. Because I was planning my wedding from a distance, I was not able to sample the cakes before the event date, but I was not disappointed. The cakes both tasted and looked AMAZING! I wanted a simple theme, and the staff at Pastries by Design made it classic. They were also timely and professional with delivery. I would definitely recommend this vendor for any special event in the Sarasota or Tampa area.

Awesome experience from every aspect. Lindsey is a sweetheart with a lot of vision and a passion for what she does. The cake she did for my daughter's wedding was spectacular. The flavors we got to chose form were amazing. Everyone at the reception raved about the cake.

The design of the cake and finished product was simply stunning. I LOVED it!! Each different flavored layer was moist, fresh and delicious . The addition of the flower cascade was executed perfectly. We can't wait to dig into the top drunken monkey layer in a year :)

They were so open to whatever we wanted to do. We worked with Lindsay and she was great. She got the lillies on the cake absolutley perfect. And the words we wanted were coreect and even better they were spelled right. But the best part...the filling! We had strawberry shortcake with whipped cream cheese frosting. Absolutley fabulous. We also had two dozen cupcakes made for the staff of the restaurant were we had our dinner and they were loved!

I'm not sure if I can put into words how my husband and I felt about our wedding cupcake tower. It was even more beautiful than we had imagined, it truly brought tears to my eyes. The craftsmanship and detail was unparalleled; Lyndsy's artistry is astounding - she drew our entire cake design right in front of us during our first meeting, taking into account every request we had. She even made us vegan soy-free cupcakes that were so divine non-vegans were grabbing them! Our guests raved about how moist the cakes were, and how light the frosting was. We highly recommend Lyndsy and her staff!

My wedding was this past Saturday on June 1st 2013, and I have to say when I seen my cake at my reception I was just blown away at how beautiful it was! I didn't even want to cut/eat it because it was so amazing, but when I did bite into for the first time I was just so amazed, so moist, absolutely, so good! My husband is not much of a sweets person but I must say even he was impressed. We ordered the chocolate mocha cake and when we come back to visit the area we know where we are going for cake! Delicious and beautifully designed!

Lyndsy and her team are incredible and we highly recommend their services. Taste-testing cakes has to be the best part of wedding planning, but we never dreamed it could be as delightful as it was at Pastries by Design. We've eaten plenty of cake in our lifetimes, so that is saying a lot! :)

The team was incredibly accommodating as we visited from Ohio to nail down all of our details. We had communicated with a few different bakers beforehand, and simply corresponding with Lyndsy made us inclined to go with Pastries by Design. One taste of her cakes and we were hooked.

Lyndsy was amazing throughout the whole process. We wanted a few different flavors of cake and had a particular vision. She was incredibly flexible and encouraging about whatever made us happy. When I contacted her a month or so before the wedding about making a groom's cake (and a complicated one at that) she was so excited to make whatever I thought my husband would like.

All of the cakes turned out both beautiful and delicious!!! Guests raved about the taste and the design. Lyndsy somehow piped the lyrics to our first dance song onto our tiered cake, matched one of the other cakes to the paisley on the groom's tie, and designed the others each with incredible detail and creativity. For the groom's cake she created a sports-themed cake with Fenway Park, UK basketball, Bengals football, and Bruins hockey... sounds crazy?? She made it crazy awesome! And man did the groom love it!!

We absolutely recommend their services -- you will not find a larger selection of flavors, each one more delicious than the next! We cannot wait to dig into our top tier during our one year anniversary :)

I almost fell over when I saw my wedding cake at the reception. It was the most beautiful, artistic cake I've ever seen in my life. She also made the grooms cake, a replica of our pug, and it was beyond my expectations. The only thing better than the appearance was the taste!!

Pastries by Design came highly recommended to me. Not only were they the most passionate about their work, their cake beat out all others in the area in taste, price, style, and professionalism. I didn't think twice about my cake until I was eating it on my wedding day, and the only reason I thought about it twice then was because I had to get a second piece it was so tasty. It showed up looking perfect, tasting amazing, and never once did I worry about whether or not they would do a good job. There are plenty of difficult decisions to make when planning a wedding - don't make this one of them :) Pick Pastries by Design, you won't regret it!

Pastries by Design was awesome! Lyndsy knew exactly what we wanted during our consultation and created an amazing design for our wedding cake. All the cakes we tasted were delicious but we finally settled on the chocolate peanut butter as our primary flavor. To this day, guests are raving about how yummy it was! Our cake was more than enough to feed our fifty guests and we had a lot left over too. Pricing was very reasonable- actually the most reasonable in the area.

Lyndsy is fantastic!!!!! My cake was everything that I envisioned and more. Lyndsy is very responsive and professional. My cake was not only beautiful it was delicious!! I had originally planned to do a fresh flower topper with my florist but my florist situation became a train wreck right before my eyes. I called Lyndsy to let her know that it was less than 24 hrs before my wedding and I still didnt have a cake topper. I owe it to Lyndsy for creating my cake topper the DAY BEFORE the wedding and it looked better than the florist probably couldve done! After other things in my wedding messed up, even my husband even said "Well atleast the cake went exactly as planned". I mean if a guy takes notice to the cake, then you know you have a good vendor! Our cake was stunning and more importantly, it was delicious. Lyndsy McDonald, the owner, baker and decorator, is professional and easy to work with. She responds to her customers quickly. If you know what you want, she is ready to make it. If you are like we were, clueless, then she will kindly and thoroughly walk through multiple cake shapes, colors, designs, sizes, etc until you feel comfortable with the cake you choose. I cannot eat gluten, and she made one of our tiers gluten free so I could enjoy some of my own wedding cake -- it was delicious and I could not even tell it was gluten free! The price of our cake was incredibly reasonable, and I actually went in expecting it to be more. Lyndsy makes beautiful works of art that taste absolutely incredible. She is easy to work with, professional and responsible. I would recommend Pastries by Design to anyone and everyone.

Best tasting cakes in the Bradenton/Sarasota area! Lyndsy and her team are so awesome and accomodating! When we went for our cake tasting Lyndsy asked our vision for our cake and we just described to her what we liked and she sat there and drew us a picture, and this is while we are tasting these amazing cakes and frostings that she has to offer! She does this all before you even sign a contract with them! They answer any questions you have, you can even bring a picture of your wedding dress and she can incorporate the design into your cake! What I also liked about them was that they do not like to overbook how many wedding cakes they do in a weekend so that they can make sure everything is perfect for each cake!

Lyndsay did a fantastic job. The cake tasting was by far one of our favorite planning activities. Everything was delicious. I sent her pictures of my dress and the girld bridesmaid dresses and she airbrushed the patterns on the cake. It was a great way to bring everything together. If you not only want a BEAUTIFUL cake but one that tastes FANTASTIC you have to call Lindsey at Pastries by Design! At our first meeting she captured the vision and actually drew what the cake would look like. The day of the wedding she brought it to life! It was BEAUTIFUL! Our cake was amazing!! Lyndsy was so helpful with us on ordering our cake. We were a destination wedding, so I didn't get to meet in person for a cake tasting. She was quick with communication and extremely affordable! Other bakeries in the area wanted a lot more for a lot less. Others were even rude when I told them what Pastries by Design was quoting me for the cost of the cake. We sent her a picture of what we were looking for, and our cake looked EXACTLY how we wanted. And it was delicious! Everyone at our reception said it was by far the best cake they have ever had. That even included my sister-in-law who just got married herself not too long ago! :)

Pastries by Design bakes probably the most delicious cake I've ever tasted and after our June 2012 wedding, our guests continued to rave about how gorgeous the cake was, and how delicious too! At most weddings I've been to, the cake is always a letdown, and since my husband and I both have sweet tooths, we knew a delicious cake was a priority. Pastries by Design put my cupcakes together at the last minute as my original cake person backed out. We ordered our cake from Lyndsy and Co. for our June Wedding in Longboat Key. We requested a Key Lime Cheesecake- our favorite -even after other bakers had told us that there was NO WAY. I sent her a picture of my flowers and a few cakes that caught my eye. I could not believe what was sitting on the table at the reception. It seriously took my breath away! Sounds silly, but seriously, it was fabulous! And then... we cut the cake. Oh, dear Lord. It was in fact the best Key Lime Cheescake that we, or our guests had ever had! Our guests are still talking about that bad boy! The cheesecake was 3 layers tall, with a fabulous fondant icing-it was perfect, not hard or chewy like others I have had. And then she covered it with hundreds of little pearls, and the most beautiful sugar orchids, roses and calla lillies; they had a little shimmer which was FABULOUS. My cake for my wedding was the best cake I ever ate. I had my bottom layer as cheese cake. It was wonderful. It makes my mouth water just writing this review. I am not easily please with cakes for decorating or taste as my mom throughout childhood had her own cake decorating business and I was her biggest critic. For my destination wedding my mom could not make my cake, but Pastries by Design exceeded all my expectations in design and flavor.

Best cake flavors ever! We tried 3 different cake/pastry shops in the Sarasota area, and this by far exceeded all of them. The owner is sweet and very good at what she does. She will not dissapoint!
We had an unusual flavored cake (chocolate peanut butter bacon!) and almond cake with rasberry for the 2nd flavor...both were unbelievable! Everyone surprisingly loved the bacon! It was delicious, and beautiful.
The shop is adorable, and the cake tasting was the best experience...really helped get us in the mood for planning our wedding! You must go here!!!

Lyndsy did a wonderful job with our wedding cake! She helped me refine the design I wanted for my wedding cake and I loved the different flavor options she offered. We chose the Tropical Delight and Florida Key Lime Cake. They were so yummy everyone loved it, except for our top tier we are saving I dont think there was any cake left! I also asked Lyndsy for a grooms cake which she did an awesome job of as well. My husband loves his Harley so I gave her a picture of his favorite helmet and she recreated it in cake form! Awesome job!

As always, Lyndsy and her team deliver delicious and beautiful cakes. I had used Pastries by Design before (as did my sister for her wedding cake) and so it was nice to not have to think twice or worry about this. Our guests LOVED the cake. Lyndsy is so easy to work with. Our cake tasting was so fun: mini cakes to try and I brought my now husband, parents, and a sister along with me--she let us all try them! So great.

Delicious and beautifully decorated! We ordered both our wedding cake and groom's cake from here and loved each one! The guests did too! They were very easy to work with and delivered for a great price!

Everyone LOVED our cake. The flavors were awesome and the decorations were sooooo adorable. We came in for a cake tasting and Lyndsy was super intuitive and helpful. She gave us some wonderful ideas and her prices are competitive. We made a few changes to the topper along the way and there were no issues with it at all. They delivered the cake to the resort for us and it was all set and ready to go for our reception. Everything was a piece of cake :) Thanks!

Lyndsey and her team at Pastries by Design are amazing. They do beautiful work. Not only did they do our wedding cake, but grooms cake and our chocolate covered cherries for part of our favors. Their cakes are DELICIOUS!!! Their pricing is competitive. Their service and love for their job is over the top!

If you are in the Sarasota/Tampa area and want an amazing tasting cake that is beautiful then you need to select Lyndsy and her team. There was not one piece of cake remaining aside from the saved topper. One of our guests even called our venue and left a message wanting to know who made our wedding cake. Thank you Lyndsy for your attention to detail and our delicious wedding cake.

This place is wonderful. Their cake is delecious. They have a ton of options for flavors and will let you mix and match. They helped us design the cake too. She hand drew what we wanted and sent us an electronic copy because we could not find anything that was exactly what we wanted. It was delivered on time and everything was exactly as promised.

Pastries by Design makes the tastiest cakes in the area, hands down. They're not putting mixes and a bunch of extra chemicals in their cakes like other bakeries are. They also have a very extensive, unique flavor list to choose from to ensure your cake won't be something your guests have had before.

For an outdoor June reception, the baker made sure the cake with buttercream would be intact by doing a ganache pour over the whole cake. That's incredible. It looked beautiful and was intact throughout the whole evening. She also agreed to deliver it late so it would be extra-safe.

The cake did come looking slightly different than I intended just because the pink piping was much pinker than I wanted. I would recommend that you show shades in person rather than in email pictures. Regardless, the cake was awesome and beautiful.

I worked with Lyndsey through my wedding planner and hired her sight-unseen. My mother-in-law and wedding planner went to a tasting with her and said her cakes were amazing! They said the carrot cake was the best they'd ever tasted! The cake was delivered and it was so much better than I expected! I had textured buttercream frosting that was exactly what I envisioned and she even added our monogram to the front including the very minute detail from our invitation that had an intricate leaf design printed on it. I was very delighted with that surprise! The cake was delicious! Our first taste was during the cake cutting and I went back for a second bite it was so good! She also worked with our caterer to invoice her cost through the caterer so we had one less check to write. Everyone loved the cake and it was beautiful!

We used Pastries by Design for our wedding cake on December 18, 2010. Lyndsy and her assistant (Kristen, I believe?) were both very nice. They had a nice cake tasting set up for us, and they even let my husband (fiance at the time) try a couple samples on a later date because he wasn't able to attend the initial tasting. Lyndsy is very willing to work inside your budget. She starts off at a lower price and then explains how much different additions will cost. But our cake was BEAUTIFUL and much lower cost than other bakeries. It was vanilla with white chocolate inside and vanilla buttercream frosting (that looked like it was the fondant... very smooth and elegant). She also told us that if we wanted flowers on the cake, it would be cheaper to use real flowers rather than her sugar flowers. She put a chocolate brown ribbon around each layer and then we added real red roses. It was gorgeous. It arrived to the venue on time with no problems (at least none that I was aware of!). Everyone raved about how gorgeous it was and how delicious it was. She also packed up 2 red velvet cupcakes (upon my request) for my husband and I to eat later that night. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Pastries by Design to any of my friends.

Lynsdy was great from the get-go! She does the wedding cake catering for the ballroom I selected so I was hoping she would be able to work with me in my vision for the perfect cake! Sure enough when we first met with her we did the tasting and we couldn't decide on 1 flavor so she told us to pick 2! That was wonderful because then we could have the best of both worlds! One tier was marble buttercream and the other was death by chocolate!
She then drew us a sketch with what we wanted and it looked great! The day of my wedding when I saw the real deal I was in shock at how AMAZING it looked! I am still getting compliments of how awesome my caked looked and how YUMMY it was! Sometimes people have pretty cakes but they don't taste that good but mine was the best of both worlds! I cannot wait to have an event again so I can order another cake from them!!

Hi Lyndsy,
I just want to thank you for making our amazing rehearsal and wedding cake and for the adorable cookie place cards.
Let's just say that the cake was so delicious at the wedding that I hard time sharing any with Steve when we cut the cake. I have it on video to prove this :)
All of our guests raved that not only was the cake beautiful but it was absolutely delicious. I had many people tell me that it was the best cake they ever had.
You went above and beyond with both of the cakes and it exceeded our expectations.
The cookie place cards were also a huge hit. I was a little disappointed because no one left their cookies behind but thrilled that they were such a hit :) One of my friends said that she is going to steal that idea for her own wedding.
I can't wait until it is our 1 year anniversary so that we can get a cake to celebrate.

The owner met with us on short notice and went over everything with us. Her cakes were the best I have ever tasted, and she brought plenty of options for us to try. She was warm, and very helpful while I explained my ideas for my wedding cake. On the wedding day I was busy rushing around and at one point I came out and my cake was just there like magic! It was so beautiful, and it was exactly as I had pictured. Everyone raved about how gorgeous it was, but what they really liked was how it tasted! I usually take the icing off my cakes, but the icing was so great that I didn't have to. All I have to say is I am VERY picky, and I tried all the other cakes in Sarasota, and hers was the absolute best. We would recommend Pastries By Design a million times over! Thanks Lyndsy!!!

Instead of getting a traditional wedding cake, we went with 3 round 6 inch cakes. Each with different flavors. We got the Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Fudge filling and Candied Bacon Bits on the top (it was to die for,) and the Marble with Chocolate Buttercream filling. All of the cakes had Vanilla Buttercream frosting and I let theme pick the design. They looked awesome! My sister in law is gluten free so we also got her a dozen mini chocolate gluten free cupcakes. They tasted like fudge brownies to me. I've never had gluten free deserts before. Everything came to just under $100! I had enough to feed over 40 people with a guest list of under 30! Our wedding was in Panama City Beach. They boxed everything up, wrapped each box in plastic wrap, and instructed me on how to transport them and store them when I got to my destination. I picked my cakes up around noon on a Thursday, got in 7 hours later and immediately put them in the fridge. The wedding was on Saturday evening. Everything tasted as if it was just made that morning! They were so moist and fluffy! The only thing is that I wish the platform the cakes were on fit the box. The boxes were a bit bigger than the base and allowed the cakes to shift which risked damage. We were good, bit still. I am already recommending this company to everyone I know!!
