Parties Alive did an amazing job for our wedding. Rich, Dan, and Greg paid close attention to all the little details of our requests and made our wedding the way we wanted it! Rich has made the whole process from the moment we sat down to create a contract to the day of the wedding a breeze. Everything I asked to be played at our wedding was played and even requests on the day of were given. Rich even spoke to us many times leading up to our wedding about little details we wanted for entrance songs and questions regarding our photo montage. He was always quick to get back to you and very accommodating. I cannot thank Rich, Greg, and Dan enough for making our wedding the best party. Everyone enjoyed the music and the dance floor was always packed out! I'm very happy we chose Parties Alive and plan on using them for future events.

Parties Alive blew our expectations away!! We hired them for our wedding on June 2, 2018 in Montauk, NY and we could not have asked for a more personalized event because Dennis, Greg and Rich with Parties Alive took extreme attention to the details we wanted. I gave them a long list of songs and when I heard almost every songs I requested played at our wedding I was beyond excited. It was so personal and really made our wedding feel like OUR wedding. The MC was perfect on the mic, speaking just enough and not too much and the DJ really ensured the music was what we wanted, when we wanted it, and made sure it flowed with the crowd. When the crowd on the dance floor was low they motivated people to come dance. They really kept the party going and read the crowd and adjusted to make sure everyone was having a good time. From the exact timing of the entrance songs, cake cutting and dances, to the Congo line with my specially requested song and limbo it was SPOT ON!! We hired the live drums and saxophone player through Parties Alive and this was such an amazing and fun addition that I would highly recommend. The live musicians interacted with the crowd which was just one more thing that kept the crowd having fun. The music is really everything at a wedding and Parties Alive truly made our dreams come true! Everyone cannot stop talking about how much fun they had thanks to Parties Alive. Their professionalism and experience really shows and we are so lucky that we went with them. Beyond thankful to Dennis, Greg and Rich!!!
P.S. They were easy to deal with and on time and ready to go!

My sister hired Parties Alice to DJ her wedding ten years ago and they did such a great job that we ended up asking them to stay for three more hours! Ten years later when I got engaged the first thing my dad asked me was, “did you call the DJ?” Before we did anything else my dad wanted to make sure we called the DJ to check his availability because Parties Alive truly made the night! They were just as great ten years later, and I have been to other weddings since and there is never a complaint. My number one wedding recommendation!

BOOK THEM NOW! Parties Alive provided ceremony/cocktail hour music, MC and percussionist for my Saturday afternoon wedding reception. They were reliable, accommodating, and initiated dialogue not only before, but during the event that helped them ensure that I was happy with the type and amount of music during the event. What impressed me the most was their professionalism and upbeat personalities. My Mom fell 2/3 of the way during the reception and broke her hip. After she was taken to the hospital, MC Rich asked me how I wanted to proceed with the last 45 minutes of the reception. It was my decision to spend the remaining time dancing. He and his crew got everyone back up on the dance floor. The DJ took old school songs and laid in a fresh EDM beat so older people and younger people were happy with the music. We got so many comments about how much fun they had and how much they loved the music and percussionist.

Rich & Greg were awesome! They took in everything we spoke about from the tone of the wedding, upbeat music list and no line dancing. They were both great to work with. Giving us ideas when we had trouble picking our entrance song to adding more songs to our long extensive list - ha! We really loved every song they played and so did our guests. We couldn't get over the fact that it was just a DJ an no band, they definitely out did themselves, as we haven't been the biggest fan of DJ's at previous weddings because the MC is always a bit too much. I am so glad we booked them and will definitely look to book them again in the future.

I saw Parties Alive at my friends wedding. They did such a great job that I had to have them for mine! Rich is an amazing MC and kept the party going I had a great Dj! I also had a percussionist who was amazing! They are so reasonably priced for the value and great service they deliver. Use them!!!

There are only a couple of things that your guests will remember about your wedding reception, and the music is probably the Number 1 thing. My husband and I are so grateful that we chose Parties Alive for our 3/4/16 wedding. Rich was our MC and Sean was our DJ; we also had saxophonist during our cocktail hour who was great. They definitely kept our party alive all night; the dance floor was packed until the very end of our reception. We received so many compliments about the DJ and their awesome music selections. We had only requested a few key songs that we wanted to play, and the rest was in the hands of the DJ. We loved every moment on the dance floor thanks for Parties Alive.

My husband and I were married on April 15 2016 and Mitch from Parties Alive was our DJ. Overall, Mitch was great - he accommodated the last minute changes to the pre-ceremony and processional with ease, played music all night that kept the dance floor full, and MC'ed the evening with the right amount of talking and interacting with the crowd. He helped to direct the proceedings perfectly. Mitch was a super nice guy, smiled the whole night, and checked in with my husband and I, and parents through the reception to ensure all was OK.

We provided a small list of songs we definitely wanted to hear (and we did), and Mitch chose the right songs to complement them perfectly. He also double checked with us re a few requests that came from guests that were on our no-go list, which was appreciated!

Overall, Mitch was great and did a fab job! We had compliments through the event from our guests about how great the music was - can't ask for more than that.

We used parties alive at our event and he had every single person up dancing on the floor. He knew exactly what to play and went to play it. Which really knows what he's doing, is professional, friendly and very good at what he does. We highly recommend him and still have our guests asking who DJ'd our event.

Parties Alive Entertainment was truly an unforgettable experience, and wowed us from the moment we sat down to the end of our wedding. After reviewing several DJ vendors, there were many distinguishable aspects that made Parties Alive our top choice. In the beginning, were able to meet Rich (MC) and Greg (DJ) before we made our final decision. They thoroughly went through the details of the evening which put our minds at ease. Rich and Greg helped make many of the song choices and are truly great at what they do. From beginning to end, the dance floor was never empty and the party never stopped.

Rich and his team were very upbeat and had all of our guests having fun on the dance floor! The entire team showed an exemplary level of professionalism. Rich was easy to work with and always returned my calls within a few hours to answer any of my questions.
We have received many calls from our guests letting us know what a great time they had and that the entertainment was outstanding!!!

To start off my wife and I fought for several months about whether we were going to have a band or a DJ, lets just say Rich and Parties Alive helped me win my first argument as husband/wife. We met with Rich (owner) and Greg(DJ) a few times before the wedding and every time they were more than accommodating, and gave great song recommendations when we couldn't decide. They were not pushy in any way, nor did they try selling us additional add-ons that they knew we did not want( these were some of the issues our friends ran into when booking a DJ). We explained to Rich and Greg everything that we wanted and we never had one complaint. We gave them a playlist consisting of about 60 songs ( a typical wedding has around 120 songs) and just by looking at it for only a few moments Greg was able to figure out exactly the style of music we were looking for.

The night of the wedding multiple guests kept coming up to my wife and myself telling us how great the DJ was. They had the dance floor packed throughout the entire evening, which is exactly what we wanted. We've been to weddings where DJ's talk way too much on the microphone, or make the guests play games. Rich and Greg did none of that, they kept the music going from the beginning all the way to the end, making it the best night ever. A few guests made a request, and Rich came straight to my wife asking if the songs were okay, which we were very happy with (of course we said yes). Greg's playlist was incredible, and Rich as the MC was exactly on point.

For anyone looking to book a DJ who really listens to what you want for your wedding, Parties Alive is the way to go. We look forward to booking our next event with them!!

Greg was our DJ/MC for our wedding and he did an awesome job! He was very pleasant and accommodating while deciding on music to be played during the ceremony and cocktail hour, etc. he had a lot of music to choose from to get ideas, and was more than happy to download anything he didn't have. During the wedding he played a great variety of music to dance to and had a great energy to him. I received many compliments from my guests regarding the music selection, and Greg! I couldn't have been happier with Greg and Parties Alive and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a great time with great music to get everyone moving! We got married on July 25, 2015 and we hired Parties Alive to be our D.J. -They were FANTASTIC!! It was the best decision we made for our wedding! Rich and Greg make a fabulous team. From the moment we met them, we knew that we wanted them at our wedding. They are professional, knowledgeable, talented, and hardworking. They responded to all of our questions and met with us on several occasions to help plan our special day. They played all of the music we wanted and did everything perfectly! Our guests are still calling us to tell us how fabulous they were! Many of our friends have said that it was the best wedding they have attended mostly because of the music! Rich was our MC and Greg was the DJ. They dressed professionally and looked great! Rich spoke very well and knew what to do every step of the way. Greg knew how to read the crowd and play the appropriate songs to keep everyone dancing. We also used a zap photographer (Dan) through Parties Alive and he did a great job taking pictures/video clips of our party and then live streaming it on the big screens- Our guests loved that! Parties Alive also created a photo montage for us using photos from our childhood, dating years etc. The montage was very well done and our guests loved it!! We also used Parties Alive to rent lounge furniture for our venue and it looked beautiful! We loved everything that we hired them for and they made us so happy with their services. Our wedding was special to us for many reasons...and Parties Alive is one of the main reasons why it was so special. We would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for entertainment.

This company partiesalive is Amazing. Greg was our DJ and he had everyone dancing . They went above and beyond .Played Great music had everyone one the dance floor all night long .We had a percussionist who stayed on the drums from start to finish . I was even told that the percussionist was the highlight of our wedding . Partiesalive was worth every penny we spent on them . We would hire them again and again. Partiesalive was very professional ,courteous, tardy and stayed on cue all night . I would recommend them to everyone i know. Greg and Rich was amazing.

From the moment I met Rich I knew Parties Alive was the perfect entertainment company for our Wedding day. During our engagement, Rich and his team were really responsive to all our questions and requests. Words CAN NOT express just how amazing our wedding was and it was so AMAZING because of Parties Alive! They literally rocked our wedding from start to finish. Rich is the most amazing MC and Justin on the percussion was incredible! Even my 83 year old Nana told me she enjoyed watching him. I never had so much fun dancing in my life. Everyone was having the time of their lives which was so amazing to watch. They played music everyone liked- that’s skill! I would recommend using them in a heartbeat. The one thing I wanted was for everyone to be up and dancing the whole night! They succeeded in fulfilling this task. They even went above and beyond by helping my maid of honor with her amazing speech/rap and the performance that I did not know about with my mom and the brides maids. Thank you so much for making my night an amazing one! I do have a piece of advice for brides... please please let your DJ be the DJ and don't provide them with a list of songs they must play. Let them feel the crowd and work their magic (that is why you paid them isn't it?)

AMAZING!!! My sister used them for her wedding and they were awesome. They were just as awesome for my wedding. Greg was my DJ and Sean was the MC. Whenever I emailed or called them they were very responsive. I wanted a party atmosphere with top 40 and no cheesy line dances and they did everything I asked.
They were so much fun and were great at reading the crowd and keeping the party going all night. Every single person told me how awesome the DJ and the playlist were. And the were very reasonable priced. Definitely could not recommend them enough!!!

My Husband and I got married this past Friday (7/4/14), and we cannot say enough good things about Parties Alive. They were PHENOMENAL. The dance floor was packed all night, without the MC (Greg) ever being pushy or annoying. The DJ read the crowd and played the right music at the right time, ALL NIGHT! Everyone still keeps calling and messaging me how great the DJ company was and asking who we used. Even before the day of, their customer service was stellar, we booked with Rich the owner, and we loved him, then any questions we sent over to them was quickly answered, no problems. I really truly recommend them to any bride, great service, and an overall great company!

My wife and I just got married last month and had Parties Alive provide the music along with percussion, saxophone, video montage, live streaming still shots, monogram lighting, white package and photo booth. They are definitely a top notch company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone getting married. From the minute we met with Rich we felt comfortable and clicked with him. The entire planning process went great....we met with Rich a few times, gave him our song selections, bounced questions and ideas off of him and ended up with the perfect event. We were very particular about certain aspects of the wedding and both Rich and the DJ did a fantastic job of catering to our wants immediately.
The live percussion and saxophone added a nice live element to the music, and the video montage was fantastic!! Our guests had a blast with the photo booth and the live streaming still shots that were displayed constantly on the screens throughout the wedding were awesome. The DJ played an excellent mix and had the whole place dancing the entire time.
There was not one single thing that we were unhappy with and I seriously cannot say enough positive things about Parties Alive. Their price was right and their service was even better. We could not have been more pleased.

Parties Alive is the best DJ/MC you will ever find! They made our wedding so special! We have such an array taste in musical style. We were so specific with our ceremony music, and even the bridal party entrance music, that it is usually difficult for DJs to interpret and portray. DJs still has to do their job to entertain your guests, it's not just about what songs you like! Your music sets the tone and the scene for your wedding. Not only did Parties Alive did a beautiful job in accommodating my vision, they also used their professional judgement to keep my audience, which included senior citizens as well as young kids, captivated ALL day, from the very beginning of the ceremony, all the way through the very end of the reception. They are such a professional looking bunch, they don't need cheesy one liners or terrible music. If you are lucky enough to get Rich as your MC, he is so classy and entertaining. Gregg the DJ understands music as well as our music, that he knew the timing of certain songs in order to keep the crowd interested, and Chip the singer was the perfect icing on the cake : ) He had my guests of all ages loving him ! He is such a wonderful singer! I cannot write enough how much I loved Parties Alive, my guests loved them so much they regretted not having Parties Alive at their own wedding !

I could not have imagined our wedding with any other DJ company! Rich at Parties Alive in Deer Park was absolutely phenomenal. All of our requests were met and exceeded. The night went flawlessly and he effortlessly directed us through our cake ceremony, first dance, bouquet toss and garter toss.

Our guests did not stop dancing the entire night and they really played an excellent mix. There was a little something for everyone. I highly recommend using this vendor for your next event.

Rich and his team did an amazing job providing the entertainment at my wedding. We gave very little guidance as to music and asked them to read the crowd and they nailed it! My wedding rocked because of one reason- my DJ. I have never seen a dance floor at a wedding so packed. And After my wedding basically the only feedback people really gave me was about the music and MC. My guests were blown away by the incredible variety of music and amazing personality of my MC. Rich was awesome!!!! I would recommend Parties Alive to all future brides! He was always available to meet with us or take our phone calls whenever we needed them. The week of the wedding I must have called 7 times because I was all over the place! The phone was always answered with politeness and willingness to help. It was really comforting the week of the wedding to have someone be nice to you after all the stress going on. We had one major concern; there was a curse word in the song we wanted out bridal party to come out too. Rich was so great that he himself sang in the song to eliminate the curse word! Who would to that but Rich from Parties Alive?!?! Amazing! Everyone was dancing non-stop at our wedding! People from all over the country were complementing Rich and wanted him to travel all over to perform at their weddings! Thanks Rich! You're the best! EVERYONE MUST BOOK PARTIES ALIVE BECAUSE THEY ARE EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE, POLITE, ACCOMMODATING

I would highly recommend Parties Alive. I used them for my wedding and was so please. Sean (who was amazing, so nice and was there to help with anything we needed, not just music) had our guest up dancing on the dance floor. Rich was so easy to work with, was very responsive and made me feel comfortable. Thank you so much Parties Alive!

My husband and I probably spent the most time meeting with DJ's than any other vendor for our wedding. Music was very important to us and we felt that the DJ could make or break a party. My husband did not like anyone we met with until we met Rich at Parties Alive! He was easy to get along with, well priced, extremely professional and reliable, and very accommodating. He played every song on our playlist and more importantly reacted to the crowd and had the dance floor packed all night! He went out of his way to make sure the night was exactly how we wanted it. He and his team are amazing and they will provide you and your guests an unforgettable event! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am not going to lie, but we were very worried. We got this vendor at an extremely good price, so we were hoping his quality didn't lack. And it did not!!! Rich and his Parties Alive team were amazing. My dance floor was packed the entire night. My husband and I are extremely picky with music and we needed to hear our hard rock music, some spanish music for my family and regular dance music for the rest of the guests. Rich made this all possible in such a way where it didn't seem like a mess. Two days before the wedding, I called Rich to make changes, and he had no problems at all and was so happy to help. we are extremely happy with these services, and would totally recommend parties alive to anyone.

I had Parties Alive Dj at my wedding and I got so many compliments on how good the music was. They played most of the songs I had listd to be played that night and put my slideshow together. They even surprised with some additional extras that I was not expecting. Rich was the MC & he was great! Soo flexible and helpful! I was so happy with them. Communication was excellent as well, aytime i called or sent an email, I quickly got a response.

There's only one thing to say about Parties Alive, they're AWESOME!!! Rich was our DJ. They were recommmended by our vendor and when we saw them performed at one of Bridal Showcase at Hyatt Hotel right away my husband and I love them!!! We met up with them for the first time and very professional and we're glad that we booked through them. Before the event we met up and spoke several times until we narrowed down what we wanted... Everyone LOVE our DJ and I know few of my guests would love to book them for future events! Everyone was in the dance floor and you don't need million PROPS for all to be dancing!!! They provided the ceremony songs as well, they did a fantastic job. Our wedding is very UNIQUE from the others because we had a FILIPINO wedding. At the ceremony, they need to put a certain song on each every detail which means if you're not familiar you'll definitely get lost (it's all about timing and coordinating with one another) and at the reception we had a "Money dance", a filipino tradition to help the newly weds starts a new life together by pinning money on bride or groom and dance with them... Rich made sure to invite all the guests and explained what it was all about, this was very NEW to him but I believe HE did a remarkable job for a person doing it for the first time!!! We had Saxophonist and percussionist and everyone LOVE it. And also, I had to mentioned this because I had a friend of mind sung for our "second dance", but she got nervous forgot the lyrics and believe me or not the Saxophonist picked up where she left off and help her thru it! That's attentiveness/responsiveness and professionalism... What we paid is WORTH every dime!!! We couldn't wait for our CD's and we even had a Photo Montage through out the night everyone was so AMAZED! because they see themselves on a big screen!!! I first was introduced to Parties Alive when my friend got married. They were on a low budget as was I. You would never know it by how great a DJ they were. So, after their wedding, I made an appointment to meet with Richie and my husband and I knew IMMEDIATELY that this was the DJ for us. We had met with others and felt many were cocky and too much for us in many ways. When we sat down to talk about the type of wedding reception we were looking for, they made us feel like we were the only thing that was important to them at that moment. They had great personalities, and made us so comfortable. We watched DVD's of past events they had done and we were able to say that there was not one thing done at any of the events that we didn't like. We also met our videographer through Parties Alive. That wasn't even planned! Still to this day, my friends and family say that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that it had the best music ever! Parties Alive played exactly what we wanted them to, and if they didn't have it, we gave them a cd of it, and they were good to go! Our friends are getting married this fall and loved the dj so much that they were the first vendor they booked! You will not be sorry when you book Parties Alive!

Our DJ Greg did a great job spinning tunes for our wedding celebration. Played all the music I asked for during the cocktail hour and ceremony, and provided his own music to get people on the dance floor during the party. Really great! But confirm payment before the event. Their strong suit is entertainment, not back office procedure.

My husband and I used Parties Alive for our DJ entertainment and our video. I saw Parties Alive at one of their showcases and Rich was MCing. I instantly liked them. Parties Alive has two locations, one in Kings Park and Deer Park. I called to make a meeting w/ Rich not knowing he was the owner of the company. Rich was professional and informative. The price he quoted us for the DJ entertainment was very reasonable and within our budget. The video price quote was also very affordable. We knew we didn't want any strobe lights and no obnoxious add on's. Rich never pushed us. The day of the event Rich was our MC. The team he brought (I forgot the DJ's name) was very professional and friendly. The music they played had people dancing all night and there never was a dull moment on the dance floor. They played a great selection of music and everyone had a great time. The videographer was also great; he was always videotaping but never got in the way. The video quality was beautiful. Parties alive gave us extra copies of the video w/ no problem. They only tiny issue we had was we wanted a couple of songs that Parties Alive didn't have and Rich asked us buy them ourselves and burn them. I did'nt really have an issue w/ it b/c it was 2 dollars but my fiancee didn't really get it. Otherwise, I would recommend Parties Alive to any bride who is looking for an affordable DJ & Video who is friendly, professional and really gives you what you want.

Overall, I am happy with Parties Alive. Rich, the owner gave us an incredible package at a great price. The MC and the DJ did an awesome job all night long and kept my guests on the dancefloor.

We had Rich as our MC and I can't recall the name of our DJ but they were great! We had an afternoon wedding, but they did an awesome job of getting everyone on the floor and making it seem like a night-time wedding. The floor was packed all afternoon. All of the songs we requested were played with no problems. I would HIGHLY recommend to look into this DJ company for your wedding.

We had a great time working with Rich and the team for our wedding at Oceanbleu this past summer. He played all the songs we wanted and stuck to our needs and wants the whole night. The whole set up was amazing with the TVs showing up to date dance floor photos and the uplightkng made the room perfect!

Overall our DJ was great, Richard Harris was the our MC. We had a few issues communicating over email, but he was always able to reach by phone, and very helpful. They actually blew a fuse during the wedding, and our music and lights were off for about 15 minutes, but they got everything back up and running quickly and it really wasn't their fault. My sister also used them for her wedding, and they were great for her wedding too!

At first we were a little apprehensive with the DJ/MC situation. But, during the day of our wedding, we were very pleased with the outcome! Everyone had a GREAT time! They kept everyone on the dance floor, and the music was what we wanted. They went above and beyond, and everyone could not stop talking about how great our DJ/MC were! We would highly recommend Parties Alive!

The music IS one of the most important parts of a wedding reception, but it is also one of the most expensive! With Parties Alive, we got the music we wanted at a great price. Rich worked with us so that we were able to stay within our budget and have the wedding of our dreams! The reception was amazing, the dance floor was NEVER empty! Rich did a wonderful job pairing us up with our DJ and MC, they fit our personalities perfectly. I was so worried about having vendors at my wedding that were too pushy and constantly asking me questions! The staff at Parties Alive did a wonderful job keeping the party going while letting me party and not worry about a thing!

Rich was amazing...people were on the dance floor all night. My father-in-law almost paid the extra money to keep the DJ there longer, because the party was hopping from start to finish! We created an enormous list of requests and God bless Rich, because he really had to narrow it down, but still keep us happy. He was wonderful!

The value is unbeatable we had Dj Greg who was great we adored him he is sweet and kind and easy going he was not overbearing but present and attentive they gave use paper work to fill out songs and we FILLED it but i told him it was really just to give him an idea of what we liked and i didnt expect he would play them all but he pretty much did which was really perfect. We also booked an acoustic guitarist through them which was a bit of a mix up, we orginially booked bc we liked a specific guitarist and then when we got paper work in the mail someone else was listed when i spoke to them they recognized that a mistake was made but the original guy was no longer available so they gave me a link to listen to the one they had booked and i felt awful but we really didnt like his voice, like at all, i contacted them back and said how badly i felt but that i wasnt happy and they sent me info for someone new who ended up being perfect for what we wanted so that worked out even better. The only complaints i have, and they are small, is that originally we met with the owner rich and greg was there but when i tried to contact rich again a couple of times about the wrong guitartist i only received responses from his receptionist and never saw or heard from him again after booking, and secondly which is pretty silly and took place after the wedding but i have received 3 emails asking me to leave a review for them if i was happy with the service, which i really was happy with and totally intended on doing anyway when i got bacn from my honeymoon but, the reason it is a complaint is that this is the only vendor to request a review multiple times AND most importantly, the email is addressed to someone else but says how they enjoyed working with me lol but really that is miniscule, price could not have been beat and we loved Dj Greg so book them and book him and if you want a guitarist request Andrew bc he was really spectacular

After writing a review, which I would never take the time to do, I was cut off because I just had so much to say leaving me to now just bullet key reasons why Parties Alive should be your last choice to dj on your wedding day...

1. After making an appointment with them a year ago to book my date, my Fiance and I drove 45 minutes on a holiday weekend and no one was there to meet us. We made countless phone calls, with no response and finally got an email response stating that a truck broke down. I guess Parties Alive only has 1 truck?
2. We gave them a second chance, after seeing them at a wedding showcase and being wowed by their performance. Big mistake, now knowing this after our wedding is completed.
3. Djs stated they would "read the crowd" and pick suitable music. I didn't know Men in Black was still played at weddings in 2014.
4. Mc never announced anything... my mother missed my dance with my father and no one saw my photo montage because they didn't know it was taking place. P.S photo montage pictures we completely cut off- I had a beautiful picture of my father and I and no one could even tell it was us because our heads were cut off. How embarrassing!
5. Booked an electric violinist after seeing PATRICK perform, and a girl showed up at 830. Left by 1045. They stated she was contracted until 11? My party ended at 1230, and NOWHERE on my contract which I still have does it say that. Plus no one knew she was even there.. she stood by the dj booth and never interacted or performed how they made it seem at the local bridal showcase.
6. At the end of the night, the best music was played- after my guests left. Oh and they let my husband and I play the drums, after we had to ask them too.
7.No daytime hours. Located in the back of someone's house. Weird in itself.
8. Announced the WRONG names for our parent entrances.
9. cake cutting song played AFTER we cut the cake.
BEWARE. SUCH A LET DOWN! This is just a few reasons why.

I would not be surprised if the rest of these reviews were from members of the Parties Alive staff. Less expensive than the other DJs I looked at - by around 1000... TOTALLY not worth it. Our DJ did not provide any 'flow' to our wedding, played the wrong 'first song,' didn't even know my husband was from another country and that some of our guests would be - so obviously rich did not actually speak to him about the wedding. He played 'Blurred Lines' 3 times over the 4 hours - albeit 3 different versions, as every current song was some sort of remix. If you use this company, PROVIDE A PLAYLIST of exactly what you want. I was very relaxed, and when Rich told me that these are professionals etc etc, I agreed and said I totally understand, it's their job to know what songs to play. Well, I was wrong.

Can not trust anything Rich tells you. Sends the photographer for half the service and then switches at the party without asking/telling us. Paid for upgraded photographer and was sent an unprofessional poorly untalented one. If the pics are blurry and poor, what do you have left of your momentous occasion? The MC was bored and not interested in being at our party at all. Was outside on his phone instead of engaging everyone to dance. I could go on, but you get the picture.
When I talked to Rich at the end of the party, he said he would refund some of my money and never did. He said he's a man of his word, but his word meant nothing.

The following is a condensed version of the email we sent to Parties Alive:
1. The PA System for the ceremony was not brought by DJ Eclipse. Luckily, we were able to rectify this by bringing the speakers out of the ballroom, after the initial suggestion of DJ Eclipse to "speak loudly".
2. The ceremony songs played by the string trio, who were booked through you, were all incorrect.
3. EVERY song that was meant to be played when we entered the ballroom for introductions was wrong, despite checking with DJ Eclipse. "Dance The Night Away" by Van Halen was to be played when the bridal party entered and instead it was a club remix that we couldn't identify, despite us saying we didn't want house music played at all. As two people who met working in radio, song selection was a very important part of personalizing this wedding and the music was completely disconnected from who we are as a couple. When we confronted DJ Eclipse (who doesn't know how to tuck his shirt in), he said, in regards to the Van Halen song, "I played it eventually". He wasn't supposed to play it eventually, he was supposed to play it when he was supposed to play it.
4. We had to pull our catering director aside and ask her to set our up lighting back to blue because we noticed they were changing colors... the way they would in club. If we wanted seizure inducing lighting, we would have bought it through you when you offered it as an up-sell, but we didn't, so your DJ had no business playing with the lights.
5. Sean's parents could barely make it to the dance floor for their own dance before the music was cut short, which we felt to be unfair to them.
6. Our catering director had to request that her staff "keep an eye on him", as they noticed DJ Eclipse make repeated trips to the bar. Not one of our other vendors acted in such a unprofessional, disorganized manner and we regret having Parties Alive grouped in with an otherwise flawless execution of our event.

Rich backed out of my wedding 2 days before. He sent another MC because he was "double booked." I've noticed from other Parties Alive brides, this is something he does very often. I had to review all of my music selections with my new MC when I went into my wedding, which took me away from my cocktail hour for 15 minutes. Then, he kept messing up my song lists! I paid extra for uplighting and was so disappointed when I walked into the room. I contacted Rich after my wedding and not only did he ignore my emails, when I finally got in contact with him, he was beyond rude! He is extremely unprofessional and has the worst customer service anywhere.

One of my friends got married after me and he called her to ask her to book with him. She mentioned my wedding and he said, "She fell through the cracks, we won't let that happen to you." I don't think there is any room for a company who lets people "fall through cracks" without acknowledging they made a mistake and trying to fix it by working with me to make sure I'm happy.

There are plenty of DJs out there who are just as inexpensive and actually do a good job.

This vender was horrible. The owner refused to let us meet with the person who was going to be doing our wedding, after several (5) attempts to meet the person, I informed the owner that if we do not in fact meet the person who would actually be taking care of us I would cancel the contract and hire someone else, the owner decided he would be doing our wedding. On the day of our wedding two men show up and say the owner had a prior engagement. They went over the play list with me prior to the ceremony. During the ceremony, they stopped the music before the precession ended, and my Maid of Honor and flower girl walked down the aisle in silence. During the reception, they played the wrong song for my spotlight dance TWICE, they cut off our first dance and husband and wife before the song ended and said "sorry folks we'll get back to that one later", they played music no one would dance too, leaving the dance floor empty most of the night, despite repeated requests from myself, the groom and several guests - claiming that my "no rap music" request hindered their choices. They played the song I dedicated to my mother as they were cleaning up and after most people had left the reception. They played the cake cutting song, AFTER we had cut the cake and while we were feeding each other. We had a Viennese hour and this was when they finally played some dance music - while the dance floor was filled with the dessert table. And the owner was a friend of the groom's family. I can't imagine how they treat strangers.
