    Beautiful Area

The park was amazing! Great place for ceremony, dinner and reception. Minus the minor fees for the little stuff and the no refund on the grounds if it rains, cause Mother Nature in Wisconsin is very unpredictable, everything was excellent!

As soon as I saw the photos of Pamperin Park, I fell in love. The building itself is beautiful, with stone walls, a beautiful golden-copper colored dome, and indoor architecture with tons of history. The outside garden area is equally gorgeous; we were even lucky enough that the flowers planted in the garden were the exact same that we used in our decorations! There is a small river with a large bridge near the building that leads to the butterfly garden and surrounding forest, as well as a huge playground, sand volleyball court, and lots of picnic tables to enjoy the surroundings. The park ranger answered all of our questions and gave us helpful hints along the way. The one thing we didn't enjoy was the lack of air conditioning because the building got sooo hot with 200+ guests. Fortunately, we were able to sneak outside when we needed a breath of cool air and still hear the music for an outdoor dance party! If you plan on reserving Pamperin Park, make sure to arrive at least an hour before they open to make sure you get your reservation date. We arrived an hour and a half ahead of time and were fifth in line...but it was well worth the wait!!

Pamperin was an absolutely beautiful reception venue this winter. The park staff answered all of my questions and allowed us to come in so we could visualize set up. I would highly recommend Pamperin for a wedding during any season. It's very affordable and was perfect for the wedding I imagined. :)

It was SUCH a beautiful ceremony, and we didn't break our budget for it either!! It was gorgeously set under a gazebo, and everything was very easy to plan/set up! I was VERY happy with the way things all turned out!

Our Pamperin Park wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The Dance Hall looked awesome with the lighting and we got lots of compliments on our beautiful venue.

    Pros:
    Beautiful venue (inside and outside)
Lots of great areas for photos
Stage and fireplace in Dance Hall both are both great for ceremonies - we chose to get married in front of the fireplace
    Lots of room for dancing
    Garbage pickup now included
    Great approved caterers
They provide a small wagon/cart that was a LIFESAVER for us when it came time to haul stuff in and out!

    Cons:
    Expensive for what it is
Have to pay extra for the lighting, to extend hours, and to rent the other room
Book a year to the month in advance, which makes booking extremely difficult

It was a great venue but you have to be ready to do a lot of it yourself.

My husband and I both knew we wanted a relaxed atmosphere with a fireplace for our wedding venue. Pamperin Park was the perfect spot for us! It was a great price, was just big enough for our original estimate of about 200 people, and the lighting and multiple rooms were a great bonus.

We ended up with about 150 guests which was perfect. We didn't need to put up every table, or take them down at the end of the night. We rented the building until midnight but with a 3:30 ceremony and dinner at 5:00, people started dancing at 6:30ish and almost everyone was gone before 11. We packed our car with family and were home at about 11:00 (we live right by the park).
Garbage pick is now included. We didn't have a hard time booking because we did a winter wedding, but they really need a better reservation system. Having people call or go online at a particular time is asking for trouble. Not being able to start planning your wedding until a year before hand is a problem. You need to have your venue booked before then!

The park guys at the beginning of the day and end of day were super nice and helpful. The parks department staff I talked to about my questions were friendly enough. I was very nervous about fitting 200+ people in the room, but it would not have been a problem, especially if we seated some 10 to a table.

I would leave some chairs in the second, smaller room for a quiet area for your guests who need a break from the music. My husband and I spent a lot of time just enjoying the space outside of the hall, talking to guests. It was very relaxing. Exactly what we wanted at our wedding.

Loved the park for our wedding!! Getting the venue was a trip but so worth it. You need to know your date a year in advance to rent the park building.

We LOVED having our wedding here. There are a few "cons" to be aware of, but none of them changed how thankful I am that we had our reception there or effected how BEAUTIFUL it was.

    What we loved:
    - Beautiful interior in the main hall
    - Ability to adjust the room and table setup to whatever you would like
    - The property manager is helpful, easy to talk to and knows everything to know about hosting an event there because he's been doing it for 20ish years.
    - They have an electronic to scale map in MS Excel the property manager can email you that helps a ton with designing table layout.
    - It doesn't cost much to add the icicle lights to your rental. They provide them and hang them!
    - We love the new wrought iron chandeliers.

    What we wish was different:
    - Cost. We rented the entire building so we could have food in the side hall (due to volume of guests). We also added an extra hour to our rental so family and friends would have adequate time to cleanup. It ended up being very expensive considering that wait staff, dishes, nice chairs, or trash removal were included.
    - Earlier arrival time. They open at 10am (unless you pay another $100 to get in earlier) and won't let you set up ahead of time.
    - Tables and chairs were brown and folded. Need to be covered and/or replaced for reception.

    Insider tips:
    - Be prepared for the setting sun to stream in from the west window and arrange tables accordingly.
    - Know they have a required caterer list if you aren't preparing your own food (which we did).
    - You can use spandex chair covers (without sashes)
    - If serving your food from the side hall, it works well to route guests out the building to get to the food tables and use the inside hall for guest who are returning to the main hall with food (and make sure you do two food lines!)
    - Don't forget you must provide all your own plates, glasses, utensils, tables clothes, salt & pepper shakers, etc. (as expected, but requires more planning).

We had a pre wedding ceremony here in July and loved it.

Some caution - the dancehall does not open until 10AM, so we were a bit rushed trying to get everything set up for a 1PM kick off - I would suggest trying to set up the night before (you would have to rent the previous day) or having a later ceremony, or maybe just have more people helping! We had a mix up too with the booking - we dealt with 3 different park staff, each gave conflicting information. When we originally booked the dance hall, we presumed the outside section also came as part of the package. 4 days before our event, when confirming the venue, we were informed that we had to pay an additional fee to have tables in the outside area. Also on the day, the group who had rented the adjoining hall, thought they had reserved the whole building - we figured it out, but was unnecessary stress.

On the plus side, the park is absolutely beautiful very well maintained. When we arrived the dance hall was spotless and everything in working order. It is an easy room to set up and take down. The dance hall was a perfect setting for our pre wedding celebration - 200 + guests coming and going fitted comfortably. (We had seating for 120 inside, 40 outside and high tables for 30). The band played inside the dancehall on the stage and the acoustics were great. The park staff on the day (manager and Jake) were great to deal with and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend Pamperin Park and the Dance Hall for a wedding.
