Excellent vendor!

I've honestly been holding off on reviewing Pamela's Traveling Feast for our wedding because I wanted to write something EXCELLENT and we've got 6 kids, so there's limited time!
My husband and I needed good food fast, for our wedding and my parents had HIGHLY recommended Pamela's. With no time to spare, we met Pamela (who is very attentive to both customer service and detail) and she came through 2 WEEKS BEFORE with a variety of different style menus to choose from for our small wedding of about 35 guests. We were very surprised by the variety if options we had to choose from. Pamela sat and custom created a menu that fit our EXACT NEEDS, inclusive if the fact that we have severe food allergies that several of our family members have.
The staff was prompt, polite, professional and attentive at our wedding and stayed later than asked and went beyond their job description.
Tonight, my husband and I returned for a date at Pamela's on the Hudson for dinner and once again, the staff was INCREDIBLE and the food was also incredible. Pamela makes you feel like her guest at her restaurant. The view in amazing and the decor is beautiful. We are so glad that we found Pamela's on the Hudson and will definitely return! If you want a beautiful view, wonderful food and a great staff, you should go too!!
Pamela's Traveling Feast is an EXCELLENT choice as a caterer for any wedding.

Micro Wedding during a Pandemice

Who knows what tomorrow may bring during these times. My fiance & I decided it was about making our union one and why wait to have the big traditional wedding.
We contacted Pamela's 1 month before our set wedding date. She was not only able to accommodate our immediate family, she also designed a custom menu and signature drink for us.
We had a BBQ food theme that was taken to the next level.
Our ceremony was outside on the patio with the Hudson River and Newburgh Bridge in our background.
Pamela's made our wedding intimate and romantic. It was better than we dreamed of!
We plan to return every year for our Anniversary.

Dream wedding comes to life!!

Pamela's catered our wedding at our home. I could not believe what I walked into the day of my wedding! It was a dream, I told Pamela I wanted a beach theme and that is exactly what I got. It was the most amazing day, Pamela was right there making sure everything was perfect, the staff was so professional and helpful, the food was amazing. My guests had the most wonderful time and it was all because of Pamela and her traveling feast!! Thank you so much for everything - the only problem was it went way too fast!

October 2018 wedding

We had our wedding party at Pamela’s in August of 2017 and were so pleased that when our son was planning to get married in October if 2018 we knew exactly where to go. From reserving the date on short notice to planning the perfect menu Pamela knew exactly how to put her personal touches on every detail. We were able to have a small intimate ceremony right in the dining room followed by a delicious meal that our guests couldn’t say enough about. Pamela and her staff are wonderful at turning a plan into a dream come true.

We had the great pleasure of working with Pamela's Traveling Feast for our annual School Foundation gala fundraiser. Pamela was a warm, professional and enthusiastic partner in planning our event, and even conceptualized our theme of a Roaring 1920's Speakeasy. She had so many ideas, and helped us cultivate our theme, even decorating food stations to match. The catering was perfectly suited to the event, right down to the signature cocktail. We were so happy to work with Pamela's Traveling Feast, and would recommend them unreservedly.

Working with Pamela and Jayme is what made our wedding as enjoyable as it was. She was a real partner in the planning process, treated us like family, and always seemed to just "get" exactly what we were trying to do, even when we weren't sure how to explain it. She was patient when we changed our minds, and always exuded a love for her customers, and an appreciation for our ideas that was encouraging when we felt overwhelmed. It all seems to come easily to her. We really put her to the test as well - we had all kind of ideas about rentals, and we also wanted to raise and butcher as much of our own food as possible, and she gave us expert guidance, went with the flow as needed, and made menu adjustments accordingly with no issue. Pam and her team executed the whole event on-site with grace, JOY, and elegance. I was blown away, and so were our guests. I keep getting raves about the food, even 3 months later. Pam is one of the best caterers I have ever worked with, hands down. It was truly a delight.

Pamela and her staff have been fabulous at helping us design our menu as well as suggesting excellent vendors for other services.
We haven't yet had our wedding but we had our tasting and the food was absolutely amazing. I mean unbelievably delicious. I don't like steak but if I eat it I get it medium well. She served the NY strip steak, medium rare and it was the most delicious steak I've ever eaten.
We can't wait to feed our guests and have them remember our wedding as the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding.

I had the pleasure of using Pamela‘s Traveling Feast to cater my wedding. From the moment I met Pamela I knew that she would be perfect. She had my vision and knew exactly what I wanted down to every little detail. Pamela and her staff made me feel so comfortable, like I was part of their family and I honestly can’t say enough about them. Pamela listened to every detail (and believe me I had many) and assured me that she was going to deliver the wedding of my dreams and she sure did!!! Pamela worked with my husband and I to adapt the menu to what was affordable in our situation. I felt confident that she had everything under control and I did not doubt her for a minute. Pamela was a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations. Her staff was very attentive and the service was exceptional; they did not miss a beat. I can truly see the love she has for her staff and the love they have for her and that says a lot about a business.
The food was also exceptional as well as the presentation. My guests are still raving about it till this day and say it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been too. Which leads me to the next great thing. I honestly can’t say enough about Jayme. Jayme was absolutely wonderful with the décor and all the finite details. She pulled everything together and my guests were blown away. Between Pamela and Jayme, my wedding was everything I had ever dreamed it could be. I would recommend Pamela and her staff for any wedding or event because I know that the attention to detail and the hard work that Pamela and her staff put in is beyond exceptional and no bride would be disappointed. My husband and I were extremely lucky to have such an exceptional caterer. We even remained in contact after the wedding. She was not only our caterer but became a good friend. I thank Pamela from the bottom of my heart for making me the happiest bride on the day of my wedding. WE LOVE HER!!!!!!!!

Pamela and her staff were absolutely incredible to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. After our first meeting with Pamela, we knew she was someone special. Her passion and love for what she does is truly inspiring. She not only made my husband and I feel comfortable, but my entire family quickly grew to love her. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is outstanding, and Pamela's experience with weddings speaks for itself. She has a special touch with every little detail and is willing to work with you to make your wedding the best day of your life. We would recommend Pamela's Traveling Feast in a heartbeat! Working with Pamelas for my daughters wedding was an extension of my brain!
She and her team had every detail attended to in a large scale.

Beyond any event I've ever attended. They fulfilled our every wish,and made it feel very intimate,and filled with wow!

The team was sophisticated ,polite and attentive to every desire.

The food was perfection not only in taste but presentation!

They were prepared, on time , adapted
to any changes that occurred and calm.

They have all the connects to everything needed to create the fantasy event. Suggestions to implement all!!

I don't even know where to begin. From the very first meeting with Pam, she completely understood my vision and was 100% invested into making our wedding day perfect. Every question and every meeting was handled professionally and promptly. Our wedding day was absolute PERFECTION. From the ceremony space, cocktail hour and reception which were all at locust grove, Pam and her staff made the entire evening magical. They made our thoughts and ideas come to life and I was in complete awe all night. Her staff was on top of everything and the night went so smoothly because of their hard work! The food was out of this world. Almost a month later and my guest are still raving about the food and desserts, also, Pam's friendly staff. I am forever grateful to Pam and her staff for making my wedding day vision come to life and making our wedding day everything we dreamed.

Pamela was so sweet & professional to deal with. Her flexibility and attention to detail made our venue perfect. I will never go back to entertaining or dinner parties without Pamela and her Traveling Feast team by my side...for the first time ever - I was able to enjoy my own dinner party!! The food was the highest level - the service impeccable - the only thing I regret....not doing it sooner!! No need to shop or compare - beyond user friendly and totally excellent taste. So very grateful - life changing.

We absolutely ADORED Pamela from the very first moment we met her! We knew instantly that she was the perfect vendor for us! Her attention to detail, her personal touches, her personality and just everything were such a joy to witness! :) She helped to make our wedding the most perfect day - from the warm apple cider and pumpkin bread as people arrived, to the cocktail hour and the passed hors devours, to the DELICIOUS sit down dinner - everything was simply delicious! She even ensured that we had a plate of snacks during our photo session that took us away from our cocktail hour! She made sure everything was taken care of - including our schedule of events, our table and linen rentals and a ton of other details! She acted as our wedding coordinator and caterer all in one! Her staff was a joy to work with - absolutely professional, pleasant and fun to be around! All in all, we are one happy couple! It would be a joy to work with Pamela again and we refer her to anyone and everyone that is looking for catering in the area! :)

I picked all of my vendors based on feel. I knew we would choose Pamela as our caterer the second I walked into her location. Her location is a lot like her and her staff, warm and inviting. It was such a pleasure to work with these professionals. I must have e-mailed and called them a million times with a million different questions, and each time they were more than happy to help! Pamela created a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests at our wedding. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Her staff made sure my husband and I ate everything that was offered. She coordinated with all of my vendors to create a timeline in order to ensure that our day was absolutely perfect! Pamela was there to honor every bizarre special request we had and did so with a huge smile. We will definitely be using Pamela's services in the future.

Pamela made our dream come true. We truly felt like family. From our very first meeting, we saw that she had the same vision we had and with her special touch, she greatly exceeded our expectations. Our guests were extremely impressed and wanted to know how we found this gem. Her staff catered to our every wish and went well beyond their role, with one even providing a ride back to the hotel instead of having them wait for another shuttle. Pamela prides herself on menus specific to the couple so we met with her to talk about who we are and what our desires were before she put together a menu. She is very warm and made my fiance and I feel so much more at ease after meeting with her. Talking with her we could see that she saw our vision immediately. The menu she designed was perfect for us! Leading up to the wedding, she and Jayme coordinated all of our rentals. This was a huge relief. They also coordinated with all of our other vendors. They truly acted as wedding planners and took a huge amount of stress off our shoulders. By the time we arrived at the venue a few hours before the wedding, everything was beautifully in place! The lay out of the food and any decor that Pamela provided was completely in line with our florist and anything we brought. It all came together seamlessly. And the food!! Oh my word, it was even more delicious than it had been at our tasting. All of our guests complimented us on the apps and the meal. Pamela even made pies for us in lieu of a wedding cake, which more than one person described as the best apple pie they had ever eaten. Pamela's talent in the kitchen can't be surpassed, but her smile, calming attitude and laugh were honestly the best part of working with her. We couldn't imagine going through our wedding without Pamela and Jayme. We are forever grateful to them.

Pamela's Traveling Feast catered our wedding at Brotherhood Winery on November 2, 2013. We absolutely loved working with Pamela and Jayme in the months leading up to our wedding. They are so knowledgeable and have such an eye for style. They work closely with the rental company we used, and that really eased our minds knowing that they knew exactly what we needed to host such a large event. Their attention to detail is also impeccable, for example Jayme asked us what font we used on our escort cards so that she could match the style for the cocktail hour signs. At our first meeting with Pamela, she asked us what our vision was and what style of food we wanted. From there, every single item for our wedding was customized just for us. We wanted to do an "around the world" cocktail hour theme, and she delivered! Our guests are still raving about how unique our food was and that it was unlike any other wedding they have been to. The biggest hit was our mashed potato bar, where Pamela's team served mashed potatoes in martini glasses and had toppings out for our guests to fix any way they liked.

My husband and I are so so glad that we chose Pamela's Traveling Feast!

Where can I possibly begin when recommending the caterer that made my years of fairy-tale wedding dreams come true? ...with the fact that Pamela and Jayme (Pamela's office and event manager) responded to my weekly e-mails with energy and enthusiasm? ...the fact that our dream of a not so typical wedding came true because of their help and hard work? ...or maybe with the fact that our day was absolute perfection, from the ceremony in the heated tent that Pamela's staff coordinated and decorated, to the passed hors d'oeuvre during cocktail hour which reflected our absolute favorite foods, to the anti-pasta and poured wine on our guests tables, to the three buffet stations decorated in a stunning fashion, which were all completely different, to the dessert buffet which boasted mini versions of every delicacy imaginable!

Pamela made our wedding day absolutely everything my husband and I imagined it would be, and ten times more. She even made sure to dedicate a complete station to being Gluten free as my mother-in-law and best friend are severely intolerant....and cooked everything on this station herself to ensure its safety!

It is now almost exactly one month later and my husband and I are still getting phone calls from friends saying that our wedding was literally the most beautiful and most fun of any they've ever been to; and for that we thank Pamela.

We HIGHLY recommend this caterer, especially if you are looking to create something that is truly your own.

I was mother of the bride and can't begin to explain how wonderful, thoughtful, accommodating and knowledgeable Pam and her staff were throughout the entire reception at Brotherhood Winery. Countless times her staff would see me doing something and tell me to go be with my guests, "they would take care of what I was doing". Besides the bride and groom being treated like a king and queen, their parents were also #1. EVERY staff member of Pamela's Traveling Feast was professional and polite. Not to mention the presentation of every item in our menu, appetizers served during our cocktail hour to dinner to cake was absolutely fabulous! I can't say enough about Pam and her business, you won't regret working with her, I promise!

Pamela and her staff did a wonderful job catering our wedding. The food was delicious, the service staff was attentive, and the tent was beautifully set up and decorated. Pamela recommended our venue and coordinated our rentals, which made things so much easier for us. Throughout the planning process, all of our questions were answered and we felt relaxed going into our wedding day. Everything was lovely, and I would definitely recommend Pamela's Traveling Feast.

We had our wedding at Pamela's on the Hudson on May 12th, and I cannot put into words how exceptionally perfect everything was. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors right by the docks and Hudson River, and carried the dinner reception indoors. We had 92 guests and it was the perfect venue. Pamela provided a custom wedding from the food, down to the decor, to her professional friendly staff. When we first met with her, we briefly gave her an idea of what we were looking for - we did not want the typical cookie-cutter wedding with the boring 3 choices of entrees, etc. My husband is Filipino, and I am Italian, and we wanted to incorporate our cultures and our hobbies into the food. About a week after meeting with her, she gave us a sample menu that fitted us to the T! She was able to give us classic Filipino dishes, Italian dishes and Renaissance dishes (we love going to the Renaissance Faire in NY). We had a roasted pig and turkey legs! Pamela herself is a doll and absolute sunshine to work with! I feel like she was more than just a caterer, she was a friend and we miss her dearly! I want to recommend her to everyone who plans on getting married or just wants to have on on-or-offsite event. I could go on forever about Pamela and her staff. She is professional, innovative, brilliant, creative, and an exceptional chef! She adds her own touches to make your day priceless and something you'll never forget. Meet her once and you'll know why we feel so passionate about her. Our guests are still raving about how good the quality of food was and how beautiful the venue was. She truly made our day so special and will always hold a place in our heart! : )

Pamela and her staff provided the wedding that we wanted. As this was a second marriage we were looking for a simple celebration that was elegant but fun. Pamela understood this. All of our guests raved about the venue and party.

Pamela sat down with us and took the time to review types of weddings, locations and menu. She was by far the most helpful and accommodating catering venue we encountered. We chose to have our reception at her catering site. She was extremely helpful every step of the way. The food and service was amazing. My guests are still talking about it! The ambiance and warmth at the site was perfect for my autumn wedding. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone and would use her in any future endeavor.

My husband, family, friends, everyone who was at our wedding, were all so impressed by Pamela and her team. I want to throw more events where we can hire her! Her menu was thoughtful, inspired, and perfectly executed when it came time for our wedding. It was like having a trusted friend there making sure everything was just the way we wanted it. My husband and I also had a very specific vision for the decor and provided all of the materials ourselves. We were not able to help oversee the decoration process, but they did it perfectly! Of all the many intricate aspects of our wedding, the part that gave me NO stress (yes, believe it, NO STRESS) was anything in the hands of Pamela and her wonderful team. I wish I could say enough about how fantastic she is. If you are getting married anywhere in the vicinity of the Hudson Valley, you should (MUST!) use Pamela's Traveling Feast. I can olny give 5 stars? Pamela and her staff deserve more. I began planng our wedding from out of state, with Pamela this was effortless. every detial was perfectly suited to our wants. Having worked in the catering an wedding industry... I can not rave enough about how great Pamela's Traveling Feast was. The two most important things to us were the food (My family is REALLY in to great food.) and the overall expierence. We got married in August of 2006. Our wedding is the 'one' that evryone still talks about ~the food and service~ and to which all since have been compaired. Thank you Pamela for setting the bar so high!

Pamela and Stacy were warm, helpful and very organized. They knew what to do, when to do it and it came together perfectly. They were always ready to offer a word of encouragement, and to answer tough questions with good solutions. And, the food was exceptional. The staff serving the wedding was first rate and pleasant. In looking back over the year between the selection of Pamela and the day of the wedding, and all that they did for us to make the day perfect, we have great respect and admiration for their services.

I cannot express enough how wonderful our experience was with Pamela and her staff. The food was outstanding, the service was personable and professional, the cost is very reasonable, and the overall experience was priceless. Pamela is such a joy to work with. She understands your vision for the day, she is always available for any questions or concerns, she gives appropriate input, and treats her clients like family. We were very disappointed when we had to say "goodbye" at the end of the night. We will miss speaking and interacting with Pamela. Her staff is fantastic and it is obviously a true reflection of her.

The best wedding staff I've witnessed and I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding. And Pam does more than make the food; she really took a vested interest in making our wedding everything we wanted (and didn't want) it to be. A fantastic experience, and I wish we could do it again, every year.

I can't say enough great things about our experience with Pamela's Traveling Feast. They were enthusiastic, professional, and responsive through the entire planning process. Then when our wedding came, their staff went out of their way to take care of us and our guests and the food was great. We received so many compliments on everything from the food to the service. We hope to find many more occasions to work with them in the future.

The cost was very reasonable in comparison to other caterers and the fair price was not at the expense of the quality, as all of the food was delicious and very well-presented. The quality of service, responsiveness, flexibility and professionalism were all fantastic. I can't recall how many emails we sent and calls we made (there we're a lot and I'm sure I came across as annoying), but Pamela and her staff always answered quickly, showed patience for the emails and did all they could to ensure that everything would work out wonderfully, which it did. Planning a wedding always involves a lot of stress, but I think it would have been much worse if we weren't working with a staff that was so committed to the event. They made us feel like our wedding was their main focus even though I know they cater numerous weddings and other events, especially in June when our wedding took place. On the wedding day, they arrived at the venue very early to prepare for everything and coordinate with the other professional staff (i.e.: florist, DJ, bakery, photographer, etc.). We were worried that something would inevitably be forgotten simply due to how busy the day was, but they took care of everything and the end result was fantastic. The waitstaff and bartender werevery polite and seemed well-trained and experienced, but what impressed us the most was that the venue was an old historic mansion and had very minimal and dated kitchen facilities that must have been difficult to use to cook and serve for 115 people, but the staff pulled it off flawlessly. If and when we have another catered event, I would definitely want to use Pamela's again.

Pamela on the hudson catering is wonderful! I enjoyed my experience of working directly with Pamela when planning my wedding. Every bride wants everything perfect and she understands that. My husband and I had a very laid back wedding but we wanted to make sure that the food and liquor were great. My husband took me to Pamela's resturant for my birthday dinner and it was great. It was a no brainer for us to let them cater our wedding. The staff that pamela supplied us with was nice, accomidating, and fun. Pamela herself came to make sure that we were happy with our experience. Everyone at the wedding loved the food and the staff. My husband said the food was great. I didn't get a chance to eat due to my huge family all wanting to take pictures with me. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who is having an event. I really wish the resturant was still open so I could go back and have my wedding food every anniversary!

Pamela was incredible, going above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. The location of her restaurant is lovely, right on the Hudson, and guests were very enthusiastic about the food and everything else. It was wonderful planning with Pamela, which made a big difference leading up to the big day.

Everyone at the wedding raved about the food, which I was really not expecting given that Pamela had to cook out of a truck for my venue. The cake vendor she used was absolutely amazing. So many people said to me that it was the best wedding cake they've ever had and I completely agree! I can't wait to have another piece for our 1 year reunion. Pamela was completely calm during the entire planning process, and at first I was concerned but I realized quickly that it's not for lack of caring, it's because she's done this so many times that she's got it down like clockwork. On the day of our wedding, things were running a bit behind, and she adjusted things to make sure we didn't lose any time on the dance floor. I would highly recommend Pamela for the high quality service, great food and the value. I immediately knew I wanted to work with Pamela when we met, because she's so down to earth, which was an added benefit for the whole process. Pamela really worked with us to make sure we had what we were excited about that was within our price range. I hope you are as lucky as I was to have Pamela cater my wedding!

Pamela and her team executed our wedding day flawlessly. I had to do nothing on the day of the wedding because she and Jayme had everything down exactly the way my husband and I envisioned. We had 3 stations of food that represented our cultures and the food was amazing. Pamela and her staff did an amazing job with using extra flowers the florist gave to incorporate them into the food stations and trays during cocktail hour. Once they arrived, her staff were like little elves getting all the tables set and decor out and hung up. It was amazing to look outside and see their fast progress. Jayme made sure that me and my fiance had everything we needed as we got ready for our first look. I highly recommend and trust them for any party no matter how big or small.

Our wedding was beautiful! We knew it would be pretty but when we saw the final product we were overwhelmed by how amazing it all looked put together! Jayme was great through out the night, she made sure we took time to eat and had the whole night running so smoothly. The food was so good and I heard the cookies were amazing, I never made it to the table to try one but I wish i did! All in all we could not have asked for a better wedding day, Pamela and her team did a wonderful job.

Our guests said we had the best wedding food they have ever had. The menu was creative and delicious. Pamela is very easy to work with but be careful when dealing with her assistant Jayme. She would "send me emails" about things like rentals, I would never get them and she would never follow up. I had to do a lot of extra work to make sure she was on track with things. She also doesn't return emails in a timely fashion. Sometimes a week and a half.

I didn't end up using this vendor so I can't comment on the food itself. I set up an appointment to inquire about the services and was told that I would be receiving an email about pricing. Fast forward 3 weeks later and I receive an email from someone different who works there giving me a number of someone I could call for their services. I'm sure the food tastes good, but poor customer service.

Our experience with Pamela was a bride's worst nightmare. The initial conversations & meetings seemed optimistic, but as soon as the wedding was a few months away everything started going down hill. After placing a rental order for a standard catered event, Pamela added over $2,000 worth of rentals to our order. Most of the items were used, however over a dozen racks of glassware were never even opened. The day of the wedding, Pamela arrived on a truck with 4 bald tires & no oil onto the estate which was downright dangerous. We delivered their cash payment as promised the moment she arrived. 30 mins before the ceremony Pamela was trying to get in contact with me through my family members who were at the venue because apparently she didn't receive enough money. After being promised a maitre de to help the flow of the wedding, the groom had to tell the maitre d's (Pamela's daughters) to help him get the wedding started because they were standing around. After the ceremony the groom was treated with complete disrespect by all of Pamela's staff. During the reception, Pamela came up to me & demanded more money, stating that I had not paid her enough & we had agreed on a higher amount at our meeting 3 days prior. At said meeting, I verbally confirmed with Pamela the remaining balance, with both the groom & my mom present. She confirmed & the number was the same as the original invoice I received. After starting a fight with me at my own reception, claiming a new invoice had been sent (it hadn't) & we had agreed on a new balance due to the size of the venue (we hadn't) Pamela left the wedding early. She took the extra alcohol she had promised to leave, dumped the ice & stole a cooler amongst other rental items and left 4 hours left of clean up for my family & I. I have never before been so disappointed in a vendor, & I work as a wedding photographer. My rental company refuses to work with Pamela ever again because of her unprofessionalism.
