Wedding planning and wedding days can be stressful, Pam and Heather made all of my worries disappear. From the first time I spoke with Pam I felt instantly at ease. Pam has the most magical way of making you feel so beautiful that I will eternally be grateful for. The best of the best

ATTENTION BRIDES: Pam was our wedding photographer and we absolutely loved her! Her photos speak for themselves – her eye for beauty and color and posing is out of this world but what I wasn’t expecting when we hired her is how absolutely wonderful she is…I mean she is just a wonderful, fun, honest, friendly human being!

From day one when we had our introductory call, she answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with the entire process. From our engagement photos to our wedding, she stayed in contact with us so we were never in the dark. Further, on a personal note, we were a COVID couple unfortunately so we had to postpone and reschedule our wedding a year later than originally thought – not only did she make sure she was available for our updated wedding date, she honored her original pricing (which meant so very much to me as I had lost my job!)

On our wedding day, she was on time and her and her assistant (who is her daughter and who is just as awesome as her mom!) were on the go taking pics, mingling and helping me out (literally when I say her daughter helped carry my bridal stuff like shoes and even our drinks to make sure my groom could help me down the hill and so I could pick up my big dress and move around for shots I am not lying…how much I appreciated them going above and beyond with even the little things like that as it is stressful enough being a bride!!)

Our final wedding photos will available soon but the few “teasers” we have received from Pam so far are gorgeous – we are super excited to get the rest of them!!

We loved Pam and her daughter so much that we are going to be hiring them again as soon as we get pregnant for maternity shots (hopefully sooner rather than later) as well as family photos in the future. We feel so lucky we have a photographer that we trust for every future milestone in our lives 

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW GIFTED THIS WOMAN IS. BRIDES IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPHER, LOOK NO FURTHER. PAM IS THE BEST OF THE BEST.

The best!

Pam did absolutely amazing with our wedding photography! She was an absolute joy to work with, and did amazing with my photo-shy husband. She was a great help in putting together our timeline and helping the group photos run smoothly the day of! We are so incredibly happy with the end product. Exquisite and Extraordinary Photography

Pam takes exquisite photographs that can only be described as artistry. We used Pam as our wedding photographer and I am so grateful we found her because there is no comparison to her work! She is super sweet and a total force – all things that you want in a photographer to make you feel comfortable during one of the most intense days of your life. She finds ways to apply her photography skill to make her subjects glow in the sunlight and, at our venue, it made a magical location and event look purely ethereal. Someone you can trust!

This will be a long one! I cannot even begin to express how happy we were that we could secure Pam as our photographer. We never even met in person until our engagement session, and let me tell you…the second we stepped out of the car it felt like we were visiting an old family friend that we’d known our whole lives. We were immediately greeted with hugs and compliments, and before we could blink, we were shooting. We weren’t posed, we weren’t uncomfortable…we were just there, being ourselves, and Pam was a fly on the wall capturing the whole thing. And the photos were amazing. Fast forward six months down the road, and Pam asks us to fill out a questionnaire about our wedding day, including a timeline of how we want everything to go. We did that, and she sent back her suggestions based on her years of experience covering weddings, and we didn’t hesitate whatsoever to follow those suggestions and run the day based on her timeline. And everything happened SO effortlessly and smoothly. And talk about a FLY ON THE WALL! When we did our first look, Pam was standing in front of me as I broke down in tears BEFORE even seeing my bride. But I didn't even realize she was there, and it made for some raw, emotional photos that help to capture the day. I am so happy that we have those photos to look back on, and so glad we hired someone that made me feel comfortable enough to show my truest emotions in front of a camera. And when we got our preview album back (over 100 photos and just 10 days after the wedding), we weren't just in awe at the rich, timeless colors and incredible detail in our photos, but we were amazed at all of the things she captured when we didn’t even know she was there. There were so many photos that made us say “how did she get that??” To say we were impressed would be an understatement. Perhaps, though, the best part about hiring Pam is that she’s someone you can trust. You’re investing money into wedding photography, so it’s important to hire someone who really knows what they’re doing, and Pam does! We didn’t have to stress about our schedule delays or worry that not everything will be captured, because we knew Pam had it all under control. She’s been in the business for a long time and really knows the best ways to do things, so trust her and listen to her because she knows her stuff! You will not regret hiring Pam Cooley for your wedding!

Pam is the best!

Pam is truly a one of a kind person and photographer. Her past work speaks for itself as all of her photos are stunning.
Her ability to connect with people through email is impressive and even more strong in person. When we first met her for our engagement shoot the second we stepped out of the car it felt as though we’ve known her our whole lives. Pam made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and is a blast to work with.
She was so helpful in providing outfit suggestions for our engagement shoot as well as our day after wedding shoot and created a timeline for our wedding that made everything run so smoothly. Pam traveled to our destination wedding in the smokies and had excellent ideas of where to shoot different photos. My wedding party had so much fun working with her as well. Passionate, fun, talented, vibrant!

I could go on and on with words to describe Pam as a photographer and as a person! She was the perfect fit for our wedding. She is the type of person you meet once and feel like you've known her for years. Our engagement shoot was the first taste of what an amazing photographer she was. We had to reschedule multiple times due to weather issues, and she was extremely flexible and go with the flow! When we finally got around to doing the shoot, both my husband and I were a little nervous we would look/be awkward in front of the camera. Pam literally makes you feel like a million bucks. She is so fun and spunky and her commentary helps you relax, have fun, and just love on each other. The wedding was no different. A few days before the wedding, she spent time on the phone with me (probably a good 45 minutes) walking through the plan and putting my mind at ease. I had a lot of different ideas about where I wanted photos and she helped me simplify and gave me confidence in our choices! She also has such an eye for creative places that I knew I could trust her judgement (which is sometimes hard for me being such a planner!). Lastly the photos. They were just absolutely breathtaking. They completely captured every little aspect of our wedding and we will truly treasure them forever. Overall, I can't say enough great things about Pam. You will want her energetic spirit and easy-going nature around on a day as crazy as your wedding!

Unforgettable

I cannot say enough good things about Pam, I saw that she had shot a wedding at the same location we chose to get married at, and I instantly fell in love and I KNEW I had to have her as our photographer. Not once did we ever feel nervous or awkward in front of the camera, she made us feel comfortable right off the bat. This was an emotional time for us, because my (the bride) grandmother passed away the day before the wedding, and she did such a fantastic job at capturing her presence within the sunlight. The photos that she took were beyond what we ever could have imagined, and they show us as a couple so well. Going with Pam as our photographer was the best decision we could have ever made, she managed to capture every emotion that was experienced that day. Her light hearted quips and positive attitude kept us in the moment that we will forever remember.

Where do I begin. From the first email Pam’s spirit and love for what she does showed through. When we first met it was like saying hello to an old friend, and trust me this is so important when you have a camera in your face:) I can honestly say that without Pam, my wedding day would have looked a lot different, she was on top of everything, from the timeline to making sure we knew what to expect. Pam is absolutely AMAZING! She travelled from IL to CA for our destination wedding and I’m so glad we brought her with! Her work is incredible and she’s the sweetest! Pam was amazing! Even though she lives in Peoria, she drove hours to the Chicago suburbs to shoot our wedding in the June heat! Starting with our engagement session, Pam knew how to make us feel relaxed in front of the camera. She’s goofy and silly and she makes you laugh. While shooting our wedding, I love that Pam captured so many candid moments. She moves around so quickly and quietly and that helps her catch people in their honest expressions. She is quick to process your photos, too. Our wedding was June 9, 2018 and she already had beautiful photos up on her blog by June 25! There aren’t enough positive things to say about Pam Cooley Photography! Wedding planning is overwhelming, but the second we booked with Pam, we knew our photography was completely under control. We weren’t even 20 minutes into our engagement session before my fiancé (at the time) whispered to me that he wanted to book her officially for the wedding! .. and he was the nervous one! She made our engagement session so easy and nerve free and welcomed our two dogs like they were her own!!! Her PHOTOS speak for themselves! So dreamy and amazing! ... Pam even took it upon herself to create a timeline to follow since I wasn’t the best bride at all of the details!! ... THEN! The wedding day. Holy smokes! She was so easy going, welcomed our crazy family AND gave us direction when we needed it. What more could you ask for?! The best part?! We didn’t spend hours upon hours doing awkward poses or making our friends and family take loads of pictures.. we got what we needed quickly and they are AMAZING! We found ourselves stalking her FB/IG page for sneak peeks and drooling over all of them! And we got our pictures SO FAST! ... I would recommend Pam Cooley ten times over for engagement/wedding/anything!

Pam came with me to Mexico and well before then, I knew I loved her. I was so nervous and I remember planning a photographer and thinking, “It doesn’t matter what goes wrong ... I just need good pictures.” With Pam, I received the most gorgeous moments captured on camera. Since we first met Pam, she has been a joy to work with. Coming to our engagement session we were very nervous as we didn't often show affection in front of anyone, let alone a stranger. She instantly made us feel at ease and had us laughing the entire time. Her constant words of affirmation were so encouraging and she made us feel like naturals. After that, we were completely ready for our wedding and, thankfully, not the least bit nervous. Having her there was so comforting to us, knowing that every important moment would be captured; and she knew exactly what we wanted. Each time she gave us the photos back incredibly fast for the amount of photos that were taken, and the amount of time it must have taken to edit. She is always easy to get a hold of and has become a great friend to us. We can't wait to take family photos with her in the years to come. It is so fantastic to know we found a lifelong photographer and not just a "day of" photographer. To top it off, I personally met with her to do an outside boudoir shoot and woah!!! Pam was absolutely wonderful to work with! Prior to our wedding she was professional, informative, and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. I loved working with Pam for my wedding and she is one of the reasons why the day went so smoothly! She is very responsive to email and I love the quick peeks she gives online of the pictures the same day of the shoot (engagement or wedding). Pam is so fabulous! We had such a great time working with Pam, and our photos turned out better than we ever could have imagined. Pam was so incredibly easy to work with and professional. I always felt like she knew exactly what she was doing, and it was so easy to trust her and let her do her job. I never felt like I needed to direct her on what to do. It was so nice to sit back and let her do her thing so we could enjoy our day. I know I was a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but Pam will instantly make you feel comfortable. I went to a wedding recently where the photographer and videographer were extremely disruptive and invasive of the guest's personal space. Pam was the exact opposite, during the ceremony and reception we hardly noticed she was there! I personally prefer this because not only are your guests more comfortable, but your photos turn out so much better. When we got our photos back, I teared up a little because they were so wonderful and brought back all the great moments from our wedding day. Pam is absolutely worth every penny, you will not be disappointed!! After all is said and done, your wedding photos are the one thing you have to look back on forever.

Its hard to put into words how wonderful our experience on our wedding day with Pam was and how amazing her work is. Pam puts her heart and soul into each and every wedding or event she is photographing. Our wedding photos were absolutely beautiful and unique. Even more important, Pam captured every moment of our special day. She was always open to ideas I found or different pictures I wanted and was always available to talk day or night. Pam is fabulous. If you have researched her work, most of you already know this. From the moment I met her, I knew she was perfect for my fiancée and I. She has a very kindred spirit. She made us feel very comfortable. I feel this is the most important aspect to consider when picking a photographer. We could just be us! The day of our wedding Pam was very organized and calm. She always made sure that we were within our time frame for our itinerary schedule. Pam is very fun and offers many unique ideas for photographs. I encourage you to meet her and view her work. Once you do, you will know she is right for you!

Quality of Service- I believe that Pam is one of the best photographers in Illinois. Her work has been featured in numerous blogs.

Responsiveness- Pam is very easy to get in touch with, both via phone and email. Pam also posts pictures in a timely manner. She posted a preview to our wedding pictures in less than one week!

Professionalism- Pam is professional is her dress, conversation, and demeanor.

Value- Pam offers a cd with copyright, prints, albums, boudoir, after sessions, etc… I feel that she offers something for everyone’s budget.

Flexibility- Pam is very flexible. She worked with my fiancée and I’s schedule for scheduling engagement pictures. We also changed our itinerary for the day of the wedding and she said no worries! She is open to new ideas and locations.

Let me start by saying that it was cold and very windy on my wedding day. Fortunately, thanks to Pam's talent and competence, most of my outside pictures look like they were taken on a beautiful sunny summer day! The inside pictures turned out equally as beautiful, as she is great with special lighting and dark venues. We hired a lighting company to compliment the decoration, and asked Pam to capture the colors on the walls and tables, and wow - the colors are perfectly reflected in every picture.

She is much more affordable than other well-known photographers in the area, and the quality of her work is as good - if not better - than the work of those expensive photographers. Most importantly, you can choose to purchase the CD with the pictures, which is a huge plus, and a service not offered by many photographers in the area.

She has a great personality and does not waste time. You tell her what you want and what you would hope for, and she gets the job done without procrastination.

I would definitely recommend her.

I could go on and on about Pam! She is really a treasure to Central Illinois! Her caliber of work is above and beyond most photographers in this area. Pam has a passion and an "eye" for photographing couples. She runs her own business herself, is excited about each of her couples, and stays up-to-date on wedding trends and what brides and grooms want when it comes to their wedding photography.

On your wedding day, Pam and her assistant Melody will take as much or as little time for pictures as you want. It is all up to you but of course they will be excited to shoot as much as possible. For us, we really wanted great pictures so Pam was a perfect match for us. We set aside a lot of time for pictures and let me say, it was SO fun and SO worth it! Our pictures are amazing - we have people telling us that they should be in a magazine! These are timeless photographs we will love forever.

Is Pam Cooley the "cheapest" in the area? No. However, in our opinion, she is a steal. Included in all of her packages are the rights to the photos, full day coverage on your wedding day, a 2nd shooter, an engagement session, and different albums to choose from, etc. Not to mention her work - stunning! In addition, something that was really nice is that her packages are very straightforward. Many photographers have confusing packages and a la cart options that are annoying to sort through when you are trying to book a photographer. Example: In addition to their base price (which most of the time isn't cheap to begin with) if you want them for an extra hour it will be "x" amount more or if you want them to bring an assistant it will be another $500. You never really know if it's going to be worth it to spend the extra money on one of these options. It is the opposite with Pam. There is no need to keep adding because you get so much upfront. And don't feel like you need to get her most expensive package in order to have amazing pictures and a fabulous experience. Obviously, we highly recommend Pam because of her passion for her work, her enthusiasm, and the quality of her work vs. her prices. I'm so glad we found her!

Within the first 5 minutes of meeting Pam we knew that she as a person was as Beautiful and Unique as her work. We were blown away by our Wedding photos! I witnessed Pam Cooley in action at my Best Friend's Wedding back in 2006. When it came to my day, I knew she would be the perfect fit but I had to throw a wrench in the mix because I wanted a destination wedding! And Pam agreed even though it would be her first experience as a destination photographer. From the very second she arrived. . .she looked over the hotel and beach and found the very best locations for us. She was perfectly professional but truly made my now husband and I feel so comfortable! When looking for a photographer, you want someone that "gets you", looks for your best features to display, and naturally portrays you and your loved one in love and that is what you get in Pam Cooley!

I found Pam via a wedding planner that my cousin was using, and I cannot explain how grateful I am that I found her. She was highly recommended by this wedding planner, and I cannot describe how pleased my husband and I are with Pam's quality of photography, in addition to her excellent personality. Pam was our photographer for our wedding and did an exceptional job! Pam was by far the best decision I could have made when choosing a photographer. She's got it all!
Not only were our pictures amazing (and affordable!) but working with Pam was a blast! We had so much fun during our session we didn't want it to end! She has a way of making you feel comfortable with her. We felt like we were with our friend who just happened to be our photographer! Pam was willing to go above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! She was available from the very beginning to answer any questions we had and made sure we were always informed of all the details. Getting together with Pam was never an issue because she was always willing to work around our schedule to make everything more convenient for us. She made the whole process a breeze! No stress! She knows what she's doing, and is good at it! She's professional, and fun! We definitely got more than we could have hoped for.
Working with Pam you can tell photography isn't a "job" to her, it's her passion. And that passion is what makes Pam Cooley Photography better than the rest! I highly recommend Pam for any occasion! Pam is very talented and we were blessed to have such lovely photos. Besides the specific group shots and bride and groom session, I didn't notice her taking pictures throughout the day so I was amazed at the volume of images once I saw the gallery. She was very accommodating throughout the process and also had valuable space maximizing suggestions for our cake, gift table, and general reception set up, based on how she has seen previous events arranged at our venue. So in her relatively short time in business, she has become very knowledgeable about different settings in the Peoria area. Because most of the pictures are candid, it seems like I'm there again and each time I look at the gallery I see people in the background I didn't realize or recall being at our huge wedding. So it is nice to have Pam's work as a record of the day and to bring back beautiful, vivid memories.

Deciding on a photographer wasn't easy for us. People say that at the end of the day all that's left are the pictures, but still we were not sure how much of an investment we should make. We booked a intermediate package with Pam that included our engagement session, full day coverage, print credit, and album. We were still a little nervous about our decision but as soon as met Pam at our engagement session all worries went out of the window and Pam solidified our decision. Our engagement pictures turned out beautiful and I can't stop hearing how great and amazing they look! Our wedding day was fabolous... we were comfortable working with Pam, no forced posed pictures, no cheesy wedding pics. The entire wedding party had fun interacting with her! We would highly recommend Pam to someone that is looking for beautiful and artful wedding pictures.

Absolutly beautiful photos that look like they belong in a magazine! This woman was great to work with. Didn't even notice she was taking photos during the ceremony. And loved the candid shots. Pam is a dream to work with! I was one of those brides that had been dreaming about her wedding since she was a little girl. When it came time to pick a photographer, I thought it would be one of the hardest things to find. I found a couple pictures online that Pam had taken of another wedding and I was in heaven!!! Someone who had my taste in photography and she was in the same town as our wedding!! What could be better?!? Pam was truely amazing to work with. She made us feel right at home in front of the camera because she just told us to be ourselves. No funny poses or anything. Our pictures came out amazing! Nothing but great experiences with Pam. She is extremely nice and, not to mention, a great photographer. We booked Pam just after she started photographing weddings. We took a look at some of the other pictures she had taken and loved them. We got and excellent deal on our wedding picutres that included an engagement session. She also offered us the option of buying the negatives (well a CD), which we did. In my opinion, camera sessions are akward. Pam really makes you feel comfortable while she shoots. Highly recommended.

Pam is fabulous. We discovered her online and instantly fell in love with her sunny, soft, romantic style.

She's incredibly easy to work with. Pam makes everyone feel comfortable, whether they enjoy being the focal point of the camera or not.

The weather on our wedding day ended up being very unpredictable and rainy, but Pam stepped in and helped us maximize the few opportunities that we had to get the pictures we wanted.

Choosing a photographer for my wedding was probably one of the hardest decisions I came across when wedding planning. Wedding pictures last a lifetime, and I wanted to make sure my pictures were the BEST of the best. My husband and I entered a contest Pam Cooley Photography was holding, because we really loved her work yet we were financially strapped a bit as we were paying for our entire wedding on our own. I never thought we would win, but we DID! And I was ecstatic! Pam does a wonderful job of capturing her subjects' personalities in the most beautiful settings. It rained on my wedding day, but we trudged outside in the rain and took pictures anyway. They turned out amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Engagement pictures looked good and most of wedding pictures looked good but business side is horrible! Communication wasn't the best. Didn't give us our details for engagement pictures until a couple of days before the shoot. She emailed us a couple of months before the wedding saying she accidentally double booked our wedding day and that she was going to add 2 hours of coverage and give us her 2 assistants. She said that no money would be deducted since adding the 2 hours and giving us 2 photographers (even though they were assistants) made up for the mistake. She said the other couples wedding was out of town so she had to take that one and also said that the other couple booked 2 months before we did. Then come to find out the day of the wedding the other wedding was in town and the other couple in fact did not book 2 months before us since they got engaged after we booked her. When she was confronted about lying to us she stated that she got that couple mixed up with another one and that she's human and makes mistakes. In my opinion a professional should not be making that many mistakes when dealing with people's weddings and definitely shouldn't be making mistakes like that. Most professionals have paper calendars so they can double check dates and also would double check all details. We had a horrible experience and would not recommend to anyone.

I would not recommend Pam Cooley at all. From the very beginning of booking Pam there was no communication. My husband and I were hoping that after the communication issues, we would at least receive beautiful images to cherish forever, but close to half of the images from our wedding day are blurry and she barely got any images of my family other than the ones I forced her to take. She left the reception without telling us and as a result, I didn't get a picture with my grandpa who was unable to attend the ceremony due to health issues. On top of this, prior to the wedding, I scheduled our engagement session over 3 months in advance to secure the date and time we wanted. She contacted me less than a week before the date telling me that I was going to have to move the location and time to better accommodate her, and if I didn't, I'd have to reschedule. Because of this, I had to take time off of work to make the engagement session. From there, I didn't hear from Pam until I reached out to her a week before my wedding, sending her my wedding day timeline which included the list of family pictures my husband and I wanted. Our list ONLY entailed immediate family. Her response was extremely unprofessional...I was scolded by Pam, saying she doesn't "EVER" take family pictures like this. I had to push/fight to receive the pictures I wanted on MY wedding day and was made to feel like my wants as a customer didn't matter. And after paying nearly $4,000 for her services, I was shocked. When I confronted Pam about our less than satisfactory experience, she denied everything, saying that she provided nothing less than excellent customer service. On top of it all, it took an entire year to receive our contracted items (prints and a book), after being promised to receive them within 6 months. When I followed up with her, she told me "things do NOT always go as planned and delays happen." In conclusion, we had a REALLY awful experience.
