As the bride and groom, we wanted to create a truly unforgettable environment for our big day as we’ve been told it goes by in the blink of an eye! We were fortunate enough to receive a recommendation from our wedding venue, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, for an incredibly talented florist team, Palette of Petals, who exceeded our every expectation! We mostly interacted with Shannon from Palette of Petals, and what struck us most about Shannon was her ability to capture, transform and bring to life the ideas we had for the vision of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception without missing a beat. Her attention to detail and artistic eye brought out the smallest, most tender moments that may have otherwise been overlooked. I received so many compliments on my bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, and even the boutonnieres!
Shannon and her team are not only masters in creation, but they are also true professionals. They arrived on time, maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, and worked tirelessly to make every small detail look perfect. Shannon’s level of communication is impeccable as she was always willing to answer an email or call whenever we had a question, so we knew we were in good hands the day of the wedding. They were also true champions to set up (and move from one location to another in between events) many high caliber floral designs through an outdoor wedding, on July 12th, in Virginia! Shannon provided many different ideas and suggestions to make sure we could bring our vision to life in the best and most efficient way possible while staying within budget. She asked an abundance of great questions throughout the process to get a feel for what were our absolute “must haves” and spent a long time working with us to perfect our “vision board” so she could bring it to life.

Simply Amazing
My (now) husband and I hired Palette of Petals to be the florist for our wedding at the Cavalier Hotel in March 2024. From the second I looked them up on Instagram, I KNEW they would be the perfect fit for us. Shannon and her team are incredible at what they do. In the months leading up to our wedding, they worked with us to match our vision through the creation of our very own Pinterest board. They were highly communicative throughout the whole process. On the day of my bridal portraits, as well as our wedding day, they were both prompt and efficient, working tirelessly behind the scenes to create beautiful arrangements and spaces that everyone raved about in the days after our wedding. I hired PoP for my wedding and was absolutely over-the-moon thrilled with them. I'm not very creative, and struggled a lot trying to articulate my vision for our wedding. I knew what I wanted in my head but had no idea how that would translate into real life. After only one meeting with Shannon, she already had turned my vision into a concrete reality. I gave her full reign to do whatever she thought looked best, and wow did she deliver. Everything came out even more beautiful than I imagined in my wildest dreams. PoP is also extremely easy to work with, efficient, professional, and easy to contact. After one meeting with PoP I knew the flowers and decor of my wedding was taken care of and I could RELAX. They're also super reasonable with their prices and are willing to work with each bride within their budget. I chose items from all three packages they provided me (from practical to luxurious) and every single item was still beautiful and well done. These ladies are true visionaries and incredibly gifted with their craft. If you have the opportunity to book these ladies and work with them, do it! You will NOT regret it!

Flowers for a Picture-Perfect Day
Shannon Hart is a true artist. From the initial step of discussing the bride’s vision, she asked great questions, provided pins, and sent pictures of an event she had done that she thought we would like. The final product provided a bridal bouquet that blew us away. It was beautiful and was even more bountiful that we expected. The bridesmaid bouquets were more beautiful than many bridal bouquets I have seen. The corsages and boutonnieres were gorgeous. The sprays provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The flowers on the wedding cake were a work of art. An added touch of rose petals strewn over tables provided a lift to tables throughout the venue. Using the bridesmaids’ bouquets as centerpieces for some of the reception tables provided important cost savings. Throughout the process, Shannon was quick to address questions and make recommendations. You can believe all the reviews you read about Palette of Petals. Seasoned pros keeping it FRESH and fun
Palette of Petals, Shannon, and her entire team are A+ the absolute best. They were able to take and transform our initial vision for our large church and then large industrial reception venue. But they transformed it to fit our backyard home setting when we pivoted due to covid. That’s how you can tell a vendor is truly fab - when they pivot during Covid without missing a beat. My family used POP five years ago for my sisters wedding and I knew we had to have them again for my wedding. The colors and choice of flowers were beautiful and the quality of the florals was unmatched. My mom is an avid gardener and loves arranging fresh cut flowers and learning more in her garden club. She can snuff out the not so great and let me tell you she was thrilled with Palette of Petals. They are so creative, inventive and were classic at the same time to match our style. Just so fresh and with it and truly love their craft. A real delight and a joy to work with. Even broke down pricing so we could choose between modest, moderate, or full-on for each different aspect - my bouquet, the church pews, the altar, the wreath on the house, the center pieces, they are so respectful and attend to every detail. Beyond Expectations!
Shannon and her team at Palette of Petals were an integral part of creating our daughter’s “dreamy, romantic” vision for her wedding. We had no idea where to even start with floral and Shannon was able to guide us through the floral process with ease. She gave us options to help keep within our budget and created the most extraordinary fairy tale on the wedding day. Beautiful white flowers and greenery everywhere, lanterns, candles and the most amazing bouquets I’ve ever seen. My husband never understood why we needed so many flowers, but when he saw the magic that Shannon created, he said “OK, I get it now!” I couldn’t give them a stronger recommendation. Simply Gorgeous
Shannon and her team were simply amazing. We let her know what type of flowers we were thinking - blue orchids, and she added in calla lilies. We did three different sized vases with blue orchids and floating candles as our center pieces. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined! The bouquets, coursages, and boutonniere's were absolutely gorgeous. The colors were so vibrant. Shannon and her team also did an amazing job on the arch with the blue and silver fabric and the flowers. The flowers came inside after the ceremony and doubled as decorations on the head table. She also added in some orchids around the cake and even added some on top of the cake. It was just simply gorgeous. Thank you so much!!!!

Flowers Were Gorgeous
Shannon and her team were amazing! They stayed with us through two date changes, and I'm so glad we were able to keep them as our florist! I was very nervous about picking flowers for our wedding because I knew nothing about them! But Shannon was so helpful during our initial meeting - she asked if I had a starting point (and I did - I knew I wanted sunflowers but that was it), and was able to run with it. She even created a Pinterest page specifically for our wedding where she uploaded different pictures of flowers so I could get an idea of what the bouquets would look like. The final results blew me away and I was so thrilled with the gorgeous bouquet I got! Shannon even worked with us to add a mantle decoration very last minute because the weather was threatening to have us move the ceremony inside. That is what ended up happening, but we were able to have a beautifully decorated space.

Amazing team
Palette of Petals created the most wonderful bridal bouquet and floral arrangements as centerpiece for our wedding. We primarily worked with Shannon Hart who is awesome since she sat with us in our initial consultation to discuss what our wedding vision was, showed us photos of flowers and made good recommendations. Despite the fact that we had three wedding postponements and she had to made quite a few revisions, she was still very accommodating and understanding. The bridal bouquet even the toss bouquet looked beautiful that even my now husband preferred to have my bouquet preserve. The arch arrangement and reception centerpieces were all so beautiful that we received a lot of compliments from our guests. The cost is definitely worth it given the great customer service and products. We definitely recommend Shannon of Palette of Petals to couples who are getting married in Hampton Roads area. You will never be disappointed with the quality that you will get from these amazing team.

Choosing Palette of Petals was hands-down the easiest decision of the wedding planning process! I met with Shannon to discuss our vision for the big day (which was nothing more than color swatches and glass pieces for the tables). Her instant enthusiasm set her apart from the other florists. On top of that, Shannon was completely respectful of our budget. We didn’t provide much guidance on specific flowers, and we truly didn’t need to. Shannon and her team created absolute masterpieces. When I had no idea what the bouquet of my dreams would look like, they created it. Shannon went above and beyond our expectations to create a bouquet for my bridal portraits, too. Our Flowers Were Absolutely Gorgeous!
Palette of Petals made all my flower dreams come true! I met with Shannon and I immediately knew I wanted Palette of Petals to do the flowers for our wedding. She listened to my vision and everything was done perfectly! My bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were so beautiful. The colors of the roses were exactly what I pictured. We had an arch for the ceremony and it was so simple and classic with the perfect amount of flowers and greenery. My husband and I got to take a sneak peek of the reception space before any guests arrived upstairs. When we walked in we were blown away by how incredibly gorgeous the room looked. Our centerpieces were gorgeous and you could tell so much work was put into making them. I had contacted Shannon and asked her opinion on table numbers for the tables at the reception. Simply Beautiful!
The team at Palette of Petals were exceptional from our first visit with them. We had a lovely meeting with Shannon to talk about our vision and vibe we wanted. She provided us with estimates and continued to work with us as we added or revised certain aspects.
The day of the wedding, I walked into the venue and saw ALL of the flowers and her team smiling. My family loves flowers and the team had only made a beautiful venue even MORE beautiful. They stayed during the ceremony so that they could ensure the room flip was not only completed, but was perfect! What better service could you want?
What was most impressive was the artistic nature of the floral arrangement and the quality of flowers. I love roses and THOSE roses were the biggest and most beautiful roses I have ever seen. After the reception, I had selected certain family members to have some of the arrangements. They were in awe and said, "Oh my goodness... what a wedding favor THIS is!" The arrangements lasted over the next week and kept the wedding glow alive!

Palette of Petals was such a joy to work with! They created the most beautiful floral arrangements for our big day. Each flower was in full bloom. Our vision was romantic flowers with an emphasis on greenery to accent our outdoor venue. They perfectly understood what we wanted and we were so excited when we saw the final arrangements the day of! They also worked closely with us to create 3 different centerpiece layouts for the guest tables which all turned out great. These ladies are absolutely fantastic!! I still cannot get over how well they made everything look, and our wedding was almost a month ago. They made our wedding look like a dream! I told Shannon at Palette of Petals what I wanted for my wedding. I didn't know specific flowers, I basically just had colors in mind and a feeling I had about flowers and my wedding. My flowers were perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything more. I loved them, I wish I could have kept them forever. Every time I see my wedding photos, I think how perfect they are. I've had so many compliments on them, I honestly couldn't imagine anything different. She worked with me on the price I wanted to spend and gave me a practical, a moderate and a luxury price options for every arrangement. I could pick and choose which ones I wanted. I chose practical for my table arrangements, since I had 16, and they couldn't have been more beautiful so if you are worried that you might be missing out if you go with the practical flowers, you definitely aren't and you won't be disappointed. I loved working with Shannon and her team. I'm not very good with flowers, but Shannon was great helping me pick ones that were in season and worked with my theme. I liked that she created an idea board on Pinterest with the flowers we discussed, so I could see them before making a decision. She also let me know when I needed to determine how many tables we were going to have in case we had less and I could get some money back. You will not be disappointed with Palette.

When I saw my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets & my floral centerpieces, I was blown away. They were the most gorgeous flower arrangements I had ever seen & they were exactly what I had envisioned for my big day! The team at Palette of Petals was so friendly & accommodating, even making slight changes for me the few weeks beforehand. I wish I could give them 10 stars because they were absolutely incredible! Absolutely use them for your big day- you won't regret it for a second!

I didn't have the biggest budget, so Shannon drafted different options for me, all which included what I truly wanted. I felt I got so much more than I paid for. What beautiful wedding flowers! When I first saw my bouquets and the bridesmaids bouquets, I immediately thought, "this is even more stunning than I imagined!". Palette of Petals helped me create the pretty pink wedding I'd been dreaming of and the colors looked gorgeous next to all of the dresses. The flowers for the ceremony and reception were equally stunning and created the romantic vision we were going for. Not only were we able to use the flowers again the next day for a family brunch, but my mom reported that they actually lasted a few weeks and looked great in her house! Shannon was very helpful and worked with us over and over to get this just right and within our budget.
Thank you Palette of Petals- I will definitely use this company again for future flower needs!

I am so glad we had Palette of Petals for our wedding! Shannon was awesome to work with. She was so helpful and easy going. Go with Palette of Petals!!!! I swear, finding a good florist for a wedding in the Norfolk/Chesapeake/Virginia Beach area was an absolute nightmare! I probably met (or attempted to meet) with about 5 or 6 different florists. First off, many were rude or treated me disrespectfully because I did not know a lot about flowers and had a lot of questions. Shannon was so laid back, understanding, and kind that I almost cried out of relief when I found her! The Palette of Petals team was always courteous towards me, even when my mother and I would both call to switch up the centerpiece idea and ask a lot of questions! :-)

This way it you don't speak flowers and say stuff like "the pretty textured purples ones" like me they make sure they know exactly what you're talking about! I loved my flowers and got a lot of compliments. Also they worked with my budget! Arrangements can be pricey so we bought the same flowers they used in the bouquets and arranged centerpieces ourselves. They did the hard part of conditioning and cutting we just put them together! It was a pleasure working with them and would definitely recommend!

Thank you thank you to all the beautiful ladies at Palette of Petals. This review is long over due. I live in Arizona, and my husband and I always dreamed of getting married on the beach. We decided to get married in Sandbridge, VA on a private beach. Needless to say it was not easy being 3000 miles away and planning a wedding. Shannon and all the ladies at Palette of Petals made things so easy and amazing. I emailed her over all my ideas and hoped for the best. Needless to say my wedding did not turn out the way I had hoped or planned, thank you hurricane joaquin, but my flowers were amazing. It was mass chaos the day before the wedding, going from a beach ceremony to a makeshift ballroom, but palette of petals didn't bat an eye in helping reassure me they would be anywhere we needed them to be. With all that was thrown on my plate the day of the wedding it was amazing to open the doors to my ceremony and see how beautiful the space was decorated with my flowers. They came in with all the last minute changes and made the space perfect. The flowers were above and beyond gorgeous and they went above and beyond to make everything as simple as possible for me. Thank you for being amazing ladies, you are so appreciated.

All I can say is I am so excited that I chose Palette of Petals for the wedding. I knew I was a going to the first time I met with them. I am not overly creative but have this 'idea' in my head...and it turned out exactly how I wanted. They were professional. My ceremony was in a different location than the reception. They came and set up for the ceremony and then went over and set up for the reception. When I got there everything was all ready and absolutely stunning and exactly what I want.
She also really works with you to get what you want for the budget you have. She doesn't push you to pay more than you feel comfortable (there is a minimum though so you have to meet that since they only do a small number of weddings a weekend).

I am so extremely happy we used Palette of Petals for our wedding! Shannon was great to work with! I had so much fun chatting with her on my initial phone consultation, I ran a few ideas by her for a fall flower look and you could hear the excitement in her voice. Very soon after she sent my pinterest page with some inspiration photos as well as photos and names of flowers she was thinking about using (which is extremely helpful for someone who doesn’t know much about flowers). I couldn’t believe she was the only vendor I talked to that had done this because it is a brilliant idea!
I followed Palette of Petals on Facebook and every time I saw more wedding flower photos pop up I got more and more excited for my own because the quality of their work looked phenomenal. They did not disappoint in the slightest.
We did 3 different looks varied among the tables and every one of them were exactly what I was thinking/hoping. We got so many compliments on how gorgeous they all were! However, my absolute favorite was my bouquet. The colors were vibrant, the flowers were perfectly in bloom but what amazed me was the more I looked at it the more detail and texture I noticed. They truly have an eye and talent that takes everything a step up. I could not have been happier with Palette of Petals.

The ladies at Palette of Petals have a passion for flowers, and this passion really comes through in the beautiful work they produce. I used POP for my wedding flowers and they executed my vision PERFECTLY! My bouquet was gorgeous, as was my bridesmaid's bouquets, the boutonnieres for the groom & groomsmen, the corsages for the moms and grandmoms, the flowers they designed for my wedding arbor, and all of the amazing centerpieces they created. You can tell they really know their stuff when it comes to flowers. Some of the flowers I originally wanted for my August wedding were not in season (peonies), but they were able to suggest similar flowers that were equally as gorgeous! They were also able to find hops (an ingredient in craft beer) for the guys' boutonnieres! The flowers were pure perfection. These ladies are very hard working - do not hesitate to book them for your wedding!

Palette of petals did the flowers at my daughters wedding and they were absolutely beautiful. When my daughter received her bouquet before pictures, she said oh Mom it is exactly how I envisioned it. As a mother that is all you need to hear to know they helped to make your daughter's day. Everyone of the flowers on the tables and candelabras were drop dead gorgeous. I even loved my wrist corsage they used a stretchy pearl band which fit perfectly and looked so much more elegant than many materials I have seen used. Don't hesitate to book them for your wedding.

I was blown away with the service we received from Shannon and Pallette. We met with her a very long time ago and shared a few emails. She put everything together exactly how I had envisioned in my head. My bridal bouquet was absolutely beautiful......I was in years when I saw it. The centerpieces on our tables were so beautiful. I realized about 3 hours before my bridal portraits that I had forgotten to tell them I needed a bouquet, and not only did they say yes to creating one with such a tight time constraint, they also managed to create something timeless and absolutely stunning. In addition, they worked tirelessly to create something that matched what I had pictured so perfectly for the day of my wedding. They worked with me for months, allowing me to share my vision and figure out ways to make it come together in exactly the right way. I provided different ideas and thoughts and they were able to take that and create something truly spectacular that far surpassed anything I could have imagined. My bouquet was absolutely perfect, as were all of my bridesmaids and the centerpieces at the venue were breathtaking. The flowers were so vibrant and fresh! BEYOND MY Expectations!!!! 100% AMAZING!
I was referred to Palette of Petals through a friend and we LOVED her floral at her wedding. I started working with Shannon, Mary, and Piper about a year or so ago. They 100% were creative and took my vision to the next level. We worked for about a year on details and the look and feel we wanted to convey at our wedding. Shannon was 100% on point with listening, taking notes, and giving me suggestions and ideas on so many levels. They made me a Pinterest board and I was able to share Pinterest photos and concepts with them. The day of our wedding they drove up to Williamsburg and dropped off our bouquets and we were BEYOND surprised as they were STUNNING. They spent ALL day designing out floral in the ballroom as well as our cocktail hour, and ceremony site outside. We rented an ARCH which was over the top stunning outside. It was just how I pictured it would be!
Let me tell you.....My husband and I were over the top stunned and they WOW'd us as well as our guests. They went over the top on their floral and creativity and really set the tone for what we exactly wanted. I highly recommend Palette of Petals as they are the BEST!!

I selected Palette of Petals because my best friend used them at her wedding, and I was very impressed. I was not disappointed their work at my wedding, it was absolutely stunning. I met with them one time for about 20 minutes, and within that time they were able to completely understand my vision and use it to create fantastic floral pieces. Also, during portraits before the wedding (we did a first look and then all of our portraits), we realized that we were a bouquet and boutonniere short due to a miscommunication. My photographer gave them a quick call, and they were on it. They made up pieces just as beautiful as the rest and had them ready for us at the venue before the ceremony. It was amazing how quick, understanding and flexible they were, despite being one of the most in demand florists in the area. If you are lucky enough to catch them with some availability for your day, I strongly recommend booking them ASAP!

We were grateful to have Palette of Petals for our non-traditional, gothic wedding! With their help, we chose baccara roses for pomanders and the bouquets, as well as rented black manzanita trees to be where the alter would have been if we had an alter. They assisted with some of the decorations, (including some awesome skulls!) and my bridal bouquet was perfect! I didn't suggest much (as I had no idea what I wanted), and I was blown away by what they came up with! My bouquet had black tulle and several gothic (but elegant) style broaches that they had purchased! They were professional, on time, and helped to really bring together the gothic elements of our wedding! I'd recommend them to anyone!

When I got engaged, I had already seen a lot of Palette of Petals' work at other weddings and events, and knew without a doubt that I had to have them do my wedding - they are just amazing!! Mary and Shannon are so creative and talented, and they gave me the most gorgeous flowers for my wedding that I could have ever asked for. Along the planning process, they were so helpful with suggesting flowers to go along with my color scheme (many of which I had never heard of but of course were absolutely stunning!), and they had fabulous non-flower items I could rent too (such as lanterns, votives, and rustic log slices), which made it so easy to get everything from them, and not have to worry about it all coming together the day-of from a million different places. When I saw the flowers for the first time - both the reception flowers and our bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, etc - I was blown away. The flowers were unique, fresh, beautiful and simply perfect. They even listened to ideas that I had forgotten I told them, like the size of bouquets I wanted for the bridesmaids. Shannon and Mary - and their whole team - work tirelessly to give their clients perfection, but you can tell that this is not just a "job" for them - they are so talented and love what they do, and it shows in all of their beautiful creations. I searched for the perfect florist who listened and would work with us. I am not a flower person to be honest. Shannon understood and let me and my husband make a lot of the centerpieces which made it special. She then added the right amount of beautiful flowers and decor to make it perfect. Super friendly team. My bouquet was breath taking. She turned my Pinterest board into reality. She even helped find a massive wine glass for my wow pieces and decorated them perfectly. So many vendors seemed offended when I asked if we could help make decorations and centerpieces. Shannon was delighted to help us and kept me under budget yay! Thanks POP!!!!

Without question - the finest service and most beautiful results I could have imagined. There is a reason Shannon and her team have the highest reviews - they do amazing work and provide it with professionalism, warmth and incredible artistic insight. Shannon was so supportive. She LISTENED to me (!) and took my vision (albeit not very well defined) and patiently worked with me to get to exactly what I wanted. The results were bouquets that perfectly - perfectly - fit with the colors and theme of my wedding. I provided a portion of the centerpieces and Shannon worked closely with me to make it work - even when I couldn't see it. Working with me, listening and interpreting my vision so beautifully made this team just the best. I could not recommend them more, especially if you are looking for original and artistic work. Beyond amazing! My wife cried when she saw her wedding bouquet! Shannon and the rest of Palette of Petals were so easy to work with. They understood my wife's vision perfectly. They even went above and beyond and helped setup our venue because we were running behind. The amount of care they put into their work is remarkable, and the results show. My wife and I had a perfect wedding, thanks in large part to the beautiful floral arrangements made for both the ceremony and the reception that made everything come together.

After showing her pictures of various arrangements i liked, she was able to create my vision and far exceeded my expectations. I was completely obsessed with my bouquets, and sad that they couldn't last forever. They were so romantic and soft, a perfect compliment to my fairytale vintage wedding. I loved working with Palette. First off, the store is very low-key and calming...their dog was roaming around and Shannon was very down-to-earth. I told her right away that we were on a tight budget since I was still paying loans from grad school and am a teacher and she suggested many ways to lower the price. She also referred me to the vendor who eventually did our cake (which was awesome). Shannon was very reachable by email and phone and made changes several times. The flowers themselves were beautiful--excellent value. She was able to suggest subs for my favorites to bring the price down and didn't push me on anything. Other florists kept trying to persuade me to spend more and Shannon was into my budget approach.

These ladies did an amazing job for our wedding! They really took the time to listen to our vision and worked to make it come to life - and they nailed it! From decorating trees at our altar, to the ombre flower petals down the aisle, to the wonderfully intricate centerpieces - everything was gorgeous!!! The bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful, too! They are so creative and added extra special touches (like orchids in the branches of the centerpieces) that really made the flowers enchanting. I did not know much about flowers going into our appointment - really just what I liked on Pinterest - and their experience and expertise definitely showed! I highly recommend them and will be ordering from them for any occasion I need flowers in the future!

From the moment I spoke to Shannon she knew exactly what I had in mind for our wedding. She was friendly, professional & picked out every idea in my head before I said anything. The flowers & lighting set a perfect winter wedding scene & really made everything come together! They also came back after the event was over to pick vases up & wrap the flowers up so they would be okay to take home.

I was planning my wedding from out of town in 7 weeks (!) and Shannon was so accommodating to email back and forth with me until everything was just right. I have VERY strong opinions about flowers and would not write this review if I were not completely impressed and blown away by not only my bouquet but the bridesmaids' bouquets, the centerpieces and the accessory flowers. Palette of Petals took my breath away when I saw my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets! Shannon and Mary turned my vision into an absolutely beautiful reality for our wedding. I loved every single arrangement, including the gorgeous memorial arrangement for my husband's late father.
Shannon worked with me to come up with the perfect flowers to go with our winter wedding. They were all fabulous from the aisle arrangements to the small silver-tipped pinecones to adorn our cake.
Shannon and Mary are also so amazingly accommodating and incredibly sweet. We're so thankful we hired them!

These florists are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and they truly love their job. Every time I have worked with them it has been just a true pleasure. They have so many ideas and suggestions and they are just so creative! I got married this past June and they did such a beautiful job. Everything was exactly the way I had asked for and it looked even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Not only did I used them for my wedding, but the previous July I was the Maid of Honor for a friend's wedding and that's when we found them. Compared to other florists we visited, Palette of Petals had the best deals and just truly the best of everything. I highly recommend them to anyone for prompt, reliable and beautiful service.

I took multiple pictures of looks I wanted and she almost instantly knew exactly what I wanted. She has a creative eye, and a passion to make beautiful arrangements for weddings. My family loved the way she made the corsages, and I've had sooooo many compliments about how beautiful our wedding flowers were (bouquets and tall centerpieces) and how creative the lower centerpieces were (sunken orchids with led lights and floating candles). I have to say these ladies are amazing at what they do. I could not have asked for a better display or my wedding. These ladies went beyond my imagination with the arrangements. They really listened to what I wanted and was thinking. Even with my husband and I currently living in Texas they were willing to Skype with us and work with us to the fullest extent. I had the best group of vendors at my wedding...and Palette of Petals was one of them. I loved Shannon from the start. She was down to earth and obviously loves what she does. She was honest when she thought someone else may have something for cheaper and worked with me on pricing. She never made me feel bad when I tried to cut costs or had questions just to see. I grew up in Hawaii and wanted a tropical feel and she put my thoughts together beautifully in flowers that lit up the day. I truly didn't need much decor because the flowers I did order were so beautiful. Every time I look at the pictures I am so glad I got beautiful flowers that I will have photographed forever. I even brought them to a nursing home the next day and they were all so delighted by their beauty. Shannon is creative, honest, genuine and lovely to work with. We had a blast meeting with them because they're just so much fun and so is the store. They were great to work with - they had a lot of ideas on what kind of flowers would look good for what we wanted, and the price was great, too. They went the extra mile and helped pack up the bouquets and bouts for my dad to bring them to the Outer Banks where my husband and I got married. My daughter and I visited the Palette of Petal sisters in early 2012 to plan her vision for her October wedding. Her colors were plum and silver. Shannon and Mary were wonderful. They are so creative and sweet. Not knowing exactly what she wanted, they made several recommendations to work within our budget. They were very patient when we asked for several quotes as we changed our order. Since we didn't need flowers for all the tables they designed beautiful door wreaths for the venue as the last minute. The wedding flowers were gorgeous, very full, fresh, and they caught the essence of all her colors. The centerpieces were exactly as we requested and beautiful on the tables. We had our wedding at a barn and so we wanted a rather rustic feel, with flowers that weren't very fancy and instead gave a natural, non-contrived, wild look to them. Words escape me at the moment to truly explain how much your services and talents made my daughter Jenn's wedding day absolutely perfect. It was exactly the wedding that she wanted and the flowers and arch on the beach were absolutely perfect! We received compliments from all of our guests on how beautiful the flowers were. Your willingness to incorporate my family's heirloom ivy from Ireland into the Bride's bouquet helped make the day even more special. And the colors in all of the bouquets were exactly right to compliment the periwinkle dresses. You also made sure that the beach set-up was beautiful with the bamboo arch. Going above and beyond my expectations to the point of sweeping out the 'aisle' in the beach sand was amazing!
However, the best part of your services was the small touch you added to the cake topper at the last minute. The miniature bridal veil and groom's hat the you created out of practically nothing were the big hit of the day. All of my guests were impressed with the level of customer service you provided.

Caring, creative, professional, easy going, amazing...I could go on and on about these women. I researched over a dozen florists before choosing who to meet with since I was planning my VA wedding from NYC. After I met with them I cancelled my second appointment becuase I knew that there was no way I could love any other florist more. They are experts in their craft, yet they have the most kind, pure and humble hearts. Meetings with florists are probably the longest of any, with the exception of the caterer...and I can say that each meeting was a joy.
I am overwhelmed with thanks and gratitude to them for creating such an increadible ceremony and venue space. They do not try to sell you on something that you do not need or want. If you know your budget then they stick to it and deliver everything you could have dreamed of and more without pushing you out of your budget consraints. Do yourself a favor and at least meet with them...I know you will see and feel what I did from meeting with them. They are the BEST!!

My two biggest priorities for my wedding was the food and the flowers; I wanted them to be perfect. Mary and Shannon created the perfect floral arrangements of my dreams. They were so friendly, flexible (they changed my order for me several times) and fun to work with. At our planning session, Shannon had some great ideas that really brought my vision of my wedding to life. I think that's such an important quality in any vendor--that they respect the atmosphere that you want them to create at your wedding and that they use their experience to make that happen. Not all vendors don't do that, but Mary and Shannon did They were also great about getting back to me right away when I emailed them with questions. I wish I could show you pictures of our relatives boutonnieres and corsages and especially bouquet they made for me. It was like a work of art and it smelled amazing. My bridesmaids couldn't stop sniffing it while we were dressing! I would recommend Palette of Petals one hundred percent! Thank you Mary and Shannon!

I visited several other florists and always felt rushed and could tell my lack of knowledge and indecisiveness was frustrating the vendors.. until I visited Mary and Shannon! They must have spent 3 hours sitting with me showing me all different kinds of flowers and arrangements and helping pick my dream flowers for my special day. The bouquets turned out even more perfect than I had ever imagined them! Not only were the flowers GORGEOUS but their price was extremely competitive. I would highly recommend Palette of Petals for any occasion.

I can't recommend Palette of Petals enough. The bright, modern bouquets and centerpieces looked even better than I imagined, and we got lots of compliments on them. They worked within my budget and really listened to what I was looking for. Plus, they're fun to talk to!

We loved working with Shannon and Mary. I was totally comfortable with letting them do their thing with just some direction from us. I love their artistic touch to flowers. They produced beautiful work, were open to our ideas, gave their great ideas, were on time, were professional but still friendly, etc. etc. Couldn't have been happier with them. And the service and flowers for the price is an amazing value. I would use them again and again.

The ladies of Palette of Petals were great to work with. The flowers were as fresh as they could be, the bouquets were already at thevenue by the time we got there and my bouquet. Oh my bouquet was beyond fabulous. the colors were beautiful, all the flowers were fresh and i loved carrying it with me!

I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for the wedding. Amazing, stunning, beautiful are all adjectives that would apply to your work and I wish I could adequately express how happy we were with how everything turned out! Your attention to detail was evident in everything you touched from the incredibly lush topiaries to the groom's boutonniere. The rose pomanders were so simple and gorgeous--the perfect counterpoint to the lush topiaries. Walking into the venue was like seeing our wildest dreams brought to life. You literally took a blank slate and turned it into exactly what Tara was looking for--lush, romantic and vintage. The arrangements in the reception room continued the atmosphere you created in the ceremony room--simply breathtaking. We especially appreciated the way you incorporated the jewelry pieces into your work. It was evident that you really listened to the things we had to say in our many meetings and emails! The tissue paper pomanders in the dance area were a fun way to echo the formality of the rose pomanders from the ceremony. You guys really thought of everything! Quite simply, the flowers were my favorite part of the whole wedding. When people at home (in Texas) asked me how the wedding was, I pulled up your pictures on Facebook and said "Here--this is how the wedding was!". I wish I knew a hundred people who were getting married so I could refer them all to you! You deserve so much attention for your unique creations! I wish you every success in the future.

Shannon & Mary are absolutely amazing! Out of all my vendors these ladies were the most helpful! I had booked with them a year prior to my wedding, and note.. I'm from out of state. I had met with Shannon & Mary once, and the rest of our communication was via e-mail or phone. I seriously e-mailed Shannon plenty of times within the year, and she kept track of everything & all the changes, including every detail! They were so easy & fun to work with! I simply just gave them an idea of how I would like my floral & the fabric on their gorgeous bamboo arch, which they never had done before, & it turned out beautiful & breathtaking, including my bouquet, it was gorgeous! They do chair, linen, vase rental which eased a lot of stress for me because I didn't have to go through another vendor, not knowing how the communication would go. They pretty much do everything to ease your wedding day, they went above & beyond my expectation! Thanks so much Shannon & Mary!
