  Amazing food and cocktails!

  We had our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Drinks at PAGU, and it was the perfect setting to welcome our friends and family into the Boston/Cambridge area! We did a four-course family style dinner for our Rehearsal Dinner, and the food was amazing - our guests loved the food and the variety that they were able to try. After the dinner, the PAGU staff helped transition the space into a Welcome Drinks space with drinks and passed appetizers. We loved working with Amanda as our event coordinator to iron out the details leading up to and the day-of the event, and the owner Tracy was present throughout the day to make sure everything tasted great and went smoothly. Thank you again to the PAGU team for helping to make our wedding weekend so memorable!

  Beautiful, sophisticated, intimate venue with a wonderful, kind team and amazing food!

  We had our wedding reception at Pagu this September and could not recommend it more highly! Tracy and her team were so wonderful to work with. The planning process was easy and fun, and Tracy and her staff were super proactive in anticipating and preventing possible issues and challenges. The food and drinks were simply outstanding (our guests raved about it!), and the venue setup was perfect. Pagu feels sophisticated, intimate and comfortable as a venue. Between the bar area, the outdoor area, and the full restaurant floor, there are lots of different spaces for people to mingle and interact. Tracy and her team are finally just really friendly, warm and caring people - we could not be happier with our choice!

  Intimate, warm, and modern wedding

  This venue is a hidden gem. The restaurant is a beautiful modern space with an industrial aesthetic. It's airy but intimate and can easily accommodate 100 wedding guests for dinner then transform to a full dance floor. The head chef Tracy and her food were phenomenal. The tapas style plates were just what we were looking for in a modern reception that would feel more like an extended cocktail hour. The vegetarian options were so good they even won over the meat eaters. The signature cocktails from the restaurant's menu were so popular with our guests that we had to increase our bar tab! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who's main focus is to enjoy incredible food and drink.

  PaGU will take care of you!

  After searching extensively for the right reception venue, PaGU was one the last place we saw, and upon meeting with Tracy Chang, the owner and head chef, and touring the space, it was immediate and intuitive that we had to have our reception at PaGU. We chose PaGU for a number of reasons (delicious, spectacular innovative food, a flexible and lively space and outdoor space, a one-in-all kind of place: drinks, waitstaff, kitchen staff, audio system, etc. that required very little management from us), but most of all we chose PaGU because of Tracy Chang and her staff. There was something charismatic, intangible and all around good feelings from them. They were steady, responsive, professional and provided a quality in their service that you want when you are planning a wedding and you are already inundated with so many things. Tracy and her team made us feel easy, worked with our budget, and they were also excited! It's contagious when you meet people who love what they do, who pour love into what they do, who literally live for what they do, and want to share it with others.

  Amazing food for our wedding reception!

  We are so happy that we chose PAGU for our cocktail hour and sit-down dinner reception! The bottom line is their food was fantastic and we were very happy with how the night went because of Tracy and the PAGU staff. From start to finish, Tracy and her team were extremely flexible and accommodating with all of our requests. The restaurant itself is simple and elegant and they let us bring in white lace table runners, favor boxes, florist flowers, and even let us project pictures on the TV and projector to personalize the space for our night. Somehow they were able to serve 106 guests + vendors (who sat in the upstairs mezzanine area) with perfect food and drink service. We did feel that 106 guests seated during dinner felt a little cozier than we would have wanted but that might have been because it was a hot summer day. The main floor space was nearly maxed out with our number of sit down guests so it was even more impressive that they were able to flip the space seamlessly to hold a dance floor and the DJ setup. Our wedding was on the hottest day of the summer and the staff was so pleasant despite having to move tables to the hot, outdoor patio. We didn't get to enjoy the patio area for cocktail hour given the weather conditions but our indoor cocktail hour was still lots of fun. We also really appreciate that Tracy kept each section (cake cutting, toasts, etc) on time. Best of all was the food and drinks! We chose a sangria in advance so guests could grab a drink easily after the ceremony and the sangria was amazing. The food was the main reason why we chose PAGU and they did not disappoint. We were happy with the advance tasting and somehow the food was even better at the reception! We had multiple guests tell us that night and afterwards that it was the best food (apps, entree, sides, and dessert!) they've ever had at a wedding. Since my family is Taiwanese, we loved that we were able to customize food options such as including an adzuki mochi dessert. Our only regret is not eating even more of our wedding cake that PAGU made because it was so good! We highly recommend PAGU for a wedding reception based on the food, service, and beautiful space. A huge thank you to Tracy and her hard-working team from us!!!

  Awesome restaurant, great way to kick-off our wedding weekend!

  We held our wedding welcome reception with 100 guests at Pagu and it was excellent!! We had eaten at Pagu before and loved the food so we reached out to Tracy and her team about hosting our reception there. It didn't take long for us to finalize our decision to go with Pagu as Tracy was responsive and open and it was immediately clear that it would be a smooth and fun experience to work with her. We had a tasting and designed the menu (mainly passed appetizers and small plates) and also had a chance to design custom cocktails. The lead up to the event was all incredibly easy and the event itself went perfectly. Everyone raved about the food, location, and ambience. I'm personally obsessed with all of the desserts (in particular the matcha green tea cookies)! If you're looking for a restaurant to host an event, I would highly recommend Pagu. We're excited to go back for lunch and dinner and hope to find an excuse in the future to host another event there!

  Delicious food, beautiful space, helpful people

  We had our reception at Pagu and they were awesome to work with. We took over the whole restaurant (~120 people). The food was amazing, and not your typical “wedding food” which we loved. Some highlights:
  * They were super flexible about all the different ideas we had, like no assigned tables and bringing in a giant balloon photo frame.
  * We met with the bartender and designed our own “his” and “hers” signature cocktails which was super fun.
  * We underestimated how much food we’d need and they just adjusted last minute and it worked out perfectly.
  * They got us a deal on the hotel that is literally less than a block from the restaurant, and it was very convenient.
  * They also recommended a local florist, who we found to be very reasonably priced and we loved working with.
  * They let us bring in our own dessert (along with their yummy ice cream)
  * We lucked out with the weather and used the patio, which was so lovely. But we had a plan for rain too, which made me feel less stressed on the day of.
  * My mom is allergic to shellfish and we included shrimp in our menu. They were so conscientious checking in with her and making sure she was safe.
  * We got LOTS of compliments from our guests that our wedding was one of their favorites of all time.
  * Everyone was just really nice and helpful! Tracey is talented at what she does and her calm helped make things less stressful for us.

  Amazing service!

  I had my rehearsal dinner at Pagu and it was fantastic!
  Tracy and her team are extremely helpful. They were very responsive from planning to execution.

  An amazing venue with delicious food and spectacular service

  My wife and I had our reception dinner and drinks at Pagu and it was one of the best decisions we made. Tracy was available and professional throughout the planning process and was able to address all of our needs well in advance of the wedding so we didn't need to worry about anything for that evening. Tracy and the entire team at Pagu were incredible and made the experience a night to remember. As the bride and groom, we were able to just relax and enjoy the night with all of our friends and family. We had a smaller dinner of 45 people followed by drinks with around 150 people. The space was perfect for our group and the staff at Pagu were able to accommodate both of these events. The dinner, drinks, snacks, and dessert were all spectacular and professionally laid out. They were responsive to all the needs of our family and guests and provided top end service throughout the night. Tracy made our lives much easier and we would absolutely recommend having your venue at Pagu if you are considering it!

  David & Jeanne’s Rehearsal Dinner 8/17/2018

  We hosted our son’s Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at PAGU in August 2018. We were seated in a very private area with our 15 guests. We chose a delicious Family Style 4-course dinner that was served in stages by the well-trained staff (which allowed us to really enjoy talking during the meal). The wine pairings were wonderful. A very happy, memorable event! PAGU is our #1 favorite restaurant!

  Couldn't be happier with our experience at PAGU

  We chose PAGU for a couple different reasons. We knew we wanted to have a restaurant wedding - I produce weddings as part of my job, and as much as I love a farmhouse wedding, I've seen how much work goes in to it and it didn't feel worth it when what we really cared about was the food, beverage, and convenience. Enter PAGU, where the food is Asian but also modern and fun, the drinks are delicious, the wine selection approachable but interesting, the space is beautiful, and all our favorite bars are within 2 blocks! We also wanted to support another young woman running a restaurant of her own vision and making, and when we really thought about it, there weren't that many options in that category that could also fit a 100+ person party. Why not? Let's change that! So we felt even more excited about making a choice that aligned with our hopes for the future of the industry in Boston. Planning the menu was the best part - so much fun food and drink. Tracy helped us figure out every detail and our guests loved the food, much of which was totally new to them! We had full run of the space, which was awesome, and the patio was fantastic as well. The staff were awesome too, everything was seamless.

  For starters, the food is unbelievable and our guests could not stop raving about it. We were able to completely customize the space for our needs. The band sounded great and we had the perfect amount of space for dancing. The open space of Pagu lends itself naturally to a very inclusive party which was exactly what we were looking for! Tracy and her team were incredible responsive and laid back throughout the whole process which made it really easy to coordinate and plan. Highly recommended space!

  A little different shower venue with rave reviews

  We were looking for a wedding shower venue with a little bit of a twist from traditional. Tracy and team accommodated all of our requests, made great suggestions which we considered/included in our plans and allowed us to add in our own touches.
  Weather was not cooperative and we had to move the entire event indoors due to severe heat. We were set up against the large windows so that we had an outdoor feel with the benefit of air conditioning.
  We brought in our own centerpieces (flowers in mason jars, votive candles) to dress up the tables. We brought in our own dessert that offered a bit more variety for our guests.
  Appetizers where passed with cocktails. Lunch was served buffet style to keeps guest mingling. Food service was excellent, food was delicious and plentiful. We had to replenish the salad on the fly (Pagu had no problem with that), and leftovers were packaged up.
  Only issue was slightly slow bar service - next time, we would choose a specialty drink in advance to get things moving quickly. At least, Pagu was not pushing the drinks to up the bill.
  While there was another event following behind our shower, we never felt rushed or put upon. We look forward to working with Tracy again.
