    I got married in Feb this year and I have to say that Molly has been AMAZING from the beginning. I had looked at Pacific Athletic before I got engaged (just so I can get an idea). We were planning on a destination but I needed a plan B and thankfully my plan B worked. I had communicated MONTHS before my date and Molly was always responsive. She was helpful with all the details and gave great suggestions. Our guests loved the food and the decor and had an awesome time. If I could I would do it all over again at Pacific Athletic Club. Also, another plus..Chivarian chairs and no cake cutting fee was the decision maker for me :) Thanks Molly for everything and if your considering this site for a nice intimate wedding, you wont be disappointed!

    We did not have to worry about a thing during our reception at PAC. Everything was taken care of and it showed to how smoothly everything ran. We couldn't keep our schedule due to our own wedding party being late but the coordinator/staff made all adjustments seem as if everything was on time. The service/servers were amazing, friendly, professional and also so attentive. From the start of just looking at the venue to the recieving of the final reciept of the bill, our coordinator Lizette Merlino made our experience pressure free, stress free and as satisfactory as a bride and groom could ask. We will always refer anyone that we know that is getting married to PAC.

    I cannot say enough great things about the Pacific Athletic Club and their wonderful event coordinator Molly Jacobs!!!

    When we were looking for places to hold our reception, we had visited several sites (from ballrooms to country clubs). But the second we walked into the PAC, we fell in love with it! It is simply elegant and unpretentious. There were several beautiful spots on site where our photographer snuck us away to take some pictures... =) The customer service was incredible...the staff were all so gracious and hard-working. And I have only one word to say about the food...WOW! To this day, we STILL have guests raving about the food they had at our reception (the prime rib and salmon with beurre blanc sauce)! Delicious and very generous portions!

    Molly was such a joy to work with. She was not only professional (always prompt with responding to emails/phone calls), but gave us so many great ideas for our reception. Molly was extremely accomodating and was there the entire day of our wedding, making sure she was doing everything she could to make our day as special as possible. She is honestly one of the nicest people we've ever met, and we felt so lucky that she was the one who helped coordinate the wedding of our dreams! I HIGHLY recommend the PAC and Molly Jacobs for anyone who is planning their wedding!

    We cannot thank the PAC and our coordinator Lizette Merlino enough for executing our wedding reception with great customer service, personalization and attention to detail.

    When our reception was done, we both felt that all of our expectations were far exceeded and that we had the wedding we always dreamed of. Down to every detail the PAC was able to accommodate all of our wishes. Plus, all of our guests said that they enjoyed the best wedding food ever and had so many compliments for their on-site chef.

    Our coordinator Lizette was always friendly and professional and had the can-do spirit that we were looking for in a reception coordinator. She took our vision and made it a reality. It was truly Lizette's and the staff members' hard work, professionalism and customer service that made our dream wedding a reality and we will be forever grateful.

    Pacific Athletic Club was perfect for our wedding reception. Lizette and the catering team were wonderful. The food was wonderful and we especially liked that we were able to set the dance floor up in the middle of the floor plan. Because of the set up, all the guests, dancing or not, were involved with what was going on through out the evening.

    We had our wedding reception at Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City and are so happy with how everything turned out! We knew Pacific Athletic Club was for us, the moment we walked in the dining room for our very first visit. Pacific Athletic Club is a beautiful space, inside and out. The dining room, bar lounge, and courtyard all work so well together, and really do set the stage for a beautiful and elegant affair. The overall decor and lighting are top-notch. The champagne linens, beautiful chavari chairs, votive candles, and massive windows all add to making the place look amazing. The entire staff is wonderful. The catering managers are fantastic to work with, not only do they help you plan your event, but they are also there during your event making sure it runs smoothly! The kitchen staff are open to working with clients to customize menus, which is great! The wait staff are professional, friendly individuals who really take care of the details and are on top of it! The food was delicious, and served warm and quick. We knew we were in good hands with the Pacific Athletic Club! This is truly a wonderful place to host any event. We had the wedding of our dreams there! It was a pleasure working with Molly and her team.

    Molly was the best wedding coordinator any bride could ever ask for. She had excellent follow through, great advice and was very honest about what were good options to consider and what were not. I hope every bride is as lucky to have a phenomenal wedding coordinator as Molly because she really made my wedding be as stress free and successful as possible. She also kept my wicked "monster in law" away from me. If it weren't for Molly, nor I or my guests would not have enjoyed ourselves to the extent we did. Molly Rocks! Also, the PAC staff was awesome with their impecable service and efforts!

    Being an athletic club, it would seem odd to hold such an important event, but we were very surprised at how everything turned out. The food was wonderfully prepared and presented. We've received a lot of compliments on how well the food tasted. To this day, the food is being compared by our guests to other events they've attended. To top it off, the service was exceptional. The staff was very attentive and took great care of the bride (me) and of course our guests. They even packed me some food, which I forgot to take with me. The coordinator made sure every detail was covered and I didn't have to worry about a thing when the day came. All I did was enjoy myself. It was awesome!!!

    Lizette Merlino and her banqueting staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day exceptional. From the beginning of planning the event, to the very last moment of the reception, my husband and I were catered to in every aspect of the wedding. They were patient, kind, flexible, and extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Lizette and her staff made every moment of planning for this wedding stress-free, and actually quite enjoyable. Their great service did not just stop at my husband and I, but also spanned to our families and guests. The Pacific Athletic Club was absolutely perfect. The ceremony site had a simple beauty to it. The banquet room was stunning...and chivari chairs included at no extra cost was a huge plus!

    We could have gone with other comparable vendors in terms of price, but the staff at Pacific Athletic Club went over and above our expectations. They provide their own in-house planning services, and our contact, Lizette is always accommodating with all our requests and concerns. I was always in touch with her the last few weeks before our wedding day with any last minute changes, and she is very professional and would accommodate our request to the best of her ability. Their catering packages are very reasonable, and the quality of the food is pretty good compared to other similar places. Couples can do a variety of food and beverage packages tailored to their budget, which is what we were looking for. They also have rentals available, such as A/V package, dance floors, head table platform etc.

    I would recommend Pacific Athletic Club for couples who are looking for the following: an intimate setting, flexibility with food and beverage options, have a set budget, and an in house event planner that would definitely work with the bride and groom to make sure their event is as seamless as it could be.

    Pacific Athletic Club is really great place for reception. The service they provide is great, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable.

    The staff at Pacific Athletic Club were great!! They were willing to work with me and offered suggestions when I felt like I had no options left. The day of the wedding was absolutely fabulous. I was really impressed with the professionalism of all the staff members and how the whole staff were extremely helpful. Not only did they make my guest happy but my husband and I were happy.

    PAC was a wonderful place to have my wedding reception. I felt like I was listened to and for someone who hasn't been to many weddings, Molly (the coordinator) was full of useful tips and advice. She was very down to earth and easy to "digress" with when I'd go off on a tangent about family drama I was dealing with. I think having a good relationship with my coordinator was key. I felt like she was there for me and not just another bride. She made me felt like the only bride when I was with her. Plus the food was great, the service the day of was awesome, and they were so easy to work with when it came to hiccups. ^_^

    PAC is a very beautiful place to have your event. The PAC setting is peaceful and elegant. The setting and service of the wedding day was elegant all due to event coordinator lizette and PAC staff. We are very pleased how our wedding turned out. It was beautiful and the service was amazing. We must say that Lizette Merlino is a fabulous event coordinator and she does outstanding work. We were amazed especially how she communicates with your vendors and knows the timeline pace of a wedding reception . She is very professional and we would highly recommend her. If it wasn't for Lizette and PAC staff we would not have our wedding reception go so smoothly and turned out beautifully. Thanks Lizette and PAC for beautiful memories

    Wonderful location to work with. They provided the china, tables, linens and even the waiters. The food was delicious and they offered a variety of meals and prices. The week before the wedding they contacted the other vendors to arrange arrival and delivery so I didn't have too. Also, they had thoughtful details like a glass of water with a straw for me so I didn't mess up my makeup dress to take a sip.

    Pacific Athletic Club was a great venue to have our reception.

    Regarding the venue itself, we loved the layout of the dining room and all of the space available for guests to hang out during the party. It was important to me to have natural light, so the two large window walls were a plus, as were the high ceilings. Plus, the chiavari chairs come standard!! Can you say awesome?!!

    As for the catering, the food was delicious and prices were incredibly reasonable, especially for the Peninsula area. Most of the catering was in-house but they do allow some specialty outside catering, so we were able to bring in lechon (Filipino roast pig) and lumpia.

    Molly Jacobs was our coordinator at the venue and she was great. She definitely knows her stuff. It was usually easier to reach her by phone over email. I sometimes got antsy waiting for an email reply, but when we did get in touch, I was always reassured. Molly was on top of things and didn't miss a detail on the day of the wedding.

    Working with the event coordinators at PAC was easy and smooth.
    Pre-booking: We were invited to an open house & they gave attendees a facility tour, had table & catering setups, kitchen staff & event vendors on hand to answer questions.

    Booking: Communication was excellent. Quick responses to both email and phone calls. Scheduled several meetings and both Holly and Lizette accommodated us at various times. Both had great customer service and often times went above & beyond our expectations in helping us with timeline, decorations, and set up.

    Decorating/Setup: A little restrictive if you're going to DIY. To hang anything up or attach anything, you must use a contractor or arrange to use their facilities people. Liability was the issue. Yet, PAC was very accommodating in providing anything else; tables, power cords, access to facilities (if possible) and pre-decorating set up from table decorations, to centerpiece displays, and availability of two ready rooms for the bride & groom.

    Food: Seafood & sushi displays were excellent. A wide variety of foods to choose from in the menu. Only drawback was you had to order enough to fulfill the predetermined minimum amount of $12K. But you could include the deposit and dance floor into that amt.

    Ambience: Excellent! Full use of the upper & lower lobbies, ready rooms for changing or decoration storage, great views & access to of patio/courtyard.

    Service at the reception: Overall pretty good. We did have a problem with their staff taking away guests' cake way too soon. I'm pretty disappointed with that since we really loved that cake. So be sure to remind them not to take it away until guests are DONE!

    My event coordinator was Molly who was SUPER helpful. She answered any questions that we had and helped in any way possible. I thought that we'd have to find people (namely family members) to help with setting table decorations and setting up/replenishing the candy buffet. Molly said that her staff would do it all for us. What a load taken off of our shoulders! There was an event that was prior to ours, but Molly reassured us that everything would be fine and that it wouldn't affect our event. She was right everything ran smoothly.

    The only disappointment was one of the entrees. We chose to have their prime rib, which was supposed to be the best ever, and the chicken carcoffi. We weren't able to sample the prime rib at the tasting, and chose it based on blind faith alone. Luckily, it turned out to be better than anyone could have imagined! The chicken carcoffi, however, was not so great. During the tasting, it was really good. The chicken wasn't dry, the prawns were cooked just right and the sauce was really good. So we chose it. But at the dinner on the wedding day, the chicken was dry. It was so bad that I didn't bother finishing my meal. I was really bummed bc I had been raving about it to all my family and friends, and they chose it as their meal. I wish that they could've packed the meals that were not served so that we could take them home. (I did pay for them, didn't I?) It would've been nice to have after a long day with no food. =\

    Overall, my experience was really good. The venue is beautiful and the staff (for the most part) is really nice. The cost of renting the venue is very fair. The part that pushed it over was the cost of food. But hey, it was a once in a lifetime thing for me. We went out with a bang!

    PAC was a beautiful place to have our wedding. The coordinator was great; however, there were a few things that made us feel as though we would not recommend it to our friends. First being, they were supposed to stop serving alcohol at 10 and they continued to charge us and serve our guests until 11. They also kept clearing our full glasses of wine, beer, ect. So when you would reach for your glass it would be gone and you would have to get another one which of course costs more money. Another odd thing about PAC was we were told by a server there was plenty of wedding cake left in the kitchen but it was not sent home with us. I assume the staff took it home to their own families, I hope they enjoyed it because we paid a fortune for it.
    One positive thing about PAC is, as the bride, when there was a problem I was not aware of it. Extra people came, our coordinator just set places and took care of it. When our bar tab had hit the limit the coordinator contacted my parents and they added to the limit. Even though the glasses kept being taken away there was always someone close to you to give you another one.
    Therefore, if your wedding budget it high and you don't care about costs or getting your wedding cake back I would recommend it.
