It captured not just my teary eyes but my heart as well. I had mentioned I wanted a somewhat music video style and you did more than just that. And our 1 month anniversary since the wedding Herman sent us our 5 minute wedding video which was beyond what I imagined it to be. It was just beautiful. He sent us different formats so we can share it on instagram and facebook and was able to relive in our wedding day again with our friends and families!
I definitely recommend Herman and Overflow productions team if you are looking for a hardworking, professional, and awesome videographers! Herman is personable and such an awesome person! We are so glad we chose them for our wedding videography!

The videography contract allows for me as the client to request one round of edits without additional charges. I chose to request a few small changes, but overall I was very happy with the edited highlight video. However when the revised version was delivered/published on Vimeo, the video had a blatant audio/visual editing error. The first kiss moment and culmination of the ceremony now looks very awkward because the audio is off by about 5 seconds from the video, so as the bride and groom we look like we're awkward staring at each other in silence between when the officiant announces us as married and when we actually kiss and there is actual applause. When I pointed this out to Herman, he gave me a very cookie-cutter answer and requested that I pay $250 to get this mistake and shift of 5-seconds in the audio fixed.....
Mistakes like this should be fixed by the company, free of charge. This particular edit is the fixing of an actual issue and had nothing to do with the edit I requested. Additionally, it reflects bad on their company when potential future clients watch videos with blatantly obvious bad editing. But I guess they don't care.
Reflecting back on the wedding, the other things that had bothered me on the day-of that I was not expecting definitely adds to this overall being a below-average experience. Herman was nice and upbeat in terms of behavior, but he delayed our morning timeline by asking me and my wedding party to repeat certain movements over and over again unnaturally. Additionally, he had the link to our wedding timeline for months ahead of time, and failed to notice that I had him scheduled to arrive an hour after the photographers. I did not care for capturing much of my getting-ready moments on video. He could have noticed this and pointed it out to me ahead of time, but instead he arrived flustered and expressing concern that he was not able to capture things that he wanted to (that I did not, as the bride, care to capture...).
The other day-of issue that I had with Herman occurred right before the ceremony began. My wedding was in November in LA and we had a heat wave that weekend, so the wedding planners and venue had instructions to put umbrellas out for the guests so that they had shade to sit under and be more comfortable during the ceremony. About 30 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, I was waiting and resting in another room (tucked away, as the bride is leading up to the ceremony), and I was hearing from my wedding planners that Herman was expressively fighting back against putting up the umbrellas for the sake of his video. I think that as the bride and groom, we get the final say here.. if we prefer our family and friends' comfort over a 2 second wide shot clip of our wedding video, I think that a videographer's job is to just roll with it instead of add stress and pushback right before the wedding begins. I wasn't downstairs and talking to Herman directly, but the net result was that we had 1-2 umbrellas set out and most of our guests sat under the hot direct sun for the duration of the ceremony (instead of the planned 6-8 umbrellas providing shade for our 120 guests). I am still confounded over this pushback.. find yourself a videographer that listens to the bride and groom on their wedding day, and who delivers quality and customer service!
