Wendy is the definition of class and professional. She did such an amazing job. Her voice is smooth and well spoken. Definitely sets the tone for the ceremony. She even kept me calm(the groom) with knowing when and what to say to do so. Also knowing if something went wrong she would know how to handle it definitely helped me feel very confident that it was just going to be perfect. Which it did. Not one thing I can think of that she could have done differently. Many options to choice from. Open to suggestions, very responsive, on time, and very prepared . 1000 percent recommend Wendy! Better Together
To say that our day was perfect is an understatement and Your Simple Ceremony was a big part of that. Our wedding (at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens) was diy aside from the catering (BBQ provided by Pearls Country Store & Barbecue) and cake (mini cupcakes provided by Smallcakes of Ocala) and of course Wendy at Your Simple Ceremony. She walks you through every step of the process, as if it wasn’t easy enough, exactly what this busy bride was looking for. Did I mention how fast it was, Wendy had all of her ducks in a row so I didn’t have to! I can not say enough about the ceremony itself. She also walks you through every step there as well, she moves away for photo ops, and monitors your guests. When grown men are commenting on how beautiful and unique our vows were it must mean it was pretty special. Wendy has been 100% responsive post ceremony as well!! I can not recommend Your Simple Ceremony enough!!!

Perfect Ceremony and Perfect Officiant
Wendy went above and beyond throughout the entire experience to make us feel comfortable and eliminate any nerves we had for our ceremony. She provided an amazing package of ceremony details that we chose from, and helped us customize them to make them special for us. The day of the wedding, she was an awesome asset throughout the day, talking through exactly what we’ll need to do and how to have the ideal ceremony and photo opportunities. Our ceremony was phenomenal, and we could not have done it without her expertise, confidence and amazing personality. We are so happy we chose her, and would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking to have an amazing, hassle-free wedding experience. ❤️Their marriage ceremony was a destination wedding in The Crystal Ballroom, Ocala. After working online and by phone we met before the wedding. Last minute adjustments were made just before the ceremony began. The Father of the Groom gifted the couple with an eloquent opening prayer and he stepped forward later to led the sand unity the ceremony. A friend of the family was invited to sing about 5 min before we began. When he opened his heart and when the song filled the room, it gave me goosebumps! Everything went smoothly and it was marvelous!

Wendy is so frickin cool! As a nonbinary person, I was bracing for the worst, but Wendy used the proper pronouns for the whole ceremony and was extremely courteous and kind. Perfect Day

Simply Elegant Ceremony

Unless of course you like to be stressed! Wendy was amazing! I don't know what I would have done without her! I was expecting to receive more direction from the venue owner's, but I did not. Thank goodness Wendy was there with tips tricks and coordinations!! If you want your event to be stress free and look effortless look no further. Incredible value for cost and the responsiveness for someone anxious like myself was a blessing. I cannot say enough good things!!

Simple and Special Elopement
My husband and I eloped and had the most wonderful experience with Wendy from Our Simple Ceremony. She went above and beyond to make our simple ceremony special. She walked us through the whole thing and even before the actual wedding ceremony she was there to answer and and all questions we had. I didn't expect our little ceremony to be so beautiful but it truly was all thanks to Wendy. We will forever treasure it especially since Wendy was kind enough to take some pictures of us (not something an officiant needs to do at all but since we had no photographer, she amazingly stepped in and helped us capture a few lovely moments. The greatest experience for creating a ceremony!
Wendy really did an exceptional job officiating our wedding. Even though it took us almost 4 years to actually have our wedding from the time we first starting working with her (Covid made it so we had to postpone our original date), every step was easy and I loved how our ceremony turned out. It was everything we were looking for!
She has pre-written vows in several styles to choose from, or you can write your own; she also has sweet/romantic little additions like poems that you can choose so that you can make your ceremony as long or short as you want it. Basically, it was simply easy… I was personally worried about the ceremony because I didn’t know what to do or even how to begin, but I told her this in the beginning and she really went above and beyond to help us with everything.
Also, she is just the sweetest person. Her calming presence really helped me to not worry about anything while we were exchanging vows. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to everyone!

Wendy was AMAZING to work with for our wedding. We had to postpone our date 4 times as we ended up eloping on our original date to get legally married. Wendy was able to still be our officiant and marry us "again" with the reading of our vows in front of our family and friends on 5/1/21. Professional and Prompt Wedding Ceremony Officiant
Wendy was our officiant for our wedding on 10/25/19 at Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, FL. She is spectacular! The personalized wedding vows she helped us with were so beautiful. She is professional, prompt, and thorough. She is patient but will get things done in a timely manner. We asked her to come to our rehearsal the day before, where she went over the ceremony processional, different sections of the ceremony itself, and recessional twice. She made sure everyone was clear about what their expectations were for the ceremony.
On our wedding day, everything went incredibly smoothly and the ceremony was so beautiful. I definitely think Wendy's professionalism and experience was the reason why.
I would 100% recommend Wendy to anyone looking for a wedding officiant in the area.

I could not have asked for a better ceremony. We planned our wedding in less than 30 days notice and had no idea how we where going to pull it off. Wendy was amazing. She responded promptly, was available when we needed her, and most importantly had a beautiful ceremony planned out for us. We didn't have to do anything at all, just show up! It really took the stress out of wedding planning. We where amazed by how much little input we gave Wendy but yet she planned the ceremony as if she has known us forever. It was a truly beautiful, personal, and intimate ceremony. We really could not have pulled it off if it wasn't for her. She is amazing!

God has a way of making things work
We are an older couple (70"s)and have been single for more than 20 yrs. Had no knowledge of current procedures for getting married, legalities(before and after) and follow up requirements. I searched for a month to find an officiant in our area with no success. We only had five days left to get married or start the process again. Then I found Wendy on line. Called her and explained situation. She took information and advised me she could not only perform ceremony later that day but that she would come to our home. How is that for service? She came, married us and bought a packet with everything we needed to follow up on. I cannot recommend her enough. She is personable professional and knowledgeable and has a sweet , gentle personality. THANK YOU

Our Simple Ceremony is Simply Excellent!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Wendy and Our Simple Ceremony! Wendy was professional, quick to respond, caring, understanding, flexible, and knowledgeable. We were coming from out of town and she made everything so easy for us. The wedding package she put together was a wonderful touch. My only regret was not taking two seconds to get a picture of us with her after the ceremony! I would highly recommend Wendy and Our Simple Service. Wendy Thurow married my husband and I in Peggy O'neil Basham Park on June 23, 2018. We were planning to have a very small ceremony. Wendy's response was very quick and we went over all options leaving nothing out. All emails and phone calls were very details and she made sure we were all on the same page. Wendy recommended the beautiful Peggy O'neil Basham Park. When we arrived she was there early scouting the perfect spot to perform the ceremony. And to top it all off we did not hire cameraman for our ceremony, or so we thought! Wendy doubled as our officiant and snapped a bunch of pictures for us at the same time. And they came out great!! My husband and I truly thank Wendy for being so personable and sweet on our special day.

Wendy was amazing to work with! We decided to do the "sign and seal" package since we didn't want to have a ceremony. Wendy sent quick responses to my emails when I was first inquiring about Our Simple Ceremony. We found it difficult to find a good time to get married at the courthouse due to work conflicts, but Wendy offered a nice variety of time slots to choose from. At the Starbucks meeting, she explained the whole process well (what was going to happen at the meeting and what needed to happen after the marriage), which made the experience stress-free! I appreciated the fact that the "declaration of marriage" was sweet and dear to the heart. Thank you Wendy!

Wendy was the perfect officiant for our wedding. She had a calm, positive presence and delivered an elegant ceremony. We worked with her throughout the process on our vows, which we wrote with her help. After several drafts, we ended up with a final version that we loved! Also, she gave us a booklet with our vows written out as a souvenir, so that we can always look back on our ceremony. Wendy is the best! She sent us a questionnaire about us and what our style was for the ceremony and she created our entire ceremony from scratch! We were able to add and remove what we wanted. My husband and I decided to write our own vows and I'm pretty sue my husband sent her his vows the week of the wedding ??! She is incredibly professional, but you can tell she absolutely loves being an officiant! She performs the ceremony from a portfolio and your vows are there too! My favorite part is that you get to keep your full ceremony portfolio and it looks so beautiful! Wendy got back to us on the same day and was able to confirm her availability. She sent documentation for us to review and we had the ceremony we wanted (not what someone else thought we should have). She also whispered instructions during so we didn't look clueless and was able to handle our dogs freaking out and barking in the middle. Very professional.

Wendy at Our Simple Ceremony made our lives really easy as we were preparing for our wedding. She took care of all the legal aspects for us (apart from the marriage license we had to get). She completely prepared our ceremony for us, giving us a number of options to choose from and then taking it from there. She was receptive to any changes or edits we asked for. She showed up to the wedding early, was very professional in all dealings with us, and seemed genuinely happy to be marrying us. She did a wonderful job with the ceremony! We'd recommend her to anyone needing a professional marriage officiant who helps relieve a lot of pre-wedding stress!

She was very personable and helpful. We were able to get a date very quickly and she took the time to explain everything in detail before going through with the ceremony. She was very reasonably priced and she made us feel comfortable. She also offered a bigger ceremony later on if and when we had more money. She even made sure we had the opportunity to make our own vows which was nice. She even stayed a bit after we were done and chatted with us. I give her very high regards and appreciate all she did for us. She is also one of the only people who fills out the wedding papers properly for the courts.

Wendy is wonderful! She was a wonderful, calming and organized influence on our wedding nuptials. She helped us in organizing our thoughts, giving us options and incorporating our vows to one another. Our ceremony was wonderfully 'us' , and we have Wendy to thank for keeping it organized but not informal. She was a calming presence the day of, with a light sense of humor to keep everyone smiling but on task. I heard from MANY people "WHERE did you FIND her?! She was terrific!" She did such a great job. The questionnaire she sent us helped us organize our thoughts and allowed us to have a heartfelt, but not 'sappy' ceremony. We do not have a church, we're not religious people, but through the questionnaire we realized there was an option to have reverent but not religious (also options for religious for those who have a specific faith) which really appealed to us. We wanted something personal and lovely but not cloying or faith-based, and she delivered. Her options would work for all sorts of people from all backgrounds, and that is great. We were so pleased. Everyone said our vows to one another (Wendy organized and put together the ceremony and we additionally wrote vows to one another) were the most heartfelt and lovely they had heard. Not a dry eye in the house! Thank you, Wendy.. it was just wonderful!

Wendy was excellent. Since the first e-mail to our wedding day we had open channels of communication. She provided us all the information we needed and her recommendations for a restaurant, the location, and the photographer were spot on. We are so glad God put Wendy on our path to assist us with our wedding and help us make this the best day of our lives!

Wendy was great throughout the entire process. She sent us sample ceremonies in advance so we could choose how long (short) our ceremony would be. This was particularly awesome because we gave her 4 weeks notice. She was also helpful during the ceremony to keep us calm and on track even when our dogs went crazy. All in all I couldn't have asked for a better officiant.

Wendy was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding. Throughout the whole planning process and on our wedding day, she was so easy to work with. All of our communications were stress-free and done via email. Wendy took the time to get to know more about us as a couple to provide us with a beautiful, personalized ceremony that we will cherish forever. She offered great, comprehensive instructions and suggestions on how to review and customize our ceremony to suit our preferences. When we each met with her for the first time on our wedding day she was so kind, calm and professional, which helped relax some of the nerves! During the ceremony she took her time to not rush through everything and make sure we had a moment to pause and breathe between parts when needed. And during "the kiss," she discretely stepped out of the shot so that the photographer could capture the moment with just us two in the frame (I've seen so many officiators who don't do this!) She was an integral part in making our ceremony such a memorable & special experience for us, and afterwards she gave us a bound copy of the ceremony and our vows as a keepsake. She even included directions on how to go about changing my last name (if desired) and mailed our license to the Clerk of Court, so that we had one less thing to do after the wedding. I would highly recommend Wendy to anyone looking for a dedicated, professional & compassionate officiator for their ceremony. Our experience with her was truly wonderful!

We chose Wendy to officiate our wedding ceremony after reading all of her fabulous reviews and she certainly lives up to them! She was prompt in answering all of my emails, was super organized, very detailed, and made sure you knew exactly what to expect. She made putting together our ceremony so easy and had a lot of suggestions for the different parts of the ceremony. You are free to pick from her suggestions, combine things, delete things, make it your own, whatever you want. She was so helpful at our rehearsal by making sure everyone knew what they were supposed to do and where they were supposed to be. We would have been a mess without her! She did an amazing job and our ceremony was perfect. Wendy truly cares about making sure your ceremony is perfect and that it is all about you!
