For our wedding, we really wanted a venue that was fun, laid back, and beautiful, and Our Farm fit the bill perfectly! Not only is Jimmy incredible personable and helpful, his property is gorgeous! From the barns and expansive fields, to the colorful gardens, our photographer had her pick of beautiful backdrops. Not to mention Sherman the donkey posing for the camera! And of course Boris the trebuchet - I included it on our wedding website and in almost every conversation about the wedding I could... guests were totally blown away and it really made the wedding day something special. My guests all commented on how "us" the wedding was, which was really important when we were picking a venue - if you want a location that sets your wedding apart, and/or are looking for a more "DIY" venue where you are choosing your own outside vendors, definitely choose Our Farm! -

The farm is stunning: a large, handsome, and very clean wooden barn set amid sprays of colorful flowers, hiding fields and forests in the back.
The barn is full of beautiful wooden furniture that exactly matched the aesthetic for our wedding. Moreover, from a logistics standpoint, the ability to use the many well-crafted benches for the ceremony cut down on the number of chairs we needed to set up and fit better into the natural environment of the venue.
The altar area is a charming arc surrounded by flowers. We loved the idea of getting married outdoors, and luckily the weather was perfect. After the ceremony, Jimmy gave the kids in attendance horse rides and drove folks young and old around on a hayride. We hadn’t even planned on those activities, but offering them was the sort of warm gesture that we came to associate with the farmers, the Golubs.
Overall, the Golubs were very welcoming of our family and friends. Jimmy was on-hand on and off throughout the days before the wedding and especially the day of, helping set up. (In fact, he helped us before the wedding to find the perfect local vendors and scope out exactly what support we’d need for the size of our guest list.)
But now we must address the elephant in the room: in addition to the flower gardens, spacious barn, ceremony area, horses, and tractors, the farm also sports a working TREBUCHET! Jimmy allows couples who get married on the farm to use this fancier cousin of a catapult to launch celebratory fruit into the air and, a long parabolic arc later, right into the middle of a field, making quite the commemorative splat. Everyone got hype about the trebuchet, especially the kids. This was a really memorable aspect of the wedding. The Golubs definitely set the bar high for a beautiful, outdoor, kid-friendly wedding venue offering lots of activities.
Given its scenic location, close proximity to Syracuse, and many amenities, we were also amazed by the very reasonable price of renting it out for the weekend. We can’t recommend Our Farm strongly enough. So many thanks to Jimmy and Janyne for your hospitality!

My husband and I had our wedding at Our Farm on 9/10/2022. We toured the venue and met Jimmy and Janine back in 2020. It was the first and only venue we looked at. We were sold immediately! We couldn’t be happier with our choice. We feel bonded for life with owners Jimmy and Janine, and their sweet pups! Elroy made lots of new friends on our wedding day. He stole the show! A huge thank you to Jimmy and Janine for allowing us to take photos with Misty, use their pumpkins for decor, and letting us launch a pumpkin to celebrate our union! We had a scary good time! -

Our farm is a dream location for having your wedding.
Working with Jimmy could not have been easier. Jimmy took the time before our day to meet us in advance, answer questions, coordinate with our wedding planner, give a tour, and we even went back a couple days later when he let us take a few pictures on the horse that we later used for table gifts and our guest love them! He made everything about the day so special and he puts his heart and soul into the venue. He is not just a wedding vendor, but is now our friend. Always wanting a farm venue, Jimmy’s place was perfect. You start your day getting ready in Jimmy’s parlor, then have photos by his beautiful gardens. He works closely with a local wedding planner and securing the vendors for everything was simple (tent, food, bar). We saved quite a bit as well working with the vendors individually and providing our own alcohol.
There is so much to do on “the farm.” Our guests have fantastic shots with his happy horse, mini horse and donkey, in the gorgeous barn, cocktail wagons and near the sunflowers. Our guests are still talking about how unique and magical the day was and how they have never been to a farm wedding.
We wanted guests to bring their children and there was so much for them to do, even with 24 children present, they were so occupied it didn’t feel like that many kids were there.
It’s a beautiful special location and I couldn’t have asked for or wished for a better place. If you want to have an outdoors wedding please have your wedding here and don’t even consider another venue.

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding - from the barn to the trebuchet, the tractor rides to the beautiful scenery of upstate New York - Our Farm is the best! When cold and rainy weather came in, Jimmy was quick to help us provide the best experience for us and for our guests --we all had SO much fun here, rain or shine!! And the accommodations in the area are top notch which made it really easy for us to have a destination wedding. We're so thankful to have been able to get married here!Our Farm's reply:

My husband Jeff and I had a magical wedding in August 2019 at Our Farm. When looking for venues, we knew we wanted a relaxed, beautiful barn venue that we could put our own twist on, but not a “country” wedding. This place fit the bill exactly, but what really drew us in was how sweet Jimmy and Janine were and how much value was included in the pricing. The ability to set up the few days before the wedding and have the day or so after to clean up and collect supplies was amazing. They opened their house to our families and wedding party and even allowed our flower girl to get her nap in before the ceremony. All recommended vendors were amazing to work with (Beth as coordinator; Intents Events; Bull & Bear). Turns out, we had one of the worst storms of the summer blow through right as guests were beginning to arrive. Jimmy and Beth handled the situation so seamlessly by moving the ceremony from outside to inside the barn at the last minute, I barely even noticed the horrible weather. The sun thankfully came out as we were finishing dinner and our guests were able to experience all that the farm had to offer (gardens, animals, Boris). Your wedding stands out as being one of the most memorable we’ve ever hosted because of the crazy weather we had and how well you adjusted to it. I remember Kate, you saying, “I can deal with it, as long as I’m married, at the end of the day”. Tell your mom we have real stone stairs between the house and the barn now. I escorted her In the rain, and I was holding on to her as tight as I could. I wasn’t going to let anything happen to her. Thanks for the wonderfully written review.

2020 was a difficult year to have a wedding. Jimmy and Janine Golub saved the day for us! We were able to have a small wedding (bridal party and immediate family only) at Our Farm. It was absolutely perfect! . The photographer raved about all of the great pictures she was able to take because of the beautiful and varied surroundings. As the mother of the bride, it was truly magical to see the pure joy on my daughter and son-in-law's faces. The wedding may have taken place during a pandemic but Jimmy and Janine helped to make it a beautiful, fun and joyous experience. -

Excellent venue and great hosts!
We reserved Our Farm for our August 2020 wedding the end of Feb. 2020 and then COVID-19 pandemic happened, so we had to change our plans. Jimmy and Janine were so very accommodating and understanding. We decided to have a small wedding with only 8 guests this year and postpone the wedding reception until next July. They let us have the small wedding at Our Farm this year, no charge, and it was absolutely beautiful. And they helped set up a couple benches, connected us to Wi-Fi (an immediate family member Zoomed into the wedding because they couldn't travel), provided me a space to get ready, and were just so lovely and wonderful. I would highly recommend Our Farm. -

GREAT Experience with Our Farm! The barn was stunning and cozy, with all of the charm one could expect. It was rustic with character, like being in grandpa's home, with grandma's warmth. The landscape was breathtaking and Jimmy was the best. He is fair and will do what it takes to make the day special. I will forever remember this day with a smile! -

We had our daughter's wedding at Our Farm the beginning of August 2019. It was a beautiful day held at a beautiful venue! My daughter and son-in-law live out of town so I was in charge of planning the wedding. Jimmy and Janine made the process much less stressful. They open up their grounds and home to us days before the wedding and even gave us a few days after to finish cleaning out our things. Their gardens were absolutely beautiful. They were around, helping out days before and on the day of the wedding. We couldn't ask for better hosts for our big day. I would highly recommend Our Farm to future brides and grooms! -

Magical, personal, & affordable venue
My husband Collin and I got married here on September 14th, 2019. We could not have imagined a better experience. Jimmy and Janine, the owners, get to know you as a couple and as people; you don't feel like "just another" couple at a big-business venue; it feels personal and authentic! They allow for the week before for set up, and several days after the wedding for take down. Since you'll have so much on your plate, this was a HUGE benefit! The atmosphere at the venue is breathtaking. There are so many different natural backgrounds for photographs, and the land has so many beautiful flowers and buildings. During cocktail hour, they set up games on the lawn for your wedding guests. They work closely with a wedding planner Beth Fazio, who we HIGHLY recommend. She costs extra, but winds up saving you money, time, and stress in the long run. She's a wonderful person to work with and will help you plan the whole year before your wedding if you'd like, and most importantly, on your wedding day her and her crew help with set up, clean up, and making your day absolutely breathtaking.
We cannot say enough about Out Farm as a wedding venue, and keep replaying our wedding day in our heads because it was so perfect. Thank you Jimmy, Janine, and Beth for such an experience we will remember for a lifetime!Our Farm's reply:

Wonderful people, beautiful venue!
Our wedding was just last week and we are still hearing from guests about how beautiful everything was. We had a truly wonderful experience. The Golubs were so lovely throughout the whole process, allowing us to visit several times and helping us in the days leading up to the wedding. We initially saw the farm during a blizzard, and booked it pretty much on the spot. They were so welcoming and had such beautiful pictures - we were convinced! All of the recommended vendors they mentioned were excellent, and I am so thankful we found the farm for our special day. I would recommend it to anyone!

Last December we visited Our Farm as a possible venue for my daughter’s wedding in August. From the moment we spoke to Jimmy and Janine we knew this was the perfect spot for us. This was the only venue we visited! Even with the snow covering everything, and the wind blowing you could feel how welcoming and helpful they would be. They had pictures and stories to share, and a suggested vendor list that turned out to be amazing. We went with many of their suggestions, and everyone was wonderful to work with. The Bite Box Food Truck, Intent Events, Sandra Lee Photography, Half Moon Bakery and Celebration Solutions (Beth Fazio) to help us organize everything and keep everything running smoothly the day of the wedding. Janine’s flowers were in full bloom and were absolutely beautiful. Everybody loved the lawn games, the trebuchet, and the hay rides. Having the venue for several days allowed us time to set up and not feel rushed. Beth was a huge help with the set-up and also with our flower arrangements. My husband and I knew that Our Farm was where we wanted to have our wedding the moment we stepped onto the property. Outside of the gorgeous gardens, cozy barn and overall scenic property, meeting the kind and genuine owners Jimmy & Janine really sealed the deal! Jimmy answered all of my questions throughout the process, provided recommendations, and worked behind the scenes on the day of the wedding to ensure everything was perfect. Jimmy goes above and beyond from the first appointment to the big day. He worked so hard to make our dream a reality. Jimmy makes you feel a part of his family and is so easy going and approachable. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding location. It gave us the best of both worlds, enjoying the incredible property and having the shelter of the beautiful barn. I feel so lucky to have found this venue. We made memories to last a lifetime, and much of that we owe to Jimmy and his beautiful farm. If you are considering this venue you would be crazy not to book right away. We love you Jimmy and Jeanine!!!

Jennifer Sent on 09/08/2018We had an amazing time working with Jimmy and Janine and had the most wonderful wedding at their farm! The day was perfect and Jimmy hustled throughout to make sure everything flowed smoothly. Janine's flowers were in their full glory, the horses and donkey were incredibly friendly, the trebuchet was awesome, and the whole vibe was so romantic. As we visited throughout the year, it felt like there was a new improvement every time. The farm has a lot of fun, rustic props that can be used too. Jimmy helped us move a lot around and make it absolutely perfect. The barn was perfect for dancing and we were able to choose whatever vendors we wanted. We can't recommend the coordinator Beth Fazio enough. She has been helping plan weddings at the farm for a while now and really made the day SO SPECIAL. She is independent but worked well with the Jimmy. 10/10 wish we could live it all over again and again!!

Andrew Sent on 07/24/2018Had our wedding at Our Farm a month ago and it was fantastic! Jimmy and Janine have a great venue and were fantastic hosts. They were flexible and worked hard to meet our budget and their vendor recommendations were great fits to the event we were planning. The gardens are beautiful in all our pictures and I don't think there are many other venues that let you launch a watermelon to launch your wedding! We are so happy with our choice and I know anyone who picks Our Farm will be too.

They truly want you to have an amazing day and will do anything possible to help you best achieve that. We had our ceremony outside and then used the rest of the outdoor space/barn for our reception. The guests raved over the beauty of the venue, the rustic/vintage feel, the games on the lawn, and the appearance of the farm animals! 10/10. I could not be any happier with the results of my wedding.

Rochella Sent on 06/05/2018My husband and I had our wedding at Our Farm this past weekend (June 2, 2018). There are so many great things to say about the Golub’s and Our Farm. From the moment we met Jimmy and Janine we knew we would have our wedding there. They are the nicest people, easy to work with, and so laid back. They treat you like family, not like your just another paying customer. Jimmy was always quick to respond to our questions and he was very helpful throughout our planning. The outside grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained – there are so many great places to take pictures! We had our ceremony outside and used haybales with wood boards that Our Farm had on site for seating. Yard games were set up for the guests! We used the barn for dancing! The barn has a wood floor and bathrooms. We loved being able to choose whatever vendors we wanted to use for things such as the music, dessert, catering, etc. Jimmy and Janine were very helpful with recommendations of different places people had used previously. There is also a trebuchet that is used to launch a watermelon or pumpkin (depending on the season) after the ceremony…need I say more?! Our wedding was perfect and we would not change a thing.
