He was well-organized and worked amazingly well

My wedding reception was fantastic and it was all thanks to Otto Productions! They have a great team and he did such a phenomenal job!! I cannot think him enough for his work at the wedding. He was well-organized and worked amazingly well with our other vendors. At the end of the night, everyone was on the dance floor and everyone had so much fun.

Overall we felt very comfortable throughout the entire process. On the first night, the DJ was already there at the time promised, equipment was fully set up, and he ready to go. If you are looking for a DJ that is attentive to detail then Otto Productions is the DJ to book! I could not be more happy with our choice. Frank helped us so much and thought of things that we did not think of. He kept people on the dance floor and was professional! His assistant Amber was fantastic. So many people complemented that she carried my plate for me in the buffet line so that I did not get anything on my dress. She got me and my bridal party drinks throughout the night. Frank is awesome. From start to finish, he killed it. The one thing my husband and I wanted was a good party and he delivered. We had some difficulties with our venue and his performance helped everyone overlook the mishap. Our wedding would not have been what it was (an amazing time and party) Thank you Frank & Jessica!! You made our day everything we dreamed about and more.

We are so glad we went with the up-lighting and monogram. It added the excitement and helped our photographer get the great photos we now have. Our guest could not stop talking about how much better the hall looked with the up lights.

We met with Frank from Otto Productions / Pittsburgh Event Lighting and hired him that day. He was fantastic with all of his ideas and how to make our wedding unique. He actually interviewed us so that he could get to know us for who we are, and what is important in our relationship and how we imagined our big day.

Our big day went off without a hitch, expect for me backing into neighbors car. The lighting was spectacular and everyone danced and had a great time. His assistant, Tara gave us great pictures at the end of the night we could put on-line right away. It was the best freebie ever.

BEST DJ EVER! Frank and Tara are a great team. He reads the crowd perfectly and had everyone dancing ALL NIGHT LONG, no one wanted to leave! Even my new husband who does NOT dance was up on the dance floor all night! We had a blast and he played the BEST music. The sound quality was amazing, not too loud for the older folks but loud enough for us dancers....He also did my ceremony music PERFECTLY and all of our special songs and cake cutting/garter toss etc. without a hitch. HIGHLY recommended!

Working with Otto Productions was a stress-free experience from start to finish. The process of booking for our wedding day was simple and no fuss. Tara was great with our guests, kept everything organized and gave us a disc of photos for us with all of the pictures of our friends and family having fun throughout the night. Our DJ, Frank was beyond impressive. He was professional both during the planning process and day of. He answered all of our questions, guided us through anything we weren't sure about, and made sure he knew what we wanted on our big day. At the wedding, Tara and Frank checked on us frequently, led us through all the details we had previously planned, and most importantly...he made sure everyone had a great time. So many of our guests commented on how they couldn't even sit down because every song he played made them want to get out there and dance more! He has an amazing talent for what he does, and we were so happy to have him with us. We will refer everyone we know. Ask for Frank and Tara when you book!

Frank and Tara were awesome!

First, let me say that going into the night we had a few concerns: not much availability of YouTube videos highlighting Frank's bridal party intros, name mispronunciation(Frank had a helluva time with my last name), and general uncertainty regarding the up lighting and how it would look.

My wife and I walked into the reception before anyone was in there(they were stoll at cocktail hour) to check things out. Frank greeted us at the limo and politely held the door. Everything looked great, including Frank's lighting, which transitioned and looked extremely professional the entire night.

Fast forward to the announcing, we hung out while he was calling everyone in thebridal party out and he did a superb job, the crowd was going nuts, the transitions between couples and songs was smooth, and he didn't butcher any names. Then it was our turn to come out, we chose Tiesto - Red Lights, and were blown away at the reception we received and how he made his lights dance to the song. Another solid job by Frank.

He played some Italian music during dinner to accompany the Italian theme we had going, kept the crowd moving all night to a crowd pleasing blend, some of what we requested but a lot of other stuff that fit too; my wife's 93 year old grandmother was actually dancing several times throughout the evening so we really can't criticize any of his musical choices.

Lastly, Tara was great at keeping the night flowing and was a great sport(the best man gave her the finger and she brushed it off - sorry Tara!). Three examples of the kind of stuff she does, in addition to tracking us down for cake cutting and whatnot: 1) she went outside and gathered alone who was wearing a wedding ring for the anniversary dance and 2) she organized some wobble dance that I missed but everyone who was in the room got in on and loved 3) And she also took 300+ pics of us that she burned to a cd and gave to us that night

They make an awesome duo!

Entertainment:
Frank and his assistant Tara were nothing short of amazing, and they exceeded every expectation we had. I knew that I wanted Frank to DJ and do the lighting our wedding when I heard him at my best friend's wedding a year and a half earlier. Otto Productions and Pittsburgh Event Lighting were the second vendor we booked - that's how important our music was to us! I loved that he was able to naturally read our crowd to get a feel for what our family/friends liked and what would keep them dancing.

When we meet six weeks before my Wedding to go over our day, he answered every question I had, and even ones I didn't know I had; it so put me at ease. I really liked that he told me that all I had to do was make eye contact with him during our parents dance, because we both picked very long songs, to fade out our songs.

Tara was also a lifesaver when, after my bouquet toss, I realized I didn't have my garter on (I hadn't worn it because it was kind of annoying.) Tara quickly assured me that she would find it for me, the music never stopped, and it was never awkward. I had my garter within minutes and the show went on without missing a beat!

We continue to receive compliments on our DJs/music and that people have never been to a wedding where everyone was literally on the dance floor ALL night long. It was a nonstop party and we want to do it all over again! I recommend Otto Productions highly and without reservation for a wedding- they were amazing!!

Lighting:
Fantastic work, in all aspects! They knew exactly how to set up for a romantic evening ballroom, they know when to reign it in and when to do dramatic. Super nice people, prompt, and their lighting designs are breath taking!

Frank was our DJ ( Dj Otto, Otto Productions) and he was absolutely amazing! People never left the dance floor and were dancing before the dance floor was even "open." All of his music flowed together perfectly, he played songs that everyone dance too. I don't remember a 'bad' song. Perfect music for our perfect day.

Otto Productions provided a professional wedding assistant: Amanda. She kept everything following. She also took pictures and gave us pictures at the end of the night, we were able to post them right away. Very cool!!

He also did our ceremony and cocktail hour which I had made special request for and he was able to play everything exactly how we was asked! We had our reception at the George Washington Hotel in Lit. Washington, It is an historical landmark and our selection of 'Big Band' music worked perfectly.

My biggest worry was I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for cheesiness. It’s not like you can go to a taste-test for a DJ. I searched all over and found Otto Productions via WeddingWire. I spoke to him on the phone and he sounded great. Great voice, good ideas, and a fair price. We booked him immediately.

My fiancée and I meet up with him about six weeks before the wedding to go over songs and timeline. Another great thing is Frank has a website setup were you can add songs, times, reception and ceremony notes etc. It becomes very helpful having all the information in one location. He also has a very professional way about him and wonderful personality. Definitely knew he’s music and had cool suggestions and ideas. Great ideas we would have not thought about on our own.

Wedding day was a blur but Frank and Tara were already set up well before the ceremony, including having a second location to set up where the cocktail hour was being held. Also all the equipment was out of sight in the reception room. The music was great and matched my playlists and my main songs. Everyone certainly enjoyed the dancing and the music.

This was a blessing in disguise, having the original DJ back out and being able to book Otto Productions was a lifesaver. He was perfect, knew the location and put us at ease during this stressful event.

Cannot say enough good things about Frank! We were very unsure about the whole process of choosing a DJ/MC for our wedding. How do you know if someone is going to suit what you're looking for?! After meeting with Frank we felt really comfortable and confident in his services. He really seemed to "get us". We had an interesting dancing group so we crossed our fingers that things would work out. We couldn't have been happier with how well everything went! Frank was great about feeling out the crowd as to what everyone was really feeling or not. Even people we didn't expect to dance did! He really helped set a fun vibe for the "party" part of the wedding but was also extremely helpful with making sure that we ran on our timeline. STOP your search for the perfect DJ! You found him!! When we started our search for a wedding DJ I basically gave up hope that we'd find someone that would "get us" and actually play music we wanted to hear. They all seemed a bit "cheesy" and no one was unique. Then I came across Frank/Otto!! I will forever be thankful for Frank & Tara and his ability to make our wedding fit us as a couple. I have goosebumps just thinking about how special they made our day for us.

Frank is MORE than a DJ! He helped get a timeline in place and really took initiative as to when the cake cutting, garter toss, ect took place. I had numerous guests say how well our wedding & reception flowed and I thank Tara for that. Many of the guests asked how we knew the DJ or if he was a friend of ours. They couldn't believe that he put so much effort into just us and loved him as much as we did. I've had multiple people say that was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Again, I thank Frank for this!! There isn't another DJ comparable to him. He is assertive, friendly, fun and gives great suggestions and ideas. If you get Frank/Otto for your special day I'd consider you lucky just as we were!

Otto Productions was phenomenal!! The music wasn't overly loud, he played every song we asked and he kept us on schedule! We had a 5 hour window for the Ceremony and Reception and Frank and Tara kept us on point.

Otto Productions has an easy to use website and every song imaginable. And if for some reason they don't have your song, they will purchase it for you. Frank meet with us six weeks before and called us a few days prior to go over all the songs, the names of the bridal party, and the rest of the details. Very easy to work with!! He even had a camera with him and recorded the highlights of the evening and made it available to us on a DVD.

Otto Productions went above and beyond our expectations and we absolutely recommend him!

One of the few things I was responsible for during my wedding was the DJ. After hours of searching and nonstop disappointment, I came across Otto Productions website. I gave Max a call and he was professional and yet, I felt like I was talking to a regular guy, unlike my other interaction with money hungry DJs. I set up a meeting with Frank and my future wife. After that, the rest was history. The contract details were completed swiftly and all that was left was the planning and the party

Finally, the day of our wedding, I was ecstatic about what Frank and his assistant Tara was able to accomplish. The lighting services he provided were beautiful and exactly what my wife wanted. I trusted his expertise and skills. I literally had people tell me that he was one of the best DJs they have seen do a wedding. Throughout the evening, Frank kept his pulse on the crowd and adjusted accordingly. He even weaved in a special moment for my mother and me. Again, Frank/Otto displayed poise, professionalism, and enthusiasm throughout our event and made our special day one to remember. Amazing and painless experience! People are still talking about my reception and how incredibly FUN and personal it was!!! Frank and Tara never missed a beat and everyone had a BLAST! My wife and I were thrilled to have had Frank be our DJ/MC for our wedding day. Frank was such a professional and a pleasant person to work with. We meet few times before my wedding to go over the logistics and foreign names he had to pronounce, and he did AMAZINGGG! I can honestly say that because of Frank and his assistant Tara everything went smoothly and my wedding was perfect! I owe a huge success of my wedding to Frank.

I researched a lot of DJs and picked Otto Productions based largely on his superb online reviews - reviews that are well-deserved as it turns out. While planning the wedding, Frank was very responsive and helpful. He met with us about a month before and put together a very comprehensive timeline. We had a lot of questions (and changed minds) about different songs/events but he worked with us through it all. He really went above and beyond. Our hotel coordinator actually mentioned that Frank is a preferred vendor and is professional and engaged, and becomes friends with many of his clients.

At the wedding, he handled the ceremony sound and the reception music. He did an amazing job! The dance floor was packed the whole time. He did an incredible job at reading the crowd and playing fun songs. No one wanted to leave the dancefloor to even get a drink! Many, many people commented on what a great DJ he was. If I had to do it again tomorrow, I would not hesitate to hire Otto Productions again. He really made our wedding so much fun and i could not be happier with his services.

As a graduate student planning a wedding, selecting music and DJ service seemed a formidable task. Frank took all of the stress out of our wedding music. I saw a number of positive reviews for the Otto Productions and decided to go with them. They were prompt in all matters of business. They also have a very well-developed system for music selection. My fiancée and I were able to go onto their website and listen to clips of popular songs for each part of the ceremony and reception. Their website also featured easy-to-use timelines and worksheets, allowing me to simply choose which traditions I wanted to include in my ceremony and reception. Frank and Rebecca were fantastic. I spent two hours with him on the phone a month before the wedding, working out all of the details of the night. He worked hard to get a sense of what kind of night we wanted and how to make our night about us and very personalized. From the first song to the last, there were people constantly on the dance floor. We were supposed to end the reception at twelve, but people were having so much fun dancing that we stayed an extra half an hour.

The up-lighting was simply awesome. They are truly the best in Pittsburgh. The colors were bright and rich and when it was time to dance they moved to the music with different patterns and colors.

They truly want and make your day flow as easily as possible. They kept our guests dancing past our expected end time and made sure everyone knew what was going on through the day! We had numerous events and surprises throughout our night and no one missed a thing! Frank, the owner, was our DJ and he is amazing!! Such a gentleman that really gauges the guests to play fun, up beat music to keep everyone having a blast! Rebecca, our professional coordinator, was so fun to work with and helped create a perfect ceremony and set up the most amazing up-lighting ever! They were by far the most creative and best vendors at our wedding.

Amazing! Frank was the DJ the day of our wedding and he was very professional and courteous to not only me, but every guest. My husband and I met with Frank a few weeks before our wedding and it was very relaxed and informal. We selected a few "must plays" at the reception, but DJ Otto took our list and made it his own. He played music everyone enjoyed and the dance floor was never empty! The enthusiasm Frank has for music and making sure everyone has a good time is absolutely fantastic and I will definitely recommend them to other brides-to-be!! The value we received for their services was also spectacular! My parents simply could not get over how the up-lighting transformed the venue.

Frank is the most delightful person to work with! I had complete control over the music played, and the day of the wedding I was not worried at all about things going as planned.....Frank and his assistant, Britney are very organized and responsible and I knew I had nothing to worry about. He made sure every single detail was accounted for, and I am so glad I chose him to do the ceremony and the reception music. He was not tacky at all which was my number one concern with the DJ for the wedding...

I didn't want obnoxious comments and cheesy music Frank had everything timed perfectly and made it not only an extremely classy event, but the most fun I have ever had in my life! Every song was played at the correct time, and every guest commented on what great music we had. My sister used Otto Productions for her wedding two years ago and I knew then that I had to have Frank DJ my wedding also! This was the least stressful part of planning my wedding because I knew that everything was going to be perfect, and it was! Frank called us a few days before the wedding to make sure he got all the pronunciations right (and there were some tough ones), to make sure that he understood exactly how we wanted the reception to flow, and to assure us that we don't need to worry about a thing. He was right.

Frank also did the lighting for my wedding and I'm still, weeks later, getting compliments on the how the place looked. The aqua and purple uplighting and monogram were exactly as we envisioned and made for excellent background for photos.

I know we could have gotten someone for less, but are wedding would have been just OK. Everyone has said it was the best wedding they've been to. I can't thank Frank and Britney enough, everything was so great!!!

I found Otto Productions online. When I sent an email inquiry about their Entertainment & Lighting services for my wedding reception and I received a call from them the next day. The pricing was very reasonable compared to some of the other companies I researched. Anytime I had a question he was easy to reach.

Music:

My husband and I were very concerned about picking the right wedding DJ because we knew that the success of a wedding can often be dictated by whether your guests get out—and stay out—on the dance floor. We can say without reservation that Frank (Otto Productions) really delivered! He provided the music for our cocktail hour and reception and kept guests moving the entire night. He is great at reading the crowd and could immediately tell what songs were working or not working; he always adjusted quickly and accordingly to keep everyone on their feet. We received many compliments from our guests about the music at our wedding and how much fun they had dancing!

In addition to providing great music from a variety of eras and genres, Frank was extremely poised and professional during our reception. Since our guests were mostly in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, it was extremely important to us that our DJ have some refinement and class. Frank definitely has both.

Lighting:

The lighting turned out beautiful and my guest loved the look of the room. We received so many compliments. We also had our name in lights on the wall behind us which added a personal touch. I would highly recommend this company to any one getting married.

They did an awesome job in making my event look beautiful!

The on-line planning tools on the Otto Productions website were so simple to use , but very thorough/complete. Frank returned all of my calls promptly and was always easy to talk to , and friendly, yet professional. He really knows his stuff. He was the most helpful vendor that I dealt with during my wedding planning process. My favorite thing about having Otto Productions do my wedding was their use of lighting. The lighting was SPECTACULAR! The lights changed colors and moved to the music when we started to dance.....all of the color and movement but still elegant and classy ( not tacky looking). He sure kept his promise to make my wedding better than my cousins. I will recommend Otto Productions to all of my friends, relatives, acquaintances and anyone who asks.

DJ OTTO executed our event flawlessly from name pronunciation, to the timing of events and overall flow. He was on top of everyl ast detail in advance of the big day, I felt very confident that things would be done correctly and without my needed instruction the day of the wedding. We never had dead air, he kept the music coming from cocktail hour through the last dance. The up-lighting was perfect and really helped to set an elegant mood. He even did some pin spot lighting on our cake and for our first dance, it was amazing. His assistant helped to coordinate the bridal party and made sure everyone and everything was in the right place at the right time. I wasn't running around and neither were my bridesmaids. She even delivered cocktails to us in the bridal suite along with appetizers. DJ OTTO played all of the music we requested and really catered to the crowd. Everyone was dancing, all ages were having a great time. We have some great photos from the dance floor. It was a night to remember forever! Thanks DJ OTTO!! I would recommend DJ Otto for any wedding or event.

Wonderful DJ to work with. Frank always communicated from the time I made my first phone call to him to obtain information about his services to the month after our wedding. Was very flexible in meeting with me and my husband and was very detailed in planning for our event. Loved Frank's online planner for our wedding, I think I went on there every other week and updated it. During our wedding Frank and his assistant were there way in advance setting up. We were also not sure what to play during the dancing part of our reception, I told Frank I wanted current dance music, I can honestly tell you that everyone stayed on the dance floor the entire night, we even went past our reception time by 45 minutes because there were still so many people on the dance floor. Frank had great recommendations for music when I wasn't sure exactly of what I wanted. His assistant was such a help the day of the wedding and even took photos along with our photographer, and her photos turned out great. Loved that we had our DJ for the entire day, as some dj's are for 4 hours and charge for additional hours.. I cannot say one thing that should have been better because everything was great and beyond what we expected. Frank is very pushy about his uplighting LOL, in his pictures from other weddings nad school dances the uplighting is beautiful. However I did not want much up lighting and made that clear fromt he beginning, Frank did the lighting exactly as I had asked and it turned out beautifully, I did let him go crazy with the uplighting once the dancing actually started and even that looked awesome! Thanks again Frank! :)

My husband and I live in Chicago right now, but our wedding was in Pittsburgh. We needed vendors that we could call whenever we had any type of question due to the fact that we could not just meet up with them whenever we wanted. One of the main things I was looking for with a DJ was someone to provide uplighting. After hours of searching online and speaking to a couple DJ's on the phone, I finally decided we'd go with Frank. One of the best decisions ever for our wedding! He was on the same page as my husband and I were with what music we did NOT want to hear, which helped. He even had an online page that I could set up for the day of with timing for everything and what songs we wanted for special reasons. I was even able to give that link to friends so they could request songs before the day (just in case I didn't like their choices...haha). The uplighting he provided was perfect and he kept everyone down to my great Aunt (who's in her 80's!) dancing all night! it was the perfect mix of songs from today and classics that worked so well. He had an assistant, Jeanie, who was his right hand gal. She was there making sure everything was running smoothly, which it did :-) SO, if you're looking for an experienced and dedicated person for your DJ services on your big day, go with Otto Productions!

Otto Productions was great. I originally contacted Frank to do the lighting but got a great DJ as well. Frank kept everyone dancing all night long. Guests were happy that he played their requests and kept the night moving. His assistant was also really helpful in making sure everyone was where they should be when they should be and she took photos all night long and gave them to us at the end of the night! Bonus!

The lighting was beautiful and really set the tone for the night. Lighting isn't always necessary but it really adds a wow factor to the event and I'm so happy I did it. The dynamic lighting made it feel like a club once dancing begun. It was a blast.

Frank was also great at keeping me organized. I was the procrastinating bride and he had a great setup online to try and keep me on task. He also did a great job in trying to accommodate our last minute changes. Sometimes an idea pops into your head last minute and he had the tools to make it happen.

Top notch professional, very tech savvy, and he made everything perfect. The uplighting added so much to the intimate ambiance of the ceremony and livened up the banquet hall for our reception. We'd book him again in a heartbeat and we are recommending him to all of our friends getting married. I was very nervous to pick a DJ and was still unsure of Frank when we booked him. He was not very organized when we met in person or talked on the phone. However, his lighting for the reception was fantastic and he was very knowledgeable when it came to the wedding reception outline/timeframe. He had an online music programmer where you and your significant other can choose priority songs and songs that you do not want played at the reception. He did play many other songs that I didn't even think of, which had everyone up and moving.

**The reason he does not get a 5 is because he messed up my name! Yes, the BRIDES name... not only once at the rehearsal, but once at the reception. I will never forget that. I was very upset and embarrassed.

His assistant, Tara, was WONDERFUL! She made sure that me and my husband always had a drink or whatever we needed. She carried my plates so I didn't get anything on my dress since we had stations. Tara also took pictures throughout the night to capture moments that we would like to share before receiving the pictures from our photographer, which was a big bonus. She is a true asset.
