  Made our big day so easy!

  We got married at Otsego Resort in Oct. 2020. Amanda made sure it was the perfect day! We had a small wedding, and even with a scaled-down event, we felt really special and like every detail was taken care of.
  
  We got married on the Duck Blind Grille Terrace with the most gorgeous fall colors on the ski hill behind us. Amanda organized the day and we stayed on track. Afterwards, we were able to enjoy time with our families, cocktails and appetizers, and then dinner all in the Potresina Room, which was the perfect fit. We had the same gorgeous view for dinner, and the setup was intimate and special, so we could really spend the evening with talking with our loved ones and enjoying every part of the day.
  
  We stayed at the Resort for two nights, also, and our room was great! Very comfortable and quiet and we were happy to have a nice mini getaway wrapped up in our wedding. Overall, it was a great experience and SO EASY!

  Amazing Coordination

  My original venue fell through and I contacted Otsego Resort about 3 months before my wedding date. Amanda was more than willing to help put together our wedding, despite have a few others that weekend! Planning the wedding with Amanda was more like working with a friend. She’s upfront about everything and helps in any way she can. Everything was absolutely perfect!

  Wonderful Experience

  Due to Covid restrictions we had to move our wedding and we’re advised to check out Otsego Resort. All around, it was a great experience. Amanda was our wedding planner and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. She made sure everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. Additional Covid restrictions caused more changes which added stress, but thanks to the competent and thorough Amanda, she handled those changes so we didn’t have to. For instance, she got us a windowed 3 sided tent for the necessary outdoor dance floor and bartender brought in disco ball and colored lights for added fun. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the grounds, beautiful. It is an older resort and is a rustic Bavarian style. Food was excellent and all staff was very friendly. All our wedding guests enjoyed Otsego Resort accommodations and food too. We would highly recommend Otsego Resort in Gaylord, MI.

  Hiring Ostego Grand Event Catering / Alpine for our reception, rehearsal and brunch one of the BEST decisions of the wedding. Patty made our wedding reception amazing, from the food to the rentals and overall level of service and care. The food was fantastic, and so we got constant compliments from guests. However, what set Patty apart was how flawless she made the overall wedding weekend. As the bride, I was able to feel relaxed and enjoy the event because she had such a good handle on everything; it was like having a second wedding coordinator. Patty didn't need to be told or directed to do the right thing - she sensed what needed to be done. During the event, she was able to strike the right balance between checking in on the important items yet leave us alone to enjoy the event. The rest of the staff / servers / bartenders were great as well.
  
  Something I want to emphasize is "what I wish I had known". When I was looking for a caterer, I was looking for quality of food and value. Very transparently, in the tasting process Ostego Grand Event / Alpine didn't stand out and in fact probably would not have been who we selected. We ultimately booked Ostego / Alpine because of word of mouth. Hiring Ostego Catering was one the BEST decisions of the wedding overall. When it came to our wedding weekend, Patty was 200% focused on our event, not just the day of the wedding but over the whole weekend. Looking back, this factor was the most important in our overall event. Also, I planned my wedding mostly virtually and mainly via e-mail. One concern I had going into the event was that Patty wasn't the most responsive via e-mail. Please don't take this as a negative - I later learned that this was likely because of her 200% focus on current clients /event (and phone and texts work great!)

  We worked with Trish & she was excellent. She was very attentive & helpful. When it came to the "big day" things went perfectly! The food was delicious & the service to our guests was fantastic. We could not have picked a better place to have our reception & rehearsal dinner!!! I would reccommend it to anyone.
