    Orlando Fringe Collaboration - Great!

The Orlando Fringe Festival partnered with the Orlando Museum of Art to host one of our fundraising events – Fab Fringe 2022. It was crucial for our sponsorship gathering that we have the optimal space to host a performance, serve dinner and drinks, and provide room for patrons to dance and wind down while supporting such an important cause – the Orlando Museum of Art delivered on all fronts. The SunTrust auditorium was perfect for our magician performance/mentalist show, and guests were able to interact and view the action with no obstacles. The meeting rooms were a delightful set-up for our catering menu, and guests could navigate from the tables to the bar with comfort. And, last but not least, the rotunda was the perfect party location for our DJ, additional performers, and reserved sponsor tables – everyone was free to dance and drink the night away! Orlando Fringe is incredibly pleased to have been able to work with the museum on this event, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.

Jonathan Von Villas is the Best!!

As beautiful as the museum is, part of what sold me is the guy who coordinated everything with me. In fact, I liked him so much I hired him as my wedding coordinator! He responds almost immediately and is very willing to help you with anything you need!

    Dream Wedding Location!

Having our wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art was an absolute dream! I wanted this video because my now husband is an artist, and I thought this would be the perfect venue for him. We toured the museum almost an entire year before our wedding day, and we knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding there! We didn't even look at any other venues after going to the museum. Jonathan, at the museum, is amazing! He put a hold on the museum for us that day, and gave us a little time to get the deposit in. He also played the role as our month of coordinator, and we could not be more thankful for him! Throughout the year of our planning process, he was always available to answer any questions we had, and walked us through the process every step of the way. As our coordinator he became the point of contact for all of our vendors, and as the wedding day approached I no longer heard from any of them, as everything was being handled directly through them and Jonathan. The night of our wedding Jonathan, and his team, handled everything! From set up, to decor, to seating our guests, to getting the wedding party organized, to moving things to the reception, he handled absolutely everything! I did not worry about a single thing the entire night, because Jonathan had handled it before I even had the chance to worry. The museum was even more beautiful that night than we had imagined. It served as the absolute best location for our wedding, and all night long our guests just raved about how beautiful it was and how it was such a perfect choice. I would absolutely do my whole night over again at the same place with the same team! Thank you so much to Jonathan, and the Orlando Museum of Art for making our wedding a dream come true!

    Wonderful experience

Our wedding reception experience at OMA was amazing!!!!! We LOVED working with Jonathan the Facility Rentals & Corporate Sales Manager at OMA. He was the face of OMA for us and what a wonderful impression we have been left with. He was so kind, friendly, flexible, generous, cooperative and much more! We could Not have asked for better attention to our needs while working with him. We would highly highly recommend having your event at OMA. Our pictures were so beautiful!!!! We’re so very grateful. Hats off to you OMA and Jonathan for helping to make our wedding day so memorable 🌹

We LOVED having our wedding at OMA. Arielle and the museum staff were great to work with. It was so important for us to NOT getting married or host a reception in a boring, rectangular ballroom. We wanted the space(s) to be unique and beautiful on their own. And OMA certainly delivered that! All locations are inside so you don't have to worry about inclement weather or terrible heat! One bar set up in the hallway services both the cocktail hour and ceremony room (which is super convenient). And the backdrops make for amazing pictures! It was such a classy, glamorous evening and it all started with the perfect venue! I would highly recommend this location to any couples searching for a wedding venue!

From the moment we pulled up to the brick lot with oak trees casting shadows upon us, the pieces of art work reaching towards the sky from the grass and the floor to ceiling front entrance windows, we knew before walking in this venue was our strongest candidate. Upon walking inside where we'd eventually have our reception we noticed the imported Italian marble floors (perfect for dance on) and where we would first me, Arielle - Facility Rentals & Group Sales Coordinator. Arielle was very professional with a personal touch to her. She was very tentative to our ideas and needs and remained in contact with us throughout the wedding process. Arielle was the type of person we were excited to see when we'd come to look at a feature or talk about the venue.

The wedding overall turned out extremely well with stunning art work and architecture throughout each gallery. Our family and friends could not stop raving on how beautiful, intimate and elegant the venue turned out. To top everything off, getting married in front of the Chihully statue was beautiful. A back drop work a million pictures and more, we definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for that perfect venue.

I'm glad I chose this venue for my wedding! As an art museum, the place did not need a lot of decorations. We only spent money on center pieces for each table along with uplighting and drapes to cover the gift shop at the rotunda. We had less than 100 guests requiring only 12 8 ft. tables that still had plenty of space for the dance floor! The museum also allowed the wedding party to take pictures in the exhibitions. Looking through pictures, wedding came out gorgeous! Arielle, the museum's coordinator was extremely helpful throughout the wedding process. Highly recommend.

I had my wedding here this past weekend and it was beautiful!! We rented the full museum and used several rooms for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was great because it was very hot outside and guests could stay indoors all night. If you are looking for an all indoor venue...this is a great place!

Our wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art was everything we dreamed and more. Arielle and Casey worked tirelessly with us down to every detail. The venue was gorgeous and our guests were in complete awe. OMA staff was fantastic and worked flawlessly with all of our vendors. Both our ceremony and reception took place in the Rotunda, which was flipped over during cocktail hour. This was perfect for us so our guests did not have to travel. The Rotunda was beautiful to begin with so adding simple touches quickly created elegance. Our 130 guests fit perfectly in the Rotunda and we used the ABC rooms for the buffet line. We even had space for a great dance floor. We loved the layout and our guests enjoyed everything in one location. We loved every part of it!

Coordinated a corporate holiday party here last month and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. The Christmas tree was up as well as the lanterns so it added to the already beautiful decor in the rotunda. We used the rotunda, gallery and some of the meeting spaces and it was simply breathtaking, the guests are still raving about it. Arielle was a breeze to work with, super helpful and very responsive. The venue also has complimentary onsite parking which is a huge plus for a downtown venue! Definitely looking forward to using the venue again and working with Arielle in the future.

When my Daughter found OMA for her wedding, we both were floored at the magnificence of the museum! Casey and Robyn were the best and worked with us every step of the way. If you want a fairly priced venue that's elegant and makes a statement OMA is your place:)

The Orlando Museum of Art hosted our recent wedding reception and far exceeded our expectations! The venue is beautiful and we continue to hear rave reviews from our guests about the uniqueness, quality and beauty of the space. The staff was terrific to work with; Casey was especially awesome with her promptness, ability to understand our needs/desires, professionalism and standard of service. We are SO thankful we chose OMA as our reception venue and will remember it fondly for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend this venue for it's value, central location and beauty.

I cannot begin to express how absolutely perfect in every way both my ceremony and reception was at OMART - and it was due all to my fabulous vendors. Casey Hall coordinated with me and the other vendors for every single detail, and she made herself available at all times to answer questions, review the floor plans, do several practice runs, etc. Casey made me feel like I was not just 'a' bride, but 'the' bride! The venue was unique, gorgeous, elegant, and easily fit our 160+ guests (many of which were last minute additions!). I cannot recommend this venue and vendor enough!

The only place we thought could represent our love on many levels for our wedding was the Orlando Museum of Art. Having our closest family and friends surround us along with the most beautiful art in the city was a special experience. Such a venue required special attention to details and customer service from Casey Hall, Event Manager at OMA. She was incredible with her level of communication, assistance, and willingness to go the extra mile to help support our special day... She even helped us have the first ever food truck event at OMA to complete such a unique wedding for all to remember! We could not be happier with OMA and Casey!

My now husband is the one who actually chose this venue and he could not have picked a more perfect place! The sculpture in the grand gallery and the high ceilings in the rotunda were the biggest selling points for us! It was a beautiful location with amazing marble floors, perfect for dancing! We had a large wedding and had to use the meeting rooms but it never felt separated it all felt like one space! There isn't need for many additional decorations thanks to the natural beauty of the museum. The staff was also incredible, a big thanks especially to Casey!

We choose the Orlando Museum of Art for my daughter's wedding reception and cocktail party. The venue is beautiful, there are many options for setup, the staff is professional, and it's a unique space. The sculpture and art are added bonus for the guests. I absolutely loved having our cocktail hour and reception at OMA. They give you pages of approved vendors to choose from, and also the option to bring in other vendors to be approved. The cocktail hour held in the chihuly area was beautiful and all my guests ranted and raved about the vibe and feel with all the art around. The reception was mainly held in the Rotunda, with our food and more cocktail tables in rooms A, B and C for more space. The high ceiling and the marble floors gave our reception the classy and elegant feel we were looking for! I couldn't have asked for a better venue for my reception.

The OMART operations team went above and beyond at our Women of AT&T SHIFT2020 Professional Development Conference on October 11th, 2014. It was such a pleasure to work with them at their beautiful venue and their team was a key player in our event’s success.

No matter what obstacle we came across during the planning stages we were able to overcome and worked together to deliver the best experience to our conference attendees. They made my job so much easier because they took care of all the venue details and their team catered to any special requests with grace and professionalism. Three people in particular: Casey, German, and Chris from the operations team we're so helpful. We made the right choice by choosing their venue for our event; the facilities were clean, the work and collections in the galleries are inspirational and the space really set the tone that we wanted for our event.

OMART was a great business partner and I look forward to doing more business with them in the near future.

We held our daughter's wedding reception at the MOA. We hosted 150 guests in the rotunda and meeting rooms A,B and C. The museum provided a beautiful backdrop for our caterer, light man and band/DJ. We began with cocktails around the Chuhuly and then dinner in the rotunda/meeting rooms. My only wish would have been that all guests could have fit in the rotunda but there wasn't room with the band and dance floor. However the meeting rooms were perfect for the elderly guests and those who wished to visit without talking over the band. We seated the young people around the band which was a great success. The museum really was perfect and helped us give our daughter and her new husband a night to remember. I would strongly recommend the MOA.

We could not have been happier with our wedding venue. My husband, Matt, and I looked at the Orlando Science Center, The History Center and the Museum of Art. Each had their pro's and con's but the Museum was our first choice! We worked with Alyssa Zambryckij, the Facility and Group Sales Coordinator. She was so helpful, kind and on the ball. She quickly responded to all of our emails and made us feel like we were her only event. The day of the wedding she assisted with all of our vendors and made sure Matt and I were comfortable with everything. She was a blessing that came with the museum. The black and white tile and contemporary decor made our wedding seem like a Manhattan cocktail party. We were married in front of the Chihuly sculpture. Alyssa suggested many ways to make an aisle that we could walk down which was a nice creative touch to our artistic ceremony. Our colors were black and white so the Chihuly really pops in our photos. After the ceremony our guests we allowed to wander through the galleries before the reception. It was a neat touch, and something different. For our reception we used two of the three meeting rooms for our food stations and one of our bars. This way the beautiful black and white floor could be used for dancing, tables, couches and ottomans. Our guests loved the lounge setting we were able to create in the space. I recommend draping the museum shop - we had uplighting that made an elegant backdrop for our sweetheart and cake table. The only thing that may be a negative to some is that the museum does not allow red wine to be served due to the potential stains. This was by no means a deal breaker for us - plenty other alcoholic beverages exist. We loved our venue and could not have been happier with one of the classiest and most unique spots in Orlando.

Orlando Museum of Art was a perfect place to get married. It was beautiful! Our guests were blown away!
Alyssa was easy to work with, very professional, and accommodating. When vendors had questions about the venue, she was able to talk directly with them rather than going back and forth through me. I was very happy with everything!
The only issue I had was that I really wanted to do sparklers outside as a grand exit, but they are not allowed due to an Orlando city ordinance (not a museum policy). I just wished that it would have been written somewhere in their rental packet so I could have known before I special ordered $175 worth of sparklers and matches.

Thank you Mary and staff for helping us have the wedding of our dreams! The museum is so beautiful-the perfect setting for a unique reception. Our guests enjoyed being able to see the gorgeous art while mixing and mingling during the cocktail hour. The Chiluly piece is stunning and fascinated everyone. The Rotunda was perfect for the reception-it felt very upscale and was not your typical ballroom. There are a couple of restrictions (no red wine), but they shouldn't be a concern. Everyone was very helpful and worked well with our other vendors. If you want a unique venue with a great staff, OMA is the place to go!!

We truly loved having our reception at the OMA. Both my husband and I have creative backgrounds, so it couldn't have been more perfect for us. Our guests loved being able to check out the gallery during our cocktail hour. Mary the facility rental coordinator was super nice to work with, quick to respond, and was very flexible with taking credit card payments over the phone for convenience. I wanted to give 5 stars for everything, the only reason I didn't on flexibility was just for a couple of things that we didn't know till later in our planning, that we could not change: The facility does not allow red wine, which was a bit of a bummer but not the end of the world. Also, we didn't find out till the day of that they do not allow you to use sparklers outside for the farewell, so we wasted our money on all the sparklers that we bought. But really, other than that- we are so happy that we could have our reception at the OMA. SUCH A GREAT VENUE!!

We are so happy that we chose the Museum as our reception venue. Arielle helped us determine the layouts best suited for the modern space of the reception rooms, and was so helpful when we went with a few outside vendors. The museum provided so much more than we could have asked for. Our guests were blown away by the gorgeous marble reception room, the amazing galleries full of art for cocktail hour, and the perfect downtown location. Thank you so much for everything!

Beautiful venue for a reception. Alyssa and her team were very easy to work with, and they collaborated well with our vendors - Levan's catering, Michael Ruiz photography, Elegant Entertainment and Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals.

    Beautiful venue

The museum was a beautiful venue for my wedding reception! The in-house coordinator (Jonathan) was always extremely helpful. We provided gallery access for our guests which they were able to enjoy throughout the night. Keep in mind that there are restrictions on having red wine there due to the marble tiles, but that wasn't a problem for us.

    Orlando Art Museum

On Sept 28,2019 I married my husband in a wonderful ceremony at Orlando Art Museum. It was amazing experiences. We decided to rent out the whole museum. So our guest would have access to Art on display. During the cocktail and reception time. The venue itself just behind beautiful. We got married in front of the Chihuly Exhibit in the main gallery. Our reception was held in the main entrance of the museum. Everything turned out so perfect. We don't have to really decorate the gallery because of the Art on the wall. So we were able to spend a lot more time and effort on the reception. Johnathan who oversees the museum was our coordinator for month and the day of the wedding. Johnathan was absolutely amazing. He always respond to my emails and calls about the wedding even before we officially chosen Orlando Art Museum as our venue. He made sure everything run smoothly. That the bride and groom don't have worry about anything the day of the wedding. All the vendors we choose for the wedding were highly recommend by the Orlando Art Museum. The vendors all worked together in the past. So they were aware of each and each other work. Orlando Art Museum is one of the best venues in Orlando. It's very classic, modern and artistic for those couples that are looking for that style for their wedding. It definitely exceed my expectations for my wedding. Thank you Orlando Art Museum for wonderful a day and memories.

The venue was absolutely beautiful. Having the gallery for the ceremony was wonderful Allyssia, who was our contact person, was responsive to everything that we needed. The venue seemed a bit pricey, but to me it was worth it. You will have to pay to get chair covers or rent chairs as the chairs there are not that nice. There are certain things that they can not be flexible with since it is a museum. For one thing , not red wine can be served. In spite of that I am really glad that I had the wedding there. It was beautiful.

After much thought of where we wanted our wedding to take place we decided that we DIDN'T want it in a hotel banquet room with 4 bland walls and paisley carpet (we do live in tourist central)- so that led us to search out other venues, and I came across the Orlando Museum of Art. At first visit I wasn't sure all 175 guests would fit, so the coordinator that I was speaking with told us to come back that next week where there was going to be another venue (A Bar Mitzvah) was taking place. So we did, and when I saw what the Museum could be turned into- I was BLOWN AWAY!! It was gorgeous! The table on the wonderful marble created such as great contrast. We had our ceremony in the rotunda where the chihuly is and the seating semi-circled around us in front of the magnificient sculpture. The coordinator was there through the wedding and reception and led us through every step and was extremly helpful. The tall ceilings, openness, and wonderful artwork was a world of difference compared to the bland 4 walls of any hotel banquet room!

Orlando Museum of Art is a BEAUTIFUL place for a wedding. It was so classy and with the right uplighting in the rotunda, it becomes classy + romantic. Our guests truly enjoyed the space and we are sooo happy with our decision to have our wedding reception there. We mainly worked with Arielle and she was wonderful in helping us organize some important documents and she was quick to respond to emails. The reason we give it 4/5 stars is because museums in general will have more strict policies which we agree is fair but sometimes you don't think about it when booking until later, such as no red wine, requiring wedding insurance, no sparklers or bubbles, etc. However, we do not regret having our wedding reception here and would do it all over again just to be in the moment again, celebrating with our family at a beautiful venue. :)

Great if you can be creative, but because of the nature of the venue there are a lot of restrictions on what you can do.
But as long as you can work around them, the venue is unique and the rotunda made for a great social area.

The Museum is a gorgeous place to have a ceremony and reception. It would have been great to have more hands on help from the coordinator there, but it was still a lovely experience.

We held our ceremony and reception at the Museum. It was a beautiful venue, and everyone really enjoyed it.
A few weeks prior to my wedding the coordinator left, and the hand over to the new coordinator wasn't the best. When we came in to do the rehearsal the day before there was a bit of confusion with the security guards, and they made both of our families believe that they could not take any pictures during our ceremony. Later that evening the coordinator called my wedding planner to apologize for the treatment from the security guards, which I appreciated.
I did feel that the cost was a bit high, especially since our other vendors took care of setting everything up.
Overall it was a lovely venue, which I would recommend to someone looking for a spot that is a bit different, and not your typical ballroom setting. One piece of advice if your hosting an event at the Museum, if you can afford it have someone do entertainment lighting for you. One of my friends did it for us, and I think that the rotunda area would have been very bland, and it would've been a completely different party without it.

Overall, we were pleased with the Museum of Art as place for the ceremony and reception. We booked over a year in advance of the wedding. The museum was to provide chairs, but then sold them prior to our date, causing us to rent 110 chairs from a different vendor. Because it wasn't specified "exactly" which chairs the museum was to supply, they refused any refund (make sure you get contract details exactly). I felt once we had a wedding planner on board, they weren't as friendly.

There was much chaos during breakdown after the reception. It's best to give yourself plenty of time. We had nearly 2 dozen candles broken due to not being packaged carefully. We found the hand binding cord in a pile of trash on the floor.

Even with these items, the venue itself was remarkable. The wedding was beautiful and the reception everything the couple dreamed of. We rented the entire museum hoping the guests would wander through, but only a handful of the 100 guests went through.
