I loved having our cake and grooms cake from Opulent Cakes. I wanted an elegant cake with floral which they worked with my flower vendor Joche to match/use the same floral day of, and the grooms cake was out of this world. We had a custom Gundam (think Japanese autobots) head that lit up as the grooms cake that everyone enjoyed seeing. The cake itself tasted awesome and I will 100% go back for any special event cakes I need!

Opulant cakes came through in spades. We picked them the same day as my wife picked her bridal salon. I met them in Arlington, Texas at an wedding fair. Most of the fair was average but they stood out. The cake they served was a white chocolate raspberry conglomeration that was delicious. A white cake, with white chocolate frosting a raspberry puree and grenache. It was delicious. My future wife couldn't be there as she was shopping dresses with my mother and niece so they packed up some cake to go and sent it off with me. We knew we had a winner and when we met with them they continued to impress by offering us a variety of options and then working with us when we chose the same cake we had tried earlier. It was a gorgeous cake, and to my brides gleee they had edible glitter all over the cake. They even worked with our florist to assemble flowers on the cake for the finishing touch. We don't even have to save the topper as they will make us a fresh topper on our 1 year anniversary for free. Marvelous cake, marvelous people which made our occasion all the more special.

Yum, yum, yum!! Opulent made the best cake ever for our wedding!! White Chocolate Raspberry is the best! They let you taste the cakes, and they do the most beautiful cakes!! Definitely recommending Opulent Cakes!

The cake was perfect! I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they made the cake exactly like I had asked. Definitely would recommend Opulent Cakes for a wedding or just a party!

I loved talking with the baker about what flavors they can make for my cake. I am so excited to have my cake. I sampled the cake at the dallas bridal show and after two wonderful tasting I knew they were for me.

This cake is DELICIOUS! The people that work here are kind and can really make your vision come to life. They are very detail oriented and make sure they know exactly what you want for your big day. They will touch base with you throughout your planning process to make sure you want your design to stay the same. Both of our cakes turned out beautiful and everyone loved how they tasted! I had the white chocolate cake with raspberry filling and my husband had the malted chocolate.

This cake is so good. It doesn't matter if you go with these people or not. Go to them just for the cake tasting alone. It is so good, ask for all the flavors. My cake was an amaretto and then another cake later was a chocolate Kahlua. My husband's cake was a white cake with raspberry filing. He was able to have a free standing 3D model of R2D2. They have sparkling frosting. My husband requested to have the sparkling frosting on his R2D2 so it looks like a metallic finish. I wanted a "Edible arrangements" type of design. They were able to cut fruit and displayed them as flowers.

MoST MoiSt decadent CAKE ever :) We had a winter wonderland theme. Opulent made a gorgeous wintery snowflake pearlized cake. Everyone talked about the cake for weeks. GREATEST CHOICE we made and such a wonderful team to work with at Opulent. :) Would recommend to anyone getting married.

There were two things that I knew I had to have without looking at any other vendors. The venue and the cake! We met Opulent Cakes at an event at Noah's Event center and fell in LOVE with it. We have the white chocolate and raspberry two tier cake for the wedding cake along with a couple dozen cupcakes in three different flavors and a chocolate cake with chocolate dipped strawberries for the groom's cake. It was DELICIOUS! The cake is so moist and delicious the decorations (which included real flowers) were beautiful. My favorite was the edible glitter that gave the cake a pearly sheen and the edible pearls that were all around the cake. I had to fight people off to make sure I was able to save a little piece for the anniversary. I will definitely be working with this company again for future events and would recommend them to anyone! The prices were great Less than $500 for everything and it was enough for 60+ people.

I tried several cakes at bridal shows, and Opulent Cakes was always above and beyond the best. When my fiance and I went to the cake tasting, he was sold too. We were able to get delicious flavors and a beautiful cake. Everyone enjoyed the cake, and we got tons of compliments on the flavor and the beauty of the cake. They also will bake us another top tier on our one year anniversary, which I think is really sweet. So glad we chose Opulent Cakes!

Opulant Cakes is the best cake that I have ever tasted. When me and my fiancé went for a cake tasting, the flavors and quality of the cake stopped us in our tracks. We knew right then that we wanted them to make our cakes. Not only were they both delicious but we were able to sit down and design what we wanting. To give them the idea what I wanted for my cake and to watch them draw it in front of me was the best experience. Both of our cakes were beautiful and we still have guest talking about our cakes 3 months later! Opulant cakes is the way to go!

I really enjoyed my cake my guests loved it as well my only complaint wasn't a big one but the sash didn't quite match my royal blue that I was looking for. Other than that small issue it was a pleasure working with Greg he took really great care of me and my husband and made my cake idea a reality !!! I would definitely recommend them to any and everyone, not just for wedding cakes but for all pastry needs. Thank you Opulent Cakes :)

Cake was amazing. We had both the bride and grooms cake done here and couldn't have been any better. Our guests loved both and they were both amazing. We had the grooms cake as a football field with TCU and OU on it and they went above and beyond in its design. Simply amazing and was the hit of the wedding.

We had a three tier cake for our wedding reception from Opulent Cakes and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious!!! Opulent Cakes did a wonderful job understanding what we wanted for our cake and we were thrilled when we saw the final product on the day of our wedding reception. Opulent Cakes did the cake for our wedding. It was beautifully jeweled, and very delicious. The grooms cake was scrumptious as well, covered with chocolate and strawberries. Totally exceeded our expectations!!

I loved Donna and the staff at Opulent from the moment we did our tastings! She presents full cake slices for the tasting, which is so much better than the dry little squares we got other places!

She worked with me on the design of the cake, and the flavor options are amazing! I also love that she doesn't charge more for "upgraded" cake fillings, everything is the same price. We also did a fresh anniversary tier, so we didn't have to pay for more cake than was eaten at the wedding.

Several guests commented that this was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten, and I completely agree!!

They were able to take a picture of a cake I loved and make it for me. The groom's cake was awesome also. We provided a trackho and they were able to make a construction scene for him.

Cake was DELICIOUS, and absolutely stunning! Ive read reviews of people not being able to get a hold of them(i didnt experience this) , but my advice is, if you are able to just show up at the shop, like I did, you will recieve great service!

Both my husband and I aren't huge fans of cake, but we know that cake is super important to our guests. While some people enjoy the cake selection process, neither of us were really looking forward to it. Opulent Cakes came through for us and made the process super easy. We only had to meet with them once in person for less than an hour and they captured our vision perfectly. We brought a friend that loves cakes to the tasting and it turns out, the cake was a huge hit at our wedding. Opulent also worked closely with our florist (next door - Signature Productions) to include some of our flowers on the cake. I still haven't had a slice of cake yet, but I can tell you that the pictures turned out great!

I had one cake place fall through for me. So i just walked right in to the bakery unannounced and they set me up with a full appointment then and there. they had no problem with booking me even though it was two weeks before my wedding. The cakes were so yummy that a friend loved my wedding cake so much that she had them bake the same flavor cake for her son's birthday. they treated me as a person and not as just another costumer.

Most moist and tastiest cake we or our guest have ever had. People were stealing cake from one another! We had so much going on at our wedding that made it spectacular, a magician and an a Capella group, yet the cake was one of the most talked about elements. When we went in for a consolation, we had several pictures that we wanted merged together, more a way to show the overall feel of what we wanted. Even though we did not have a clear idea of exactly what we wanted, Opulent cakes delivered it! It was beautifully decorated very ornately at a VERY reasonable price! But the taste, oh the taste, reins supreme! We recommend the pina colada flavor and even guests who don't like pineapple loved it, very understated and light.

Our cakes were absolutely amazing. They were not only beautiful but they were so tasty! We had more than a few of our guest comment on how awesome tasting our cakes were! They were so good that when our wedding party got back to the hotel that night they got out the left over brides and grooms cake and ate almost all ( except our cake top that was in a separate box) of the left over cake. Seriously my brides cake was so beautiful and the grooms cake was perfect too. I would recommend them to any and everyone for any occasion !

I had my cakes done for my wedding 7 years ago and people are STILL talking about how delicious they were. I ordered mine back when they were Taste of Europe (now Opulent Cakes) but the staff and the recipes are the same. I recommend them 100%!!!

We loved our cake! It was beautiful, and very well made. They even decorated it perfectly with the roses I provided. It was white chocolate rasberry and it went fantastic with our Valentine wedding. Thank you very much everyone complemented it!

We had a very simple wedding cake and it was DELICIOUS & beautiful! I took in a picture of what I wanted and Opulent cakes made it mine! Everyone loved the cake, it was so moist and flavorful. We had the white chocolate raspberry for the main layer and I'm still eating and loving each bite 3 days later.

I would highly recommend booking Opulent Cakes for your wedding! We ordered our wedding cake and groom's cake from OC and received so many rave reviews at the wedding from even our toughest cake critics. There are 3 interior layers of frosting, so it is incredibly moist without being too sweet or overwhelming. Our wedding cake was the white chocolate with 2 layers of white chocolate filling and the 1 middle layer of raspberry filling (called their "show cake") and the groom's was the chocolate Kahlua cake - both were above and beyond our expectations. After our initial tasting, we had random cravings and were so looking forward to our cakes - OC definitely delivered!

I cannot count the number of people who complimented our cakes. They were beautiful and tasted even better. They were delivered on time, set up and put together perfectly. The taste is amazing. I crave the white chocolate raspberry cake, I cannot wait to until my one year anniversary to eat our topper! They are also affordable, compared to other places we contacted.

Donna, owner of Opulent Cakes, used all her talent in helping us design one of the most unique and beautiful wedding cakes I have ever seen. She is a true artist. Not only are her creations breath-taking, but delicious as well. We did cake tastings at 3 different places, and Opulent Cakes was by far and large the best.

Opulent cakes exceeded our expectations! We ordered a four tier white chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse that was to die for! We knew right away after our first tasting that they were the one for us! We recieved so many compliments from our guests! We were eating leftovers for two weeks after the wedding, and the cake stayed moist and delicious the whole time! Our cake was made to look like lace with 2 fondant bows, brushed with a pearlescent dust. The design of the cake was gorgeous and we could not have been more pleased! It looked exactly like the picture from a magazine that I brought in to copy! Prices were very reasonable and overall we were very happy with our decision to use Opulent Cakes!

Opulent Cakes did an excellent job on my cake. All the guest truly enjoyed the white chocolate and starwberry cake. We took the left over cake home and tasted great for several days. I plan to keep using them for several other occasions. The staff is friendly and always smiling.

I received a referral from my wedding planner, Krystal Powell, for my wedding cake. Although I was skeptical driving up (curb appeal was not impressive at all), the inside was amazing. The cake tasted fantastic at the tasting session, and they had no problem adjusting my design to fit my needs and budget. I was happy with the result, and they were easy to work with for the most part (limited hours, but they include weekends). Being able to pay by phone was also a huge time saver. I would highly recommend Oppulent Cakes.

Opulent cakes did an incredible job with both of our cakes! They were exactly like we pictured them to be! They were also delicious and moist! We decided to get different flavors for each layer of our cake so we ended up with 5 different flavor combinations from our 2 cakes. I'm sure we could have found a better price, but they were pretty competitive. The biggest selling point for us was the free delivery because our wedding venue was across the street. It was really nice because we didnt have to worry about our cake falling on the drive to the venue!

my cake turned out beautiful! it was just shaped a little different that i was expecting, but it was still beautiful! we rented a chocolate fountian from there also and it was so much fun!

Donna was great. The cake would melt in your mouth. Each and every layer was different and the guest were talking about how great it tasted. I saw some of the guest sharing with others so they could try the other tiers. It was great seeing people enjoying the cake. We showed her a picture that we found in a magazine and told her what we wanted to change it to make it our own, all the while she said no problem. The only thing we we were disappointed about was the flowers were suppose to have navy centers, and the the cake was suppose to be cotton candy pink and it was more of a white pink. That really wasn't her fault I should have brought her a piece of fabric so she could have seen exactly what I wanted. I would suggest that if you really want a color cake take her a piece of fabric to her and she will make it happen. She is wonderful I would recommend her to anyone. I knew after meeting her everything would be great. I spoke to four other cake people before choosing her. Hands down she was the one, no need to look anywhere else. She made us feel as if we were the only cake she had to make and we had nothing to worry about. In addition to our cake she made us a small fake top layer cake so we will never forget what our beautiful cake looked like. Thank you again Donna your the best and made our day very special.

The cakes at my wedding were amazing. Every one of my wedding guests that I have talked to have mentioned how wonderful the cakes were. My grooms cake was suppose to be chocolate peanut butter but you couldn't really taste the peanut butter at the reception (you could definately taste it when we did our initial cake tasting). The bakery confirmed there was peanut butter in the cake but have made me whole by offering a store credit. I will definately get cakes from them again.

Opulent Cakes made an excellent bridal cake for my wedding reception. The cake was moist with three layers of filling. The decoration was nicely done. She was flexible with any changes in servings prior to the actual date of the reception. Her prices very comparable to others after she gave a discount.
She filled out the apprpriate paperwork and delivered the cake without issues

Opulent cakes provides such amazing value and great tasting cakes! They were able to provide so much more than I thought I would get for my budget, and it was beautiful! People raved about the grooms cake, and the brides was amazing, too! Donna was great about our last minute addition of 30 additional slices. They were fantastic! My only complaint is their hours are kind of sporadic so you have to make time to visit.

In the late 90's a co-worker of mine got married & oddly enough, I remembered how great her cake was, a moist white cake with a hint of orange and some sort of liquor. 15 years later when I got engaged I asked her if she remembered her cake vendor & she did… A Taste of Europe. I was so excited but then quickly disappointed to find they closed their doors. I notified her of my findings and she sent me a link to Opulent Cakes with the write up of Donna acquiring A Taste of Europe & all their recipes, along with her years of apprenticeship and service with Gisela.

My fiancé & I did a few cake tastings before we found Opulent Cakes and was immediately impressed by Opulent Cake taste compared to others…. not too sweet, good texture, and excellent taste. We really enjoyed the White Chocolate Raspberry filling but we decided on the Orange Grand Marnier (the flavor I remembered from years ago).

So you know the recipe is good if it left enough of an impression after 15 years to select for my own wedding!

They were a little slow to responding at times, but very easy going about returning the cake stand - had 2 weeks, which gave us time to return if after the honeymoon, (most wedding vendors for other products want their stuff the next day so you have to assign someone to drop it off which can be a pain)

I will admit I didn't remember the cake being quite as good wedding night as the tasting, maybe I was too consumed by all the events going on for the night. But I will soon find out as our friends will be using Opulent Cakes for their wedding coming up in March, can I say we are soooo looking forward to eating the cake!!! : )

Opulentcakes did an amazing job with my wedding cakes. I have one huge bridal cake with 5 extra thick layers and a grooms cake with 4 layers. I literally called and made an appointment to do a tasting mid week, that same Saturday we went to meet the owner who sat down with us and allowed me to share my vision for the cakes and to share pictures of exactly what i wanted. To my surprise she allowed my parents, brother, sister and fiancee to sit in on the tasting and enjoy all the huge slices of deliciousness! Every cake was tasty, it was so hard to make a decision, we finally decided the brides cake will be the white chocolate cake with raspberry filling and the grooms cake was the kalhua chocolate.
I gave Barb a whole list of details that i wanted in the cake presentation and design and the day of the wedding i was completely elated! Every detail of both of the cakes was exactly as i had requested. In fact, they looked even better than in the magazine pictures that i had shared with her in the beginning. She is amazing!!!!! Not only that but her price was shocking! I expected to pay at least $1000 just for the brides cake, but the final cost for both cakes together was only $800! Keep in mind, they were both HUGE cakes! I LOVE THIS BAKERY, and we wanted to go back on our one year anniversary and get a cake topper because the cake was so good, when we came back from our honeymoon my parents confessed that they ate it :( FAIL! So we tried contacting then to just order a small cake made the same way as our bridal cake and they never called us back. Unfortunately our first anniversary just passed and we never heard back from them but for our wedding, the overall experience, taste and presentation was AMAZING!! I would recommend this bakery to everyone who wants an awesome cake.

We ordered our cupcakes through Opulent Cakes and they were delicious! I was sad they didn't have gliiter like we originally ordered and the logo on our grooms cake was off center but other than that we were happy with them.

Our wedding cakes tasted amazing and looked fabulous. We had each layer with a different flavor and even though I didn't get to try them all I heard they were delicious. My only real complaint was getting a hold of Donna and her responsiveness. We called and left multiple messages and even sent emails with no response. Everything else was great besides that.

We got our wedding cake from Opulent Cakes and it was beautiful and delicious. Many of our guests wanted to know where our cake came from they liked it so much. We liked all of the flavors we tried at our tasting so it was hard to decide, but we ended up going with the Showcake and the Pina Colada. The cake was decorated beautifully although the scrolling was a bit different than what I wanted. I still loved it though and we got tons of compliments on it. I would definitely recommend Opulent Cakes and will likely order from there again for other occasions.

Both the Bride's and Groom's cake looked and tasted wonderful! Only complaint was lack of communication. My groom wanted a Yeti cooler with Coors Light inside. Cake looked great; however, when it was brought to the venue, the beer was Bud Light. Thankfully, my venue was able to substitute the Bud for Coors (and luckily I was at the venue prior to the wedding to notice the mistake). Probably not a huge deal to most-- but just showed me that proper notes were not taken during our consultation. Otherwise, great cakes!

Opulent Cakes did a good job with our wedding cakes (bride & groom). We chose their Pina Colada flavor for the bride's cake and traditional chocolate cake for the groom. Our guests raved about how tasty our cakes were. I had a specific cake design in mind and they were able to replicate the cake...not 100% but close enough and I was pleased. During the planning process, we really didn't hear much for them after we put down our deposit. Although the staff was friendly and kind, they appeared to be a little dis-organized when I had to remind them the time and date of our appointment twice. They also did not know what was still needed from us when we arrived for our appointment. They were not responsive to emails. You had to call and leave a message. Someone then will call you back. This was okay because at the end, everything worked out fine and we were happy and pleased with our cakes.

My wedding cake looked great and it tasted just the same. I have to say that aside from 3 leches cake this has been one of my favorite cakes I have ever had. When it comes to cakes I am the first one to try them.. Opulant Cakes has a touch for the taste. My cake was a Raspberry White Chocolate and it was amazing! The best cake ever super fresh.

My fiance and I were very impressed with the quality of the cakes - the taste was wonderful, the delivery was timely, our consultation visit was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the cakes did not LOOK like what we'd wanted. We provided a "mock up" of what we wanted - made a model out of styrofoam forms and paper flowers - so that the baker would know precisely how we wanted the flowers arranged on the bridal cake. Sadly, the model was of little use. Also, my fiance provided multiple images of what he wanted his cake to look like - it was supposed to be a "Death Star" from Star Wars. He was very disappointed in the results.

We purchased both our bride's cake and our groom's cake from Opulent Cakes. Their cakes are delicious and they're able to custom design anything you'd like for a good price. My only concern is they are very difficult to get ahold of. I would call and not get a returned call for weeks. If you try them out and fall in love with their cakes, keep in my you'll need to be a patient bride when it comes to communication!

Opulent Cakes did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. Everything we expected in our cake was delivered the day of our wedding. However, if you're looking for great customer service, you may want to look elsewhere. At our initial consultation, we were told we could order a fresh anniversary cake on our first anniversary for $20. A week prior to our first anniversary on 5/16, I emailed Opulent cakes inquiring about ordering an anniversary cake. I basically wanted to know how far in advance did I need to place an order. Someone responded to my email advising me that my paperwork was noted that I needed to call in two weeks prior to our anniversary to order the cake and it would be a simple cake in the same flavor as my wedding cake. However, I did not see this noted on my paperwork. But because my anniversary was only a week away, they advised the earliest they could have a simple cake ready was Saturday 5/28 IF I called the bakery that same day to place the order. I didn't call two weeks in advance as I supposedly should have, so ok 5/28 was fine. So I called the bakery shortly thereafter only to reach the voicemail. I left a message and asked for a return call and briefly noted who I was. I then sent an email back advising that I had just attempted to call and left a voicemail. I waited a little while and attempted to call again only to reach voicemail again and leave a message. Still no call back. Eventually time passed with no call back or email and the shop closing for the day. Needless to say, I didn't get a fresh anniversary cake. And even though we carefully wrapped and stored away our top wedding tier, when we pulled out our cake yesterday, it was a combination of hard, soft and mushy with extremely sweet icing much sweeter than it was the day of the wedding. While our wedding cake was wonderful, customer service is everything to me. And frankly, this company did not seem too interested in pleasing their customer and trying to make them a repeat customer in

They delivered my cakes hours early and they had to sit on a counter because they were too large for the fridge. The cakes did not measure up to the quality that was promised, and the flavor was lacking from what we had tasted in the initial consultation. Overall very unhappy with the service, flexibility and the value.

We got our wedding cake and our chocolate fountain through Opulent Cakes. Our wedding cake was very pretty and tasted REALLY good. But our chocolate fountain was supposed to be white chocolate because my husband and I don't really like regular chocolate. That was the ONLY thing that my husband wanted in lieu of a groom's cake and it was wrong. We never even walked over the the chocolate fountain once at our wedding. We were very disappointed by this so I emailed Opulent Cakes about possibly getting some of our money back, but I never heard back from them. I have called several times and can't get anyone to return my calls about this. I was waiting to do this review, hoping that I would hear back from them but it appears that they do not want to make this right. Be cautious if you choose to use them.

I recently used Opulent Cakes for my wedding cake and groom's cake for my wedding at Piazza in the Village. We chose this bakery based on the fact that it's right across the street from Piazza, it had good reviews, and their demo cakes looked great. Our tasting appointment went very well and we loved the cakes we sampled, and they were able to design the cakes we wanted. I had a 5-tier cake to serve 175 people. It was a fairly simple cake with no floral decor. It had a ribbon and bow of silver fondant around the second layer up from the bottom, and an antique brooch placed in the center of the bow. While I was taking photographs outside of the chapel before the ceremony, I saw the bakery employees transporting my cake to Piazza. Two employees were pushing it on a very wobbly cart across the asphalt ground, while chatting with each other and paying no attention to my shaky wedding cake. My photographer took a few photographs of it soon after it arrived, and it looked great. However, by the time the reception started it had already fallen apart and looked terrible. I noticed that the bow was in pieces and looked as though it was sliding down the cake and breaking apart. Of course I was angry about this, but it was my wedding day so I looked past it. When the night was over, I found out from my family and wedding coordinator that the fondant bow had completely fallen off of the cake while it was sitting on the table before the reception started. Staff members from Piazza tried to put it back on as best they could, but it did not look perfect by any means. Luckily the photographer captured a few pictures of it before this happened, because in all of the photos of my husband and I with the cakes, it looks absolutely horrible. It was embarrassing. I am very upset that this happened and I regret my choice in bakery. When you pay $1000 for a cake, you expect it to at least look decent until guests see it and photos are captured with it.

We picked Opulent cakes to do our wedding cake in Oct of 08. We loved our tasting with her, and she seemed ready and willing to complete the cake as we asked. We did not make a final decision that day but called her later in the week to tell her what we wanted for the cake (after trying to reach her a couple of days) At our wedding reception... my mom had to pull me aside before we walked in to tell me that the flowers we had ordered (and paid for) put on the cake were not there. She told me the cake was still beautiful just not what we had expected. When we cut into the cake we realized that there were not 2 different layer flavors like we had requested. Again... the cake still looked beautiful and the cake that was there tasted very good. I would still have given Donna a good review...except... After the wedding my mother contacted Donna to get a refund for the amount of money we paid extra to have flowers put on the cake. Donna said that she would get a check in the mail. My mother waited... and waited... and waited and still no check. Donna would not return her phone calls. My mother could not go to the bakery because she lives out of state. It was not until I called the bakery stating that I would be there the next Saturday to pick up the check that we finally got a response. I received a call the next morning with a message... not from Donna, but from someone else...stating that the check was put in the mail. It is a shame because we had really liked Donna and we liked her cakes but her lack of professionalism after the wedding makes me want to warn others! Just be wary that you may not get what you want!

I ordered a two tier cake for my daugther's birthday. I went to pick the cake up two hours before her party. The bakery lost my order, even though I had paid a 50% down payment FOUR WEEKS before the party. I was given the deposit back and was told I would receive a voucher for a $150 credit to the store. I never received the voucher. My other daughter is getting married soon. I don't know what I would have done if this was her wedding cake. Luckily, I ran across the street to Market Street. The bakery manager felt so sorry for me, he gave me the a replacement cake for free. Their cake was better than the samples we tasted at the wedding shows!
