Seamless and beautiful

Rob was easy to work with and did a beautiful job with my flowers, bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets. I chose hydrangeas, roses for the centerpieces they were full and gorgeous!! I wasn’t sure of the vase but they supplied the most gorgeous glass looking stand and it looked like it had diamonds inside. My bouquet was white roses and was so full and gorgeous. Rachael was very easy to talk to and accommodating. I highly recommend them. They are talented and down to earth. They will do their best to work with your budget. Thanks Rob and Rachael!

Exceptional service

One Up Event met by expectations from the beginning. They are very flexible. When my birthday was postponed they responded quickly without any issues. On August 29th, they represented extremely well!! My center pieces stood out!! I was thoroughly impressed!!!

Gorgeous Flowers, decor and ambiance. Rob is extremely talented!!

Thank you so much Rob for making our day extremely beautiful with your talented work. When My husband and I first met Rob we already had a great feeling. He is very easy to work with, talented and is very flexible and accommodating. Walking into our consultation I had a lot of ideas running through my head and he was able to pull off my inspo and ideas and make it reality. We went with a Gatsby/ old Hollywood theme / emerald art deco look and he KILLED IT!!! Our centerpieces were palm leaves and whites , same with bouquets. Our sweetheart table was stunning, we had a high bridge with candelabras along the front, omg my jaw dropped. We also had 4 kings tables with mini bridges on gold stands and all I can say is wow they really added to our room. We also had red roses for the entry way and it just added such a nice touch, also our cake was so beautiful. Overall so happy with his service, he created examples way far in advance, was in communication throughout the year and easily adjusted anything. He was able to give us ideas and honest, professional advice. We also had a venue switch and without any stress or hesitation he was able to change the plan and it was awesome. Delivery was prompt and on time and everyone absolutely loved the flowers. So many compliments were given in this area. Thank you so much Rob for everything, your patience and for making our day amazing!! We appreciate it so much! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Easy, Beautiful, and Smooth Experience .

Rob is wonderful. We have him booked for our postponed wedding in April. From the beginning he was very reasonable. We decided to get married and in 4 days he made me a beautiful bouquet on short notice. I sent him a picture and he spray painted gold to match exactly what I wanted. I can’t wait to see all of the beautiful flowers in April if this one bouquet was stunning! One Up Event Design has my highest Recommendation!

Great Experience!

We had such a great experience working with Rob! We had to shift our wedding date due to COVID and Rob was flexible and super helpful. My centerpieces and my bouquet were stunning! He listened to what I wanted and was able to make my vision into a reality. I would definitely recommend!!

Amazing Flower for my Winter Wonderland Wedding

I cannot say enough amazing things about Rob and the entire One Up team. I have worked with Rob many times before and have always been amazed by not only his breathtaking work, but great customer service, and incomparable creativity. It was a no brainer that I was going to use One Up for my wedding, and I am so glad I did, they were one of the easiest and best parts of the entire wedding process! Rob went above and beyond in every aspect! I came to Rob with a vision and he completely made it come to life. I was just married on December 27, 2019 and 2 weeks before my wedding, I ran into an issue with my florist and needed to find another. One Up came recommended and was absolutely amazing. Rob took the time to go thru all the flowers I originally wanted and enhanced them. They set up the church and my venue so I did not have do myself or supervise. I received so many compliments on my flowers and set up. I could not thank Rob and his staff enough for taking me on such short notice and doing an amazing job. Thank you to you all!!!

From the first meeting until the last meeting One up event design made me feel like my wedding was as important as a celebrity wedding. Great florist

Great florist! Rob was easy to work, took the time to understand our vision for the reception day (my color scheme, etc), and most of all willing to work with our budget! We visited a few other florists and Rob's prices for what you get (pedestal centerpieces, bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, flowers on cake) were great. Him and his team were also kind enough to add rose petals to some of our DIY centerpieces.

We had our wedding May 28, 2018. Rob and his team did an amazing job. I had a tight budget and he worked with me every step of the way to make sure I got everything I wanted. From the moment we decided to work with OneUp, Rob made various samples to ensure we found the right one for the big day! Robert did a phenomenal job for our wedding. From the consultation, to viewing the sample pieces, and then to the final pieces on the day of, everything was just amazing. My bridal bouquet was stunning.. maybe I am being partial, but I truly thought it was the most beautiful bride's bouquet I had ever seen. Our centerpieces were gorgeous and so many people complimented them. Rob even took the time to make fresh roses to decorate my cake. He is a great and honest guy and we couldn't have been any happier,

Rob completely worked with me & my budget. No only were the flowers affordable but they were completely stunning! If you are looking for a way to have BEAUTIFUL flowers for an affordable price. One up Event is definitely the way to go. I went to a florist before I went to One Up Event Design and they completely shot down my creative but different ideas. Not Rob, he executed them beautifully & made my Christmas/Winter Wonderland Wedding come to life!

Rob is such an awesome and down to earth guy! He had a vision right away, and was able to make my simple "dream" become a reality. I was very worried because I did not want anything to be over the top. Rob was able to reassure me he would be able to make my idea become a reality. He made the most BEAUTIFUL bouquet, that I am still trying to keep alive two months later. He made gorgeous centerpieces of different heights and had compliments of candles on every table. Every piece he made was gorgeous, and made the wedding look so elegant! It was such a pleasure and fun to work with Rob! He definitely customizes your experience and makes the entire stressful thing, very unstressful! Have recommended him to so many people!!

I used one up event design for my wedding this past October and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Rob was so great to work with, and very attentive throughout the planning process. I can't say enough good things about One Up Event Design! Everything was absolutely perfect...... actually more than perfect!!!! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous!!!! All of our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was.... From the table arrangements, to the bouquets, perfect little boutonnieres, the beautifully decorated cake, the tall ceremony arrangements on the wine barrels, the bridal suite bouquet. Robert was so extremely helpful, professional, and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process from bouquets, to centerpieces, and everything in between. Robert takes your ideas and makes them more beautiful than you can imagine. Cares about your "big day" and making it perfect. Makes you feel like a family member as soon as you meet. Robert & his staff at One up event design went ABOVE AND BEYOND our dreams with flowers for our wedding. The bouquets were a dream. Before even booking with rob he invited me to my hall to see numerous sample arrangements. Two were samples of what I was asking for and the rest were ideas he had. He also brought buckets of flowers to make any changes if needed. Even after there was no obligation to book. The flowers for wedding as well as the chuppa were just what I wanted. Everyone loved them. Not only is his work awesome but so is rob. He was so much fun to work with!

We LOVE One Up! Rob worked with us very closely to achieve exactly the results I had dreamed of for my wedding day! I actually cried when I entered my reception room for the first look. That said, pintrest is your best friend and worst nightmare. I was pinning like Jennifer Lopez's centerpeices without even realizing it. So I worked very closely with Rob to talk about which flowers we wanted, which size arrangements, how to save money, etc. Rob did a good job of bringing me back to reality and talking me down. Rob provided useful feedback and ideas I never would have thought of- I got married at a time when cherry blossoms are available- big beautiful branches, gorgeous centerpeices not nearly as expensive as the tall topiaries you normally see at weddings! It is Rob's honest feedback that gave me peace of mind. Brides are very vulnerable, people hear wedding and they take advantage, not Rob! Honest opinions, honest prices, and AMAZING floral talent and hard work!

My wedding wAs on May 8, and it was perfect thanks to one up event. My venue looked absolutely amazing thanks to Robert and his team, they did an outstanding job. The center pieces were just beatiful they looked grand and were 100% fresh. My bouquet was beatiul and was done exactly like I pictured it in my head. My favorite was the Dias, it looked like it came out from a magazine it was pictures perfect. Robert was very easy to reach, by cell phone and email, and meet up with me and my husband anytime we needed to. I added and changed stuff two days before the wedding and he was fine with that and still made everything perfect. Definitely recommend one up event for weddings and any event for flowers, Thank you !!!

Robert and his whole One Up staff are absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I were just married at Russo's on The Bay this past Sunday, and the flowers, vases, set-up, everything, was breathtaking, and we were mind blown!!! Robert saw our vision and created a masterpiece! We could not have asked for more! Robert is on top of everything! He is dependable, professional, flexible, has a great personality, caring, and a floral genius!!! On top of our beautiful centerpieces with flowers and crystal bling vases with candles, The bouquets were absolutely gorgeous as well as all the corsages and boutonnières... One Up also created the most beautiful ceremony space with vases, a flower arch, a runner, and the most beautiful flower girl basket with petals We have ever seen! We used One Up for my son's christening on 11/9 in Staten Island. We loved the flowers at my brother's wedding on 10/11/14 so much that we wanted to use Rob again. He was responsive, creative, accommodating and gave us just what we wanted without it being too much. It is tough to find something simple, creative but beautiful for a baby boy's christening but Rob managed to do so and exceed our expectations. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the pieces were. Would use Rob again in a heartbeat!

Robert was highly recommended to me from a good friend. He made amazingly beautiful floral arrangements for my husbands 50th birthday party. I could not give a better review. Rob and his team were helpful from Day 1 by providing ideas, solutions, options, and anything else I requested for my special day. I was short on budget but wanted big style and Rob and team delivered 100% by working with me on the type of flower and design used. They were realistic and professional at all times and helped me understand all of my options from start to finish. When I walked into my venue and saw my flowers on the table, my jaw dropped! One Up Event Design helped us create a vision for our wedding and then made it a reality. Since neither my husband nor I know much about flowers, Rob sat with us on more than one occasion, pouring through photos until we found what we liked. Then, when we went to view our samples, he spent hours with us, tweaking and rearranging, until we were absolutely in love. On top of that, there were countless changes and requests on our part, which Rob was entirely attentive to, answering our calls and texts immediately. In addition to being completely professional and flexible, One Up also worked with our budget. Their deliveries were on time, the room looked stunning, the staff was pleasant and accommodating… in short, every dollar was well spent! OMG best florist I could have ever found!! Frank is amazing!! He comes to your house, will stay as long as necessary and will listen to what you want and show you how he can make it ten times better! We asked a lot of Frank and he definitely delivered! We had beautiful tall centerpieces, one was a white birch tree with curved branches on top with a floral arrangement and the other complemented it with gorgeous flowers and beautiful bright pink cynbinium (spelling?) orchids. He made my very uncommon bridesmaid bouquets GORGEOUS and stand out like no other!! We didn't want roses for boutonnieres, again a great and unique solution. Talk to Frank at OneUp, you will not be sorry!!

One Up Event Design was great! We loved the flowers they created for our daughter's Christening. Robert provided great ideas and guided us in the right direction with a selection of very creative and unique floral pieces. They were a real "WOW" factor! Also, was great that Robert took the time to come to my house to meet with me. It was a great accommodation.

Frank from One Up Event Design was wonderful to work with – professional, responsive and extremely talented! He took all my ideas (I had a lot of random ones) and made them all a reality. I cannot express how impressed I was/ am with all of the flowers they provided for my wedding day. It was more than I imagined when walking into the ballroom and seeing the final product they created all together including the centerpieces, tablecloths, escort card table decorations, bouquets and more!!

Everything was outstanding from the first meeting to the finished products on my wedding day to the way they pop and look in the pictures; I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We fell in love with Frankie's work while at a bridal showcase at Russo's on the Bay. It was exactly what we wanted. We met with Frankie and he helped us plan every single detail to our exact vision. He also helped us come up with an alternate centerpiece to create an even more breathtaking atmosphere. He was kind enough to travel all the way to Toms River NJ so that I would have the bouquets and some house arrangements for our pictures when getting ready. He is a pleasure to work with and such a sweet guy! We heard he was newer in the business but that only goes to enhance how phenomenal he is. He is an incredibly hard worker and dedicated to the company and his bride and grooms. He was concerned about every detail and making sure we had exactly what we envisioned. Plus he knows his stuff - flowers, arrangements...he is an expert on every detail! Our guests have not stopped raving about the gorgeous centerpieces and my bouquet. The even more amazing part is how the extra boutonnieres and corsages that were held in someone's refrigerator for us until after our honeymoon and they were in such perfect condition that we could have given them for use that day - two weeks after the wedding! He worked within our budget but did not cut any corners. Each centerpiece had at least 150 beautiful red roses and all of our flowers were of incredibly high quality. He even decorated a table by my seating chart with an amazing floral arrangement and candles. We cannot tell you enough how lucky and happy we are to have worked with him!

Look no further than One Up Event Design ! After our first meeting with Frank, there was no question that we had to use them. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable and charming - a few minutes into our meeting he knew exactly what I envisioned. Throughout the process, Frank & Rob were patient ( I was so indecisive!) and responded to all our inquiries within 24 hours. On a day with so many breathtaking moments, the flowers did just that. The bouquets and the boutonnieres were beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I had deep purple bridesmaid dresses and the suggested yellow in the bouquets really accentuated it. The ceremony flower set-up was beautiful and everyone loved the dais table presentation. Besides how beautiful everything was, the professionalism that was given to me and my husband was superior. I would highly recommend this business to everyone!

What a beautiful, gorgeous and lovely job Frank did for our wedding! My bouquet was outstanding, the centerpieces were fabulous, the tree and flower arrangement prepared for the placecard table was stunning, such as the flower arrangements for the church. Plus for the dias, we had an outstanding hedge of perfect red roses ...matching my beautiful bouquet. Frank was able to bring to life what I had envisioned for our wedding, way beyond my immagination and expectations! It was easy and great to work with him in deciding the flowers for our wedding..no stress! All our guests loved and were impressioned by the marvelous job Fank and One Up Event Design did.

First of all. Let me just start by saying that planning a wedding was the most stressful experience of my life. Going to vendor shows and show rooms was very overwhelming. I also felt like a lot of the vendors had the attitude of "take us or leave..we dont care". However, one up event design was very different than all of these experiences! They were able to completely understand the way i wanted my wedding to look and deliver an option that fit in our price range. Ladies, do yourself a favor and go straight to them. My mother already booked them for my upcoming baby shower :)
Personal service, genuinely nice guys, they are really going to be a big deal!

Frank and the team at One Up Event Design were incredible from start to finish. Frank was professional, helpful, and accompdating. They made my vision for flowers, centerpieces and chuppah come to life. Every flower and every design was truly gorgeous and my chuppah was one of a kind. The bridal party bouquets and my bouquet, as well as the reception card table, along with all the table centerpieces were breathtaking. The flowers and decor exceeded my every dream for my wedding day.

My centerpieces were beyond amazing! Everyone kept saying how beautiful they were. Even the staff at MDR said they were the nicest tables they had ever seen!! The church looked wonderful. The bouquets were stunning. The colors were perfect. Definitely recommend to other brides!

One Up Event Design is truly outstanding! I have used One Up for all of my special events and they always outdo themselves. The owners Rob and Frank take the time to spend with their clients and even came to meet me personally to offer their design expertise and to help me follow through with my color scheme, part theme, favors, and decor. From flowers, to lounge furniture, up- lighting and more, they are truly professionals in every aspect of event design. They were able to take my ideas and turn them into a reality. They were also able to make trendy floral pieces for my place card table, the cake table, dais table, and even the chair covers were uniquely coordinated to the extravagant floral centerpieces on each table. My guests were calling me to not only compliment the flowers, but to book them for their next occasion. I can't wait to use One Up Event Design again! Absolutely amazing! I found myself speechless upon seeing the final outcome of their floral designs and words cannot describe the amazing feeling I felt each time I walked into the venue where I was hosting a party.

My husband and I found One Up Event Designs as a Bridal Show in Long Island last year. They were a new company and needless to say we were very nervous about using them. Frank was extremely professional and flexible. He came to our home and worked with our budget. He also went to our venue and set up a sample of my centerpiece in the room. The flowers really turned out beautiful and everyone had wonderful feedback about our centerpieces. I really feel that his company is going to take off and they will be a great success! If I had to give one negative comment it would be that at times when I asked for copies or updates to the contract or receipts it would take a while to get back to me, BUT he did compensate for the lag in timing by giving us bows for the church at no charge and without us even asking. I must say we were really pleased and I wish this company nothing but the best!

Beautiful!

Rob was great! He knew my vision and was able to help me choose flowers based on pictures i’ve showed him. They delivered my flowers to the hotel room on time, fresh, and labeled! I know that might be silly, but everything was clear and just made my morning super easy. My bridal bouquet was perfect! I wish my roses bloomed a bit more but it was okay bc my bouquet lasted 7 days!!! Would recommend this vendor for your floral arrangements. Its a vendor you’ll want for your wedding

Sweet Sixteen 5.11.19

We used One Up Event Design for our daughter's sweet sixteen and they created centerpieces exactly how she envisioned them to look on her day. Rob was very accommodating about meeting times as well as changes that we made last minute. He gave us good ideas and also had visuals on a computer which made it easier for us to make decisions on certain items. The sample they created for her was amazing and they were willing to adjust the samples if she was not happy with colors or flowers used. When I made the final payment a week before the event, I left there feeling confident that the centerpieces would be beautiful. We could not be happier with how the final centerpieces turned out. I would definitely used One Up Event Design again for a formal function in the future and would certainly recommend them.

Let me start by saying I wasn't the easiest bride to work with. I had no idea what I wanted! Despite this, Rob created something beautiful for my wedding! I had a bouquet of white roses with crystals embedded in the roses ( I know gorgeous!). My girls had white peonies that accented the roses perfectly. The centerpieces were tall and elegant and my guests loved them! The flowers even arrived early on the wedding day, which left me with one less thing to panic over. Rob and his team are the absolute best!

The centerpieces made were for my mother's surprise 50th birthday as opposed to a wedding, but I can only imagine how beautiful the wedding centerpieces made from this business are. My mother's favorite colors are red and black and because she was turning 50 I wanted to incorporate gold, so the ideas Robert came up with for the flowers were based on this color scheme. He knew which flowers would look best in which colors, what vases to use, how to incorporate the gold (he used gold leaves, which looked beautiful), and quickly came up with ideas if I had trouble verbalizing what I wanted. He was just as eager as I was to see the end result and his enthusiasm excited me for the party. The flowers themselves were so gorgeous that several people came up to me at the end of the night with the centerpieces already in their hands asking me to take them home. The pieces were elegant, constructed with noticeable care, and perfectly followed the color scheme. I would recommend this business to anyone needing centerpieces or any sort of flower arrangement.

I was the Venue Event Planner for my Uncle's Wedding which was held on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at Raphael located on Long Island's North Fork/ East End. I was responsible for everything including finding the right person, the right company to fulfill all the flowers, bouquets and arrangements for the wedding.
One Up Event Design; owner Rob Pontillo & his team were a delightful to work with and my vision of what I wanted to accomplish became a reality - everything was beautiful ~ the flowers we had chosen with Rob's help, the rustic wooden boxes in which would hold the floral arrangements for the tasting room, the reception table arrangements, the ceremony atop the two wooden barrels, the bride's bouquet, etc...was perfect!
The CAKE; Rob added his creativity to the cake we had chosen through Raphael's vendor; by adding some simple - yet elegant fresh greenery / florals to it on the day of the wedding; which made it look even more spectacular.
Rob is not easy to always get a hold of or quick to respond; however he comes through with beautiful creativity and great quality of what you will receive at the end of the day for your special day or venue. I would certainly recommend One Up Event Design again; even for my own wedding; if one day I should be so lucky to meet Mr. Right. :)
My Uncle & his new wife were so happy with all that he & his team had accomplished on behalf of their special wedding day.; which their opinion is what truly matters.
Angella, Rob Pontillo's Wedding / Event Coordinator is sweet, helpful, kind & she assisted me with every aspect of our order ensuring we were right on point on what I had wanted to accomplish for my Uncle's Wedding. Angella was a true pleasure to work with and she is a terrific human being.

Beautiful flowers for the most part

Everything arrived on time and Robert tries to copy any images that you give him. All of our centerpieces came out nicely and the bouquets all came out lovely except for the calla lilies on my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere. We had asked for burgundy calla lilies, but without consulting us, he changed the calla lilies to white calla lilies that were sprayed bright red because the ones that came in were too dark. As a result, the calla lilies on my bouquet and the boutonniere were peeling the entire night. The photos of the lilies in the beginning of the wedding were completely different from the photos at the end. I had to keep brushing off the paint that was peeling off on his tuxedo the entire wedding. We wish that he would have contacted us ahead of time to let us know so that we would've been part of that decision. We were pretty flexible in the entire planning process and would've been fine with just white calla lilies if that was the alternative. It's unfortunate that this happened to the flowers that would be photographed the most. Other than that, all the other flowers were fine.
