Lovely last minute find!
We were married on Oct 11th. A wedding out together in about a month. Our cake person flaked on us and left us scrambling even more. I was so happy to find Barbara after looking at her cake portfolio I knew she was the one. She happened to have enough time available to make the small cake we needed. It was amazing so fresh, moist and delicious. The presentation was amazing. Barbara came that morning to set up and decorate for us. I would recommend her cakes anytime. Thank you Barbara

Wonderful experience
We wanted a few different cakes of various sizes and flavors and she accommodated them all:) She was flexible with where we needed to pick the cakes up from and on what timeframe. We ordered sheet cakes so that we could only have one presentable cake for our cake cutting and then serve basic sheet cakes to the guests, but even the sheet cakes looked fantastic. Lots of effort went into the cakes and it showed!

A beautiful and delicious cake!
Barbara from One Divine Cake was lovely to work with. She made it so easy. We gave her a photo of our idea, she met with my daughter and her fiancé to do a cake tasting and then delivered the cake and added the flowers on the day of the wedding! The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious too!

I would highly recommend Barbara of One Divine Cake. She was so easy to work with because she was professional, kind, interesting, and creative. I absolutely loved her cake design. She just "got" us and what we were looking for right away and most importantly, her cakes were delicious! Her honey spice cake was our favorite; the taste was amazing! We ended up with a small, one-tier cake for cutting and 72 cupcakes in 3 different flavors. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced she was. I can't recommend her enough!

We requested an under the sea themed cake, game some general concepts, and received an absolutely beautiful cake that was also absolutely delicious! From start to finish, Barbara was so easy to work with, friendly, professional, creative and made the process super easy. She has so many flavor combinations to choose from - the hardest part was trying to figure out which one we liked best from the tasting, they were all so good! Our guests all loved the cake as much as we did, and we would absolutely recommend One Divine Cake and would order again if we need a cake in the future!

Barbara was a total goddess and agreed to do my wedding cake when I was in a bit of a panic. I couldn't believe my luck when the most classically beautiful 2-tiered cake showed up at my wedding. Not only was it beautiful, it was SO tasty. We did a coconut top and champagne cake bottom. We got so many compliments and the entire cake was devoured by the end of the dessert service. We hired Barbara to make cupcakes for our wedding and I am so glad that we did! She made us chocolate and lemon/berry cupcakes and they were soooo delicious. An Absolute DREAM!
OMG THE WEDDING CAKE BARBARA CREATED WAS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM!!! Everybody raved at how beautifully exquisite and incredibly decedent the whole cake was. There is a video of the Groom and I walking into our reception room reveal to see all the decor and flower arrangements before the guests do, and when I saw the cake I was literally jumping up and down screaming, “Look how gorgeous and perfect this cake is and Barbara placed the flowers perfectly and I really don’t want to cut into its loveliness!” And oh my goodness, the flavor of each layer (almond, vanilla raspberry, and orange) and frosting was just better than any I’ve ever had. I had pretty high expectation when it came to my wedding and Barbara went above and beyond!

Gorgeous Delicious Wedding Cake
We looked at the pictures on the website and decided we wanted a naked cake (with the layers showing and white chocolate dripping down.) Although not on her list of flavors, we asked for a lemon poppyseed cake with raspberry filling, and Barbara enthusiastically agreed. On top of that, we asked at the last minute for her to make a larger cake and she very kindly accommodated us. The cake was as delicious as it was gorgeous!

Barbara did an amazing job at with our small cut cake and 200 assorted cupcakes for our 2022 wedding at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. We really enjoyed all the variety of flavors and the attention to detail when setting up the desserts was so appreciated! Any bride looking to have sweets at their wedding, I highly recommend! Barbara also was extremely understanding when we had to move our wedding date not once but twice due to the pandemic.

Barbara was very accommodating and before we booked we asked about tastings but due to Covid she wasn’t doing in person tastings and we also lived hours ago, so instead she offered to overnight ship cupcakes to taste in a small cooler. My husband and I were so pleased with her accommodating us and absolutely loved all of the flavors we tried. We decided to book and so happy we did! Our cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly if not better than expected for our wedding. We chose red velvet cake and also ordered a variety of cupcakes. Beautiful cake and great service
I reached out to Barbara just two weeks before my wedding after my venue said they would no longer be able to provide a cake thanks to COVID-19. She created the exact cake I had imagined! I left flowers and the topper at the venue the day before the reception and she decorated the cake so beautifully. I was in awe when I saw it. The cake tasted delicious— everyone at our small reception said so!

Beautiful, delicious, and absolutely seamless.
First and most importantly our cake was DELICIOUS! It came out beautifully and Barbara really made the whole process seamless and flexible! She kept in contact with our florist to arrange for flowers on our cake and made sure to give all the details needed to our wedding coordinator. I would highly recommend her, especially because the cake was moist and tasted amazing!

Delicious cake from a sweet lady!
Barbara was wonderful to work with! I planned our Lake Tahoe wedding from Las Vegas and not only was Barbara quick to reply to emails, she was able to mail us cake samples to taste before we chose our selections for the big day! We chose her vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting as our wedding cake, which was to die for! We also had a selection of desserts she provided for us including banana pudding cups, cheesecake, red velvet cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. All of which were delicious and everyone raved about them during the reception! I believe we even ran out of most of the desserts because people kept going back for more! I couldn't be more thrilled with the way things turned out and I'm so glad I chose Barbara with One Divine Cake!

She mailed cake samples to my daughter since she lives out of town. She created a great version of my daughters favorite "hummingbird" cake. Delivery was prompt and final version was beautiful!

She did a wonderful job and was very accommodating! I wanted a specific cake that a lot of people hadn’t heard of. She took the time to find the perfect recipe and even mailed me cake samples so I could taste her cakes even though I was planning from 7 hours away. My cake looked and tasted amazing. It's an absolute joy to work with Barbara. She's made it easy for us from the start and was very responsive and helpful. All I really did was send her a few photos of what I wanted the cake to look like and she was able to make the cake beyond our expectations. Not to mention, it was super delicious! We got the brown sugar flavored cake and cupcakes and they were the bomb! Everyone absolutely loved them! My only regret is that I can't just order this cake from a local bakery. :)

This is the best cake lady ever!!! We had a small intimate historic courthouse wedding followed by a reception at the Auburn alehouse where the cake & mini-cupcakes were delivered & set up. So grateful for the hard work & sweet end to a perfect day:) We would highly recommend One Divine Cake!!!

I couldn't recommend Barbara at One Devine Cake enough! We recently used her for our wedding, after recommendations from a friend who also used her for their wedding. We decided to go with cupcakes and a cutting cake. We had 98 people at our wedding, so i figured 12 dozen cupcakes would be enough... nope!! People were going crazy! Thank goodness our venue stashed a few in our room for us :) We had 6 different flavors, and all of them were to die for. Almond was my favorite!! I showed Barbara my ideas for what i wanted the cake table to look like and also ideas for the cake. She nailed it! It was EXACTLY as i wanted and hoped! Thanks so much One Divine Cake for helping to make my big day perfect!!!

Barbara was fantastic to work with! She made our wedding cake and an assortment of cookies and bars for our dessert table, and we could not have been happier with the results. We planned our wedding from Chicago, so we did not have time to do a tasting, but Barbara's baking exceeded expectations! Everything was SO delicious, and our guests could not stop talking about the desserts at our brunch the next day.
We decided to have our top tier during our mini-moon in Tahoe rather than wait for our first anniversary, and I am SO happy that we did this. I've never had a more delicious cake, and I can't wait to get more cakes from her to celebrate our anniversaries.
Taste aside, everything looked so beautiful, and it was even better than I could have imagined!

We loved working with Barbara! We hadn't seen an exact photo of a cake that we loved, so we sent her several photos that were similar to what we wanted and described what we wanted the final cake to look like. Barbara did the BEST job at creating a cake that was exactly what we had dreamed of. She matched the colors perfectly to our bridal party outfits. The cake flavors were delicious (we had three: coconut, red velvet, and funfetti). All of our guests kept commenting how delicious the cake was and EVERY last piece was eaten! The coconut was nearly everyone's favorite flavor; it was very moist and had the best coconut flavor. It also didn't taste too surgary or like fake coconut. The red velvet was very light and flaky and had a wonderful chocolate taste. We don't live in the Tahoe area, so Barbara sent us cake samples to our house via the mail. The samples were fresh and arrived on time. Barbara is also very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive to emails and phone calls. I can't say enough great things about Barbara or the cake that she made for us!

We used One Divine for a cutting cake for our wedding. It was very reasonably priced and tasted GREAT! This option is a MUST for a wedding that has alternative options for desert, but still wants to showcase a cake and do a cake cutting. Barbara was so helpful in every step of the wedding cake planning process. I live in Ventura and got married in Tahoe. I chose to use local vendors in the Sacramento/Tahoe area for all aspects of my wedding day, including One Divine Cake. Barbara sent the cake tastings (in cupcake form), overnight, so that I would be able to try out her cake flavors, fillings, & icings, without having to make an extra trip up north. It was extremely accommodating! I explained to her what I was looking for (I'm not really a dessert person) and she was able to create the most beautiful "naked cake" I've ever seen. Not only was it visually stunning, it was absolutely delicious! Barbara was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive, professional, and very accommodating. I would recommend One Divine Cake to all brides in the Norcal/Tahoe area.

Barbara was 100% amazing. I was frankly so surprised how reasonably priced and helpful she was after talking to other bakers and cake vendors in the area. She is very responsive over email, shipped me cupcake samples via priority mail (awesome) and provided the perfect cake stand/platter for my outdoor wedding at Lake Tahoe. Plus, she has an entirely reasonable delivery charge; much better than other local vendors. Our cake was delicious, and she did everything I asked in terms of how it looked. Highly recommend her.

Barbara was kind enough to bake a few cupcakes for my fiancé to taste too so that he could pick his flavor, and she delivered them to my work for me.... so helpful in our busy work lives :)
All of our guests complimented not only on how cute the cake was, but how delicious it was too and I couldn't agree more! Thank you Barbara for baking our wedding cake exactly how we wanted it!
