Sussie is a phenomenal wedding planner. We did a ton of DIY for our wedding and she made sure we stayed on track and kept us organized. But most importantly for us, on the day of the wedding, she made sure that we actually got to enjoy all the things we created and planned. I feel like so many couples (but mostly the brides, let's be honest) don't actually get to have fun and enjoy their own wedding because they're so busy dealing with all the last minute details or changes. We got to sit down and eat our food, we got to spend time with people, and we got to spend time with each other because she kept things running smoothly behind the scenes. Professional and thoughtful
Sussie Figueroa and Comfort really know how to make a couple feel relaxed and happy. They were attentive to the smallest details and always answered all our questions. We cannot thank Sussie enough! We feel so extremely lucky that we found her - we hired Sussie for day-of-coordinating, because we had a good sense of what we wanted and were planning the wedding ourselves, but little did we know that Sussie was going to be such a huge asset in helping us figure out details we had not thought of even in the months leading up to the wedding. She asks for a lot less compensation than she could given the amount of work she puts in, compared to other coordinators I spoke with. She has a wonderful personality, incredibly caring and positive, which she brought to the entire planning process as well as the day of the wedding. She really wants to get to know you and make the day special for you. Many people complimented us on how perfectly the wedding went, and we ourselves were able to relax and enjoy ourselves, all thanks to Sussie's amazing coordination skills!Once Upon A Time Wedding Services, Inc.'s reply:

Once Upon a Time is the only way to go!!!
We hired Sussie Figueroa and we were sure glad we did! From our first meeting until the big day we were nothing but impressed!! Her ideas, kindness, professionalism, along with her experience in the business was flawless. We give her 5 stars and could not think more highly of all her attention to detail and completeness. She was patient with any changes we needed and her sand ceremony was a great detail she offers that will stay with us forever. Pamela and Job’s Wedding
Planning a wedding is very stressful for the bride and groom and also the parents. I was prepared to be the cool headed person to help everyone enjoying the moment. But thanks to Sussie and her team from Once Upon A Time Wedding Services, I was able to lay back enjoying the moment as well. Not only they had put in place a well planned event, but also they were constantly available to pickup additional chores just to give us a chance to enjoy every bit of the moment . I was impressed when Sussie learned that the rehearsal dinner was going to be at our house, she offered to my wife to take on the services just to free us up. That is going above and beyond.
The guests were extremely satisfied. We were too. Sussie and her team were exceptional.

Sussie was an absolute pleasure to work with. Through our planning, she was incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and took off any and all pressures that we may have faced. On the day of, everything went by seamlessly. I can be a bit of a control freak, and I was so worried that I would try to do too much on the day-of in order for things to be perfect. But Sussie took care of every single thing, allowing me and my bridal party to relax while we prepped, and she even brought us lunch! All of my nerves leading up to the day settled, and after the ceremony, I truly felt like a guest at my own wedding. Sussie was a godsend for us as we were planning our wedding, piecing together our own vendors and trying not to stress over the details. Sussie not only was incredibly responsive, meeting with us personally and over the phone multiple times to get everything right and even recommending great vendors that did amazing work for our wedding - she saved us money! Not only that, she was very detail-oriented and always had our itinerary updated with any last-minute change we made - and added some nice details for the day of. Not only that, her facilitation of the wedding itself - all parts of it - on the day of allowed us to enjoy our friends, family, party time, and the love of our special day without anxiety and stress. Although we’re happy the rigor of wedding planning is over, we’re sad we don’t get to work with Sussie anymore! A planner and day-of coordinator is crucial and we could not have done it without Sussie. Lauren Sent on 10/19/2017SUSSIE IS AMAZING! Boy, where to start. My husband and I had basically had a complete DIY wedding. We used a friends property that was not a wedding venue and had to bring EVERYTHING in and hire all vendors ourselves. I knew come day of if I didn't have a day of coordinator I wouldn't enjoy my wedding. That's when I found Sussie! She was quick to respond and we set up a phone call to discuss what I was looking for and I immediately felt at ease. She asked questions about details that hadn't even crossed my mind and I knew she was going to make our day seamless. She is also a Justice of the Peace and actually officiated our ceremony as well. At first I was worried because I thought she may need to be assisting vendors during our ceremony but she seemed like she had done it 100 times over being both the officiant and day of coordinator.
We met with her twice in person over a 6 month period leading up to the wedding and would go over any and all details that needed to be covered as we approached wedding day. The last few weeks before the wedding Sussie reached out to me at least once a week to say "how are you, how are things going, what can I help with". I knew if I needed something she was just a phone call away and it was so nice to have that peace of mind.
She also got in contact with ALL of our vendors prior to the wedding and made sure to tell them if they had any questions wedding day to NOT come see myself or my husband...to go see her as she was there to handle anything that could come up. It was fantastic.
The day of our wedding she was even more amazing. She was going all over the property the morning of to help with deliveries and getting vendors set up. She came in and checked with me before the ceremony and to give us a heads up as we were approaching the ceremony. Then the day began and its all a magical blur because my husband and I had a dream wedding. Everything went perfectly and we have Sussie to thank for that!!!Once Upon A Time Wedding Services, Inc.'s reply:

Even our family and friends could not stop talking about how wonderful it was and how they enjoy all the added personal touches. She not only crafted a wonderful and engaging ceremony, she also easily handled all the logistics for the day. She made sure everyone was taken care of -- this included keeping a 17 person bridal party on track (and feeding us), as well as, managing almost 200 guests at the wedding. She also somehow completed the almost impossible task of finding a flower very dear to the bride (we couldn't find it anywhere, but somehow, Sussie did). This woman must be magic. Sussie is a genuinely warm and caring person, who loves making the wedding an unforgettable experience for everyone. She is thoughtful, culturally sensitive, and always makes herself available for any questions or details. She was flexible and worked hard to design and plan a ceremony unique to our needs. She was also thoughtful in her role as day-of organizer. Our wedding was on an unusually hot day and Sussie arranged to bring a cooler full of cold bottled water for guests. We highly recommend working with Once Upon A Time Wedding Services.

I didn’t hire Once upon a Time for selecting my vendors, I did by myself! Sometimes I thought it was for the best bc I had my visions.. some other times I felt really lost and bc I didn’t hire the service I felt as I couldn’t ask for help or when I did, she couldn’t help me for the same reason..
So my whole year before the wedding it was this mix of feelings..
At my wedding day tough, everything changed! I couldn’t feel more peaceful and enjoying more my moment if Sussie wasn’t there! Even with a broken toe! I didn’t made a rehearsal so things were “imperfect” but also magical!
At the end I can say: go big and hire them for the full service or just hire them for your wedding day (that I truly recommend).Once Upon A Time Wedding Services, Inc.'s reply:
