We are so glad we chose Once in a Blue Moon Bakery for our wedding cake! They were super easy and flexible to work with, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted for our wedding day! We had three different flavors and they were all delicious and super fresh. Loved it! -

Oh my goodness, Once in a Blue Moon provided us the best wedding cake ever!! The cake turned out so beautifully, my husband and I couldn't stop talking about the cake the day after our wedding! They got all the details we wanted perfectly, even modeling our two cats as our cake toppers! Not only was it beautiful, but it was DELICIOUS! I'm so excited to have our one-year anniversary cake with them!! -

Once In A Blue Moon did an excellent job with our wedding cake! They were so nice and accommodating throughout the entire process, from vision to execution to delivery at our wedding venue. We showed them photos of what we were thinking and they pulled it off wonderfully. I wish I still had the original inspiration photo we showed. We would definitely recommend their wedding cake services and truly can't thank them enough! -

Once in a Blue Moon was such an easy bakery to work with and the cake was SO TASTY on wedding night and looked beautiful. We also decided to freeze the top layer and it froze so well - I dug into it yesterday as we just got back from our honeymoon and it is still delicious. I will continue to buy cakes from the bakery and would definitely recommend it to anyone for their wedding. -

The cake was delicious and beautiful, everyone was extremely easy to work with, and you get a free cake on your anniversary! We went with yellow cake, tiramisu filling, and vanilla buttercream for one layer and chocolate cake, raspberry mousse, and almond buttercream for the other. Still drooling thinking about it! -

Once In a Blue Moon made the wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding this past weekend and it was incredible. We got so many compliments on the cake and desserts. Delivery was very flexible and they were happy to work with our coordinator on times. The cake itself was gorgeous. We really could not have asked for anything better. We would highly recommend the bakery for any special events or just to get yourself a treat. Best cakes in Cary. -

Planning a wedding from a distance is a little bit nerve-wracking, but after speaking with Once in a Blue Moon we knew we had found the bakery for us. Although we couldn’t do a tasting, we spoke with the owner who helped us decide on flavors, size, and style. The pricing was also very transparent and exactly what they said it would be, which I appreciated. I communicated to them what I imagined for the cake and sent a few pictures and they did the rest! The cake arrived on our wedding day on time and was even more beautiful than I imagined! They did an incredible job and it was delicious too! We had plenty of cake and... -

Once in a blue moon bakery was great!! We had a three tier wedding cake, and each layer was delicious. The sampler we got from them was great and let us try each kind of cake, filling, and icing. We did one layer of carrot cake, one layer of vanilla with raspberry filling, and another layer of chocolate with chocolate raspberry filling. The cake was beautiful and delicious! We are big dessert people, so finding a cake that tasted great was our main priority. Highly recommend once in a blue moon for your wedding cake! -

Once in a Blue Moon has been my favorite bakery for over 20 years and I knew I wanted them to create our wedding cake. They created a sample box for us to try all the cake, icing, and filling options at home (due to COVID) and set up a video call for us to go over our thoughts and plan the cake! We requested a Carolina blue three tier cake with white piping with no other requests. They were so excited for artistic freedom and they 1000% executed. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and tasted delicious! We can’t wait for our one year anniversary!! -

I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Blue Moon. We had to change our wedding several times this past year and they worked with us each time. They were so flexible and understanding. On the day of our wedding the cake was even better then I remembered. It looked beautiful and tasted even better. Looking forward to our anniversary cake next year already. -

We got our wedding cake through Once In A Blue Moon Bakery & Cafe, and we have nothing but praise!
First, the cake was absolutely amazing. We had a yellow cake with raspberry mousse and cream cheese frosting. This was a phenomenal cake! It was hard to stop eating!
Second, they were super easy to work with. I have a few unusual allergies, and they were able to easily work around them. They were able to get us in for a tasting in relatively short time. They delivered to our venue with absolutely no issue.
Third, they worked around our needs. We had an idea for what we wanted our wedding cake to look and taste... -

They did a great job with our cupcakes for our wedding! We went in for a tasting and knew we wanted to work with Blue Moon Bakery. Their staff was super friendly and didn’t rush us in deciding. The cupcakes were so good!
We also did a ‘Simpsons’ Groomsmen cake. I showed them what we were envisioning, and they were able to create such a beautiful and fun cake that really added an extra special touch to our wedding

They were so flexible and added a little touch for me of a picture of my pet on the back that made the wedding cake even better! Our guests loved it and the groomscake looked so good- in buttercream! I can't believe the skill and how smooth it was. I thought they had delivered fondant at first because it was so perfect.
The flavors were all perfect since you can do one each tier and our guests ate so much that they had to go cut more from the back (twice!). The red velvet groomscake was divine. We did a tier... -

Joy Sent on 08/24/2013For my wedding, I didn't want wedding cake. I just wanted cake. Awesome tasting, good looking cake. I did not care for a lot of the cake I tried at various places, including my venue, but Once in a Blue Moon came recommended by a friend.
The tasting was great and the price SUPER reasonable. I opted for two 8" cakes and one 10" cake for display and then 2 sheet cakes in the back (so total 5), each in a different flavor with differing decorations, but all very simple... all 3 layers (we saved a small amount of money by having 3 instead of 4 layers, because... who cares!) and all were fresh and exceedingly delicious. The cake table looked great and we had many compliments on how good the cake was. -

Marie Sent on 10/09/2012We worked with Nancy at Once in a Blue Moon. She was fantastic to work with for the tasting/selection. She gave suggestions for small design details I hadn't considered. Their cakes are delicious and beautiful! The finished product was exactly as I envisioned and it tasted as good as it looked. I highly recommend this bakery for any special event cakes.
