  Olive and Shae

  My wife and I got married at Johnson's Locust Hall Farm in September of 2023 and had the day of our dreams! We chose Olive and Shae to be our caterer without a second thought. We loved their intricate presentations, the mix of classic to funky foods and the quality they deliver. Chelsea was incredible to work with, listened to every detail we discussed over the many months prior and we feel so lucky to have had her as our caterer. The wedding guests could not stop raving about the incredible food that was served from cocktail hour through dinner, many even said it was the best food at a wedding they have ever had. She delivered high end restaurant quality food which met and exceeded everything we could have asked for. One other thing about working with Chelsea is she helps coordinate everything day of at the event to make sure your days goes by seamlessly! We cannot thank her and her staff enough for their incredible service!

  Olive and Shae made our wedding dreams come true!

  We absolutely loved working with Chelsea at Olive and Shae. Chelsea is so experienced in the wedding industry and had so many fun ideas to make our wedding day special. From our first conversation until the wedding day we knew we were with the right planner. We couldn’t have pulled off a perfect wedding without her!!

  The best out there!

  When you book with O&S, you get more than just a catering company; you get their knowledge of event planning as well. Their food is not a traditional steakhouse wedding meal. They have fusions of different cultures that you can tailor to suit your guests. Every meal & bite is elevated and out guests could not stop talking about their dinner. I would hire them for every event if I could. Please consider hiring O&S for wedding!!!

  Outstanding

  Working with Chelsea made the whole wedding process so easy. She shared great ideas and was always available to answer any questions along the way. The food for my wedding was absolutely amazing and the presentation was outstanding. It was a true culinary experience that Everyone raved over! in addition it all came out on time and the service was superior!

  Baby Shower catered by Olive and Shae

  The pre-event planning was so helpful in guiding us to make decisions that truly made our event more special than we could imagine. All of the staff were very service oriented and made me and all of our guests so comfortable. Food was excellent - many of my friends that attended my event have already reached out to get the contact information for our caterer Olive and Shae

  Engagement lunch

  Olive & Shea did a beautiful job at my daughters engagement lunch. Chelsea listened to our needs and ensured they were met. Such lovely feedback from our family and friends on the service provided by Olive & Shea. The presentation of the food was impeccable and very delicious. The decor and set up was beautifully done. Chelsea and her staff ensured our guests were comfortable and was very attentive. I was very pleased and happy with the services provided by Olive &Shea. Do not hesitate to book Olive & Shea for your next event. They are wonderful!!!

  All in one wedding planning

  Working with Chelsea and Jordan was the easiest part of the wedding process. Since day one they were attentive and there to answer any question we may have, no matter how small or trivial. They were always there to provide suggestions as well as ideas that would make our special day even better. They were able to help us along the way and make to do lists so we stayed on track during the process. The food, both offered and prepared was some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had. Guests still talk about the food. Being the day of coordinators, they put our minds at ease so we could focus on what is important. I would gladly refer anyone to this company, as they provided top notch service from start to finish.

From the first time I talked to Chelsea I had a feeling she was who I wanted to work with, she was so kind and compassionate. Her and Jordan were so responsive to my questions and any worries or concerns we may of had. To our surprise at the tasting they made mini pizzas and shooters of Cabernet as a way to remember our date which will be a “flavor burst” for each of our guests to enjoy at the wedding. The way they incorporated us as a couple in other ways as well made the entire process feel so personal. Not to mention how delicious every single item we tasted was! We cannot wait for them to make our special day even more so!!!!

  Not only did Olive and Shea provide the BEST food, literally everyone’s plate was empty and soo many people came to us during and after the wedding saying how delicious it was, but they also provide the BEST service. Chelsea and Jordan were always so patient, kind, and ready to help. They also were always excited to plan with us which was such a nice attitude to work with during a stressful time!! 1000% recommend!

  I chose Olive & Shae as my caterer for my wedding at Johnson's Locust Hall Farm in July 2022. Chelsea and Jordan were professional and accommodating as they helped me plan my big day. They answered all of my questions in a friendly manner. They took care of a LOT of the details and planning while still maintaining my vision, which took a lot of stress off of me! I had faith that they would do a fantastic job with the planning and communicating with the other vendors, and I was right! My wedding was absolutely perfect and beautiful, with a huge thanks to them! The food was also incredible, as well as unique. I highly recommend them and am so glad I chose them!

  Tasting & Event Planning Excellence

  From the moment my fiancee and I spoke with Chelsea about working with Olive & Shae for our wedding day, we knew she was the event planner and caterer for us. We attended our tasting last week and it was such an incredible experience. We left there feeling so happy in our decision to partner with Chelsea and the Olive & Shae team. Chelsea's event planning creativity and knowledge, kind personality, sense of humor and attention to detail made us so happy to be working with her and the team. The tasting of the amazing food selections made us so excited to share the culinary experience with our loved ones on our wedding day! The food presentation was top notch and I don't know where anyone will find such a unique and flavorful experience if they don't choose Olive and Shae for their event! They surprised us with a flavor burst centered around our life with our soon to be blended family of 5! It was so touching and unexpected. I may have cried. lol My fiancee and I can't stop talking about the overall ease and comfort that comes from knowing that Chelsea, Jordan and the team will make our event so special.   Olive & Shae Helped Create the Wedding of our Dreams

  My husband Shaun and I got married on July 16, 2022 and we’re going to be riding the high for a LONG time. It was absolute perfection, and we owe a huge thank you to Chelsea and Jordan, and the entire O&S staff for that. Olive & Shae came recommended by our venue, Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, and as soon as I saw the materials and the website, I was instantly hooked. Everything was so beautiful, detailed, creative, and totally spoke to my style, and I absolutely loved the unique concepts behind the O&S experience. From the first phone call, Chelsea was so attentive and full of energy and excitement to help Shaun and I plan our big day. I was honestly always on the fence about having a wedding, but Chelsea put me at ease because I knew things were taken care of, and planning could actually be fun and carefree! Being an O&S bride was truly awesome from start to finish: both Chelsea and Jordan were incredibly responsive, kind, and totally in tune with our needs as a couple. For any questions I had, Chelsea was always there to guide and offer her expertise. And on our big day, she was a calm, friendly presence, which was just what we needed… and I know she and Jordan were working incredibly hard behind the scenes all day and night to make it perfect for us.
  
  Now…. The food experience…was just something out of this world. The dishes are beautiful, thoughtfully crafted AND insanely delicious. I had no doubts about how amazing it would be, but to see my fiancée’s during our tasting was truly priceless. He was so impressed, not only by how good everything tasted, but also how thoughtful the experience was. Flash forward to our wedding day, and we had guests telling us it was BY FAR the best wedding food experience ever - and it truly is an experience, from the way everything is served, to the plating, and decor. And it all matched beautifully with our overall style and feel at Locust Hall.
  
  O&S is a rare gem and the team are absolute rockstars. I would get married all over again just to have this experience another time, because it was something special. Thank you, Chelsea and the whole team!!!

Flash forward to our wedding day, and we had guests telling us it was BY FAR the best wedding food experience ever - and it truly is an experience, from the way everything is served, to the plating, and decor. And it all matched beautifully with our overall style and feel at Locust Hall.
  
  O&S is a rare gem and the team are absolute rockstars. I would get married all over again just to have this experience another time, because it was something special. Thank you, Chelsea and the whole team!!!

  Planning and Tasting Experience!

  I cannot rave enough about Olive and Shae! My fiancé and I have been working with Chelsea and Jordan for about a year as we prepare for our June 22 wedding. From the very beginning Chelsea’s passion for planning unforgettable events was evident and I left our first phone call feeling so excited and at ease as we entered the planning process.
  
  We recently had our food tasting and WOW! My fiancé and I were so excited to experience the Olive and Shae creations for ourselves and our expectations were quickly surpassed. The amount of creativity, thought, and care that went into each bite was more than we could have imagined and unlike anything we’ve had at any wedding before. We also appreciate the flexibility and customizations that Olive and Shae offer in planning as well as the menu. Being able to incorporate our tastes or favorites as a way to reflect our love and relationship in every part of the day, including food, is something you are not going to find everywhere. Our tasting helped us envision our day and what guests experience will be. Taste, creativity, plating and presentation were all outstanding for literally everything that we tried at our tasting.
  
  Our tasting also included a meeting about many details for a smooth run of day. We are about 80 days out and with the help of Olive and Shae we are organized, prepared, and feeling at ease knowing our day is in such capable hands!

  The best!

  I had an amazing wedding and I have to give a lot credit to Chelsea and Jordan for helping make that happen. All of my pre wedding questions were answered so quickly, sometimes within minutes of me emailing them. They helped me with vendor recommendations, organized my vendors so that I didn't have to, and helped with any other questions that I had. On the day of the wedding, they helped keep my timeline on track throughout the wedding day and their food was so beautiful to look at and even better tasting! My husband and I had a lot of secret surprises for each other and Chelsea knew them all and kept those secrets on lock and key. Don't hesitate to use the Olive and Shae team they made my wedding planning experience a breeze.

  More concerned about their image than their service

  Olive and Shae fell incredibly short on many catering parameters at our wedding, which we promptly brought to their attention. Not only did Chelsea leave her mother in charge the day of our event, she was grossly unprepared for the day and hardly interacted with us as our event captain. There were so many egregious errors that we brought to Chelsea's attention (hiring staff the morning of the event off of Facebook that ended up being rude to our guests, not having our sweetheart table set - we were the only ones without champagne in our glass for our toast, inexperienced bartenders who couldn't find extra supplies we paid for, substituting a dessert without our knowledge that the original was tied to a close family tradition, not honoring our requests on certain meal items that we clearly agreed on, and finally.... the food was FAR BELOW quality of our tasting), and we were met back with a refund for 2.5% of our total contract price. After crowdsourcing our experience with many in the business community through my Wharton alumni community, all of the caterers we spoke to believed we were offered subpar service and that a 2.5% refund was completely inadequate and insulting. We spoke up to Chelsea and were instead met by her hostility and attorneys who tried to strong arm us into signing a confidentiality agreement which would preclude us from speaking about our experience or leaving any reviews. We're not in a position where we need to take hush money, so we declined signing and never received any refund. We'll be speaking about this experience as loudly as possible.
