Best venue!

We held our wedding at the Old Rock House on 9/24/2022 our expectations were exceeded in every possible way!!! Old Rock House has always been my favorite venue, and I'd been wanting to get married there since long before I was even engaged. They were the first venue we toured, and we had no need to look at any other venues because we knew it was the perfect fit. From the beginning, Ashley and the rest of the ORH team were very organized and straightforward, while also being laid back and easy to work with. We were able to save on a wedding planner, because Ashley took care of pretty much every aspect - she did the seating chart, the decorations, the linens, and was very helpful in advising on timelines and all the small details. I am NOT a planner and was afraid this wedding would be so stressful, but she seriously made it SO easy and relaxed. The food (made in-house) was very solid, we went with BBQ and the buffet line moved smoothly and dinner was nice and quick, just like we wanted. HUGE shoutout to the bartenders - we received many comments about how great the cocktails were and that there was never a wait, even with 180 drinkers in the house. The atmosphere all night was LIT! The patio was the perfect place to socialize for those who weren't on the dance floor, complete with a Mirror photo booth (ordered through ORH) which was so much fun. The dance floor was truly unbeatable. We knew we wanted a live band for our wedding, and if you're looking to get a live band, then you absolutely cannot find a better stage and dance floor than ORH. The lighting was awesome, the sound was phenomenal, and the dance floor was the perfect size that it felt full but not at all overcrowded. I don't think I left the dance floor for more than 10 minutes because it was such a blast. After the band was done, they let us provide a 90 minute spotify playlist for the last part of the night. I cannot tell you how many people reached out to us afterwards to tell us how fun and unique the venue was. I know it was a night our guests will never forget, and I cannot thank the whole ORH team enough for making our special day so much better than we ever could have dreamed. I'm getting emotional just writing this review so I'll leave it at that - we love you ORH!!!!

Amazing venue!

We had our wedding reception at the Old Rock House. It was fantastic! Great food, great service, and a wonderful venue. Ashley helped us every step of the way. She was so easy to communicate with! We chose to have One Way Traffic play for our reception and enjoyed every minute of it! They blew the top off! If you are looking for a unique, sound and light equipped venue that will go above and beyond to make your party the best, the Old Rock House will definitely rock your world!

Perfect Wedding & Reception

Our experience with Old Rock House was absolute perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or better people to work with. Pauly and his team are supportive and flexible and took care of literally everything! Our guests have not stopped raving about the food and how much they loved the space. Nate and I really appreciated the private room downstairs where we got ready and could "take 5" when needed.
If you are lucky enough to find that the Old Rock House is available for your big day- book it- you will not be disappointed.

AMAZING Wedding Experience

Awesome venue! We had our wedding there on November 2, and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. Pauly was incredibly helpful and made sure that our day was perfect. The Old Rock House took care of everything for us (food, drink, decorations, flowers, DJ and more), so that when it came to the day of we didn't have to worry about anything (including paying a thousand different people). So many people have told us that it was the best wedding they've ever been too.

We wanted something unique without too much DIY. Pauly and his team were able to work with us to achieve just that.

40th birthday party

The location was convenient to both IL and MO guests. Loved the free/security monitored parking. Guests raved about the food and had so much fun! I loved the venue as soon as I saw it, but it still exceeded my expectations. The staff was super responsive and friendly!

Perfect night

The Old Rock House provided us with the perfect venue for our wedding. The food was amazing. Pauly and Johna are great to work with. I am a vegetarian, and they were able to create several terrific vegetarian dishes. That being said, I was one of 2 vegetarians...Meaning there were several great meat selections as well. We still have people telling us how great the food was, and how much they enjoyed the Old Rock House. We cannot thank them enough for all of their help.

Amazing from start to finish!

I seriously cannot even begin to describe how perfect our reception at The Old Rock House was! Pauly and his team was a dream to work with from start to finish. We wanted to do a Louisiana Bayou/Cajun theme, and Pauly was already on it! He let us sample his gumbo and red beans & rice at our booking and even was up for trying a new family recipe of ours! We had family from southern Louisiana and when they approve of Pauly's Cajun cooking (and Grandma's peas!) then you know it's good!! The day itself was flawless and seamless and Pauly took care of us every single step of the way. 11/10 would do it all over again!!

LOVED the Old Rock House

The Old Rock House was the perfect venue for us! My husband and I had been here for concerts and when we found out they also do weddings, we knew it would be the place for ours. We had about 175 guests and felt like it was the perfect amount of space. I loved having the upstairs and downstairs areas where our guests could hang out throughout the night, as well as the space downstairs where the wedding party could gather and keep their things. Pauly was super helpful throughout our planning process. He answered all of our questions and set us up with a lot of additional vendors that Old Rock House had connections with, including a DJ, photo booth, and even an ice sculpture! Would totally recommend for those looking for an alternative venue that'll cross a lot of items off your list.

Book this venue ASAP!!! We visited many venues and booked this place immediately after the tour. It fit everything we were looking for and then some. The ORH has a fun, not-too-stuffy vibe, is located where people could Uber home or get a hotel (no need to leave early or worry about driving), is extremely memorable and unique, and offers easy planning (they provided the DJ, catering, ceremony, and decorating). It is NOT a wedding factory where you have to share your special day with 5 other newlyweds.

When we booked we got the entire venue for the entire day to ourselves which meant we had flexibility to design our day however we wanted. We are very laid back and loved Pauly's no-fuss approach and demeanor. He takes a lot of pride in what he does, and everyone loved him! If you are someone like me who thinks stressing out over the minute details that most people will not even notice is wasted energy, then Pauly is perfect.

The experience was so good that we actually had guests talking about planning another event at the ORH and having everyone pitch in because they liked it so much and wanted to come back!

We had the wedding of our dreams at Old Rock House! We had a rock'n'roll feel to our wedding since attending concerts has been a big part of our relationship. Pauly and Beth at ORH were SO great - I had loads of questions for them since we planned everything ourselves and we moved to Arizona only 3 months before the big day. The food was unbelievable and everything went smoother than I could have ever imagined. If you are having a live band for your reception, you MUST check out ORH!!!!! THANK YOU ORH!!!!! My husband and I got married in Mexico then had our at home reception at the Old Rock House. We could not be happier with our decision. The entire Old Rock House team set everything up for us and made it so easy. All we had to do was show up! Our guests are still telling us how amazing all the food was, too. Everything is made in house and so delicious. There was plenty of staff working so even if the bar got busy, there were others walking around to serve our guests. If you are looking for a fun, unique location, look no further! It was a night us and our guests will never forget!!!! - Denise & Joe

Our night was perfection! Pauly and his staff went above and beyond to make our reception what we were hoping. Our guests are continually calling and telling us it was the best reception they have ever been to. Can’t stop thinking about it and wish we could do it again exactly as we had it! Very personalized and flexible. Super fun to work with too! We will never top the party we had at the old rock house

The entire day was perfect from beginning to end. My wife and I were so pleased with the communication of the entire Rock House team. From the amazing atmosphere, to the easy transition from ceremony to reception- they made our day as least stressful as possible. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure our guests were comfortable and even served our family tables ahead of releasing others. I even heard from one of my guests that she recently switched to a vegan diet and one of the staff members took it upon herself to go whip her up something that would fit her needs. Talk about A+++ service! We are so excited we were able to reserve this popular venue just in time for our perfect wedding. The food, exposed brick, bar staff, everyone involved was more than a pleasure to deal with.

I could not speak any higher of Pauly, Beth, or anyone else I encountered during this stressful time. They were always informative, on time with communication, and so very pleasant. We gave roughly a weeks notice for the event, but the staff was up to the challenge. They not only delivered on what we agreed upon, but they went above our expectations. The personal service was friendly and responsive. I highly recommend this beautifully restored, historic venue.

From start to finish, ORH was an absolute dream. We have been told by dozens upon dozens of guests that this was the best wedding reception they've ever been to. The stage was perfect to house our live band, which was 13 pieces. The food we served was all cooked and prepared in-house, and was incredible. People are still talking about it. The outdoor patio is great for guests who need to get some fresh air. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and allowed us to go all out with floral centerpieces. They clean the venue the day-of so thoroughly - power washing the patio, re-painting the walls, mopping the floors, etc, until it sparkles. The elusive yet historic spot is a perfect venue if you want a fun reception. We wanted a place that would reflect our personalities and give us a perfect atmosphere for a giant dance party, and we hit both birds with ORH.

From start to finish, ORH was an absolute dream. We have been told by dozens upon dozens of guests that this was the best wedding reception they've ever been to. The stage was perfect to house our live band, which was 13 pieces. The food we served was all cooked and prepared in-house, and was incredible. People are still talking about it. The outdoor patio is great for guests who need to get some fresh air. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and allowed us to go all out with floral centerpieces. They clean the venue the day-of so thoroughly - power washing the patio, re-painting the walls, mopping the floors, etc, until it sparkles. The elusive yet historic spot is a perfect venue if you want a fun reception. We wanted a place that would reflect our personalities and give us a perfect atmosphere for a giant dance party, and we hit both birds with ORH.

If you want a unique venue that has an awesome sound system, big dance floor and killer food - you found your spot! MY husband and I had our wedding reception here in October of 2016 (250 people). Everyone kept saying how awesome the food was and how much fun they had days if not weeks after our wedding. Pauly and Beth were awesome and super responsive. They were great to work with and were very realistic about costs and what could and could not be done. All food was made in house and they had a full staff working our wedding (servers walking around, bartenders, etc). I would recommend ORH for any event!

We still have people telling us how amazing our wedding was at The Old Rock House. Every detail was perfect, and we could not have asked for anything better. The venue is amazing, and Pauly’s food is phenomenal. Pauly and Beth were fantastic to work with. They made things so simple. If you’re thinking about this venue, book it. You will not be disappointed.

ORH has been a tremendous service partner for our company the past several years, and this year the event was held at a new location at Gallery400. The food was incredible (great call on the gumbo), decor & music very well done and people absolutely loved the venue and convenient location to Washington Ave in downtown St. Louis. Pauly and staff are The Best in town and I highly recommend the ORH team for your event as their professionalism, vision, and execution are second to none. The overall feedback from all levels within the company on the event was Excellent and we look forward to planning for next year!

Our reception at the Old Rock House was fantastic and exactly what we wanted. My husband and I didn't want a typical banquet reception, but still wanted to dance, drink, and have a good time with our family and friends. We loved the laid back bar feel, but the linens, lighting, and candles they provided made it seem a little more formal. I was going for a romantic backyard feel and the string lights hit the nail on the head! It was perfect! Everyone commented on how it was the best wedding they had been to. The food was amazing, the service was great- no one waited for a drink. Everyone had a blast dancing all night and we even ended up extending it because we were having so much fun! My husband and I didn't lift a finger or worry about a thing, we were allowed to enjoy ourselves and relax! Our guests loved the slideshow playing, the jumbo games, photobooth, firepits outside, and the DJ. They also commented on the balcony and just how neat the space was overall.. Jamie was an AWESOME DJ, he listened to our preferences and we had the best music, would HIGHLY recommend him. Pauly and Beth did a wonderful job accommodating and being flexible with my ideas. And it was so nice to not have to worry about set up or clean up, they do it all! Overall, we had the time of our lives at The Old Rock House! I wish we could live it all over again. If you want something unique, fun, and laid back you should definitely look into this place!!
