We held our wedding at the Old Rock House on 9/24/2022 our expectations were exceeded in every possible way!!! Old Rock House has always been my favorite venue, and I'd been wanting to get married there since long before I was even engaged. They were the first venue we toured, and we had no need to look at any other venues because we knew it was the perfect fit. From the beginning, Ashley and the rest of the ORH team were very organized and straightforward, while also being laid back and easy to work with. We were able to save on a wedding planner, because Ashley took care of pretty much every aspect - she did the seating chart, the decorations, the linens, and was very helpful in advising on timelines and all the small details. I am NOT a planner and was afraid this wedding would be so stressful, but she seriously made it SO easy and relaxed. The food (made in-house) was very solid, we went with BBQ and the buffet line moved smoothly and dinner was nice and quick, just like we wanted. HUGE shoutout to the bartenders - we received many comments about how great the cocktails were and that there was never a wait, even with 180 drinkers in the house. The atmosphere all night was LIT! The patio was the perfect place to socialize for those who weren't on the dance floor, complete with a Mirror photo booth (ordered through ORH) which was so much fun. The dance floor was truly unbeatable. We knew we wanted a live band for our wedding, and if you're looking to get a live band, then you absolutely cannot find a better stage and dance floor than ORH. The lighting was awesome, the sound was phenomenal, and the dance floor was the perfect size that it felt full but not at all overcrowded. I don't think I left the dance floor for more than 10 minutes because it was such a blast. After the band was done, they let us provide a 90 minute spotify playlist for the last part of the night. I cannot tell you how many people reached out to us afterwards to tell us how fun and unique the venue was. I know it was a night our guests will never forget, and I cannot thank the whole ORH team enough for making our special day so much better than we ever could have dreamed. I'm getting emotional just writing this review so I'll leave it at that - we love you ORH!!!! -

Our wedding was the party of a lifetime!
Everything about this venue was perfection from beginning to end. They were flexible, diligent. Everything they said would be done was done. They took my vision and not only nailed it but made it even better than I had imagined! Ashley, the coordinator, went above and beyond when I was overwhelmed. She secured decorations, rented me a donut wall, and even secured a last second Photo Booth when I had forgotten. Many people told me it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to, and I credit a lot of that to the venue staff and general vibe. Cannot recommend enough! -

Our experience with Old Rock House was absolute perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or better people to work with. Pauly and his team are supportive and flexible and took care of literally everything! Our guests have not stopped raving about the food and how much they loved the space. Nate and I really appreciated the private room downstairs where we got ready and could "take 5" when needed.
If you are lucky enough to find that the Old Rock House is available for your big day- book it- you will not be disappointed.

Katie Sent on 09/09/2018Book this venue ASAP!!! We visited many venues and booked this place immediately after the tour. It fit everything we were looking for and then some. The ORH has a fun, not-too-stuffy vibe, is located where people could Uber home or get a hotel (no need to leave early or worry about driving), is extremely memorable and unique, and offers easy planning (they provided the DJ, catering, ceremony, and decorating). It is NOT a wedding factory where you have to share your special day with 5 other newlyweds.
When we booked we got the entire venue for the entire day to ourselves which meant we had flexibility to design our day however we wanted. We are very laid back and loved Pauly's no-fuss approach and demeanor. He takes a lot of pride in what he does, and everyone loved him! If you are someone like me who thinks stressing out over the minute details that most people will not even notice is wasted energy, then Pauly is perfect.
The experience was so good that we actually had guests talking about planning another event at the ORH and having everyone pitch in because they liked it so much and wanted to come back! -

Sally Sent on 06/24/2018We had the wedding of our dreams at Old Rock House! We had a rock'n'roll feel to our wedding since attending concerts has been a big part of our relationship. Pauly and Beth at ORH were SO great - I had loads of questions for them since we planned everything ourselves and we moved to Arizona only 3 months before the big day. The food was unbelievable and everything went smoother than I could have ever imagined. If you are having a live band for your reception, you MUST check out ORH!!!!! THANK YOU ORH!!!!! (we'll post more pictures when receive them!) -

Denise Sent on 02/22/2018My husband and I got married in Mexico then had our at home reception at the Old Rock House. We could not be happier with our decision. The entire Old Rock House team set everything up for us and made it so easy. All we had to do was show up! Our guests are still telling us how amazing all the food was, too. Everything is made in house and so delicious. There was plenty of staff working so even if the bar got busy, there were others walking around to serve our guests. If you are looking for a fun, unique location, look no further! It was a night us and our guests will never forget!!!! - Denise & Joe

Beth Sent on 11/14/2017The Old Rock House was the perfect place for our daughter's wedding. It is a unique venue with a wonderful charm. We enjoyed working with Beth and Pauly. They were flexible and had great attention to detail. Pauly was very attentive to our daughter and son-in-law throughout the dinner and reception. He went the extra mile for us and truly cares about providing a great quality experience.

Amazing Venue and experience with some communication issues
Let me start this review off by saying this venue is amazing. A very unique location and the guest could not stop talking about how great the food was. Old Rock House offers inhouse catering, Bar service, & wait staff. The Venue: Exposed Brick with a touch of musical decor, not too much but enough for a nice accent. 3 Floors, Basement(Kitchen, Greenroom, & Offices), Main Floor (entrance, Bar, Dance floor, stage, & Patio) and Upstairs (Balcony & Bar). 2 large bars one located right as you walk in and 1 located upstairs with some small tables and couches to relax. We had about 150 people attend our reception, and there was plenty of room to move around and dance. We did not utilize there large outdoor patio which could hold more people. There is a balcony that overlooks the stage and dance floor. You can see the Arch from the windows. There is a "Green Room" downstairs where the wedding party was able to hang out and relax before being introduced without people seeing us, Also a backdoor entrance to sneak in. Bathrooms located on every floor. There are TVs located in several places so when the first dance and speeches were being given everyone could see no matter where they were. The venue was light up with our wedding colors and decorated nicely adding a huge wow factor when we walked in. Looking at the building from the outside was even amazing as all the windows were light up with our colors. The only downside is that there is no handicap accessibility for the upstairs, so any guests with mobility issues cannot get upstairs without walking. Food: Everyone loved the food, Smoked Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Smoked Turkey. The Meat served was on par with some of the best BBQ in STL. The Sides and Appetizers were delicious and they were very flexible with Dietary restrictions. Pauly is the main contact and Chef. He was willing to make anything we asked. He offers a menu but he will work with you to get everything you want. Service: Bar and Wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Some great people working there and they work efficiently. There was never and a long line at the bar. Staff was walking around Serving anyone that wanted something. The bar was fully stocked. we only had the basic open bar but all of the higher-end liquor was available for anyone to purchase. They got several different specialty drinks (Cider, Scotch, and wine) for us. Contact/Planning: This is where we had some issues. The main point of contact was slow to respond to emails (several Days) and several times the email would not address all of the questions that had been asked. When you meet in person the interactions are pleasant but some details get overlooked (take your own good notes). They are very willing to meet in person and let you visit the venue whenever you would like. Don't get me wrong they worked with us and accepted every request we had, but understanding our requests were being followed through with was hard to get. We also had an issue with communication about our specialty drinks that became apparent 2 days before the wedding. They were willing to work with us to figure out a solution and both sides could agree on. Final Verdict: Amazing venue, Delicious Food, Friendly Staff, and sketchy communication. If you are willing to just let Pauly do his thing with a little input everything will turn out amazing, beautiful, and exceed expectations. Be wary if you are wanting to control every part of the process. -
