We used this venue for a wedding and the experience from the first interaction through the end of the reception was nothing less than EXCEPTIONAL. If I had to describe the service and professionalism, I would describe it as WORLD CLASS. We really appreciated and enjoyed working with Michelle and the staff. The cost was reasonable and the food and drinks were delicious. They exceeded my high expectations. Well done.

While not a wedding, we did host my mom's 60th Bday Party at Old Hickory! (We previously hosted my niece's Sweet 16 Party in 2019). Michelle was wonderful in helping us understand the venue and think through the logistics of our plan for the evening and Robin was phenomenal as our day of venue manager. The space is beautiful and the event staff are wonderful. I feel like this place is a wonderful hidden gem in the area! Would definitely come back again for another family event or wedding!!

Hosting our reception at Old Hickory was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! The entire staff was so helpful, kind and proactive. Michelle and Diane were extremely helpful in each part of the planning process as well as on top of every day of detail. They were so thoughtful and brought us around to different photograph locations on their grounds as well as ensuring we were always well hydrated! The venue is gorgeous, well maintained and our guests had the best time. The whole event was a huge success. I cannot recommend enough! The all inclusive pricing was one of our favorite parts here and it made budgeting and planning for our number of guests SO EASY!

This is was hands down one of the easiest and best decisions we have made regarding our wedding. This is such a beautiful venue from the club house to the golf course. We hosted our daughter's October 30th, 2021 wedding reception at Old Hickory Golf Club and could not be happier or more grateful for the wonderful experience. Michelle, Melissa, Diane - and everyone else associated with the event - were terrific to work with: kind, thoughtful, professional, attentive. We could not have asked for more. The many compliments we received regarding the food we happily pass along as well. Everything was delicious! Thank you for all that went into making our event seem like your most important one. We were made to feel very special.

You will never find a better venue. Straightforward pricing (no hidden fees), professional throughout. The day of they took care of everything, even the things I didn't know I needed. They were fantastic. Diane and Michelle are the real deal.

I got SO many compliments on the food and the wedding. The location was both convenient and beautiful. I want to get married again so O can hire them again.

We had our daughter’s wedding and reception at Old Hickory on 03/06/2020 and it was 5 star and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we first met with Michelle and toured the venue we knew this was the place and didn’t look any further. Michelle and Diane made things so easy from start to finish. The entire staff exudes customer service and made the day AMAZING! The location is beautiful and breathtaking and the food was phenomenal! Our family and friends are still raving about the venue, the food, the customer service and saying how elegant and organized everything was. I will be using this venue in the future for birthdays, anniversaries or special celebrations. Thanks Old Hickory team for making our only daughter’s wedding a dream come true!

We had the pleasure of working as photographers at Old Hickory Golf Club and we cannot say enough great things! The staff was amazing and super helpful in guiding us through a new city (we were destination photographers for this wedding). They were on top of their communication throughout the process and were prepared for the crazy weather turn we had. They treated us like family and we couldn't be more thankful. We look forward to the opportunity of working with them again and highly recommend!

The team at Old Hickory makes everything so easy! They are extremely responsive and flexible to be sure all the details are worked out to match your vision. They have the expertise to provide suggestions and are very accommodating. The day of coordinator was amazing and worked with our photographers to suggest best areas around the golf course to take shots. The venue is gorgeous and with their event planning team - you can't go wrong!

Our daughter's wedding was so beautiful! The food is excellent--we had many guests comment on how good the food is. Also, Michelle and her entire staff are professional and attentive. They were so helpful every step of the way--throughout the planning and especially on the day of. I was able to leave all the details to them and enjoy the day. I highly recommend them!

My daughter's wedding was on October 26, 2019 at Old Hickory. I can not say enough about the venue and staff. Michelle was our point of contact and she was extremely responsive, helpful and flexible with questions and requests we had. Diane, Michelle and Robin were there to make sure the day was perfect. They made sure we did not have to worry about a thing. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Michelle, Diane, and Robin were all fabulous to work with. Michelle is very responsive and quick to respond to any questions. Diane and Robin helped make the day go smooth. They all make sure you have everything you need and more. The venue was beautiful both inside and out.

Old Hickory golf club was amazing. My wedding went off without a hitch. Michelle worked with me on the menu and was more that happy to swap something due to allergies or accommodate us by letting us bring in some Kimchi and Kimbap. Diane, the day of coordinator, set up just like I imaged and kept us on time. We got some beautiful shots due to her. Our Bartender, Randy, kept the drinks flowing and more that happy to assist in anything. Our servers, Taylor, Enrique, Nikki, and Carlos, were on top of everything. The Chefs, Matt and Domingo, cooked a great meal that my guests enjoyed so much. My mom is a picky eater and she really enjoyed it. Robin, the supervisor, made sure I didn't need for anything.
The team at Old Hickory really made me feel like my wedding mattered to them. Everyone was very impressed with the venue and I'm very happy I picked them for both my ceremony and my reception.

My sister had her wedding here about a month ago (I helped with the planning massively). I honestly could not recommend a better venue. Aside from the gorgeous scenery, perfect lighting (especially during the day), ample parking, the best food (especially the chicken peanut skewers), beautiful buffet presentation (all the guests were so impressed with the food), the team there was AMAZING. To me the team is the most important factor when choosing a venue, they can really make or break an event and this this case they really really made it perfect. They were so helpful, responsive, always available before and during the wedding (I went a few times to test the music, speakers, discuss the layout (they were full of really helpful ideas), they were SO accommodating and calm and kept checking up on my sister and all the guests it was unbelievably helpful especially during such a stressful day and they honestly went above and beyond. I cannot stress how happy I was and the guests (and more importantly the bride and groom). Also they have beautiful spots to have photos taken (a massive patio, a cute mini bridge with a mini waterfall and lake, gazebo, and lots of greenery). I would highly recommend this venue based on location, value, and the team.

We could not have been happier with the choice to have our wedding at Old Hickory Golf Club. The first time we viewed the facility we knew that it had the look we wanted (and had the size to host our large wedding). When we eventually saw the venue fully set-up, we were blown away with how perfect everything looked. However, as great and as beautiful the venue was, we were even more blown away by the outstanding level of service that we received. Every interaction we had with the folks at Old Hickory demonstrated how helpful, flexible, and on top of things they were. Specifically we'd like to highlight Michelle and Diane. Every step of the way Michelle made things so so easy. She went out of her way to listen to and understand our requests to make them a reality, and ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams. It was some of the best service we have ever received and we cannot sing her praises enough. One specific example relates to our wine selection. Our families are huge wine drinkers and we had a number of special requests. Even though they were not part of the usual package, Michelle worked to get us what we needed and even got one of our favorite wines! Michelle was always there answer questions and to make sure things went smoothly, including suggesting some things she had seen that worked best in the past (many times things we didn't even think about yet!). It took out so much stress from the planning and day of knowing that we had someone as capable as Michelle making sure everything was going smoothly. Diane was there the day of the wedding and went above and beyond to help us, including driving us between two different picture sites since it was a little rainy. We were in such good hands with her! Finally, we have to mention the food. Oh my God the food. It was AMAZING. Our families, in addition to loving wine, love food, and they could not stop RAVING about how great it was, which is high praise indeed. Pick Old Hickory, you won't regret it!

We are business oweners, so we know a thing or two about customer service. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we so much appreciated their exceptional service! From the first time we met with Michelle Wang, and Diane to discuss prices (Michelle) and options (Diane/Michelle) (i.e., lay out of venue accessories, etc), we were always confident that we had picked the best place to host our dream wedding. We were thoroughly impressed with the personalized and courteous attention given to us throughout the months leading up to our wedding. If you're searching for an outstanding venue and people to work with, then do not look any further.

I just had my wedding at Old Hickory this past weekend and we are beyond impressed by how smoothly the staffs made it. I was so nervous since I have never planned an event before, let alone something this big and important. Michelle, Diane, and Robin were some of the coordinators that helped make the day run as smooth as possible! I was totally STRESS FREE the morning of my wedding. Even as I was getting ready they kept popping in asking if I needed anything. Always making sure we had a drink in our hands while taking photos and during the reception. The food was delicious and everyone complimented the food after! It was the best experience and I will definitely recommend this venue to everyone I know!

We had our wedding here in April. Everything went smoothly and was very organized. We couldn’t have done it without their help, especially Diane and Robin. They made sure we were taken care of on our special day. We had and amazing day and would definitely recommend choosing Old Hickory for your wedding!

Old Hickory was the perfect venue for our wedding! We met with Michelle a couple of times before the wedding and every time she was an absolute delight to work with. She was professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Diane, Old Hickory's day of wedding coordinator, was also pleasant to work with and highly organized. You can tell they have both been doing this for years. The waiters, waitresses, and bartenders at Old Hickory were simply fantastic. They were full of energy and enjoyable people to be around. Everyone really worked together like a well-oiled machine. Both the ceremony and wedding were flawless! We are so happy we chose Old Hickory as our venue and would highly recommend it to anyone for a wedding or any other event!

We had our wedding reception at old Hickory and It. Was. Perfect! Michelle was extremely responsive and helped to get all of contract needs together. Diane was our day of coordinater and was phenomenal! She made sure that we were fully taken care of. Making sure we had food and beverages all night. Randy and Robin were very good with assisting with setup and held it down on the bar olallnnight for our VERY thirsty bunch! Everyone took such great care of us and all of our guests. They've got a great team! Food was great, ambiance was perfect and facility was beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

I did not use them for a wedding, but for a surprise 50th birthday party luncheon. Michelle (banquet manager) was great to work with and the staff was very professional and accommodating. The setting was very beautiful, and my guests complimented the chef and staff on the yummy BBQ buffet lunch and drinks. I brought my own cake from Wegmans, and the staff put my large tall tapers on the cake and served it (along with a champagne toast). I also brought in my own projector and laptop to project a video collage during the event. The staff also helped me set up the room with my own hurricane lamp/candle centerpieces and custom mad lib game sheets at each table. A florist (Michael's Florist) had come by with some other floral arrangements and our balloon decorator (Nyea's Party) came with balloon pillars and bouquet. Overall, my experience was great, and I would definitely book another event at Old Hickory Golf Club again...

I can not say enough wonderful things about Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge and their amazing Staff for all they did to make my Daughters September 2, 2017 wedding the most amazing day for her. From the moment we met Michelle Wang and visited the venue we knew we had found the perfect place to celebrate our big day. Michelle and her staff are wonderful, always willing to answer questions and go the extra mile to accommodate you with special requests. The staff is professional and such a fun bunch of people to work with, they shared in our enthusiasm and went the extra mile in helping us pull off a few special surprises and it made for such a great experience. The food was delicious and we heard that comment echoed throughout the night by everyone. I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Old Hickory. Michelle and Diane were amazing and made planning and the day of everything I hoped for. Michelle was great for the many questions we had during the months coming up to the wedding and Diane helped with all the day of things. They both did more than I ever expected to make everything perfect.

The people at Old Hickory are hands down the best in the business. They were flexible to meet our every need leading up to our big day, as well as during the celebration. The hands-on personal service was more than we could have imagined. The service was one-of-a-kind compared to everywhere else we looked. Michelle, Diane, Robin, and Randy were top notch. The food was mouth-watering - not at all like the standard mediocre banquet meals you find at other venues. We would trust them with all of our special events.

We had our local wedding reception at Old Hickory this past March, and we had a great experience. The venue is beautiful, and the staff was fantastic. Michelle, our coordinator, was great to work with; she was knowledgeable, responsive, professional and friendly. She made the whole process a breeze. The staff were great the night of too. They were so friendly and a huge help by setting up all the tables and decorations. Their service was perfect, and the food was excellent. Also, huge shout-out to the bartender, who worked on his birthday the night of our reception. He went out of his way to make our night special and gave our guests awesome service. We all had a fantastic, memorable night, thanks to everyone at Old Hickory. We highly recommend this venue!

Best Wedding Ever! That was the feedback from all of our guests, and we have to agree. We planned a backyard wedding under a tent and when we saw all the permits, rentals, and costs, we decided to have the wedding at Old Hickory Golf Club instead. It was the best decision we made. Michelle and Dianne were amazing to work with and took care of everything. They have worked here for a long time, love what they do and do it well. (Other places I looked at had a lot of turnover - something you don't want during your wedding planning process!) They did an outstanding job. The food was fantastic!!!!! The wedding was well run. We had the rehearsal dinner the night before with everyone from out of town attending. Lots of fun, good food and they were great to work with. The groom and groomsmen loved playing golf before the rehearsal and the groom birdied the 18th hole. The weekend could not have gone better - and as parents of the bride, we got to enjoy the day with no worries. It was a good value and it was nice that the price was all inclusive. No surprises. There was also a rain plan for the service - but we didn't need it. Girls had fun dressing there before wedding. Very professional. Beautiful setting. Great photos. Nice dance floor and table layout. They were flexible with table sizes.

I was the maid of honor for my best friends wedding October 2015. I was looped in to all of the planning and setting up the day before the big day. First off, the staff were super accommodating and responsive. Michele helped with questions quickly and professionally. Diane was critical support the day of. She helped keep everyone on time and tame unruly guests (surprising how much you need this). They helped cover details like give the bride groom 10-15 minutes to eat in peace. All of the staff was friendly and the bartenders pour stiff drinks, yay!
The venue is really beautiful especially with the new hardwood floors and the food was delicious and consistent, especially for a party of 200+.

We had such a wonderfully positive experience at Old Hickory. The staff bent over backwards to make the day special - from suggestions beforehand to taking drinks out to the wedding party as they were being taken around to the many beautiful outdoor picture taking spots, to meeting the special dietary needs of several guests. We could all relax and enjoy the day knowing everything was in good hands. The venue was beautiful, the balcony allowed guests a quiet conversation area, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend Old Hickory as a great reception venue.

We had our wedding 10-3-15. My husband and I were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. Michelle & Diana and the rest of the staff were nothing but helpful in the run up and during the course of our weekend-we couldn't praise them enough. As a wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The food was out of this world all of our guests commented on the quality of food on offer & the bartenders were great! The venue played a huge part in the success of our weekend and the amount of our guests who are still talking about your venue is testament to that. I highly recommend Old Hickory! Bride to be- YOU are in GOOD hands. The staff was amazing. They made my wedding so special they take care of everything for you. Diana will make sure you and your soon to be husband enjoy your food.. She is awesome!! ( trust me there is a reason why i mention this) you will see how quick your big day goes.. With the new hardwood floors the space is perfect.

I had the best day ever just a few days ago, as I celebrated my wedding with my friends and family at Old Hickory. The staff is wonderful. Michelle was a caring, polite and professional event planner. Our day-of coordinator, Diane, was the perfect mix of drill sergeant and concierge (just what is needed on the day-of). She made sure we were taken care from beginning to end, no request was too small. I appreciated the folks behind the bar and in the kitchen. A special mention should go to the chef, Domingo. He was so accommodating with the menu. Our guests went home raving about the food!

My husband and I are very grateful to old Hickory Golf club for their wonderful services on our wedding day. Old Hickory was the perfect place for us to hold our wedding. We lucked out on location and staff because everyone there is responsive, helpful, and so very nice. Michelle the wedding coordinator was helpful throughout the whole process-- from our last minute change to the venue to being there to make sure things ran smoothly the day of the wedding. The bridal coordinator Diane is also extremely helpful-- she made sure everyone knew what their roles were during our rehearsal, made sure me and my husband got to where we needed to be the day of, and helped make sure the entire place was set up the way it needed to be for the wedding. Seriously, the day could not have run smoother and I could not have asked for better help for the wedding day! Also, the food was amazing. People are still raving about how delicious everything was and said it was the best wedding meal they have ever had so kudos to the kitchen staff as well! Thank you guys for making our day absolutely wonderful and one that the both of us and our guests will never forget.

Words cannot express the gratitude my husband (Brandun) and I have for the Team at Old Hickory! This trio of accommodating Super heroines were nothing short of amazing and was just what the Dr. order for a nervous Bride.

Michelle was like “Wonder Woman,” using her “Lasso of Truth,” in honestly and patiently answering millions of my annoying “What If,” “Could We”, and “How Come” questions. God bless her candid sprit, because I know I was such a nuisance!

Diane was like “Bionic Women,” effortlessly using her “amplified hearing” to listen to the many woes and questions of the Wedding Party and guest, as well as utilizing her “strengthened right arm” to cradle items to and fro, all while exercising her “enhanced legs” to leap two floors in a single bound to cater to us (the panicky Bride and the fidgety Groom).

Robin was like “Invisible Woman,” as she rendered herself and staff wholly or partially “invisible,” in not disturbing the goings-on of the ceremony and/or reception as they moved about setting up our “Once Upon a Time” and breaking down, “The Happily Ever After” of our Fairy Tale Wedding.

The sequence of their labors ensured that our matrimony ran smooth like melted butter! We THANK them all for making certain that our SPECIAL day was SPECIAL!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Old Hickory Golf Club and had the best night celebrating with our family and friends. From the very first meeting with the coordinators Michelle and Diane to the day of our event, the entire Old Hickory staff was accommodating and professional. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and perfect for our 130+ guests. We were able to use the banquet room along with the bar and outdoor balcony during our event (the Potomac Nationals even set off fireworks near the end of our reception, which we were able to view from the balcony.) The bartenders were wonderful and the food was AMAZING!! Michelle and Diane, along with the rest of the staff at Old Hickory made sure that the bride and groom were treated like royalty the whole night. They assured me that they would take care of everything, and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom who would want to have the night of their lives, dancing and celebrating. We love Old Hickory!

We had the most amazing experience hosting our wedding at Old Hickory. We had both our ceremony and reception there and thank God we did. Everything went so smoothly thanks to the staff, Michelle and Diane! The planning process was so simple and even the chef Domingo worked with us to help us get a "Latino-style" dinner - which everyone LOVED. Michelle and Diane set up everything we brought in. They made my ceremony look absolutely gorgeous. They worked so well with all of our vendors. Diane made sure I got everything and anything I needed while the nerves were kicking in. I just have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. Before you even save the date go to Old Hickory and book it! You don't want to lose your chance :)

Old Hickory was the venue for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party for 100 people. Michelle was absolutely FABULOUS to work with and went far beyond the norm to make sure that we were accommodated in every way possible. Nothing was out of the question with Michelle. Even when I said that I was going to check another venue....Michelle remained extremely professional and told me to take my time to make a decision.....no sales pressure.....really appreciated that!!! When Michelle warned me that she would not be present for the event, I panicked. What???? If this happens to you ....no need to worry because she has an Amazing Staff!!! While I went into panic mode 2 hrs before the party, Robin and staff went beyond what was expected and helped us decorate, move tables..not move tables...LOL.....ANYTHING we needed. The party was lovely and even when we ran out of space in the car at the end of the night and my husband had to leave us to unload the car, the staff did to complain when we held them up from going home.
The entire staff is sooooooo professional. I still have people talking about the food...one month later. In fact someone had taken a pic and emailed me recently saying what he would not do for another plate....LOL!!! EVERYONE loved it.....chef is awesome. My mom does not impress easily but she cannot stop talking about the entire party from start to finish...much of the credit to the staff. In fact she wants to hold my nephew's college graduation there always the distance is not doable. If you decide to use this venue, you will not be disappointed.

My parents and I very much enjoyed working with Old Hickory. My mother chose them for the convenience of having the venue, food, and alcohol all included. Michelle was very patient and helpful through the process, working to accommodate my rather rigid schedule and not fazed by when we were demanding or flaky. She was very in-tune with people's styles of events, offering not only to show us the venue set up for a wedding, but one with a similar feel to mine.

Our wedding was large enough to take up two rooms -- both right next to each other, and with several large doors opening between them. Although Michelle (rightly) reassured my mother that the rooms would not feel disconnected, she also offered to take them off their hinges if that was what we wanted. She also offered to rent an outdoor heater, should we desire to use the veranda and should the weather be cold for the November wedding. We declined both of these offers, but she was also obliging in arranging to have garlands placed on the animal heads on the walls.

The food was delicious, and our guests commented on it afterwards. We got full meals for the tasting and got to see the full set-up for the plated hors d'oeuvres. We had a buffet and the light bar, both of which made our guests very happy. On the day-of, a wedding coordinator (whose name I do not remember) took care of the groom and myself -- making sure we had some of the appetizers from the cocktail hour, getting us food from the buffet, and keeping us supplied with both water and wine throughout the night.

Michelle and Diane are AMAZING! They answered every single question I had and where there to help at all time! They made my wedding go by smoothly! Even my guests were amazed with their service!

Our wedding was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful. Diane, Michelle, Troy and Matt were quick to answer questions and worked very diligently to bring to life the idea I had for decoration, and presentation for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had an outdoor wedding on site that was even better than I pictured. The food was AMAZING! Matt is a phenomenal chef! The filet was cooked perfect and I have never had a better crab cake in my life. The service was fast and they easily accommodated to our 160 guest. I got nothing but compliments from guests regarding our ceremony/reception site.

I think the best way to describe Old Hickory is WOW! What a lovely place to get married. I honestly could not be happier with the services they provided and I'm so happy we chose that venue to be married. I worked with Michelle and Diane and they were both very responsive and easy to work with. My family loved them as well. I'll honestly think of them every time I think of how amazing my wedding was. I think it's the little details that make a venue special. Their customer service gets an A+
Not only was the venue gorgeous, but the food was delicious. I had SO many compliments from my guests! The chicken was a big hit, and very tender. My guests also loved the appetizers, the crab cakes being a favorite. Michelle and Diane even made sure that the wedding party had appetizers (and brought them out to us) while we took photos on the green.
My bridesmaids and I spent a good majority of the day getting ready at Old Hickory, they provide a bridal suite area and large bathroom if you choose to have your makeup/hair done on site.
The ceremony was held outdoors on the patio, which was beautiful. It was also nice to know that if weather fails, there is a large veranda or an inside area to use as backup.
I could go on forever, but this place was amazing. Any bride who books at Old Hickory will be completely satisified. I couldn't be happier! Thank you for everything!

The venue is really pretty. The food was delicious: I had the coconut shrimp, chicken, and beef. The event manager was very helpful with all my questions by email, specially from 2 months before my wedding. They also have a nice discount if you book within the first week.

I would like to thank Ms. Charlyse Myhand and her staff for making my daughter’s wedding day a dream come true. When I was first directed to and contacted Old Hickory Golf Club, we had only three weeks to put everything together as my daughter and her fiancée made an unexpected decision to wed. I was very much stressed out until I met Charlyse.

My daughter, Schlita Dorsey Hall, is in the military and was not able to make any of the arrangements face to face, but she voiced her desires to me and her father, and Charlyse took the lead with wonderful suggestions, contacts for other services, etc., and began to make this day a successful reality for us.

From day one of walking into Old Hickory Golf Club, I knew this was the place to have this very special gathering. I also met Michelle Wang, who was very instrumental in encouraging me and calming my nerves about the upcoming event, and she arranged the food and beverages and menus. I was very blessed to be greeted with ”I know we can help you, and not to worry, you are going to have a great wedding day for your daughter”.

On the day of the wedding, August 22, Ms. Myhand kept us on schedule and that was not a easy task. The result was that we had an absolutely beautiful venue, and all of my guests had a great time! Everyone thought the food was delicious, and the wedding ceremony was breathtaking with the view of the golf course. My daughter realized her dream to be able to enter as a beautiful bride and be presented to her future husband, and to her family.

The table dressings, the matching colors, and all of the décor – linens, dining service, etc. was just awesome. All we needed to do was to add a floral arrangement to the table. Charlyse was very helpful in that regard as well, assisting the floral provider with suggestions and much encouragement.

Again, I would like to commend Ms. Charlyse Myhand and the staff at Olde Hickory for a job well done!

Charlyse and the rest of the team at Old Hickory were absolutely wonderful!! From the hors d'oeuvres, and cocktails, to the wonderful buffet, everything was perfect! They were even able to provide a gluten free meal for a guest and a last minute children's meal. They were amazing! Charlyse was a joy to work with!!! Thank you so much for making my daughter's wedding reception a huge success!

Audrey and her staff were great! The venue was set up perfectly and everyone was very professional! The food was great (better than it was at the tastings) and the service was great as well. We had both our ceremony and reception at Old Hickory and both were flawless, I would highly recommend this venue. After looking at many others, we wanted an outdoor ceremony and they had a great rain back up, which we ended up needing! Great value for the cost in the DC area!

Audrey was a dream to work with. She is very detail-oriented and her and her staff will do anything to make sure the bride and groom are taken care of. Coming from a type-A person, she is ON POINT! Amazing location, looks great in photos, flexible, and willing to do anything to please you. Their filet mignon and crabcakes were a HUGE hit!

I will strongly reccommend the Old Hickory Golf Club for any type of activity.

We actually had another site reserved for the wedding and reception. We came here very unhappy with our original choice. It was by far the best thing we could have done. THIS VENUE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. If you want an outdoor ceremony this is the place to have your wedding. The scenery was so beautiful and the golf course in the back ground was so elegant and modern. I believe that the ceremony site might have been the most beautiful part of my wedding. honestly. The service was great. The prices for northern VA were very reasonable especially since the venue is so beautiful that you don't have to spend a lot of money decorating. The food was amazing... I usually hate catered food, but the food was excellent. Everyone gave us compliments on the food, the drinks, and how beautiful the venue was. If you have a family with a lot of smokers this venue is perfect because there is a large patio right outside the reception room so they don't have to really leave the party to feed their habit. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing, the best at any wedding I have ever been to. So much that one of my bridesmaids is having her wedding at Old Hickory next fall. Audrey was so helpful, professional, responsible, etc. The entire staff was great. Not one of my guests was unhappy at any time, they all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The only thing i might add is this; a few of the guests got a second plate at the buffet and when they were clearing the tables their food was taken before they were done so I would suggest making sure that the attendants ask before taking anyones plates or making sure that they are obviously done. The entire hall and ceremony site looked so much better than i could have imagined and i didn't lift a finger. Amazing, Amazing job. I will really cherish all the great memories we have from there.

5 Stars!! The setting of Old Hickory is wonderful with many great photo spots. The facility itself is a great place for a wedding all around, as you can clearly see from their website. More importantly the staff is professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and great to work with. Audrey and the staff of Old Hickory were excellent and very accommodating! Audrey was great.. She helped us find nearly every vendor that we used, all of which were great! The whole staff went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way (they even constantly checked weather reports for rain and setup). As many know, wedding planning and the actual event itself can be very stressful and difficult. Audrey and the rest of the Old Hickory Staff helped us plan, coordinate, and keep things on schedule. Many places are pretty much done helping you the day of... not Old Hickory. Audrey, Erin, and staff stayed with us the entire time keeping everything in line and helping us relax and enjoy our day! The services offered are very well priced and they are excellent at working within your budget. The food is amazing!!! The chef, Matt, did an outstanding job! He even made a custom menu just for us. Most places have a very set menu and won’t deviate, or you have to hire an outside caterer. Matt did a great job building a wonderful menu on our budget. Oh, and did I mention that it was EXCELLENT? You can rest assured that Old Hickory will handle your wedding day as if it were their own.
When we arrived at Old Hickory we had no idea as to all of the things that we needed to do or how to get them done. Audrey went through the whole event with us and provided us with many needed tips and tricks. She was a great help!! As I mentioned earlier she even helped us find vendors (all of which were of the highest caliber). The entire event went off rather seamlessly due almost entirely to the staff of Old Hickory. I can not say enough good things about them. Audrey, Matt, Erin, and the rest of the Old Hickory are among the best in the industry in my honest opinion!

They provided the best service for our wedding. Everything went as planned and I was very happy with the way they handled everything. Thanks so much for making it a day to remember!

The staff here is exellent. We had a wonderful time working with them. Everytime we had a question we would shoot off an e-mail or a voicemail and we would get message/ call back within 2 days at the most. They were always friendly to talk to and very positive. We dropped everything for the reception off with a few directions the night before the wedding and the room looked beautiful when we arrived. They did a great job of setting everything up for us. They even made a sign saying "finally married" to put on the back of the golf cart when we drove around to take pictures. Then when the wedding party was waiting to be introduced they brought us a tray full of the appetizers so we would have something to eat. If I was ever thirsty and without a drink there seemed to magically be a staff member who walked up right then and asked if they could bring me a drink. Then whenever my cup got low they would refill it for me so I wouldn't have to ask. We had a buffet dinner but my husband and I never had to get up because they brought us plates of food as soon as the toasts were over. After the cake cutting, they brought over heated damp towels so we could clean up our sticky hands. All-in-all they did a great job making us feel comfortable and really went above and beyond. They made our day WONDERFUL!!!

I have to say a huge thank you to Michelle and Diane for all of their help. Old Hickory was amazing for our wedding because the atmosphere fit perfectly with our romantic theme, plus we were able to make the venue our own. The service was great all throughout the night and Diane made sure that my husband and I were taken care of the day of. Anything we needed she was right there ready to help.

Our wedding would not have been made possible without Michelle though. My husband and I got hit with a snag in our wedding planning when the venue we initially chose (I will not name names) pulled out on us and took our money with them. Michelle was there with our date available and held it for us while we took a few days to think about it (since at that point we had become super cautious). She was available for any questions I had and got back to me quickly.

Old Hickory Golf Club was simply amazing! Michelle and Diane were great to work with throughout the entire process of planning our wedding. I worked with Michelle throughout most of the year, and she was very responsive. I'm one of those brides who was very involved with the planning of our wedding, which meant at times I had a lot of questions. Michelle was very responsive any time I had questions, and believe me at times I had a lot. (I'm an inquisitive person by nature. ;-)). As our big day approached Michelle introduced me to Diane (Old Hickory's Day-of coordinator). Let me just say if I could use one word to describe Diane, I would say 'amazing'. Diane was able to help me see my vision come to life. Not only did she meet with me prior to the wedding to answer any last minute questions I had, she gave my family, the bridal party, my husband and I undivided attention. Diane made sure that we were well taken care of the day of our wedding. As I mentioned above, I was a very 'hands-on' bride, but with Diane and the Old Hickory staff around on the day-of - I was able to relax before the ceremony began. I received several compliments from the bridal party and family members that the staff at Old Hickory was amazing.

I also received a lot of feedback about the food. Let me just say it was great!!! A lot of our guest are still talking about the food today.

Overall, I can say that my experience with Old Hickory Golf Club was great! I would definitely recommend the venue to future brides. It's definitely a hidden gem within the Northern Virginia area. You get a great value for your money. Also, you are dealing with a staff that loves what they do. They are great to work with. If I could do everything all over again, I would go back to Old Hickory Golf Club without a doubt!

Audrey was absolutely AWESOME!! She was great to work with - answered all our questions, very responsive and extremely helpful. She provided suggestions on how we could improve our wedding and made our reception flow so smoothly. There were some issues that came up that day and Audrey took care of them without a hitch. She made our reception that much better and we would highly recommend Old Hickory as a beautiful reception site. Working with Old Hickory was easy. The entire staff was wonderful. The Venue was an excellent choice and we would recommend them anytime. The food was awesome and we'd like to have our wedding reception their all over again.

Old Hickory was wonderful! I was trilled on the day of the wedding how everything turned out perfect. The food was amazing even the vegetarian meals for some of my guests!! Everyone raved about how everything went so smoothly. Andrey and Michelle were so patient and helpful throughout the entire process.

We wanted this to be the "Cinderella wedding" our daughter had always wanted. Old Hickory provided that atmosphere.

The only drawback: Please make certain you let the staff know that they are not to take/touch/throw away any part of your cake/decorations if they say that you can keep everything there overnight to pick up the next day.

This is a beautiful venue with lots of pros. Since they are a mostly all-inclusive location it is best to break the review up by section. CEREMONY SPACE - The ceremony area can seat a large number of guests (we had 126). It is directly behind the club house so it is easily accessible from the parking lot and building. The space is directly on an East-West line which means you should check the lighting situation for your chosen date a year in advance (expect to book about a year in advance). For us on 6/22 a 5PM ceremony meant that the front couple rows as well as the wedding party were in direct sun so were quite warm, but the rest of the guests were in the shade. PICTURE SPACES - The venue has wedding albums of previous couples there for prospective clients to browse picture possibilities. However, in our experience most of the noted locations were not in the as-shown state (e.g., brush not cut back, water features not flowing, etc.). This wasn’t a huge deal for us as most of the cocktail hour pictures were family shoots near the ceremony space. Also to get to 95% of these shown locations everyone who has to be in the photos as well as the photographers need to get in golf carts and drive to the location(s). This would be quite the production for a group of more than 4 people. The back wall by the ceremony area is fairly photogenic though and made a good backdrop for our main photos. FOOD - The food here is overall very good! However, we learned that selection is key. Pre-COVID they would do a full menu tasting with all couples for the year at once. Now it is done with a group of 5ish couples and a partial menu tasting. This leads to some guesswork about what will be good to serve. Of specific note: the Lomo Saltado was delicious and tender, the Gouda Mac N Cheese was yummy, the Atlantic Salmon was what everyone kept raving about, the Chicken Cordon Bleu was overly bready and dry, the Rosemary Potatoes were overly salty, and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts were far more steamed than roasted. Of the passed appetizers we were able to try, the Baked Sweet Onion, Fig, And Brie Tarts were a standout hit. RECEPTION SPACE - The ballroom was spacious and didn’t feel overly crowded with tables for 126 including a sweetheart table, cake table, and DJ space. There was plenty of room for the dance floor and the open area of the bar / cocktail room was a nice expansion area. The back deck was spacious too, but in late June it was a bit hot for comfort. It was nice during planning to know that the back deck could serve as our ceremony space in case of rain. STAFF - The staff at OHGC were great. Servers were efficient and the kitchen staff timely. Michelle was prompt to answer all of our various questions via email (of which we had MANY in the months leading up to our wedding). Robin at the bar and her husband are the ones who keep the place running smoothly. She read our wedding plan and was able to help get a lot of particulars sorted, especially table layout and specialty tables. She continuously checked in on us throughout the night and sent us off with champagne and electrolyte drinks when we left. GENERAL - We also liked that they were amenable to us visiting to look around during weekdays and weekends and think through some of our various ideas in person. Also, we were able to set up Friday afternoon for a Saturday evening wedding, as well as leave our stuff overnight to pick up on Sunday.

Audrey was great and very helpful. The only thing I was taken back by was the unexpecting request to pay additional cost for helping to set up. I figured with the amount we were paying it was included. Especially since it was communicated that it was. I ended up getting my friends to come in and assist. The venue was wonderful and the staff were very professional. I did not have one complaint the night of our wedding. It was flawless.

If possible, maybe work on the air conditioning. The only complaint from any of my guests was that it was really hot. Other than that, great service, great food and Audrey was fantastic!

Everyone at our event has a wonderful time it was definately a 5 star event in every area.
