Professional, Quality, & Amazing Service

What can we say about Old Hickory Golf Club and our wedding coordinator? Simply put, they were amazing! 💕

From day one when we went to the venue to meet Julie, who ended up being our wedding coordinator, to just look and ask questions on the options provided, we were put at ease and not pressured! Julie really know her stuff when it comes to ask the offerings. If she didn't have a solid answer, she got it for us within the business day. The grounds are beautifully kept. We opted for a lakeside wedding, but Mother Nature had other plans that day, so we decided at rehearsal to just be inside. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. We did get some amazing pictures as the day went on. We were even blessed with a double rainbow for some wonderful pictures! Options offered were potential and reasonably priced. Such a great group of people to work with, too!

Julie definitely knows what she's doing and walked us through all we needed to know about how the day would go, hiccups on our part included! She stayed amazingly calm when my son was late to walk me down the aisle due to traffic. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, coordinator, or venue! 💕🤘💕🥂💕💍💕

Old Hickory was incredible!

Old Hickory was incredible! The ceremony location and the event space for our reception were absolutely beautiful and Brittany was the best! From our first consultation all the way through to the day of the wedding she and everyone at Old Hickory took care of everything for us. The did absolutely all of the setup and made sure everything ran smoothly. They took all of the stress out of it and let us really be able to enjoy our day! We couldn't believe the price for the service we got. Given how great the food was and how they treated us throughout the whole process they should cost ten times what they do. We were very happy with everything and we will be recommending Old Hickory to everyone we know!

great venue!

Despite the unexpected crappy weather we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Jen was great to work with, answered all of our stupid overthinking questions with great professionalism and ease of experience; we felt very comfortable talking with her. She worked within our budget and we were able to add things at the last minute without any true issues.

Old Hickory did an outstanding job hosting my daughter's wedding this past June. Jen, the wedding coordinator, was amazing--very friendly, professional, organized and very responsive! She was wonderful to work with and made the event seamless. The venue was beautiful, set exactly as planned! The food was delicious and they gave our guests generous portions. I cannot say enough great things about this wedding. Even our guests were making comments to us of how wonderful everything was. I would highly recommend this venue to all perspective brides!

We had our ceremony here at the outdoor tree location and it was absolutely beautiful! We worked with Veronica and she was so helpful and did everything she could to make us happy! We couldn't imagine having our ceremony anywhere else!!! Also our pictures at our ceremony location are some of our best!

Three weeks after our daughter's wedding reception we are still getting wonderful compliments on our venue selection. Veronica was extremely helpful from the planning process through the reception. They provide a food tasting to select your menu and the reception food was every bit as good as the tasting. As far as the set up, they do it all. All you have to do is deliver whatever decorations you want and they will have it ready as you like. The happy hour on the balcony overlooking the lake was a hit. And when guests went inside for the bridal party to arrive, they were amazed at how amazing it looked. There was a another reception next door, but we didn't hear a thing from that room. We had lots of compliments on the bar service. Great selection and no lines. Definitely a top notch wedding reception venue and I feel we got a great value. I would suggest to book early and definitely consider the chair covers

We couldn't have asked for a better venue! Jen was amazing from the very beginning. She made everything so easy, and she made sure we got everything we wanted on our big day. I had quite a bit of decorations and things to bring in, and Jen and Melissa made sure everything was perfect. Everything looked absolutely amazing and exactly like I wanted. The service was impeccable in every way. On top of that, the food was amazing! Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how good all of the food was. I would highly recommend Old Hickory for its beautiful scenery, excellent service and amazing food!

My daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held at Old Hickory Golf Club and it was wonderful. The facility is beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff exceptional. We didn't have to lift a finger and were able to enjoy the evening without care. I highly recommend this venue!

Extremely good place to host a wedding reception. You can't beat the view of the golf course at sunset! The staff is extremely friendly and the food is great!

We used Old Hickory for our reception. Jen was wonderful to work with. She was very organized and made suggestions that made the evening better than what we could have hoped for. She kept a list of all of the vendors and contacted them before the event to ensure that everything was in order. The service that evening was superb. A plated dinner was served to 73 guests and everyone was eating at the same time. It was done with such ease. The price was very reasonable for an upscale presentation!

We had our wedding reception t Old Hickory and couldn't have been more pleased. The venue was beautiful and Jen and Katie were wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments about both the great quality and the large portion size of the food. We had many unique requests for our reception, and they accommodated each one, helping to make our reception very special. We would highly recommend this venue for anyone planning to get married.

What a wonderful place old Hickory was to have a wedding at. The staff at Old Hickory was great, and friendly. They were very professional and asked us if we need anything to drink. They did a great job on decorating. Jen did a awesome job on the everything. The food was fantastic and our quests really loved the food. thank you for everything and making our wedding day very special.

WOW! We could not have been more pleased with the service we received from the Old Hickory staff. Not only is the location just beautiful in itself but they really helped incorporate all of our ideas and made the entire reception go off without a hitch. The staff was a pleasure to work with prior to our wedding as well as we feel went above and beyond to ensure our wedding reception was flawless. I just love to look at the pictures of the beautiful room they helped us create. We received so many compliments from our guests on the gorgeous location and decor. Old Hickory did an amazing job and I feel very comfortable recommending them!!

Entire staff was wonderful to work with. Only had ceremony there, but they were all very helpful and made everything run like clockwork. Everyone commented on the lovely site by the golf course near the trees. Definitely recommend Jen and her staff.

Old Hickory was a beautiful place where not much decoration is needed because it is so helpful. They have a wedding planner that works with you to have everything set up and decorated for that night. The food was delicious and I had many people comment on that.

We could not have asked for a more wonderful reception venue. The staff was amazing, the food was incredible and the atmosphere is unlike any other. Our night would not have been the same if it wasn't for Old Hickory.

The venue was perfect we had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The staff were easy to work with and flexible with adjustments. They helped set up parts of our decor. The value was incredible! The golf course was perfect for photos. They even offered golf carts to move our guests! We were thrilled with this venue.

Old Hickory was an absolutely beautiful venue and the staff made our Wedding Day extremely special. The team was great to work with and had experience with wedding and event planning. They were quick to answer my questions and open to discussing different requests and options. With their experience, I think some of the staff may have been stuck in their ways, but were willing to make changes upon request. The food was wonderful. The staff made my pate for me as we went through the buffet line and they were always checking to make sure my husband and I were getting everything we wanted. Our drinks never went empty that night!

We had our rehearsal dinner here, and we would highly recommend it! Our food was outstanding and the service was impeccable! Our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was and what a beautiful venue. The wait staff and bartender was polite and friendly! We did not have an issue with them what so ever we even had a last minute add and they were happy to accomodate and I was able to drop off gifts for the wedding party and family before hand and they had them set up on a table and organized for us before we even got there. They were able to provide a few highchairs for our youngest guests as well! Overall wonderful experience!

Olf Hickory was awesome for my reception. We had the Azelea Room which had it's own cocktail/bar area seperate from the actual reception room. Jennifer Connely Was wonderful as our placcer. She had great ideas and worked with my ideas for a perfect evening. The food was phenominal. Everyone said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. It was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful too. We had a larger dance floor installed which was a beautiful hardwood floor and it looked great. I highly reccommend Olf hickory for and gathering. It was spectacular.

I was so happy with everything from Old Hickory! Their food was amazing, they made the venue look lovely and beyond what I ever expected. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful it was. I'm extremely happy with the service we received. The food was outstanding. We had 3 choices that guests chose on their RSVP cards (Filet mignon, chicken modiga, and tomato basil risotto stuffed bell peppers). Everything was amazing. The filets were so tender you were able to cut them with a butter knife. I was beyond impressed. We even had a fully stocked bar that was filled with skilled bartenders. I will definitely recommend Old Hickory to others!!

I had a beautiful wedding at Old Hickory! My coordinator Valerie was wonderful she was there to answer all of my questions and she was always patient with me when I had a few very last minute changes. I had a troublesome photographer and I was off to a terrible start and Val stepped right in and stood up for me and helped me tremendously. The food was delicious and moist. We had a wonderful slide show playing after dinner and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Our ceremony was at old hickory too. It was just what I wAnted! It was supposed to storm during my ceremony and I was just crushed by the idea of having inside but everyone made me so comfortable and when I reluctantly gave my okay to have it inside they could see the sadness on my face and decided to have outside either way!! It made my day and we never got a sole drop of rain until the reception. Thank you Old Hickory for everything!

Old Hickory is a beautiful location and the food was amazing. We were so happy with the overall experience and received a ton of compliments from our guests. Everyone was so impressed with the room (Azalea with the separate bar area) and thought we spent a lot more than we actually did.
There were a few issues but for the most part they were overshadowed by other positive things they did. For example, the bar ran out of Bud Select (guess our guests really enjoyed themselves!) but they saved the last few for my hubby since they knew that was his drink of choice, they didn't have Bud Light Lime but always had Bud Light with lime slices handy for our groomsman who inquired about the beer choice, and as a bride who had to cut off a guest who had one too many the bartender did not tell that guest that I had specifically requested he no longer be served but just didn't serve him any more. Very appreciative since he was not happy about being cut off!
The food was amazing but the salad could have been a little better (skimpy without much dressing but it might of just been mine since everyone else thought it was very good!). But I was so appreciative of the employee who held my plate when I got food and brought it back to the table so I could handle my dress more easily! And when we got pulled away for a sunset picture on the green right after getting our food, the employees took our plates to the warmer so they wouldn't get cold while we were gone! So thoughtful!
The room was so beautiful and everything turned out perfectly with the larger dance floor and the table runners we chose. They set up our table assignment board and added a few extra items to the room as well.
My biggest complaint would be the miscommunication or lack of information they gave us. We were always told there was a room minimum but there was never a clarification that it was actually a food/beverage minimum. Even when we discussed the per person cost and how to minimize it. Also, we were given different prices to upgrade the dance floor to the larger size. Very frustrating. (As a side note, there is absolutely no way the standard dance floor would have worked for our wedding...about 175 guests. We had the larger dance floor and still had it packed most of the night. Probably the biggest downfall of Old Hickory.....but we figured everything else it offered more than made up for it)
Overall, Old Hickory was the perfect choice for our reception and we loved every minute of it. Our pictures from around the clubhouse and greens are so BEAUTIFUL! Everyone was always very nice and worked with us even when an issue came up. I would definitely recommend them!!

My wedding was alright. My wedding coordinator all of a sudden stopped returning my emails. Turns out she no longer worked there, but the new girl seemed nice and helpful, made me feel like I didnt have to do a lot of the planning. It rained on the wedding day so I did not get to have my ceremony on the course, I had to use my reception room. My meal was not what I had chosen at my tasting. The chicken turned out dry and without any sauce (which should have had sauce). Guests needing a refill of waters were being passed by the servers, other servers were on their phones. When I arrived the morning of my wedding (ceremony to being at 11am) my room was not set up and my family members ended up decorating the tables. What I had the most problems with was the logistics of the banquet captain/staff/team. If my contract says I get my room from 11am-4pm, then the room should be set up by then. We had to move my ceremony in there, and guests were arriving by 10:30am, means you shove all the workers you have into that room to get it ready so you are not still in set up mode while guests sit there waiting for the ceremony. There were two other banquet rooms all decorated for their events, which were supposed to begin that EVENING (not at 11am, like mine). Logistics, needs help. Otherwise, it was a pretty facility, and usually their food is amazing. Not sure what happened with my meal.

The wonderful location and beautiful scenery is what got us hooked on Old Hickory Golf Club. Most of the staff were very professional and offered wonderful service, such as the bartenders and the servers. Unfortunately, there were some instances that knocked down the number of stars all the way around. The food was delicious and presented very nicely, although after the fact we were informed that some tables were not served cake or were served double salads. Miraculously, before we left we were told that we had NO cake left (even though apparently not everyone was served and not everyone showed who was expected). As the bride, I was certainly disappointed as I hadn't even had a chance to eat my piece of cake before it was thrown away...and then to be told there was none left was a bit frustrating! Our ceremony location was down at the trees---it was beautiful! Only complaint there is that we had to round up golf carts on our own to get our wedding party down there and also for the elderly to move them up to the reception location following the wedding---we were told these would be ready for us NOT that we would have to go find our own! Another disappointment was the slide show we were told we could play during dinner which we brought in the week before to test out and at that time it worked just fine. We spent countless hours going through albums, scanning pictures, and picking music to make the slide show and when it came to the day of their equipment did not work. Of course they said it was our DVD, but we had brought a back-up...go figure when that one didn't work either, but both worked just fine in the lap top they ended up being played on in the lobby. I do offer thanks for the idea of putting a lap top in the lobby area and for the use of the lap top, and the extra hour given on the open bar due to these difficulties. Unfortunately, in the professionalism area, only 2 stars were given for the fact that staff members were overheard (by our guests) complaining of how 'difficult' we were being! I can't think of a much worse way to show your professionalism (or lack-there-of) than that! Overall, considering the cost it was a bit disappointing, BUT we will not let that take away from all the happy moments of our wedding day. By no means did we expect everything to go perfectly, but we did have high expectations than what we got.

They Changed a lot of things over the planning time. My food was served cold, My cake was serverd to the wrong wedding guest, our cake went to the reception down the hall. Their A/C was not able to keep the room cool for my wedding party of 225 people. Not all of the decorations were put up.

I would strongly suggest you stay far away from this venue. Beautiful...YES...Professionalism...None at all! Our wedding day was perfect because we allowed it to be but if Cassy (the Coordinator at Old Hickory) had it her way she would have ruined every last minute of it. It all started with them trying to over charge us $3000 two weeks before the wedding and attempt to rush the billing process in hopes that we wouldn't catch it. But I did and when I confronted her about it she told me I needed to atleast meet her in the middle...Why?? We had already agreed upon the pricing and it was in black and white on their menus. Strike 1!!! Then, after getting her General Manager involved and getting the price that we agreed upon, came the actual day before the wedding day. We used an outside company for chairs because they were $2.75 per chair cheaper than what Old Hickory was offering. On the day before the wedding the groom and several of the groomsmen went up to Old Hickory to setup the chairs. My now husband went inside to seek some direction from Cassy, the coordinator, as to where we should start the chairs and what direction they should face... She told him "Down there between the trees... Have fun!". When I arrived for the Rehearsal I thought it looked wrong so I went inside and confronted Cassy asking her yet again for some direction. She got in a golf cart and drove down to the ceremony site and said that the chairs were all set up and facing the wrong direction, which never would have happened if she came out there in the first place when my husband asked for her help. Strike 2!!! On the day of the wedding my bridesmaids and I showed up to get ready in the locker room before pictures. She told us that the small room off of the locker room was our room for the whole night and that when we leave we could pull the door shut and leave all of our things in there. After the ceremony was over a few of my bridesmaids went down there to freshen up only to find none of our things were in there anymore. I asked Cassy where our stuff was and she informed me that they had moved it all under the head table (in the dark banquet room... I guess we were suppose to rummage under the table for fresh deodorant and my maid of honor's speech). Strike 3!!! The icing on the cake figuratively speaking was as my new husband and I were waiting to be announced at our reception... I can hear Cassy and her assistant not 10 feet away from us talking about how big of a B***H, I am and how terrible we are and what's the big deal about putting our stuff under the table!!! 3 strikes your out and this makes 4 stirkes...Don't use this venue if you are looking for your wedding day to contain professionalism!!

Old Hickory is a beautiful place for a wedding. But, they don't exactly live up to their expectations. My wedding reception was during a storm, and the power went out during the last hour and a half. I was upset because my guests all left, and the only music we got in was the first couple of dances. Old Hickory wasn't willing to do anything about this, and didn't even apologize. All they said was "there's nothing we can do." Talk about a nightmare. Then, there was leftover cake from our wedding that got thrown out after my coordinator told me that it was being saved. I should have had at least 30 pieces of cake left, and she denies that it was thrown away, and claims it was all gone. Everything before the big day went okay with Old Hickory. But, on the most important day, they let too many bad things happen. The food tasted great, but I didn't really feel like I had time to eat. My wedding coordinator rushed us through the whole thing, and didn't really listen to what I wanted during the day. I was told that the manager would follow up with me, and he still hasn't. I didn't let this experience ruin my beautful day, but I am very unhappy with my experience, and I would not recommend this place.
