Beautiful classic design on the cake, which was also great-tasting. They incorporated flowers from our florist as well as an elegant, understated frosting pattern. They offered good strategies for incorporating a gluten free cake as well as sheet cakes to feed additional guests.

I can't say it enough how WONDERFUL Ohlson's Bakery was to work with. She made a beautiful cake at an amazing price, it was also the MOST delicious cake we tasted during our wedding tastings. She even took my swatches to match the flowers on the cake! She was kind, professional and an overall pleasure to work with! She even let me use my grandmother's cake topper and built a base for it so it would fit perfectly on top! The best part, they will bake you a FRESH anniversary cake when it is your one year, so you don't have to defrost and eat a frost bit cake! I would HIGHLY recommend them if you want a memorable and remarkable cake on you wedding. My guests all kept raving about how moist and yummy the cake was!

The fake flowers made out of sugar and other edible stuff looked real! The colors matched my wedding colors, and wedding flowers, it was gorgeous! It also tasted amazing! Was buttercream with vanilla Raspberry marble.
I got their assorted mini pastry tray, a couple assorted butter cookie trays ( which are totally addicting by the way) and 3 of their Terimesu's! Tarimesu is my favorite dessert! I paid an extra 50 to have them drop it off at the wedding venue for me. Was all perfect and reasonably priced!

Ohlson's Bakery was great to work with and the final product was exactly like pictures/ideas of what we wanted the cake to look like. Due to the pandemic we ended up having two very small wedding receptions and Ohlson's was able to make some last minute changes to our order and create two identical wedding cakes. Not only were they both beautiful, but they were also delicious !!

I had heard nothing but positive reviews from Ohlson's Bakery, yet somehow they were able to exceed my expectations for our wedding cake. They were able to create a cake that not only looked amazing but also tasted as good as it looked. They were able to take all of my design wishes and turn them into reality and I could not have asked for a better experience working with them. Their delivery was timely and professional as well, and they took care of everything on the day of the wedding, eliminating all of my worries. We would highly recommend Ohlson's Bakery for weddings or any special occasion.

You pretty much can't go wrong with Ohlson's -- they're a household name around town, and we decided to go with them for our wedding cake. Make sure you stop by and have lunch when you make your appointment (it's worth it), and they're so helpful with decor ideas. We went with a three-tier almond-raspberry, and our guests are still talking about it. Highly recommend!

My wedding cake
Ohlsons did a fantastic job creating my wedding cake to be exactly as I wanted! Lisa listened to the ideas that I had, and I sent her photos as well. The taste of the different layers of cake was delicious! They worked with me to combine different cake types and frosting for the layers. The design of my cake was exactly what I wanted! The most beautiful AND delicious wedding cake EVER!
The title says it all! I can't say how many people came up to me telling me that this was one of the most delicious wedding cakes they'd ever had, and not to mention the cake it self looked gorgeous! usually you get one of the other, but not with Ohlson's. Great tasting cake - looked great too!
Cake tasting was the appointment that everyone wanted to attend. We showed up at Ohlson's with 6 people in tow and they didn't bat an eye at letting them all taste with us. We tasted a few cakes around Buffalo, and this cake base was definitely the best - moist, fresh, and delicious! Lisa was great to work with, suggesting designs for us to react to, and being flexible when we asked for changes. Everything was delivered to the venue with no issue (as far as we know!) and it's a nice touch that they give you a free cake on your one year anniversary so you don't have to keep the top layer in your freezer! I highly recommend hiring Lisa and Ohlson's for your big day!

Our cake created by Ohlson's was exactly what we wanted. The staff was extremely patient and helped create a cake we would love to eat over and over again. The moment we stepped into Ohlson's bakery it felt like home. They are Christian based and it feels like a small town bakery/cafe. We had a wonderful little cake tasting and there are replicas of cakes to choose from and an ipad with so many cake decorating ideas! We love the 300 series because it fit perfectly in our budget. They were even able to customize our cake and mix and match within that series. We loved our cake: it was beautiful and delicious. We picked the almond cake. We had ~110 wedding guests and there was more than enough cake for them with the whole top left over! The cake could definitely feed 130 guests as advertised.

Delicious and beautiful wedding cake
We hired Ohlson's Bakery for our October Wedding. We purchased a 3 tier display cake, 2 sheet cakes and a package of gluten free cupcakes. We also did a birthday cake for a guest of ours who was celebrating a birthday on our wedding day. From the first tasting to the delivery, everything with Ohlson's was perfect. But, most importantly, the cakes were DELICIOUS! Our guests raved about the cake all night and our guests with dietary restrictions were absolutely ecstatic to be included with the gluten free cupcakes. Ohlson’s was fantastic to work with! Neither I nor my husband really like cake so we wanted something rather inexpensive and we were also having a small wedding so we didn’t need a huge cake. However, after we tasted Ohlson’s we were totally blown away! They ended up being the first and last place we visited because we knew we wouldn’t find anywhere better. Our cake turned out beautiful and still didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We are definitely going to give them more of our business for future events!

We did the 300 series for our wedding- 3 tiers for 350. We then added a few sheets for extra cake to be cut in the back. It worked out great. We had a beautiful tiered cake at a great price. We had the raspberry marble with buttercream icing, it’s fantastic! I first tried the cake at a bridal expo and knew I had to have it. We had a cake tasting and placed our order the same day! The manager let me leave some details blank until a later date because I didn’t know which colors I wanted to use just yet. She was great about it! The cake was delivered on time and looked flawless. The florist placed fresh flowers on the cake. Everything about Ohlson’s is great. They have so many other pastries and desserts at their bakery and even a cafe where we had lunch on our visit to drop off the cake topper and it was delicious!!!! I highly recommend Ohlsons for their affordability, great service, and delicious cakes!

When we first started shopping for wedding cakes, we first went to another bakery that had great reviews yet we were horribly disappointed. Ohlson's was next on our lisa. We were so glad the first place turned out to be a waste if time because it led us to Ohlson's. This place was amazing! Even the deserts in the case looked so polished and tasted even better. We sat with Lisa and she was wonderful!! We showed her pictures and discussed our ideas and she helped us come up with the most beautiful and best tasting wedding cake!! Our guests RAVED about the cake. My sister, who works weddings and banquets in another state, said it was the best cake she has ever had! They make their cakes fresh and you can tell by the taste. Lisa has done so many weddings and really knows how to help you find what you are looking for in terms of cake size and style. We had a somewhat small wedding with 90 guests, so she recommended her "300 series" right off the bat and it looked absolutely gorgeous. You can show her your dress or other decorations and she will help match your style! We got 2 layers of chocolate marble and one layer of almond, and got tons of compliments. Plus they send a complimentary anniversary cake, too!

We bought a cake in the "300 Series" and it did not disappoint! Not only was it cost effective, several of our guests stated that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! We had a mix of white almond and raspberry. They were also able to provide a small gluten free cake on the side! I would highly recommend!

Ohlson's Bakery was a wonderful option for a gluten-free bride. They matched the color of my cake to my dress and created a lace-like icing pattern to match it as well. There were so many options to choose from for the regular cake, and they offered either vanilla or chocolate gluten free cake with any kind of filling. We chose to do a chocolate gluten free cutting cake with raspberry filling and a regular marble cake with raspberry filling for the rest of the guests. Everyone thought that the cakes were beautiful and delicious.

Our cake was amazing!! SO many of our guests told us how great it was and wanted the name of the bakery!! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding cake and the prices were extremely reasonable as well!

Love Ohlson's! We first were introduced at a bridal show in Buffalo, and were sold immediately with the delicious almond flavored cake/frosting. We initially had booked with another bakery, but could not be happier that "deal" fell through! While our first bakery showed subpar customer service and responsiveness, Ohlson's FAR exceeded our expectation. As we live out of town, scheduling meetings for visits home can be a bit difficult; this was not so for Ohlson's. Lisa was incredibly responsive and accommodating in meeting with us, and we fell in love with Ohlson's upon our first visit. Most important to note, the cake was SUPERB. Our families and guests have given us endless compliments about our wedding cake, all of which we owe to Ohlson's. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

They did an amazing job making the cake exactly as we wanted and I am excited for our one year anniversary for our anniversary cake that was included in the cost of the cake for the big day!! We tasted about 5 cakes from different bakeries and Ohlson's was hands down the most moist, delicious, cake we ever had! When we sat down for our initial meeting, we were given as much time as needed. They have a back room where you meet. In the room the have samples of different cakes. They will custom design your cake with you. Not only was their cake the most delicious, they spent so much time with us planning the perfect cake for us.
We choose to have white and chocolate cake. When I walked into the venue and saw the finished product, I cried. It was beyond what I expected.
My guests are still raving about the cake. Look no further. If you want the best tasting and looking wedding cake book with Olson's. You will be most impressed!

I can't remember the woman's name that worked with me but she was so nice. I was very indecision in what kind of cake I wanted but she helped me to create a cake that I absolutely love. When we sampled the cake they were amazing! They were so moist and delicious and the cake was very inexpensive!! I would definitely recommend ohlsons bakery to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

Ohlson's was a fantastic choice. We hadn't found a bakery until about 3 months before the wedding, but thankfully they still had available spots. We ending up getting a 300 series cake (a three tier cake that serves 125 for $300). It was a great affordable option for us since we were also having tons of cookies and other desserts. The cake looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, better than I had even imagined. I walked right into the reception hall over to the cake to marvel at how awesome it looked. Not only did the cake look stunning, it also tasted phenomenal. We were able to have different flavors on different layers which was great as well. I definitely recommend the almond cake and raspberry one.
They also will make you an anniversary cake on your 1 year.
I highly recommend ordering your wedding cake through them - you won't be disappointed.

That cake just melts in your mouth! It's absolutely delicious with the buttercream frosting, looks amazing and we loved it! It's soft and light. The prices are very reasonable and the fresh anniversary cake is much better than freezing your cake! The best wedding cake I've ever had (and I am a wedding cake snob as I love baking myself!)

Cake was awesome. Very reasonable pricing when compared to other providers. We ordered a cake with a LOT of manually applied details, and it came out beautifully. They were very good about working with us, and were even kind enough to provide us with a mini-cake on our 1yr anniversary (we ate the actual wedding cake top at 6mo's).

While we had rude responses from another popular bakery that deemed our cake "too small" to call for a consultation, ohlsons was not only happy to sit down and do a tasting, but spend time planning our a design with us. We chose Ohlson's for our wedding cake and it turned out absolutely perfect. Our guests commented on how beautiful it was and also how delicious it was. We chose one of their $300 cakes and has the top and bottom tiers done in their raspberry marble cake and the middle tier was almond cake. From the decorations to the cake itself, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect cake, moist and delicious.

Having never been in this bakery we noticed that they put God first in their lives and business so going into our meeting with Lisa we had a good feeling that we were going to do business with someone honest. I can't tell you how many people have told me that ours was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I mean, who really remembers the cake from a wedding. Everyone at our has, apparently. I was attracted to Maureen's because of their "300" series - basically scaled back, but still beautiful cakes for people without the luxury of an unlimited budget. When we went for our tasting, everything we tried was great and the service was wonderful. We finally settled on three flavors for different tiers: red velvet, almond, and chocolate marble. Usually red velvet gets dry, but not at Ohlson's. Every piece was delicious. We ordered more than we thought we would need, and we ran out of cake because people were going back for seconds (and thirds....) of this stuff. The price was really reasonable - we added an extra sheet cake to be cut in the kitchen, plus the three tiered cake - and the final result was gorgeous. Delivered on time in perfect condition with our little cake topper (a bunting banner) all arranged. AND, they bake you a freshie on your first anniversary, so no need to save the top layer! So happy we went with Maureen's. No complaints here!

Each layer was a different flavor and we didn't have to save the top layer for the first anniversary and risk a dry or freezer burned cake because Ohlsons Bakery provides a fresh anniversary cake free of charge! Not only did the cake look great it also tasted delicious!! Ohlsons Bakery designed the cake exactly as our daughter requested. The price was below what we were expecting too. Lisa at Ohlson's was a pleasure to work with to plan out our wedding cake design. They have a 300 series of cakes that were very reasonably priced and we just added on a sheet cake as needed. I even paid for more, but when the head count was finalized, I found that I didn't need as much, so Lisa applied a credit to my account. I really appreciated that gesture! The cake was gorgeous and delicious! We will receive a one year anniversary cake for free - we are looking forward to that! We would definitely recommend Ohlson's for their wedding cake services!

The cakes were delicious. We had 3 cakes. We wanted to eat them all. We had a bunch of Wedding Cupcakes instead of a wedding cake. People were sneaking the cupcakes out in their purses. The groom's cake was a heavily en-chocolate-ed version of the mythical cake from Portal the video game. It was an exact match and was quickly devoured. The third and final cake was a birthday cake. As a cost saving measure I made the wedding the day before the bride's birthday. It was a Harry Potter themed almond cake. Wisely we delayed our honeymoon to preserve the remnants of the cakes and as a result were the last to leave our own wedding

We purchased one of the cakes from the 300 series and got to pick the color (white or ivory) and whatever color we wanted to the flowers to be. We had 4 different flavors (chocolate, almond, raspberry swirl, and chocolate marble) to give guests a wide variety of options. This didn't cost us anything extra. The owner who we dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. The cake was delicious. This is the place to get your wedding cake from!

The owner is really the nicest and cares about her business and customers. Finally, our cake was just perfect and gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could post a picture of it! I would highly recommend Ohlson's!!

We loved working with Lisa from Ohlson's Bakery to create our perfect wedding cake! We spent a long time trying to decide what kind of design we wanted for our cake and Lisa was extremely patient while we made our decisions. When it came to taste testing the cakes, all of the options were DELICIOUS! We ended up choosing the almond cake and the chocolate marble cake and everyone at our wedding mentioned how good it was. Thank you to Lisa and Ohlson's Bakery for being a part of our special day and for making our dream wedding cake!

Just saying Ohlson's bakery makes my mouth water! They baked us a almond cake with almond frosting. It was out of this world. People were lined up at the end of the night to get takeout boxes of the leftovers. It really was the best wedding cake I have ever had. Since my wedding day a month ago, two people at the wedding have gone to them because they enjoyed the cake so much.
The design was perfect. I told them up front that cost was important to us and they never showed us designs that were out of our range. She designed a cake just like the picture we had talked about. It was elegant and matched our wedding theme perfectly.
In the end we came out way under budget, but the cake was still the best out of all the bakery's we had visited. I also changed my mind on a few details of the design about 10 times. :) Each time I called they were so responsive and listened to exactly what I wanted. They never made me feel like I was a burden for changing my mind.
The baker even came in on her day off to meet with me because we are from out of town.
I want to get married again just to get another replica of my cake!

Our wedding cake from Ohlson's was beautiful and delicious. They had so many options for styles and flavors -- we flipped through cake photos on their iPad and then combined elements of our favorite designs to personalize the cake. We also had some of the Wisconsin Kringles for our backyard rehearsal dinner, and they were a huge hit! They helped us with dessert options for our gluten-free guests as well.

After a few cake tastings we came upon Ohlson's and were blown away! The cake was not frozen, it was freshly prepared, and it was just the best! We wanted to avoid fondant and were able to find a beautiful rose pattern for the cake in buttercream and it turned out beautiful and was absolutely delicious! To my knowledge, the cake as delivered on time without fault!

Ohlson's delivered on their promise of a beautiful and delicious cake for my daughter's wedding. They took the time to meet with me and my husband for the initial consultation since my daughter lives out of town, and then again with my daughter and her fiancé when they could meet (with samples both times!) The extra tier for their one year anniversary is an extra nice touch!

The look of our cake was everything I pictured I cannot thank them enough for the beautiful cake they made for us!!!!!!! I would go to Ohlson's for all cake needs they are VERY reasonably price!!!!!! Everyone who saw or as seen a picture of our cake stated how beautiful it was!
Go to Ohlson's for all wedding and party cakes you need they will taste just as amazing as they will look!

Ohlson's did the cake for my wedding this past weekend, and it was fabulous!!! We received so many compliments on how fantastic it turned out. Lisa was great to work with and was very flexible. We made some last minute changes the week before and she accommodated them beautifully.
Our three-tier cake served 130 + we also did half a sheet cake to have in case (our total count was 160 but our reception venue also served dessert). One tier was chocolate (which I didn't get to try), one was almond wedding cake with fresh strawberry filling (divine!) and one was strawberry marble cake (our favorite). The cake was simply and beautifully decorated in white buttercream frosting (SO much tastier than fondant) with lovely lace piping detail and a band of our color around the base of each layer. Ohlson's also added our cake topper for us which was nice.
Couldn't be happier, definitely go to Ohlson's!

Ohlson's did such a beautiful job on our wedding cake. We added something to be incorporated on our cake after we sat down to design it and it came our unbelievably gorgeous! The cake was moist and had such wonderful flavor. Everyone raved how great it was! We can't wait for our 1 year anniversary for our free tier (huge bonus!) but I'm sure we will be in for more sweets in the meantime! We tell everyone to go to Ohlson's, the cake is fabulous and the prices are VERY reasonable! Thank you so much!!!

Ohlson's did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. They were great to work with and affordable. Their almond cake is the best around. Everyone raved about how delicious and beautiful the cake was. For your one year anniversary they also make you a fresh top tier. My whole family has went here for their wedding cakes and we will continue to get our cakes from here. I would highly recommend!

Great service. Great cake - all fresh. Everyone ate the cake for dessert! we thought we'd have cake to take home to share when we had a chance to catch our breath.... but people actually asked for seconds! we also had trays of cookies and dessert bars for later in the evening - and they all went as well. I would highly recommend them for weddings or any other time!

For our wedding we had the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. It was exactly what I had wanted and the way I pictured it they went above and beyond what I had envisioned. I couldn't have been more happy with our cake and our decision to go to Ohlson's. Not only did the cake look amazing it tasted so good as well!
