Working with Kim from Ohana was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From day one, she was the sweetest, kindest person—and it was immediately clear how genuinely invested she was in making our vision come to life.
Her attention to detail is incredible. She listened so thoughtfully, offered ideas we hadn’t even considered, and made sure every floral element was not only beautiful but meaningful. On the day of the wedding, seeing everything come together truly took our breath away. It was more perfect than we could have imagined.
Kim’s passion and talent shine through in everything she does. We’re so grateful to her for playing such a huge role in bringing our dream day to life. -

Kim was absolutely exceptional from the very first email. She first put my ease with her ability to work within my price range. When I expressed that I am really not a visual person, Kim hopped on the phone with me and walked me through the whole day so I could begin to picture little by little how the florals would come together. Also, she met my mom and me at the flower market a year in advance of my wedding so that I could see the flowers that would be in bloom at the time of my wedding and we could pick them out together. Additionally, Kim helped me to decide on colors and design for signage and linens. The list goes on and on, and the photos speak for themselves. She made my colorful springtime vision (that I couldn’t even verbalize) come to life. Kim is kind, patient, and fun - I couldn’t recommend her more highly. -

We feel so lucky that we found Kimberly. She was incredible to work with! Our flowers were gorgeous and perfectly curated. She truly understood our vision and she brought it to life. Our wedding had nods to Harry Potter and Kimberly made our dance floor look like The Great Hall at Hogwarts with 200 floating candles! It was truly amazing! Kimberly made our wedding look and feel magical. We cannot recommend her enough! -

A floral extraordinaire - so happy we chose to work with Kim and the Ohana Floral + Event Design team
Working with Kim and the Ohana team was amazing from start to finish! Kim really takes the time to know you, what you're looking for and is very mindful of keeping you within your budget. We felt like this experience was a true partnership - something that we believe is so important and makes all the difference. Kim answered all of our questions, was open to feedback and suggestions and is truly an expert in her craft. She is such a kind and genuine person and a pleasure to chat with :)
Since we were unable to arrange a floral walkthrough with Kim and the wholesaler, Kim created a "Pinterest" style PPT deck, detailing every floral, candle, greenery, etc. she planned on using. It really made us feel even more confident that everything on our big day would be beautiful. She also was very knowledgeable about our venue and what looks best there having been there so often, so we really valued her guidance on that.
Three days before our wedding, our venue delivered the news that the live trees we requested for our reception area were dead (we were so upset!) so we asked Kim if she would be able to create a hanging floral/foliage arch for us above the sweetheart table to fill up some of the space in the high ceilings. Not only did she deliver, but the hanging piece was absolutely breathtaking. It was a focal point for many of our photos. We loved it, and so did our guests!
My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning and so were my bridesmaids. Kim and her team had them waiting for us in water when we got to the venue.
When my husband and I entered the room to see our florals, greenery and candles for the first time ... I started to tear up! It was truly magical and was exactly what we envisioned. Kim and her team set everything up - we placed our candle order with her ahead of time and she had them ready with the casings the day of.
After weddings, Kim works with a local boy with Down Syndrome who takes unwanted florals to nursing homes and to veterans. Such an amazing added bonus and what an amazing way to give your beautiful florals another moment to make someone's day :)

Kim is incredibly talented and is absolutely wonderful to work with! She understood the aesthetic we were looking for from the start, and worked with us to create the vision we wanted while staying within our budget. We found out our chuppah/mandap (wedding structure) was too short while we were on our flower-market run-through (three weeks before the wedding), and she immediately jumped into problem-solving mode. She suggested adding height with some greenery and florals, and the end-result was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Even our garlands for the Hindu ceremony, which can often look tacky, were elegant and looked wonderful in all the photos. We will be recommending Kim to anyone looking for a florist, she genuinely cares about her clients and will go above and beyond! -

I cannot recommend Kim and the Ohana team enough!! My husband and I worked with Kim for our rehearsal dinner and wedding flowers this summer and are BEYOND happy with how everything turned out!! She fully delivered on my vision and added fun creative ideas throughout the process that took it to a whole new level!
Working with Kim was so enjoyable from start to finish - she is incredibly responsive and organized and brought so much enthusiasm to all of our conversations! I always felt like our wedding was a priority to her. She took care through each step of the process to listen to what we wanted and to provide recommendations that aligned with our style. Given we worked with Ohana for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding, Kim also helped us find ways to be efficient and re-use flowers between the two days while creating two totally different looks to make each event feel special and unique!
Working with Kim might be the only part of wedding planning that I am going to miss! Absolutely book her if you have the chance! -

Kim and her team did the floral design for our wedding at Red Maple Vineyard and I still can’t get over the beauty and vision they brought to our day. In short, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous.
We spent some time at the Chelsea flower market with Kim the summer before our wedding and learned so much from her. Any conversations or emails were always really pleasant and the process of planning florals and minimal decor was so fun! Kim is so knowledgeable and kind in providing guidance and perspective.
Seeing everything come together so beautifully and thoughtfully in the bouquets, ceremony and reception spaces was incredible. They have such an eye for amplifying natural beauty and really tying everything together with thoughtful touches. Ohana truly made our floral dreams come true! -

Kim and her team worked tirelessly to make my husband and I's dream vision come true. Kim was extremely responsive, communicative, and overall such a pleasure to work with. I originally showed Kim a Pinterest board and she made that happen and more! Her design taste is impeccable!! Throughout the process she shared her thoughts on what was necessary, what we may want to add, and also work with us on budgeting when needed. Ohana is THE BEST!!!
We used Kim and the Ohana team for our July 2022 wedding at Red Maple Vineyard and we could not be happier! I found Ohana’s instagram when searching for a florist, as they had previously worked at my venue and I immediately fell in love with their timeless style while using such beautiful flowers and texture. From my initial conversation with Kim, I could tell how passionate Kim is about wedding florals/design and I had to work with her. Kim truly listened to me throughout the planning process and was able to bring my vision to life even better than I imagined it. Kim made the floral process so much fun, always responding to my ideas with additional suggestions/options and sending photos of examples to help me narrow down what I wanted. We also ended up renting signage and table decor from Ohana, and hired Kim to do our day of coordination. On the day of, I didn’t have to even think about the floral/decor setup because I knew Kim and Rachael had it handled and I was able to relax and focus on enjoying my wedding day. Everything turned out absolutely perfect. I am so happy we used Kim and the Ohana team for our wedding, she was truly a pleasure to work with and flawlessly executed our florals, signage, and day of coordination. I highly highly recommend using Ohana for your wedding, you will be so happy you did!!! -

Choosing to work with Ohana for our wedding was easily the best decision we made in planning our wedding. Kimberly is so kind, thoughtful, experienced, detail-oriented, organized, and talented. We looked forward to every planning call and would end the call smiling and remembering how much we were looking forward to the big day. We said to ourselves numerous times leading up to the wedding, "We know Kim will be there so it be gorgeous and set up well." We had complete confidence in everything she did and still she completely blew us away. The flowers were so gorgeous (still the background on my phone), the design details and signs lit up the whole venue, and her ideas (like tailored welcome drinks) made the whole day feel so much like us and special. Clearly, we couldn't recommend Ohana more! -

We used Ohana Floral + Event Design as our wedding florist and they were absolutely amazing! Kim was super responsive and has impeccable taste; she helped mediate the different visions my husband and I had about the flowers. We ended up with bouquets, arrangements and designs that were stunning.
We hit it off with Kim right away from the first meeting over the phone. She has a positive, calming aura and you can tell she truly cares. I had mentioned to her how hard it was to get other wedding vendors and she sent me a long list of other vendors she knew of in the area. Kim even met us at the venue and walked us through all of the ideas she had. She then went the extra mile and took us on a walk through the flower market in NYC so we could decide which flowers worked best. Kim also spent a lot of time looking for the perfect ancillary items like candles and frames.
We felt truly blessed to have worked with Kim, you could tell she really cared about making your wedding amazing. We can’t say enough good things about Ohana/Kim - I highly recommend Ohana Floral + Event Design! Thank you Kim and team for making our wedding perfect. ❤️

The flowers at my daughters wedding were just amazing. As the mother of the bride I had the pleasure of getting to meet Kim from Ohana prior to the wedding. The venue was a tent in a vineyard for a June wedding. Kim listened to my daughter’s vision of the day & managed to capture it. She even met with us at a flower market exactly one year prior to the wedding & took notes of likes & dislikes as we walked through the shops. Colors, flowers & even textures for greenery were noted. That day Everything looked like a fairy tale. The colors were soft & the arrangements beautiful & perfectly imperfect which is what my daughter & her then fiancé wanted & I wholeheartedly agreed. One of the loveliest displays was a wall of bud vases with a flower in each; a pretty tag had each guest’s assigned table. The added bonus were these vases were brought to the tables which enhanced the tablescape even more!! We even had a mishap that was barely noticeable. A gorgeous broken arch of flowers was lifted into the air by a wind gust & came crashing down. Somehow, Kim & her staff managed to re-build it in record time; it became less symmetrical but just as lovely! Ohana was one of the best vendor choices my daughter made for her wedding, & I highly recommend for them for their personalized service & beautiful work. -

Kim and the Ohana team are literally the best vendor you could ask for. Over our two year engagement, Kim was attentive, professional, timely, and wildly creative in helping us make our venue and day look and feel special. She and her husband designed gorgeous papergoods suites, did all our flowers and decor, and helped us think through small personal touches that made our day feel like us. My photographer had shot at our venue for 10 years, and said that because of Ohana she had "literally never seen it look prettier." Working was Kim was an absolute joy and I would urge anyone to use her to make their day perfect. -

There are no words to describe how thankful I am to have found Kim. To say that she was the floral and design vendor of my dreams would be an understatement. Hiring her was the best decision of our entire wedding, aside from actually deciding to get married! Kim was my confidant, friend, therapist, and someone who was there for us every step of the way. She truly listens to your heart and vision, is empathetic, patient, kind, and makes you feel like you're her only client. Kim went ABOVE AND BEYOND for our wedding. From our first phone call that turned into an hour-long conversation that felt like talking to a long lost friend, to walking through the floral market, to late night phone calls and text messages, Kim was right by my side. She produces beautiful work — dedicating hours to looking at flowers together — and she NAILED the vision. (I will never get over how stunning our beautiful floral arch and bouquets turned out.) Planning a wedding can inevitably be stressful, and Kim made me feel calm, heard, and supported. She put extra touches into the decor and styling that left me speechless, and I thank my lucky stars that we found her. Even on the day of our wedding she personally handled tasks that weren't even in her scope of work, just because she knew how much it would mean to me. She is a joy to work with, a true professional, and I could never thank her enough for how special she made our wedding. I told every family member and friend that we couldn't have pulled off this wedding without her, and I still believe that. Do not think twice about hiring Kim, you will never, ever regret it! -

An absolute dream to work with!
We used Ohana as our wedding florist and they knocked it out of the park. Kim was an absolute dream to work with. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted my flowers to look like except "jewel tones and greenery". Kim took that note and ran with it and came up with a gorgeous design that took my breath away. I actually cried when she walked in with the bouquets because they were so beautiful!
I hit it off with Kim right away from the first initial meeting. You can tell how much she cares about her clients and her business as she is so receptive to all of your requests. My husband and I love craft beer so I asked if it was possible to incorporate hops into the boutonnieres and she delivered! Having a vendor like Ohana that is so creative and flexible was such a relief to me during the pandemic times. We had to postpone our wedding from 9/12/20 to 9/4/21 and Kim made the process so smooth and effortless. I truly feel like I won the vendor lotto with Ohana Floral + Event design. If they are available for your date, book ASAP. You are in great hands! -

The florist/designer of your dreams!!!
There are no words to describe how passionate, smart, creative, talented, and kind Kim and her amazing husband are, but I will try! We last-minute decided to have a micro-wedding in our backyard, and I worried that with less than a month to plan it, we would never be able to make the space look really special. But after speaking with Kim, I knew we were in great hands. She responded to every email extremely quickly and had incredible ideas that I never could have thought of, while still staying within our budget. She was calm, positive, organized, efficient, and beyond supportive throughout the whole process. On the day of the wedding, I could not believe how all the flowers, table settings and chuppah looked EXACTLY like what I had imagined in my head (except even better!!!). Kim and her team absolutely blew me away with their attention to detail, punctuality, and overall creativity. Kim is someone who truly loves what she does and you can feel it in every aspect of her work. Cannot recommend her highly enough! -

Fabulous Florals
Our daughter and son-in-law had a gorgeous, intimate and most importantly Covid safe wedding last month. From the moment they made the tough decision to downsize, Kim from Ohana contacted them, supporting their choice and reassuring them it would be just as special and beautiful. And it was, thanks to Kim’s vision and effort. She could have easily given 20% effort for a 20 person wedding. Instead she gave 120%. She posted beautiful photos of her own excitement as she arrived at Red Maple Vineyard in its fall foliage glory and continued to post as she added her perfect touches to the ceremony site and inside the venue. As the MOB it was fun to watch as she worked and added to the story of the day. Kim happily added a small personal touch I requested last minute. The bouquets, arrangements and table decor were just as my daughter and I envisioned. You could see the care Kim put into every detail. I highly recommend Kim and Ohana! Book her today! -

Looking back on our wedding day, we can sincerely say that it was absolutely beyond our dreams, exceeding what we could have ever expected. This magical feeling was made possible by the insanely talented Kim and her team at Ohana Events. From our first call, I knew Kim would be an amazing vendor to work with. We clicked right away. She listened intently, gave her advice and opinions based on her breadth of experience and worked closely with us to make our wedding dreams a reality. Kim is not only an incredible florist and designer, she’s also fastidious, organized and efficient. Her spreadsheets gave us a clear timeline, understanding of the process and peace of mind that everything would be done and ready to go, with no stress on our end. When we were in the weeds, so to speak, of wedding planning, Kim’s kindness, friendliness, excitement for our day and her attention to detail were a beacon of light.
On the day of our wedding, I spent a little time walking around and watching all our plans pull together by Kim and her assistants (her husband, and her cute parents!). It brought the meaning of Ohana, which means family, to life, and it showed just how committed and excited she was to create magic for our wedding day. It was amazing to see the decor, the florals and all the personal details that we had discussed for so long. I only wish I had more time to enjoy it all! So many of our guests were blown away by the beauty of it all and we continue to get endless compliments.
We had over a year of planning time, and in that year, Kim had become more than our florist, she became a friend, and at times almost like a big sister to me. During what can be a stressful time, Kim helped keep me calm and gave me the headspace to stay present for the big day.
Beyond grateful to have worked with Kim and extremely excited to see what’s next for Ohana! -

Ohana Made our Wedding Dreams Come True!
Like previous reviews below, I also hold this review close to my heart. We hired Ohana for our outdoor tented wedding on 10/5/2019 at Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck, NY for design, floral and 2 month coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding.
I spoke to a couple wedding planners before deciding on Ohana and from the first conversation I had with Kim she immediately had me at ease and I knew she would help execute the wedding of our dreams. We worked with Kim and Steve for about a year before the wedding and they really invest time in getting to know you personally as a couple and really care about their clients. What really stood out about Ohana vs. other wedding planners was that design, floral and coordination would all be under the same vendor which made things so much easier and helped bring our vision come to life.
Kim's attention to deal, design ideas and execution was better than we could have ever imagined. Like many brides coming down to the wire, I started doubting some of the decisions we made regarding the design of our reception tent. Kim always put me at ease and worked with the last minute changes to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. She essentially made wedding planning a breeze and so enjoyable for us.
Having Kim and Rachael for 2 month coordination was a huge help and took a big burden off our shoulders the last month leading up to our wedding. They coordinated with all of our vendors, kept our wedding day on track, ensured all of our personal belongings were safe and assisted with anything and everything we needed that day.
I feel very lucky to have worked with Kim and the Ohana team - they helped make our wedding everything we could have ever wanted. -

Book ohana for your wedding!
I hold this review close to my heart because I am so thankful for having had Kim and Ohana Event Design make all of my wedding dreams come true. There are no words that I will be able to say that can explain how thankful and how in love I was with our wedding design and florals but I am going to do my best to try!!
Immeditately after booking my venue at Red Maple Vineyard I booked Ohana Event Design and worked with them for about a year and a half! The answer is simple, BOOK KIM AND OHANA for your wedding day/event needs!! Kim was this calming force that I didn't know I needed when planning my wedding. One aspect I immediately loved was that Ohana is a one stop shop for both planning and floral & design services! This helps eliminate extra vendors which is amazing. Kim truly invests her heart into each of her clients and I can honestly say that it felt like she treated my wedding day as if it were her own.
After a ton of searching/ scrolling/ gramming I landed upon http://www.ohanaeventdesign.com and once I read their background and saw their design styles I couldn't wait to setup a call. My goal was to hire a wedding/floral designer because I had this stress of not knowing how I was going to make my wedding pretty, how was I possibly supposed to create this design and carry it through the whole night? If you are someone who gets overwhelmed by the thought of planning a wedding or just don't know where to start in the wedding planning process, or not sure how you are going to make the day beautiful… I would without a doubt hire Kim and the Ohana team for both planning AND design services.
The second I got off the phone with Kim and Steve of Ohana, not only did I feel like I was talking to a friend I knew for years, I felt this sense of stress lifted and could tell they would be able to deliver exactly what I was imaging. Kim has this natural ability for design and creativity. She takes the time to learn about who you both are as a couple, your likes, dislikes, your family, your favorite memories, etc. and finds ways to tie these personal touches in to your wedding day. I honestly believe this is what set our wedding apart. There were so many personal details and "magic moments" that Kim created, my guests were non-stop in awe. Everywhere you turned there was some new detail that felt so personal to so many and added so many beautiful elements to the evening.
I received endless compliments on how beautiful the reception area was, how touching it was to have a personal seating card notes, how people have never seen so many of these ideas before and all of this credit goes to Kim and Ohana Event Design. Kim was beyond organized throughout the entire planning process, and made what could have seemed like an overwhelming process beyond fun and enjoyable. I loved every second I got to plan with Kim and always looked forward to our meet ups or emails. Knowing that Kim was in my corner and guiding the way the months and days leading up to our wedding gave me the biggest piece of mind.
Kim's floral design is out of this world! She truly listened to everything I said and areas where I told her I had no idea, she help give options of what she think would work best and what she thought I may like. Every time she was spot on. She does not rest until she knows you are going to be happy with the final result. Kim is there to maximize your budget as best as possible and will guide you in what she thinks is worth the extra spend.
My only regret from my wedding day was not hiring a day of coordinator from Ohana. Yes, venues normally give you an onsite coordinator but they are just not the same as what a coordinator who you have been working with for months would do. There were so many times I wish I had my photographer around to get a shot, our getting ready started to run late, I had less time for our first look. If only I had Kim or another day of coordinator from Ohana I know this could have been avoided.

If I could give Ohana 100 stars, I would! Kim, the owner, is the perfect combination of organized, detail-oriented, professional, easy-going, kind, positive, and hardworking, not to mention, she has the most impeccable, beautiful taste! Our wedding was in Tallahassee, FL, so Kim had to travel down from NY to help us, sight unseen, only going off pictures. She designed the entire wedding and was there the day of to not only make sure everything was set up perfectly, but she seamlessly transformed into our day-of coordinator as well. 2 days prior to our wedding, category 4 Hurricane Michael hit the Florida panhandle. Kim was calm and incredibly professional and made it there for our big day without hesitation. She made the wedding look like there was no hurricane to speak of. Everyone, including Jason and me, were blown away at how perfect everything looked and how smoothly everything went! It would be an understatement to say Kim is a wedding guru- she is more than we could have ever dreamed of for a wedding designer/coordinator! Thank you for everything, Kim!! -

Sam Sent on 08/15/2018I hired ohana events for my June 2018 wedding and it was the best choice I made. Kim made sure everything was perfect. She was available to help with anything and everything at the drop of a hat. I am not good at planning and organizing so I left the entire wedding up to kim and it was truly dream like. She even hand picked my bouteneers and bouquets! Having her was the best choice I made for my wedding..... thanks kim!

There were so many facets to pull together for our destination wedding- every service at the event was a la cart- from chairs, tables, lights and food- and Kim made it all work perfectly. There was absolutely nothing that she could have done any better. She is amazing!

On the morning of my wedding as i was getting ready with my bridesmaids they kept saying how are you so calm?! i simply replied Kim is here, everything will be taken care of! In the planning phase she was always there for me with quick responses and she kept me on schedule. My flowers were perfectly unique and all of the decor was perfect! The flow that she created between my flowers and then bridal party flowers to the cocktail hour and reception was far beyond my wildest dreams, stunning and absolute perfection!! I loved working with Kim and I am going to miss our coffee dates to plan!! I highly recommend Ohana!!
