I highly recommend Jim from Offshoots as your florist! I don't know much about flowers and didn't have a solid vision for what I wanted on our wedding day. However, all I had to do was show Jim my wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses, and our venue and he went to town! Our bouquets were GORGEOUS! We wanted sober wedding colors and he made muted tones come to life. He also decorated the ceremony area at Greystone Hall for us (see photos). Finally, our center pieces were amazing!
As the bride, I was able to visit the Feastivities/Offshoots office a few months before the wedding where Jim set up a display of the center pieces/candles for us to approve. Jim is also extremely flexible and open to new ideas. However, usually I just wanted to stick with his amazing ideas! :)
I highly recommend hiring Offshoots and Feastivities (catering) as hand in hand vendors. The more all of your vendors are on the same page, the better! I highly recommend these flowers/decorations to any bride. -

Kylie Sent on 06/26/2018I initially went to the meeting with Offshoots with absolutely no ideas as far as flowers or even color scheme. In the hour we met with Jim, I left with a perfect plan for absolutely everything. Jim took one look at the color of my bridesmaid’s dresses and immediately gave us a ton of ideas for how to work with it. Since we got married at a venue that is outside in a garden area, Jim did not oversell flowers. He was very honest on things we would need and things we wouldn’t. Something I appreciated greatly since I had no idea what I was doing! All of our centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking. We had several different options to choose from and ended up going with four different styles; from just greenery, to various riser candles, to beautiful bouquets, there was a little bit of everything. Something that was important to me was candlelight and it was certainly delivered! There were hundreds of votive scatted among all the tables, bringing the four different styles perfectly together. All of the bouquets were beautiful and the little flower crowns and “wands” for the flower girls were just perfect. I would recommend Offshoots to anyone looking for a florist!

Great experience working with Jim!
We couldn't be happier to have chosen Jim from Offshoots as our wedding florist. He is passionate, honest, and hands on. We took him up on almost every suggestion he had from the flowers/greenery to the color and texture of the linens. Jim did a great job understanding and creating a proposal based on our vision. He used the simplicity of flowers and candles to enhance the natural beauty of our venue. Every detail was exactly as we had wanted - natural, organic and elegant. Thank you Jim! -

Jim, Lexi, and the rest of the team at Offshoots were outstanding!
We initially heard about Offshoots because they are the in-house florist partnered with our caterer and venue. We didn’t have to hire Offshoots, but we chose them because we were impressed with their work and with Jim’s experience decorating our venue. Lexi, our main point of contact, was super sweet and very responsive.
Can’t say enough great things about Jim! He did an amazing job of translating my vague ideas and Pinterest board into a fully-fledged decorating scheme, and also made a lot of helpful suggestions based on his expertise with our venue. He was also very respectful of our budget – when we asked where we could save money, he suggested a few small changes that saved us hundreds of dollars, without sacrificing the look we were going for.
When our wedding day arrived, their work exceeded all my expectations!!! The flowers were absolutely perfect and the decor around the venue was beautiful! We had a historic venue with gorgeous marble fireplaces. Jim and his team made the whole venue sparkle with candles and the perfect touches of flowers and greenery.
My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time thinking about flower preservation. I wish my bouquet could have stayed that beautiful forever!

User2598575 Sent on 05/05/2016OffShoots did an excellent job with our flowers. Everything turned out even better than we imagined. Jim was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. I'm glad we went with a florist that provides samples and can be very flexible to meet our price range and ideas. It made it even better to have Feastivities as our caterer because we knew they would coordinate with each other and thre would be no issues. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. -

User2565870 Sent on 03/31/2016Offshoots helped with my March 2016 wedding and everything looked fantastic. All of the e-mail communication goes through Melissa, the Event Planner, who is professional and friendly. Because of this, it’s not always easy getting answers quickly from Jim, the Lead Designer.
We got off to rocky start as we didn’t receive a response for a while due to their system issues. Fast forward a bit to our first consultation call: 1) rescheduled the same day, and then 2) no-show. When we finally did have the call, Jim was very friendly and detail oriented. He was obviously knowledgeable and asked the right questions to get a feel for our taste.
While the proposal was being drawn up, we went through many revisions (because of us) and OffShoots was pretty patient and accommodating. While the floral arrangement costs were not high, the setup fee was high. Even so, OffShoots was the most affordable as compared to other florists in the area. OffShoots even allowed us to fold some of our own décor in and allow us to use our own candles (with them helping to set it all up).
As we get closer to the wedding, we met with Jim to review our floral centerpieces. The sample centerpieces looked great. We mainly had red roses with wax flowers and some greens. Jim has a great eye and has great suggestions.
On the day of the wedding, everything looked great. The flowers were amazing. My red rose bouquet was perfect (big and beautiful). I loved that he used leftover fabric from my dress to wrap the bouquet. All the corsages and boutonnieres looked great and it all arrived on time to my hotel. The flowers were definitely of high quality as well. The candles and centerpieces looked great the day of the wedding. Guests even took some of the flowers home. They had also helped us pack everything up at the end of the night.
While answers were not always quick and sometimes things felt unorganized, overall, OffShoots was really affordable, did a great job, and the outcome was beautiful. -
