She was great, friendly and polite and knew when to step in and facilitate and when to step back. The experience felt unpressured, unrushed. Very respectful language chosen for the ceremony. She was a great photographer and we had so much fun. 10/10. Would get married again! -

Carmen George was an absolute gem and a vital part of our wedding day! Not only did she officiate our ceremony as Justice of the Peace, but she also created the most stunning floral arrangements that perfectly complemented our colors and the season.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Carmen took the time to have several calls with us, offering thoughtful guidance on everything from flowers for our arbor and bouquet to corsages and boutonnieres. Her expertise and creativity brought our floral vision to life in a way that exceeded our expectations.
When it came to our ceremony, Carmen truly went above and beyond. She walked us through all the parts of the ceremony, gave recommendations on where and when we needed music or audience participation, and even helped us create a unique unity ceremony. On the big day, our guests couldn’t stop talking about how our vows were their favorite part of the celebration. Although we had kept our vows a secret from each other, Carmen’s guidance helped us create vows that beautifully complemented each other—a true testament to her skill and understanding of who we are as a couple.
Carmen brought a warmth, professionalism, and personal touch to our wedding that made it truly unforgettable. We were able to relax and tune into her words during the ceremony that brought such a calm over us. From the moment we attended our friend's beautifully orchestrated wedding and saw Carmen in action as the officiant, we were confident she was the one we wanted for our special day. We chose Carmen to officiate at our wedding based on her rave reviews, and she deserves every one of them! Carmen took time with me initially to discuss the day in general, and then with the two of us to run through the details as the day approached. We drove up from out of state, and she knew Vermont’s process and answered every nervous email I sent within minutes. And she was always so kind, and calming, and happy for us.
We chose the elopement package, and I truly could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. My husband recorded it with his phone, and I tear up every time I listen to the beautiful things she said. The bouquet she made is gorgeous. I opted for silk flowers, because I asked for peonies and we got married in March, and it’s so lovely. After the ceremony, she took lots of pictures in different areas of the chapel and outside. I felt so at ease, and while I’m usually not happy with the way I look in photos, I cannot believe how much I love them!
I married the man I love with all of my heart, so it would have been a wonderful day regardless. But it was absolutely perfect, and we owe most of it to Carmen. She was made for this. Thank you so much for everything! -

We chose Carmen as our officiant and photographer for our recent wedding at the Sterling Ridge Resort. She far exceeded our expectations in both capacities. Our ceremony was intimate, and very meaningful. She learned our vibe as a couple, included our small group of family and friends, and most importantly she truly cares.
Our photographs are beautiful and filled with emotion. She captured the surrounding landscape, our love for one another, and the joy and friendship of our guests.
I highly recommend using Carmen for you wedding. -

Absolutely Amazing!
Carmen was the perfect fit to officiate our wedding! She put us at ease and made us feel so comfortable. She truly makes you feel so special as a couple during the ceremony and in communications leading up. She was quick to respond and help in any way possible. Her added knowledge of florals and photography was extremely helpful, especially during our rehearsal. She gave so many tips and tricks and made sure everyone felt confident for the wedding day. She added little personal touches into the ceremony that she had learned during our several conversations leading up to the big day. She included all the guests in the ceremony and guided us through a beautiful ceremony.
We highly recommend her and know she will make your ceremony memorable and perfect! -

A true renaissance woman
Carmen is an amazing officiant and florist! Her enthusiasm for weddings is infectious. She was able to create the perfect arrangements for our winter wedding. Being from out of state, I was concerned we wouldn’t be able to get across the look we wanted from phone and email conversations but Carmen was able create the most beautiful arrangements that were even more perfect than I could have imagined. Her thoughtfulness and passion for her work shined though. Her flowers stood out and complimented our decorations well!
As our officiant, Carmen walked us through the entire ceremony and made every step completely stress free. We had many compliments on how personal our ceremony was. The ceremony felt very natural and she laughed along with us as our nieces and nephews were running around. Carmen kept things light, fun and made us feel very special on our wedding day! She really took the time to get to know us as a couple to make the ceremony all the more intimate. She even captured a few photos for us before the ceremony and they are some of our favorites! -

Carmen officiated/photographed a small family wedding for my husband and I over the weekend and we could not have been more pleased with her. Vermont was having record breaking heat (along with most of the country) and we wanted to have our ceremony outside overlooking the mountains and Carmen braved the heat and all the mountain bugs that were around the property as we took pictures. The air bnb we rented didn't have air either so no break from the heat there. Despite all of this Carmen had a great attitude, and was very personable and professional. We are very impressed with the photos she took, that she got to us by midnight on the day of the ceremony! We, along with our families, would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in the area. -

We recently moved to Vermont and were seeking a local JP to marry us. After interviewing Carmen on the phone and hearing how enthusiastic she was about our various ceremony elements, including a Thai water blessing, we knew Carmen was the right choice. We met with Carmen a few more times and spoke on the phone leading up to the wedding. It is apparent how much she loves what she does, her fun attitude and energy made all our ceremony planning go smoothly. She gave us a draft before the wedding to look over, and was happy to adapt to our feedback. She helped direct our wedding party at our rehearsal, making sure people knew what to do and how to position/move from a photographer perspective. Her words during the ceremony were heartfelt and meaningful.

Carmen was amazing! We had a micro wedding, and she was there every step of the way. She was very flexible, offering back up plans and such, and didn’t complain when we had to change the location last minute. Our pictures came out beautiful, as well as my bouquet. What an exceptional experience could not ask for more!!!!!
Carmen was fantastic. We loved the vows she chose for our wedding. We did the hand binding ceremony which was absolutely wonderful and touching. Our words can’t not describe what a wonderful experience we had with Carmen. If we could do it all again we would definitely have her officiate our wedding again!!!!!!! -

Carmen performed our wedding ceremony this past December in Vermont, and it was the most personalized and unforgettable experience! Our guests were so impressed. Carmen is an expert in performing wedding ceremonies in Vermont, and she made the process enjoyable and easy. We planned our entire ceremony in an hour over the phone with Carmen, and felt completely at ease working with her. She even provided us with advice that helped us stay fully present though our entire day! I highly recommend Carmen George if you are looking for a wedding ceremony experience that you will cherish for a lifetime! -

Her bubbly, optimistic but focused personality kept my husband and I calm, cool and collected on wedding day. This mix of personalities gives her the ability to get your wedding party and guests organized so you can get the pictures you are so hoping for. We were then pleasantly surprised to have all of our pictures back within just TWO days.
She arranged a beautiful bouquet for me, customized to my request. She also provided a bucket of colorful flowers picked fresh from her garden. All of which went together wonderfully.
Oh and did I mention she has lots of creative wedding venue ideas?! -

We and all of our guests were so impressed with her floral arrangements including my bouquet, boutonnieres, main center piece, and high top table flowers. I was absolutely blown away. She knocked it out of the park and completely fulfilled my vision. We would highly recommend Carmen especially if you are eloping or having a micro-wedding in VT (her speciality!).

Breanna Sent on 06/25/2018Carmen officiated our wedding and provided flowers. Everything was perfect! In the months leading up to the wedding, Carmen was very responsive to questions. As for the ceremony, Carmen made sure it was beautiful, both by the language she used as an officiant and the flowers she provided. While there were many wonderful things, one thing stood out the most. Carmen took the time to know the names and relationship of everyone involved in our wedding- from my sisters who were bridesmaids to my friend from school who provided music- Carmen knew them all! Just one of many examples of the dedication Carmen will bring to ensure your wedding is the best it can be!

Carmen is very nice and non-judgemental. We had a short but very meaningful ceremony that she helped me to design. She’s flexible with what you want, while still having strong opinions of how things should go. She gives a lot of helpful info very close to the wedding day, but I think you need to be very clear if you need help with vows and such along the way, otherwise there seemed to be an assumption that we didn’t really need to talk much, prior to the wedding. This may be typical of a JP, I’m not sure, but That’s the only area I would improve- as a bride who is spiritual but not religious , I still want a meaningful ceremony and I would have liked more check ins, and “getting to know us” a bit more. Sometimes it felt that the emphasis was on having a quick ceremony, and it wasn’t until just before the wedding, that I felt she understood how emotional and spiritual we wanted the ceremony to be.
In the end, it was PERFECT! And when she Saw my mom struggling to walk down the aisle she’s the one that suggested my husband come down to meet us. I would definitely hire her again. I just think that some of my anxieties would have been lessened had we’ve been in touch a little more frequently and gotten to know each other a little bit more.
