Couldn’t have asked for better!!!
Jason is an amazing DJ! He was so easy to work with and was basically the operations manager for our ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception, he did the emceeing and announcing with multi room sound! We truly don’t know how we would have done it without him, he had lots of tips and pointers to help me with every aspect of the ceremony and reception! Everyone loved the music and he kept the party going!
The uplighting he provided added the extra bit of fancy and fun to the room! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! -

Sixth Year in a Row Repeat Customer
This is the sixth yearly event for which I have had Off the Hook Entertainment provide DJ services. Jason was perfect as always, arriving in plenty of time to set up his equipment. He accommodated my performer who not only sang using a roving microphone, she also played the keyboard at times, and Jason was ready with a microphone stand. He incorporated my song requests and used his expertise to select songs to keep my guests on the dance floor. He even added to his music library to incorporate the song I wanted for the last dance of the evening--now THAT is going above and beyond! This year, he receives extra special commendation for working with a high table, forcing him to stand for the duration of the event, rather than having a seat available. Thank you, Jason, for all you do. I look forward to having you next year for my 2019 event. -

Jason was fabulous to work with from the first face to face meeting to the last song. Very accommodating to our requests and comfortable to work with. The dance floor never emptied for 4 hours straight! Very reasonable pricing and was willing to work longer if we needed him too. He worked with us to integrate our own playlists and self-edited versions of certain songs. Will hire Jason for our retirement party! -

Jason did an amazing job for our wedding! Was professional, easy to work with, kept us in-the-know, and he was super flexible when we wanted to adjust things during the reception (after we realized that people were either hanging around longer than expected or heading out earlier than planned.) He paid attention to the timeline we laid out prior to the wedding and would update us as we needed to be. (Ex: He updated us when the last guest when through the buffet line for dinner) also, For my husbands mother-son dance song, we asked Jason to begin with a ‘serious song’ and then pretend there was a mistake or a problem with his equipment and to transition to the chicken dance as a fun gag to surprise my mother-in-law, Jason did this flawlessly! For every song we asked him to play for specified events, cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss.. etc, he did a great job!! He definitely did his homework and came prepared for my wedding! Finally, for my ceremony, my father, a professional trumpet player, recorded my pro/recessional music, Jason was able to use those recordings. It’s made my day so special to have my father walk my down the isle, but to walk down the isle to his recording. Thank you Jason for making Stevens and my day so special! -

We worked together prior to the event to select include music the graduates wanted but made sure it was appropriate for everyone. He was intuitive and knew what to play what, and his assistant was fully hands on to help where needed. They made a great team and we were glad to have them I would definitely use them again! -

We had a “double” Sweeet 16 party for our daughter and her best friend and “Off the Hook” did an awesome job as the DJ! Adults and teens all had a great time! -

Off the Hook entertainment was the best Entertainment ever. I don't think Jason could have done anything better. He was prompt, courteous and very responsive. He was able to appease everyone at an 80th birthday party. No easy feat since there were lots of elderly and lots of young people too. He was able to pick out just the right music and knew what selections would best suit the crowd at just the right time. I highly recommend Jason and Off the Hook Entertainment. -

This is the fifth year I have hosted a soiree, and there is no one else I would want to be my DJ than Jason Hook of Off the Hook Entertainment, LLC! Jason is a genius as balancing my song requests with music to get the crowd going and staying on the dance floor. I am a loyal repeat customer because I know that I don't have to worry about anything because Off the Hook Entertainment will have everything set up and ready to go before I arrive. Jason from Off The Hook Entertainment was wonderful. I used him for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party which had close to 100 teenagers attending. Not only was he super responsive to answer all of our questions and work out details prior to the party, but he was organized and prepared on the event day. My daughter provided a list of songs that she wanted to be included in the mix during the party. Even though he received the song list with very short notice, Jason seemed to know when to play the various songs at the right time. He also accepted song requests throughout the party. The kids had a blast singing and dancing thanks to Off The Hook Entertainment! -

Jason's experience and knowledgeable was evident through the planning process. His suggested songs links were helpful both with helping to know the kinds of songs for each part of our wedding, and in narrowing down our choices. He was flexible with the set-up of the two systems we needed when considering the ceremony and reception, and in making sure all the spaces within the floor plan of our venue was covered musically. -

Jason did such a great job for my wedding! He kept everyone dancing the whole night, and was so great to work with. He was very thorough leading up to the wedding to make sure it was clear what songs I did want and what songs I did not want played. He is very experienced with getting the party going and had a lot of great advice to make sure there was never a lull in the evening. He arrived on time, set everything up, and was very attentive the entire evening. And his price point for all that he did can not be beat! -

Off the Hook Entertainment was a phenomenal choice for our wedding day. Jason was there with us every step along the way to help us plan out the DJ services. He not only has a planning page on his site which makes it so easy to plan, his response time to an e-mail is never longer than 12 hours and he always answers every question we had. Without the planner page, we would have been totally lost, and what felt like it would be a daunting task was quick and easy with his page! He was also very realistic with us about the system and things we should have. He never once tried to push extra lights, or additional things onto us. We really wished our venue had the space for his photo booth system, but sadly it didn't. Jason was professional, yet approachable and laid back and was phenomenal with all of our guests. He quickly got a good read on what music was getting guests up and onto the dance floor and tailored the music with our requests from there. Overall, a fabulous experience!! -

My advice is to BOOK THIS VENDOR! My family has used Off The Hook Entertainment for multiple occasions but most recently my wedding. Since I have used Jason in the past, I contacted him for possible referrals in the North Carolina area and he quickly offered his services. Throughout the planning phase he was readily available for questions and input. The week before the wedding, we chatted on the phone for about an hour to iron out all of the details of the wedding day. The day before the wedding he made the long drive to Oak Island, NC. He made sure to have plenty of time so there would be no stress for me of whether he would make it or not. The set-up of our venue was a little more difficult then anticipated but Jason was able to make everything happen with a smile on his face. It was great to have a familiar face and going into the day, it made my stress significantly less because he was well prepared and had prepared me and my wedding party! It was a hot day but it didn't stop Jason. He did a lot of running around but made everything perfect. We appreciate his hard work and dedication. -

Jason Hook made the whole event effortless and it couldn't have gone better. Jason was very professional and asked all the right questions to make the event go smoothly. DJ Jason is really a wonderful person. He has been our DJ for our school dances for 10 years and he is a great value. His prices are reasonable and the quality of service is awesome. If you are in need of professional and inexpensive DJ he is the one to go with for your event. He keeps the dance floor hoping with all the new pop songs and some old pop songs from the past. DJ Jason Hook was very professional, he maintained communications with me and made himself available for any questions. The technology he supplied to help me in making my music selection was great, it helped tremendously in selecting music choices. Also, DJ Hook played music that all ages enjoyed. He played music prior to the start of the event, nice music while we had dinner, and when we were ready to PARTY, he turned it up. Yes, DJ Hook kept my guest on the floor, and that kept them TURNED UP. One of my guest sent a text that read, "The food was good, the music was good, the DJ was good, the party was the bomb.com." I selected Holiday Party since there wasn't a category for just "dance". Our school has used Off the Hook for several years for all our school dances. We just had the pleasure of working with Trevor for our Father/Daughter Dance and he did a fabulous job. He kept the girls dancing with appropriate song choices, including dances with the dads:) Everyone had a wonderful time and I have heard nothing bu positive feedback from the parents. Thanks! -

We were beyond pleased with DJ Hook's performance at our wedding this past weekend. His communication before and during the event was terrific! Meeting with him face to face before the event helped tremendously because he was able to provide us with his experience of wedding schedules and how many events play out. He also called a few days before our wedding to discuss the details and to make sure we were on the same page with the schedule. DJ Hook communicated with us throughout the event as well to ensure that we were pleased with how it was going. We highly recommend him! -

Off The Hook Entertainment LLC really came through for the wife and I during our wedding. We booked them at the last second and they responded. The DJ worked with us making sure that we received everything we wanted. The DJ really came through keeping our guests active and happy. The DJ showed up early and was ready for the event before it happened and was able to accomodate last second changes. The DJ did an excellent job with the wedding music and orchestrating the wedding reception. After all the planning you always worry how an event like this will work out. This company/dj did took that worry away. They did an outstanding job making our wedding and the following reception a memory that will last a lifetime. I will definitely use them again in the future. -

My Wife and I contracted "Off The Hook Entertainment" to provide services for our wedding reception on November 23rd, 2013. Jason Hook was in communication with us from the time of the contract until the day of our wedding and reception. Jason not only has a wonderful and user friendly website, but is passionate about his services and makes you feel like you are his only customer of the year. Jason's communication skills are awesome whether it be by phone, email, or in person. Jason did such a great job for us and we would recommend his services to anyone for any event. -

Wow! We were very uncertain of how to "select" a DJ going into this process, but Off the Hook Entertainment--and the DJ who was assigned to us, Angela Meggs, did an outstanding job and exceeded our expectations in every way possible. She met with us well in advance of the event to go over everything and then followed up with a conference call a few weeks out. She always asked us what we wanted, and when we gave a helpless look, she was always more than willing to provide her suggestions. She was exceptionally flexible and responsive--we even had a couple of minor changes two days before the wedding, which she was happy to accept. She did an incredible job of putting together our reception timeline, of communicating it to all the vendors (she even had one at our table so we could know what was coming up next), and of keeping everyone on track--including us. She also managed to do all of this patiently, professionally, and without being at all pushy. She also did the lighting for us, which really made the room look awesome. I provided lots of random song suggestions to her and told her to play them as she saw fit, and I was concerned because a number of my favorites aren't exactly dance songs. But, she was able to work in all of our requests (many during dinner) and kept the party dancing the whole time. She also had several creative ideas that added a little twist to some of the traditions. We got MULTIPLE compliments on her from our guests (even during the reception) and several people said "Where did you find her?" I really can't think of anything that could have been improved (and I'm usually pretty critical). Oh, and the value was incredible--the price point was MUCH lower than many others I found. Worth every penny! Thank you Angie, and thank you Off the Hook Entertainment! -

From our very first meeting, I knew that Jason would be a good fit for our wedding. He kept the reception going, gently reminding us of scheduled events, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. but was flexible if we needed him to be. The music was great and everyone had a wonderful time. He was very responsive and professional. Off the Hook was a great value giving us LOTS of service for a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend them for any event. -

We used this DJ service for our wedding reception. Our DJ, Jason, was very responsive during the entire process including the original meeting, and especially the weeks prior to the wedding. Our wedding ceremony ran late so unfortunately we had to make some changes with Jason during the reception to keep things on schedule. He was receptive to all the changes and made helpful suggestions. I highly recommend him. We actually knew of him because our friends used his service as well. He is very affordable but you do not have to sacrifice quality! -

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Jason was absolutley amazing and every single one of our guests had a great time, danced and really enjoyed themselves thanks to his music. Everything was great! He sent us a questionnaire which outlined all the songs which was extremely helpful because I had no idea how a wedding reception should look. He was also available and answered emails quickly. We worked out a place to meet that was convenient for both of us...he double and triple checked the songs were what we wanted and the names were exactly how we wanted them pronounced and in the right order...and if he didn't have a song he got it without charging more!
The day of he showed up in plenty of time and had everything set up and ready to go...we used him for the reception (inside) and the ceremony which was outside. He brought 2 systems which he set up. I didn't even know he was at the venue until I walked down the isle and saw him and heard the music...he had everything prepared beforehand and didn't need anything from me the day of. He was dressed very professionally (in a shirt and tie) and chose a color that didn't clash with my wedding colors.
We gave him an idea of the songs that we wanted played and he took it from there. Everything was great!! My guests had a great time and the dance floor was crowded the whole night!! Great price also. -

We hired Jason to be our DJ at our wedding on Oct. 16 2010. He did a wonderful job. He was professional and played all the music we wanted and some of his choice music as well. Almost everyone was dancing. He did a great job interacting with the crowd. He was awesome and reasonable. I would highly recommend Hook entertainment. -

Jason did an excellent job as the dj for my reception. He was very well priced and he met with me as soon as I called him to go over all the details of the reception. He was very flexible as I had to make a couple of song changes a couple weeks before the wedding. I also had to make a change in one of his announcement during the reception the day of the wedding! He played all the music I wanted and always made sure that we were ready before he moved on to something else. I would like to take the time to say that Mr.Hook did a wonderful job at our reception. He was on time, played all the songs we suggested along with makeing great suggestion for different events we held durning our reception. Made great suggestions on different songs to play for us. DJ Jason was exceptional to work with! As a busy bride planning her own wedding, he was always accomodating and helpful. I had some odd and special requests and he was more than willing to fulfill all my wishes and found all the songs I wanted and his price was very reasonable because, as I'm sure all brides do, I shopped around for the best for my money. He was very detail-oriented also, for example-he made sure to say everyone's name in my bridal party perfectly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or event! -

Jason was such an awesome DJ for our wedding! He called us a few days ahead of time to go over my music selection and he ended up spending over an hour with me on the phone helping to adjust my timeline and preparing me for what to expect the big day. He was very quick to respond and was extremely accommodating, even downloading an old 1930s song I requested that he didn't have in his library. We got married on May 13, 2017 at The Lodges at Gettysburg and had the pleasure of having Jason Hook DJ for our wedding. We were very pleased with how responsive he was via email, which worked perfectly for an out-of-town couple, and he knows music and wedding timelines very well.
