My husband was in charge of finding one vendor for the wedding - the photographer - and I am so grateful he found Corey! We would recommend Corey's photography a million times over because he proved to be the BEST when it came to his professionalism, the quality of his photos, and his ability to navigate the craziness of the big day. Corey was always communicative, prompt, and personable, which reassured us that he would deliver on his part of our special day. Brides - you know how important this factor is in reducing our astronomically high stress levels during the planning process! In terms of our photos, we were stunned at their sheer beauty and the story they told through his artistry. Corey brought to life the vision for our photos that we couldn't quite articulate before we saw the shots: edgy, hip, playful, but with a palpable romance that one sensed through the photos. These photos are symbolic of all of our seasons in SLO - the meeting, honeymoon stage, maturation as we grew together, and now marriage! From the details and moments he chose to shoot, all the incredible angles and techniques he used, to the poses and locations he had preselected for us, all the way to our impromptu photo locations in the middle of a lively Marsh St. and in front of a restaurant while I took off my heels - because he knew the shot he was capturing was THAT good - Corey knew what he was doing and it really impressed us. Another huge area that Corey thrived in was navigating the chaos of the day. Our wedding day had unexpected terrential downpour, but not to fear, Corey was mapping out alternate photo locations for us, and he was keeping track of the weather so that if and when it cleared, he would know! Well, low and behold, the clouds cleared and the sun shined through immediately after our ceremony and for the remainder of the evening, so we got our spectacular outdoor photos. Additionally, Corey helped mitigate miscommunications with our planners and vendors, which saved us from more than one catastrophe. Lastly, Corey delivered our 900 photo package of black and whites and color photos within one month of the wedding, which is far quicker than I've heard them coming in. The bottom line is that Corey is a well rounded photographer with a ton of professional wedding experience. Do yourself a favor and hire him! :) -

Corey and his team were absolutely incredible. From start to finish, Corey was calm, efficient, and so professional, even during the most hectic moments of the day. My husband and I kept saying to each other how amazing he was, and quite a bit of our family and friends came up to us to say the same.
Corey and his team have such a natural way of making you feel comfortable. My husband and I both usually hate being in front of the camera, but with Corey it never felt awkward, it felt easy, genuine, and authentic.
We’re beyond grateful we had Corey capture our day. He is truly so talented, I 100% recommend! -

Corey was a calm yet exciting energy. He jumped right in on the jokes with my family and it was like we had known him for years. As a 1 man show, he was seemingly everywhere all at once. Corey went above and beyond for us. He tried to leave a few times, but excitement kept coming on the dance floor and he stayed to get all the moments. I can’t praise Corey enough as a person, but beyond that his photography speaks for itself. He caught every lovely moment beautifully. I screamed out of excitement and joy when we got the previews back. Corey worked tirelessly to get us previews back within only a handful of days. His dedication to his trade striking. I’m not a yearly family photo kind of person, but Corey makes me want to do them twice a year 😂 I will hire Corey every single time, I will also encourage everyone I know to book Corey. He’s worth every penny -

Why hire Corey? His ability to see an authentic moment and capture it with perfection. We have had the absolute pleasure of having him to take our engagement photos and our wedding photos - the number one thing I have received the most compliments on is the quality of images that he has produced in both of those moments. I truly believe this is because he allows you to feel the moment - you don't feel like a camera is in your face and are posing for anything. He is just there to memorialize the feelings in each image he takes.
Outside of the ethereal pictures that he is able to just absolutely crush, he is both incredibly professional, kind, and fun to be around. We have truly enjoyed spending time with him in these anxious and intimate moments - he feels like a friend who happens to be there to take some ridiculously amazing photos.
My husband and I truly mean it when we say we found a photographer for life. There is absolutely no one I trust more than Corey to deliver a physical product of a memory that I will cherish forever. -

We love every single photo!
There are a few things we would do differently on our wedding day if we could, but choosing Ockenfoto as our photographer is not one of them. Corey is extremely professional, upbeat, organized, and personable. We are blown away not only by the quality of the photos but also the candid emotion and energy that Corey was able to capture in every photo. Thanks to Corey we will forever be able to relive our perfect day each and every time we look at our photos. -

Corey did a fantastic job capturing our special day. Both he and his assistant Bri were able to capture photos of us: getting ready, first touch, church service, bridal and groomsmen party, and other beautiful moments. I would recommend him to anyone looking for moments of their big day. -

Best Photographer EVER
Words cannot describe how fun it was to work with Ockenfoto. Corey made my wedding experience amazing. He was extremely flexible and knew how to help me as a kinda camera shy/nervous person have fun and relax and take amazing shots. 11/10 would recommend I will be hiring him again for any of my photo needs. His turn around was so fast and the photos he took were so incredibly beautiful. -

Corey did our wedding photography with another girl who we knew personally, turned out he was an amazing addition! We got top quality photos from both! Corey was very professional and got us our pictures in great time! Definitely use him for your wedding! -

Corey not only captures important moments on camera beautifully, he also knows how to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve had Corey take portraits of me, my engagement photos, and my wedding photos, and he’s made every experience so easy and fun, he is now my family’s go-to photographer. Our wedding day
Ockenfoto was an absolute dream of a team for our wedding. Our outdoor wedding had a forecast of rain and it really stressed me out, but Corey arrived the day of our wedding with such a positive attitude and really turned it around for everyone. The attention to detail and how flexible they were with the circumstances they were given (rain all throughout the morning) was amazing. They captured all the detail shots in THE RAIN and made them look absolutely stunning. The “getting ready” process wasn’t my priority to capture but I’m so glad they did because the shots were absolutely beautiful. Throughout the day we were so indulged in how magical the day turned out that I barely remember the photographers even being there! However, when we received the photos it was evident they were there and in every corner. The photos captured were absolutely stunning and my husband and I couldn’t wait to frame the prints he had for us. We received sneak peeks while on our honeymoon that had us in tears. Corey really had an eye for capturing exactly what the moment felt like. I’m so glad we invested in our photos because they’re perfect. We’re forever grateful for Corey’s talent. Make sure to book him, you will catch yourself looking at your wedding photos often. Weddings can be expensive, but if there’s one thing we feel is worth the investment it’s Corey’s photography and feeling the happiness you felt on your wedding day over and over is priceless. -
