Highly recommend!

Rev. Giz was truly incredible! To be honest, we had no clue how to plan/ formulate our ceremony and it’s one of the things I completely put on the back burner. Rev. Giz has an entire outline of the ceremony and you get to customize it however you’d like.
We met him at our rehearsal, so the evening before our wedding and honestly it felt like we’d been friends for years. He is very personable, funny but also professional.
I wouldn’t even think twice- he is your guy!

Amazing experience!

This reverend did an amazing job at creating a speech for our wedding that was perfect for US! He listened to what we wanted and delivered! It was hilarious and not too long. I would definitely recommend him to other couples!

The best!!

If you are reading this review, book Rev Giz right now!! We got married in June 2023 and he executed our ceremony PERFECTLY! My husband and I wanted a short, but meaningful, ceremony and he did exactly that. Some of our guests commented that it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to.

Highly recommend Reverend Giz for his warm & kind personality

Reverend Giz had some a warm and friendly personality, and he helped to put my husband and I at ease. One of our guests even commented that they thought we had already known him before since we were so comfortable with him! He clearly loves what he does and he made both the rehearsal and the ceremony run smoothly! His sense or humor also was appreciated during such an emotional moment for my husband and I! We would highly recommend Reverend Giz for officiating your wedding!

Incredible!!!

Rev. Giz was so wonderful as our officiant for our wedding. He was very personable while also maintaining a high level of professionalism! Even though the Friday before our wedding was the first time we had officially met, it felt like we had known him for years! I received compliments from multiple guests about what a great job he did! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality officiant who puts your wishes as the priority for your special day & makes you feel like you’re family!

Rev Giz is the officiant you need!

We had the pleasure of Rev Giz marrying us in October of 2021. He was funny, professional, easy going, and spoke beautifully! He even ran our rehearsal and made us all feel at ease before our big day. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

Perfect Day

Jeffery was a pleasure to have as our officiant. He was willing to get up at sunrise and take a boat ride to perform a sunrise service and communication was very responsive through the process. Jeffery is very down to earth and was the perfect person to share our special day with.

Rev Giz is the Man.

We had the pleasure of having Rev. Giz as our officiant at our wedding this past July. We were initially at a loss trying to find a good fit for what we wanted, and were introduced to Giz via our wedding planner. Giz made the experience personal, and prior to our wedding, took the time to meet with us and get to know us and uncover what it was we would be looking for in our ceremony. While we both come from Catholic families, we by no means wanted a full mass, but wanted to be sensitive to our families and their expectation of "sacraments" in some capacity. We wanted to be in and out in ten minutes flat, but still have ceremony be meaningful. Giz totally got that, listened to us, adapted to what we wanted and far exceeded our expectations in his delivery. He is extremely sentimental, well spoken, and very funny - and not in a cheesy officiant way which we so appreciated. Giz had the most important job at our wedding, and we are so happy he got to be part of our special day. We consider him a friend now. We would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for the perfect balance of tradition, humor, and sentimentality.

Great Person, Fantastic Officiant

My wife and I were married this year, 11/11/2019. From the start, reverend Giz went above and beyond to help us create a very special ceremony. He took the time to get to know us in person and really made a great effort to understand us as a couple. Instead of giving us a plain or generic service outline, he adapted a unique ceremony that made captured everything that I, my wife, and our families valued. He walked us through every step and took all the stress out of the process so that we were left with a beautiful and perfect moment. Also, Giz is a fantastic speaker. He is clear, precise with his words, and above all a great listener. He is hilarious, very professional in person, and a great guy all around! Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing! Look no further.

Jeffery was all we could’ve hoped for and more. He met all of our requests/hopes for the ceremony, but also went above and beyond by offering us advice for the day of and being a nice calming presence immediately leading up to the big moments. Pretty sure every wedding guest came up and praised the ceremony, most thinking he was a close family member. No way we could’ve found someone so great just online. DONT LOOK FURTHER, Jeffrey knocked it out of the park. Thanks again Jeffrey for help making our day everything we dreamed of !

We are so thankful that Rev. Giz performed our son's wedding ceremony. He was very accommodating, allowing a relative to translate part of the ceremony into another language for us, so that all present would understand what was being said. Our family is not very religious, and he prepared a ceremony that was contemporary with some religious parts, which was a perfect balance. We did not follow many of the usual wedding traditions, and Rev. Giz had no problem going with our unusual flow, which eased our overall stress level tremendously. He was a perfect gentleman, and allowed the bride and groom to be the focal point. We could not be happier with his services and recommend him highly!

Reverend Gisriel was wonderful! We struggled to find someone who would be able to marry us, it is such a huge decision to make! He made us feel comfortable with the whole process. After watching our ceremony on video, I realized how amazing Jeffrey truly was! With all of the weather elements/funny bloopers that were thrown our way, the video reminded us of how well he handled everything with professionalism and humor. Every anniversary, we are thankful for such a beautiful and unique ceremony. We call it our "perfectly imperfect" ceremony because it was so "US"! I can't tell you how many people said that our ceremony was so amazing and felt so personal and that is all thanks to Jeffrey!

We are soooo happy we chose Rev. Giz to officiate our ceremony on the beach in Rehoboth. After interviewing several officiants, we decided we wanted to work with him because of his experience, sincerity, and the way we connected. We knew he would be able to make our ceremony special and give it the gravitas we sought. He did exactly that! Rev. Gisriel was very flexible and easy to work with as we determined how we wanted our ceremony to go. His experience paid off as he thought of details and questions that never occurred to us. We just had our wedding on 10/10/2015. We had Rev. Giz as our Officiant and it was AMAZING. Why amazing? Because he is the best.The personality, the service was perfect. I had Jeffrey Gisriel as our officiant. From our first phone call was really all that was needed, he made us feel so much better and really is the kind of guy where you meet him once and automatically feel like you've known him your whole life! He was super nice and got everyone to laugh during the ceremony which really helped the vibe stay upbeat and positive! The wording was perfect! Short but straight to the point! What can I NOT say about Rev. Giz? From the get go, he's been super approachable. He was very good at explaining what I needed to bring, what to expect and more. My husband and I didn't meet him until like 20 minutes before the ceremony (well..... my husband) and I didn't meet him until I reached the end of the aisle. We had a beach wedding on 9/13/15 and the ceremony was done so incredibly well. Dear husband told me that Rev. Giz gave him pointers on what to expect and reminded him to breathe as my dad walked me down the aisle. Completely professional, and worth it. During the time immediately following the ceremony and during the reception, my friends and family complimented me on the wonderful service our friend did for us. No one believed that we had not ever met him before. We had the option to have him at the rehearsal dinner, but opted not to do this, and believe me, Rev. Giz can make it seem like he's been your best friend for years even when he's not ever met you until the biggest day of your life! HIGHLY recommended.

Revered Gisriel officiated our beach ceremony on 8/15/15 and was an absolute treat. Jeffrey was incredibly accommodating, has an awesome sense of humor, and truly made our ceremony so special and heartfelt. We we're extremely happy that he was able to join us for our rehearsal as doing so made the big day go off without a hitch. He was more than willing to make any changes we asked of for our ceremony script and we were told there wasn't a dry eye in the house!! Rev Giz was an absolute pleasure to work with and we absolutely recommend him!

Reverend Gisriel was fantastic! We picked him based off the great reviews online and they proved right! Jeffrey was so easy to work with and replied to my emails quickly. Reverend Gisriel was awesome. Planning a wedding in Va. from Pa. was a little difficult at times- he was able to smooth things out and ease my mind when I had concerns. We made a slight change in venue the day of the event- Rev Gis was totally flexible. Our guests loved the service- we had many compliments after our service that Rev. Gis was perfect. It was a casual outdoor wedding- and he had the guests laughing and enjoying themselves- They actually wanted to and enjoyed listening to every word!

'Rev Giz' was fantastic! Several people asked us how we knew him...we didn't! You'd never have known, though. I spoke to him via phone on the afternoon of the wedding, my husband met him in the hotel lobby a few minutes before the ceremony, and we'd completed an information form online previously. Since we'd wanted a beach ceremony and the weather wasn't cooperating, he was extremely flexible as we waited and figured out an alternative (I didn't want to do it on the dance floor of the reception venue), and literally went with the flow as my groom and his buddy came up with the perfect plan. Jeff's speeches fit our style, crowd, and timeline as if well-rehearsed. He even agreed to take our pro photographer's camera (a close friend), climb up on the lifeguard stand, and snap several full group photos for us so the photographer could be in them. He was a big part of the perfect wedding!!!

Jeff did an amazing job! If it weren't for him my husband would have been a nervous wreck waiting for me to walk down the isle. He still tells me to this day that Jeff put him at ease and made this process a lot less "scary" than he thought it would be. Jeff conducted our rehearsal the evening before and made sure to answer any last minute questions up until we began the ceremony. Jeff was flexible with the sandcastle contest that was occurring at the same time as our ceremony. He made sure that the guests were happy while waiting and kept the ceremony lighthearted, simple, and it truly spoke to how we are as a couple. Highly recommend!

My husband and I HIGHLH recommend Rev. Giz to everyone looking for an officiant. We heard about him from other couples and could not have been any happier with him and his service! Being that we planned a wedding all the way from Ohio, we never got the pleasure of meeting Jeffrey until 20 minutes before the wedding and we were not disappointed! He kept in touch with us via e-mail and was very prompt with returning any questions or concerns we had. Thank you, Jeffrey for being that perfect puzzle piece to our special day! I have very high standards and my wedding was clearly a very important personal event. My first choice would have been someone I already knew but was dismayed when I discovered the difficulty in such a task with needing to be ordained in different states etc- BUT .......it was a blessing because we found Jeffrey and he was perfect! He fit right in. He is excellent at determining your style and adapting to it. He is funny, personal, professional with depth and a thoughtfulness - you are lucky to get him if he is available- snatch him up!

Reverend Gisriel was phenomenal. We met him the day before the wedding and felt like we knew him for years. My husband and I planned our wedding from 3 hours away which led to me having to make a lot of choices and selections through email and phone. I was referred to Jeffrey Gisriel from our wedding venue and I knew after communicating with him through email the first time he would be the right guy for the job. I didn’t meet Jeffrey until the day before our wedding and we felt as if we had known him for years. He was very professional, funny, friendly and most of all seemed to "fit right in" with our wedding party and family. Jeffrey took charge of the rehearsal and I left there feeling so good and prepared for the wedding day. There are no words to describe how perfect our wedding day was and we owe a huge part of that to Jeffrey. He was such a pleasure to have as our officiant and so many of my guests said they really enjoyed his ceremony. If you are undecided about who to use for your wedding officiant, I have no doubt in my mind you will be more than pleased and so happy if you choose Jeffrey.

With one day to prepare Reverend Gisriel was on point. He made our ceremony more special than I thought was possible. He even made our daughter say vows and we gave her a Ring Pop as a token of the ceremony for her. I wholly recommend Rev. Gisriel for your special event.

Reverend Gisreal did an amazing job at our wedding. When we had rain threaten to cancel our outdoor beach ceremony, he waited patiently with us until the rain had passed, and performed an excellent ceremony for my husband and I. He was funny, endearing, and really great to work with. We received many compliments from our friends and family on the ceremony, and we are both so happy that he married us.

Jeff did a wonderful job for our wedding! We wanted something simple on the beach for our small gathering. We took one of his suggested programs and we added our own touch. Rev. Giz was perfect for us. Given ours was a slightly long distance wedding, most of our communication was email. He answered my emails very quickly. I never had to wait for a response from him. Our first meeting, he spent alot of time trying to get to know us so he could taylor the ceremony to fit our personalities. He is VERY funny and personable. We heard throughout the reception from many guests - he was great, where did you find him? He helped make our day the perfect day that it was.

Rev Gis could not have been better!! The ceremony that he wrote for us was both personal and beautiful. People were talking about the ceremony all night long and continue to mention how much they loved it to us today. I also really loved the bits of humor that he injected into it. Reverend Giz was there on time for our rehearsal and the wedding. He helped usher people to where they needed to be to keep our events moving and he even accomodated some last minute changes we had to make due to weather. He was very personable and I would hire him to marry us again!! I will ask him to perform our ceremony again when we go for our vow renewal!

I could not be more pleased that I found Jeffrey Gisriel and asked him to be the officiant for our wedding. My husband and I are not religious and do not attend church so there was no obvious candidate to be our officiant. From the beginning, I was concerned about selecting someone I didn't know and who didn't know us to perform our ceremony on one of the most important days of our lives. I saw that Rev. Giz had fabulous reviews and decided to contact him. From our first phone conversation I could tell he would be perfect for us. He is very easy-going and charismatic. My husband and I had no idea what went into performing a ceremony and Rev. Giz was there to help us every step of the way. He provided a sample ceremony script which we were able to edit to our own liking. He gave us ideas about making our ceremony unique and still remain non-denominational, such as having a sand ceremony. At the rehearsal, he took charge and had everyone practice the ceremony quickly without being rude or bossy. The ceremony on the actual day went flawlessly. I received so many comments from my family and guests about how wonderful it was, most especially the words Rev. Giz said and how thoughtfully he delivered them! Everyone asked how long we'd known him and were shocked to hear we had only just met in person the day before! They mentioned that the way he spoke was as if he'd known us for years. I would definitely recommend Jeffrey Gisriel to officiate your ceremony. Not to mention, his rates are extremely reasonable and far below others I have contacted!

Gis is the best. Period. He is always a professional, without being rigid, in any way. Our wedding ceremony was completely customized to us, with Gis's help, and was just what we wanted it to be: different from everyone else's, while still being traditional enough to feel like a wedding. He gets extra points for dealing so well with our crazy group at the rehearsal, and taking everything in stride. Bringing both fun and order to our insanity is no small task, but Gis is (again) THE BEST!!!

We live 4 hours away & was little concern about getting a minister & not metting him before the big day. Well after my first conversation with Rev Jeff Giz that all went away. He was down to earth. listened. answered all my questions & made me feel relaxed & comfortable he would take care of everything and he did. Always kept in touch either by phone or email up to the day of the wedding. The day of the wedding Rev Giz made everyone smile, feel relax, the ceremony was great including our vowels he wrote & the sand candle was awesome we would both like to say we would Highly Recommend Rev Giz**

Jeffery is in a word….. Amazing! Our wedding was pretty last minute due to my school schedule and hospital clinical rotation; mixed with a last minute need for health insurance. Never the less, Jeffery eased our anxieties with his casual demeanor and light hearted sense of humor. When the day arrived, his conduct was more than professional, noted in the way he gathered our guest together, kept everyone’s attention with his eloquent words which brought both humor and smiles combined with a few wet eyes, as he acknowledged the spirits of my parents as they are no longer with us. If my husband and I had it to do over again, even with all the time and money in the world, we would definitely have Jeffery officiating. Thus it is our utmost pleasure to recommend Jeffery. If you are looking for someone with a sense of humor, but who remains professional, someone who is down to earth, well-organized, and has a great presence, you need to contact Rev Giz! Not only did he make our beach wedding ceremony beautiful with the vows we wrote, he was very pleasant, he kept things light-hearted and less stressful than wedding plans needs to be. Jeffrey was wonderful. I surprised my husband and daughter with a vow renewal service for our 10th anniversary. After shoveling out after the blizzard of 2010, we were fortunate to have a sunny, yet chilly sand ceremony on the beach in Bethany Beach. Since this was all a suprise for the family, I was doing all the organizing on my own. Jeffrey helped me with our vows, even communicating with me while on vacation from Florida. He was able to write our vows to include our 6-year old in the ceremony, making her an integral part of our event. Our service was perfect for our family - low-key, romantic, and very fun. We could not have asked for a more intimate ceremony. Whether large and formal, or in our case, small and informal, Jeffrey would be the perfect choice for a couple's special day.

Jeffrey was very prompt in responding to all of my inquiries, and was available on very short notice. He was friendly but professional. He asked me to supply a background story about myself and my spouse, and then used that information to write custom wedding vows for us, which I absolutely loved. Rev. Gisriel comes highly recommended from my husband and I. His flexibilty and knowledge of the marital ceremony helped us plan a wedding in a month. From the moment I spoke to Rev. Giz I knew he was the perfect officiant for the type of ceremony my husband and I chose to have. He wrote a beautiful arrangement of vows incorporating contemporary and Irish traditions at a VERY reasonable price. From the moment I found Rev Giz and emailed him, he responded to me immeditely. He answered every question I had no matter what it was. He kept in contact with me until the day I was married which was a several months time span. He helped me with information on obtaing my wedding license in Maryland. Words can't express how happy my husband and I were with our decision to have Jeffrey officiate our beach wedding ceremony. He was so professional yet added little touches of humor to keep us relaxed and focused on each other. We.communicated via email and only met the day before our wedding but our guests (and we did) felt like he knew us a long time. The whole ceremony from thru readings to the welcome and actual marriage part..everything felt like it was written just for us. Our guests can't stop talking about how sweet and fun our ceremony was. I highly recommend Jeffrey Gisriel as a wedding officiant. We had exceptionally bad weather during an outside ceremony and Jeffrey kept a clear head and continued on as if nothing had happened. Someone told us that Jeff is like a friend that walks through your door. And he is. Laid back and fun and easy to work with.

Jeff worked with us to put together the ceremony that we wanted. His experience with various non-traditional cermonies was certainly valuable. He was familiar with what we had in mind and even had samples from which we could work to develop our own.

There was a period during which Jeff was going through some serious transitions and was hard to reach. But that cleared up and was fine through the wedding.

Jeff was very flexible with scheduling meetings prior to the wedding and through last minute changes.

Very professional with an excellent sense of humor he kept the ceremony from being boring. Even reminded me to breathe as I was watching Katie walk down the aisle...

It was a real pleasure to work with Jeff.

Jeffrey was a great wedding officiant. Since he was from the area he helped me find places in Ocean City to go to. He always responded to my emails as soon as he got them.

We found Rev. Giz here on Wedding Wire and after reading all the great reviews, I just knew he would fit perfectly with our wedding. We ended up emailing back and forth a few times and we booked him without meeting him. I was a bit nervous about never meeting him but when we finally did a few months before the wedding all my nerves went away. He made us feel so calm and relaxed and confident in our decision to book him. He sent us several sample vows and was receptive to some samples we sent him. Rev. Giz totally left it up to us to design the ceremony that fit us and I am so pleased with how it all turned out!

We only had one issue, where he was 15 minutes late to the ceremony and never called us but we were able to contact him. The ceremony was short and sweet just how we wanted so the time delay didn't end up affected us in the long run. The only other thing I would say is he was much easier to get in contact with by phone rather than email since I had many un-returned emails, but that was not such a big deal.

Rev. Giz was a fantastic addition to our wedding! He was positive, supportive, and encouraging, and did a great job officiating our wedding ceremony. He helped my fiance and me in writing our own ceremony, and provided very valuable feedback in finalizing the ceremony. On the day of the wedding, he was wonderful - providing support to both my father and my fiance in the moments leading up to my arrival and the start of the ceremony. He completely took control over the signing and handling of the marriage licenses, which my husband and I really appreciated as one less distraction to keep us from enjoying our reception!

Overall, I would highly recommend Rev. Giz to anyone, and look forward to staying in touch with him post-wedding.

Initially, I was going to plan a traditional wedding, however, the more I thought about it, I wanted just an intimate ceremony with my close friends and family, which is not a large number of people. My traditional wedding quickly turned into an escapade to see how fast I could pull everything together! We're talking 3-4 days, maximum. I looked up "officiants" near Salisbury, MD on Wedding Wire.com and found Rev Giz's name and information. I e-mailed him and within minutes, he responded within minutes and was willing to officiate my marriage ceremony 4 days later. Even if I had procured all the other necessities (i.e. location, friends, restaurant), I wouldn't have been able to have had my "quickie wedding" without Rev Giz's help.

Rev. Giz organized the ceramony for us and let us put personal touches in, as well. He was on time (very important) and even hung out with us and our guests to celebrate afterwards. We would recommend him to anyone.

We went with Rev Giz because of all of the phenomenal reviews we read. His price was about the same as most other officiants in the area so that didn't play much of a factor. Giz was responsive to emails and when we met with him months before our wedding we were very happy with our choice.

However, the weekend of our wedding and after, our feelings changed. The night of our rehearsal Rev Giz was 15 minutes late, a fellow officiant (we did not know before this that the operation was more than just Giz) was there to tell us that Giz was running late. The rehearsal was impersonal and Rev Giz was less than warm. The day of our wedding the groom walked on the beach to find Rev Giz no where in sight without so much as a phone call to the Bride or Groom. The other officiant from the rehearsal was to be our "stand-in" because Giz had "an emergency". The stand-in, Rod, actually did a great job, but told us nothing about what was being done with the marriage certificate. This all left us a little disappointed, but facebook postings and pictures proving that Giz's emergency was actually another wedding is beyond a disappointment! We booked Giz 10 months in advance - to double book is unprofessional, especially on a day of such importance!

WE WERE PLEASED WITH ROD - HE WAS GREAT! However, Rev. Giz did NOTHING to put us at ease. He didn't even call us to tell us he couldn't make it...because he had booked another wedding. I WOULD HAVE BEEN EASILY PLEASED IF YOU HAD SHOWN UP AS PROMISED AND PAID FOR!
