  My experience here was great. Wonderful staff especially Lynda and Alexis! They made things easy for me when it came to planning for my wedding. There was bridal shows and vendors to select from on their website. Just the sweetest ladies I know. The location is very beautiful I highly recommend the venue for any special occasion.

  The Perfect Venue!

  Oakhurst was the perfect setting for our wedding! The building is beautiful with the wrap around porch, and the property makes for a stunning backdrop for the photos. They take care of setting the venue you up, so that all you have to do is enjoy your day!

  I love Ms. Linda. She is so sweet and a joy to work with. When I went to view the venue she was very welcoming. She was up front with her pricing. Even though I didn't book with her that day, she provided me with a list of her preferred vendors. The venue itself exceeded my expectations. The bridal suite is exceptional compared to some other venues I viewed. I would most definitely recommend Oakhurst.

  Oakhurst is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen, and that is completely unbiased ;) I fell in love with the ability of the venue being indoor/outdoor. It allowed for our guests to dance the night away and then take a break by enjoying the beautiful gardens. The staff was very easy to work with and they were very sweet. There was a point at the beginning of our reception that my husband and I were being held upstairs and the staff was so sweet to bring us our dinner because it was going to be the only time we would have to ourselves to eat.
  
  I would recommend Oakhurst to all future brides!! It truly is worth every penny!

  This venue was just amazing. They made it easy to plan a wedding and they offered advice and services. From the moment i walked in I was in love with the owners and how gorgeous the venue is. On top of what they offer your ( that will help with any budget) there are so many photo opportunities in their garden , near their pond, on the bridge, or by the waterfall areas. They have created an amazing atmosphere at their venue and everyone who is looking to get married in the area should visit to make that decision themselves.

I drove to visit and was stunned by its natural beauty and the perfect set-up for a wedding. Lynda and Lon Marlowe have truly created an Eden and show such great care for this place. Between events, there are always people working diligently on the grounds. Lynda herself likes to do a little something special and unique with her decorating touches for each event. In fact, I had do very little of my own decorating because the venue is so naturally exquisite and so tastefully adorned.
  
  The Glen is perfect for both intimate and larger outdoor ceremonies, and walking "down the aisle" across the quaint covered bridge was one of my favorite parts! There are lots of little spots tucked away around the grounds that are perfect for photo shoots, with flower beds, lamp posts, stone benches, and beautiful trees. It's only a very brief walk from the Glen to the lodge with its massive stone fireplace, plenty of room for tables, and a wide staircase from the balcony. It was wonderful to have the bridal suite and groom suite upstairs - easy access to all the wedding events.
  
  And may I just say that Alexis Paul was the most gracious, generous, and efficient wedding coordinator! She was always prompt in returning my phone calls and her expertise made everything about the wedding run smoothly. She kept track of things and made sure that things went the way I wanted. She was extremely helpful in the planning process but was not pushy or over-involved. She made anything Oakhurst had in decor available to me at no extra cost.

  I am so pleased with Oakhurst! They did a fabulous job helping me plan the wedding and provided a great venue. We had the location for the entire day, which was helpful for setting up and getting ready. I had two wedding planners, Kristin and Kara, who did an excellent job and answered all my questions. Thanks to them, I was able to have my dream wedding!

Alexis and Lynda were both so friendly and accommodating for our wedding day. They went out of their way to make sure everything was just what we wanted and that the day ran smoothly. They were in constant communication with my fiance and I and at the time I was in Canada and he was in Georgia, so collaboration and communication was essential to our wedding planning, yet they made it extremely easy to accomplish this. The day of the wedding they were effecient, resourceful, thoughtful, and professional. I cannot say enough about Oakhurst. THe facility is beautiful, people are warm, and very informed on how to produce amazing weddings and other events. Being there the day of my wedding made me relaxed and allowed me not to worry about anything. I highly recommend Oakhurst Event Facility to any bride who asks!!!

  This venue is awesome. The price includes decor, coordinator and a lovely locale to make your wedding as elegant or as laid back as you'd like. We had a little bit of trouble communicating with our coordinator but nothing that caused any issues with the wedding itself. Linda Marlow is the owner and a delight to work with.For the price, this place is your best pick!

  This venue is absolutely gorgeous and worth the money for a package deal. The team leaders responsible for answering emails were very professional and responded quickly to all emails.
  The team members working the venue the day before and the day of were a different story. Upon arriving with our entire wedding party for rehearsal the day before the aisle was blocked by a truck full of chairs. We had to track an employee down to ask that it be moved so we could rehearse the cadence in walking for the time slot. This should have been handled for a scheduled rehearsal. Also we noticed the grounds had many cobwebs, dirty floors, no plants were hanging as per... Read more

The groom asked the employee if this would be handled before the ceremony the following day and they said yes but it was not. Hours before the ceremony leading up to the first guests arriving my groom was cleaning the venue, hanging plants and removing ant beds by HIMSELF because it had not been taken care of. During our reception I (bride) had to track down a team member who seemed to be hiding in the kitchen to request they continue cutting our wedding cake because we ran out of slices for our guests. Why should I have to do that at all?
  We loved the venue and the management team but were sorely disappointed in the staff running the show the day of.

  Beuatiful location and the reception and ceremony coordinators are wonderful. They seem to be going through some changes with contracts so some miscommunication. Overall a great place to have your special day we loved it.

  The venue is truly gorgeous, and when I first met with the woman who runs it, I was excited to work with her and had very high hopes for a great experience. That’s really the only good thing I can say about our dealings with the venue. We continually got the run-around on our contract, and there were several instances where we were told something was included with the package we purchased only to be told later that we were supposed to pay extra for the very same thing. Oakhurst has too many people in leadership positions, and nobody has a clue what the other has told a client, so you can ask the same question and get at least three different answers. For example, I requested that our rehearsal take place the night before the wedding FIVE MONTHS in advance and was told that’d be fine, and I confirmed this one month before the wedding, still being told we were all set. Two weeks before the wedding, I mentioned the rehearsal in passing and was told that it’d be impossible to have a rehearsal on that date because they had another wedding scheduled for that day, and I wouldn’t be receiving preferential treatment over that bride. Not only was the tone of the email rude, but I also confirmed our rehearsal date several times only to never even be notified when there was a change. Had I not mentioned it in passing, my entire wedding party would’ve shown up for the rehearsal and unintentionally crashed someone else’s wedding! The rehearsal wound up taking place in the owners’ back yard, and to compensate for all the last-minute hassle, they offered to reimburse us for the fee we were charged to rent wine glasses (note: our original contract said all china, crystal, etc was included in our package; the wine glasses were one of the other areas where we were deceived because, according to them, crystal used to serve alcohol falls into a different category). We still have not received this reimbursement. I gave the venue a little credit only because it was such a pretty site, but it’s very poorly run, and I was incredibly disappointed in the lack of service. When I voiced concerns a few months prior to the wedding about another issue that had arisen, I was told that if I had such a problem with the venue, I was more than welcome to find another one, but they wouldn’t return our deposit or any of the payments we had made to them (a total of $2800 at this point) unless they were able to rebook on our date.
  
  I’ve already gone over many of my complaints with the venue itself, so most of this will focus on our day-of wedding coordinator. She was assigned to us by Oakhurst Farm a couple of weeks before the wedding. Since she had not been working with us throughout the entire planning process, she came in at the last minute completely clueless (this, however, is the fault of the venue’s disorganization; not hers. Nonetheless, it was inconvenient and not the smartest way to arrange things!). At our meeting, we went over a number of things in very specific detail. I drew her a picture and labeled it of how things should be set up for the wine ceremony, which was an integral part of our marriage rite. At the wedding, my mother set this up at the last minute because the planner hadn’t made the first move to do so, even though I had already requested that it be taken care of several times. My mother also told her several times that a wine glass needed to be placed with everything else because the glasses were theirs and she hadn’t had access to them in order to place it down there with everything else. She never bothered to do so, so we wound up having to drink straight out of the carafe (tons of fun when wearing a white dress with an audience of 100 plus people!). I also wrote out a seating chart for her at our meeting so that she’d know how to seat my parents during the ceremony. The arrangement was supposed to be, from the aisle to the end of the row: my mother, her fiancé, my stepmother, and finally my father. Unfortunately, she never followed this through at all, and the owner of the venue told my mother’s fiancé that he wasn’t part of my family and had to move, thus leaving my mother to sit with her ex-husband and his wife. She was incredibly uncomfortable, and most of the wedding guests were confused as to which woman was my mother. We had a DOZEN guests (literally, a dozen) complain about being treated rudely by the planner throughout the reception. One guest was even told that he couldn’t sit at his seat with his fiancée because that’s where the planner said she wanted to sit the cake plates. She also insisted that we fake a departure for pictures even though we had no plans of doing anything in particular for this (we didn’t buy anything to throw or anything like that). She never made it clear to guests that this departure was fake, just went around rushing people out the door and taking drinks away from them. Most of the guests got confused and went home, and many of those few who understood what was going on left anyway because they were offended by being hurried out the door so rudely, so our reception was an hour shorter than it was supposed to be. She didn’t even show up at the venue until maybe an hour before the wedding was to start, so she wasn’t even there to fix some of the other issues that arose. I wound up doing most of my day-of coordination myself, and what was taken care of by her was done either rudely, incorrectly, or after insistent prodding by my mother or myself. Unfortunately, I can’t think of a single nice thing to say about her performance.
