As two hikers who love the adirondacks we really wanted to give our guests a little bit of the hiking experience, Oak Mountain is truly the perfect venue for this! We cannot say enough great things about Oak Mountain!! They made our day truly spectacular and were our favorite wedding vendor to work with. Right from the beginning, Laura, their wedding coordinator, was a dream to work with. She must have answered over 100 emails from me over the course of our year planning our wedding. She was so easy to work with and was able to answer our questions quickly every time! The view from the top of the mountain was spectacular. All our guests enjoyed the chairlift ride, even the ones who were a little nervous about it at first. They really slow the chair lift down to make everyone feel safe and comfortable. The food was fantastic! We highly recommend the mac and cheese and the sweet potato pave! Guests were so impressed with the food. They worked with us to create signature cocktails that would fit in our budget and also turned out so delicious. The outdoor area is magical with a fire pit for anyone who doesn't want to participate in loud music and dancing and we were able to have lawn games set up as well! We had a large wedding with 175 guests and everyone had so much fun with the different hang out spaces, ballroom, outdoor area, and bar area. Laura and her team were so easy to work with to schedule, set up and pick up our wedding decor. Honestly if you are thinking of booking this venue, don’t hesitate!! Laura and Matt are true gem of humans--the entire staff at Oak Mountain welcomed us with smiles and made us feel at home. It was a beautiful experience, and from the moment my wife and I met Laura and went to the top of Oak Mountain we knew that THIS was the place for us to get married. I can go on and on about how special this place is.
The staff made us feel so welcomed and appreciated.
Laura and Matt were readily available and answered all of our (admittedly a lot!) questions. They know what they're doing and they helped us throughout the entire way.
Oak Mountain is gorgeous and a special place to get married. I can't stop smiling from seeing my Miamian families and my bride, our families and friends take the ski lift up the mountain. And having the back drop of the Adirondacks as you make that commitment is a true delight.
The staff: I can't be effusive enough, they made us feel so welcomed--like we were getting married in our own home. The staff feel like family and I think that Laura and Matt and the community have a lot to do with this special feeling.
I wish that I could go back and re-live that day! If you're thinking about Oak Mountain as a wedding venue, I fully support the decision. It's a special place and a place you'll want to keep coming back to. I can't wait to come back.
My wife and I got married in early October 2025, peak fall foliage (it was stunning), and had about 180 guests attend.
The food was damn good, and the bar was rolling (we had a satellite bar at the top of the mountain and had an ongoing tab bar at the venue down the mountain). We did Ben & Jerry's for dessert and our guests really enjoyed it. We had Brown Transportation help take our guests to and from the wedding (I enjoyed being back in a big ol' yellow school bus and our guests enjoyed the convenience!)
Major shout out to the town of Speculator--they welcomed us with open arms and it's a kind community who helped us out as we planned and our families and friends came to town for our big day.
(I can't remember his name, but there was a staff member that gave me some acorn seeds from Oak Mountain after we got married. He told me to plant them so I can always have a piece of Oak Mountain with us. Just letting you know I planted them brother!)

My husband and I just had our wedding at oak mountain this year. Laura and Matt made the wedding process easy and stress free. If you’re looking to find a wedding venue, this is the perfect one. Laura was in constant communication with us making sure we had the best experience for our big day. Her kindness and patience put me at ease throughout the entire day. I knew I could leave all the coordinating up to her and everything turned out perfect! Thank you so much Laura for allowing us to have our dream wedding here at Oak Mountain.

Our wedding day couldn't have gone more perfect! From the moment we started putting plans in place, Laura, Matt and her team were there to assist us with every step. Laura was so kind, easy to reach, did a great job providing support when we needed help figuring out details, and kept everything organized for us. The entire venue itself was stunning and beautiful...the mountaintop views, sunset, dinner selections, dance floor/table set-up and and attentive staff all made the day run so smooth and special for us. We had an amazing wedding and enjoyed working with Laura and the team at Oak Mountain. The venue is gorgeous and also holds special meaning for our family.
We had a mountaintop ceremony with incredible views. Right after the ceremony our guests enjoyed music, horderves, and satellite bar while we had our photos taken. We were so lucky to have perfect weather. One of the many great moments (and a rare moment alone) was riding down the chairlift together as husband and wife.
We held our rehearsal dinner on Friday night at Oak Mountain. The food was outstanding at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. Many guests continue to rave about the food to us. Our guests had a great time and everything ran so smoothly with Laura's help. The whole staff at Oak Mountain was committed to us having the best day of our lives and it showed.Oak Mountain's reply:

Throughout the whole experience from hire to wedding day, and even to the day after when things were picked up, the crew at Oak was outstanding! Every question was answered. Every request handled. And, with professionalism and a smile! The food was incredible. The stunning Adirondack scenery, exciting chairlift ride, and fun vibe of the cocktail area, Acorn Pub and Eatery, and the ballroom made for a meaningful and memorable event. Oak Mountian is the best place to have a wedding! They are very organized plus the view is gorgeous. They made my wedding dreams come true and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Perfect Wedding, Perfect Venue, Amazing people to work with!!
Oak Mountain gave us the perfect day we dreamt of, and Laura was a huge part of why it was so perfect! We felt like our wedding was lovingly cared about and felt heard, and she is such a warm, kind person to work with! Absolutely Amazing!
Our wedding at Oak Mountain was absolutely perfect!! Laura and all of the staff at Oak Mountain are the most kind, patient, flexible and fun people. Laura is absolutely amazing and makes sure the wedding planning process is as stress free as possible, she is very organized and goes out of her way to help make your day special. Oak Mountain is absolutely beautiful and gives your guests such a unique experience, getting to ride a ski lift to overlook mountains for the ceremony. Our friends and family raved about the views, how beautiful the reception hall is and most importantly the food! SO many guests told us that it was the best food they have every had at a wedding and we agree! The reception room is naturally beautiful with little decoration needed. Oak Mountain is a small family run business so they are so sure to make you feel special. They also only have one wedding per weekend so that you are able to set up the reception space exactly how you want it the day before the wedding, and they allow you to come back the following morning to pick up your things, so you do not have to stress the night of. I could go on and on all day, they were so amazing and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. We would choose Oak Mountain for our wedding a million times over. My husband and I will be back many times this winter to ski and eat at the Acorn Pub!

We highly recommend Oak Mountain as a wedding venue for those who love the outdoors. The mountain top ceremony was beautiful and all of our guests loved the chairlift rid to the top. Laura was very easy to work with and was always very responsive. When we had to reschedule our wedding date due to COVID, the change was accommodated without question. Oak mountain truly made my wedding vision come true! The scenery is gorgeous, our guests couldn’t stop talking about the mountaintop ceremony. The food was excellent, and the staff was amazing. Laura was so responsive and easy to work with. She handled so much behind the scenes work and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. We had to reschedule due to covid and again laura was so easy and understanding. It was worth waiting an extra year to have a dream wedding. Amazing wedding!
We had the most amazing wedding at Oak Mountain! Everything flowed smoothly thanks to Laura and her wonderful staff. The views were gorgeous, the food was excellent, and our guests had a great time. We were even able to go back up the mountain to take some photos at sunset and have some time to ourselves. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding day. -

We can’t say enough great things about Laura and the rest of the staff at Oak. From the first tour we took of the venue to the wedding day, it was all so easy and stress-free. They are so accommodating and great to work with. Not to mention Oak Mountain is absolutely beautiful. The top of the mountain in breathtaking with both mountain and lake views. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a rustic indoor reception, I would wholeheartedly recommend Oak without a doubt. They truly made our wedding day an amazing and beautiful experience. Oh and the food is AMAZING!!! -

Daughter's Wedding
This place is an amazing venue. From the owners to the staff they were all very professional and helpful. Laura is great about keeping in touch and telling you what you need to be doing. Her husband was awesome helping us when we didn't have something or broke something. It's family owned and the top of the mountain was beautiful.
